Recently did a pick up order. I called to get the biggest size pizza cut into squares and he made me sound dumb that they don't do that because it's a circle pizza. I know that it's a circle but I've had it done before at Bostons many times, not sure if the locations differ? I called back to confirm that was okay that they couldn't do squares (with who I was bringing the pizza to) and then when I called back he said we usually don't do phone orders for one pizza? I thought that was weird because it's still business and he was fine doing it for one the first time I called 5 mins before. Nonetheless he said he'll still do it for me which was helpful. I usually really like their pizza but it was personally a little overcooked this last time around making it a little hard to eat and chew. Usually I get the garlic spinach which is one of my favorites but I just got a pepperoni so maybe that played a role. One of my favorite pizzas ever! They are so large and feed so many! Tonight I ordered a white pizza with Spinach, Garlic, Mushroom, Mozzarella, and Pecorino Romano. And added pepperoni and jalapeños. Geeze, I can't believe the last time I was here was eight years ago. We decided to stop in and get a slice to go. You can order a whole pizza or buy by the slice. We looked in the showcase and they only had pepperoni and cheese. The hubby doesn't eat pork, so we went with the cheese. They give huge slices. It was actually two slices combined to make a slice. Not bad for $7. After you purchase the slice they'll reheat it for you in the oven. The slice was hot, cheesy and crispy from the thin crust. Yes..parking is a pain with smaller stalls facing busy Waialae and backing out can be a bit of a doozy. We called our large pizza order in at 5:15pm and arrived there at 5:35pm..pie was not in the oven yet. However, the guys were nice and apologized saying they were short staffed and backed up. After another 25 minutes we were able to pick up our order. During our wait we saw a lot of people walk in to place orders. So yes this place is busy. Second to last night of our 2 weeks in Hawaii and we were craving pizza. We wanted to get as close to home (NYC) as possible, so decided to order from here after scouring the reviews of pizza places in Honolulu. Had some high expectations given the reviews, and honestly it was ok. Giant pizza, way too much for two people, and plenty of toppings. However, I think if you gave me a few weeks I could make something similar at home. Nothing standout about any components of the pizza. Tasted similar to a frozen Digiorno pizza from the grocery store. No real flavor from the crust, and the tomato sauce was lackluster. May have been better if it were cooked longer and crisped up. Ours arrived floppy and messy. Disappointing, but still ate a third of it so no complaints. However, what really upset me was not just that the pizza was salty and oily, but also the customer service. First of all, my husband went online to place an order, and when he went to pick up the pizza, it was completely different from what he had ordered online. Somehow the website order was a Boston Pizza Special, but we picked our own ingredients. It was definitely not the Boston Special Pizza. My husband decided to drive all the way back to Kaimuki to explain the situation, but all they offered was a discount instead of making a new pizza for us. First of all, the pizza isn't cheap, and on top of that, we had to take the extra order, which meant we ended up paying for a new one. ( total of $80 something dollars). We definitely will not be ordering from them again. It was huge. It was overflowing out of the box it was so big. The toppings were tasty and most of the crust was food except for a little burnt part, but that happens with these thin-crust pizzas. Service here is OK, and parking can be hit or miss depending if there are any free stalls in front of the restaurant. I recommend calling in your order to avoid having to wait at the restaurant while they make your pie. We saw this spotlight of Kaimuki's Boston Pizza from a show on tv. I think it's the one with Taizo Braden, not sure what the title is. Anyways, after watching that we've been wanting to have pizza there. When we lived in Mililani we would always go to the Aiea Boston's Pizza. We love it there but now that we live in town, it's such a far drive to go there for pizza. We decided to try this Boston's to see if we could have a great pizza. Boston's is great because all of their ingredients are fresh. You can even see them making the pizza right in front of you. They toss the dough in the air and put the toppings on sauce right before your eyes. Covid has changed operations. Before you could order pizza by the slices but now they only take whole pie orders. My daughter and I tried to go here a few weeks ago to pick up some individual slices for dinner and found that out. I told her we can get some other time because I didn't want a whole pizza with her toppings, haha. She likes pineapple on her pizza . So the other week we ordered a whole pizza. We were able to do a half half pizza. So one half was the meatzilla with Jalapenos and the other half was the Boston's special. The Boston's special is just like a supreme pizza with bell peppers, onion, mushroom, black olives and pepperoni. The meatzilla has pepperoni, ham, sausage and bacon. We asked for pineapple on the Boston's special side on a few pieces but they said it had to be on the whole half. So we said okay. Pizza was ready when we went to pick up. When we opened it there was no pineapple. Oh wells. We had a can of pineapples at home so we just put some of those on my daughters pizza. The pizza was so good. Everything about it was so delicious.
