I'm not a vegan or vegetarian and you don't have to be to enjoy this place. I ate here recently for the first time with some friends who highly endorsed this restaurant. It's in a pretty random area along kamakee street. Easily walkable from South Shore Marketplace if you can't find closer parking. It is decorated very cutely with string lights and fairy lights on the tree which surround their outdoor seating area. They also have indoor seating if you prefer. The brick pizza oven is outside. The caesar salad was great, a little heavy on the dressing but definitely tastes like a normal good caesar salad even though it's vegan! The white pizza with the ricotta was amazing and pro tip would be to add the mushrooms. It was my favorite of the 2 pizzas we ordered. We also tried the Brooklyn which has vegan meatball, tomato sauce, basil and again, the ricotta. Yum! The vegan meat easily disguises itself as real sausage. The ricotta is so good on my walk back to the parking I heavily considered researching if it's possible to buy a similar vegan ricotta just from the store. The crust is also top notch which strongly contributes to the quality of the pizza. Pricing is reasonable and service was great. When it comes to that Ceasar Salad I have one word "WOAH" so creamy so crunchy so YUMMY and it doesn't hurt my tummy! Woohoo This is a really adorable place with a sort of outdoors upscale yet down to earth vibe they really nail the homey elegance. I came for a dinner with friends a party of three. My friend kept talking about this pizza place she went to a while back called "what it dough" that she couldn't find anymore; she said it was all vegan but was so good and she had started craving it as we were talking about some of our favorite vegan food memories. One day she sent me this place and said I think this is it and said she would know when we got there but doesn't remember the name being Floralia based off reviews I am assuming they made a name change at some point. My friend was very excited to show us the white pizza with the pesto base and additions she enjoyed last time. After trying to ask the waitress to help us find it she quickly recommended a pizza and my friend confirmed it would have the pesto as the base and she insisted it was that pizza. Unfortunately this was not the case and the pizza was the wrong pizza according to my friend (perhaps different chef who knows), the pesto was sprinkled in a few areas on top and the pizza didn't seemed cooked thoroughly in the middle which was the most disappointing part for me so we kind of at the outside. I also tried the tiramisu, it tasted like chocolate cake to me which is my least favorite cake flavor so it wasn't for me. I have since come back many times for the salad, even tried their new crowned Caesar salad (toppings weren't my fav) but I have yet to try another pizza because the first one was pretty disappointing. Oh my god, if you are reading this, then bookmark it or put it on your list to go! This is some dam good pizza. It's definitely up there as some of the best completely vegan pizza. We tried the Neapolitan style which you can tell the dough was fresh due to how soft it all was. They appear to be trying to expand to pastas which they have on weekends only and dine in only. I had to miss out on that due to grabbing a take out order. The place itself from a quick glance seemed like a chill vibe, with both indoor and outdoor areas and even a peek into the pizza making process and the fire oven. It's a shame they are only open for dinner and on certain days! Parking seemed to be street or there was a lot nearby. I actually made the trek over from the Whole Foods down the street where there's a big parking garage (5 mins walk at most). A must try for all vegans visiting the Waikīkī area. read more

My first vegan pizza. If you didn't know it was vegan you wouldn't know the difference. I started with a limoncello spritzer. It was a good size drink, refreshing and the price was very reasonable. The Cesar salad was huge enough for several people to share. Next time I would ask for the breadcrumbs on the side. They gave the salad a nice crunch but too much for me. The dressing was good. The pizza took awhile. I am amazed that they make all the ingredients. I ordered the Brooklyn because they were out of some ingredients for another pizza I wanted. Sometimes vegan food tastes too....vegan. I've had my share of bad vegan pizza but that is not the case for Floralia. Pizza is a hard food to successfully veganize without making it too "vegany" tasting but I so appreciate that there is a place devoted to making high quality unique vegan pizza. We got the paradiso pizza, Caesar salad, and tiramisu. All very good, but not jaw dropping or life changing like I've seen others describe it. Tiramisu was a little too strong (alcohol?) flavor for me. I think it was a special and not on the regular menu. Service was very slow for us, it's the first time I've had to go find the server after not getting a drink order after 20 minutes. I think it was an off night because of a large party behind us. It was mostly full when we arrived so it has a local/visitor following; I was there on vacay. It is a little off the beaten path tho there are a handful of businesses nearby. A fairly short walk from the very far end of the beach. We got the garlic rolls, salad, 2 pizzas, and 1 cannoli dessert. The garlic rolls were a special & they said we think we still have some so they must sell out quick or it is a special. Also got the cannoli so each half was 2 diff flavors. Fully Planted oasis... This slightly hidden gem offer a complete plant based menu all tucked amongst the industrial area just right across from Hawai'i Gas so yes parking it the biggest challenge for this part of the area but if you come just before they open not only do you get the choice of seating but parking as well, as we had no problems finding one just steps away. I love the vibe here as it's in the midst of a busy city area yet under the trees and string lights are the setting for some yummy pizzas and more. Upon arrival we check in with the host (is where you can find the specials as well) though it is open seating and are able to choose your seat whether it's under the trees or inside the covered area which is where we chose to seat it's a great view of the pizza oven along with the sun that was about to set is a nice way to wind down your day. One of my favorites is any veggie pizza though it seems like many of the menu items are just a base start versus piling on some loaded toppings so I decided on the classic Margherita and added mushrooms and omg the simplistic flavors it had and how light and I could taste every single ingredient along with the chewy crust this pizza is quite generous at 12" and made a perfect late night snack as I couldn't finish it all but they had a box that fit a half pizza perfectly. Floralia is located adjacent to a lot on the corner of Kapiolani and Kamake'e. There's lot of street parking even though the signs say "tow away zone". The hostess assured us we could park in those stalls. The Tivoli lights, red brick pizza oven and outdoor seating transport you from Kaka'Ako to a charming and bougie Italian pizzeria. A food truck off to the side is evidence of their humble beginnings. They definitely have grown and evolved. I'm genuinely happy for Floralia. They do not take reservations and there is outdoor indoor seating. Our most recent visit was Valentine's Day and it was busy. My husband is vegan and we frequent Floralia and will always come back even though there was a 40 min wait for our pizza, even though they forgot our meatball (which is bomb BTW). They have a nice selection of wine and drinks. We had salad and dessert to start while waiting for our pizza. Wood fired pizza This place has been in my bookmarks for a while, so I'm glad I finally got to try it. Floralia's concept is vegan pizza made from scratch. Yelp BFF and I ordered a Brooklyn and cannoli to share. The crust has the nice char from being fired in the hot pizza oven. The toppings include meatballs, ricotta, basil, and parmesan over a bed of NY style tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. I'm not a huge fan of cannoli's, so I only took a couple bites. Because what could be wrong with open-air, patio dining under string lights? Nothing! Not one thing...also, cool 80's rock playlist def spoke to our Gen X spirits. Took us back to our corner table dates way back in the day. But this is not your old school pizza! This is revolutionary pizza. It's pizza that satisfies the grown-up us, the sophisticated palates we've developed over five decades. But it's pizza that would make any kid ask for seconds. (True because we saw kids asking for seconds!) Have the Caesar salad. It's the best I've ever tasted and I've had my share of freshly made, table-side salads tossed by tuxedo-wearing wait help. NO comparison. Floralia has them beat hands down. The Pizetta is also a MUST-try. It was a special that they added to their regular menu and I'm forever grateful. This is also the best pizza my taste buds have ever been treated to--they are still thanking me AND asking me when I'll indulge them again! Perfection on a plate--a combination of savory, sweet, creamy, chewy. It was a mind-altering experience! We also tried the Paradiso and finished off with the pistachio cannoli both were delightful and did not disappoint. I had no idea Floralia was a fully plant-based restaurant. And, while the internet says it is not the same thing, I believe Floralia is entirely vegan. Which makes it all the more impressive. I've been wanting to try Floralia for a while. They have a beautiful back-door ambiance, with outdoor and indoor seating. Pretty bobble lights throughout overhanging trees and a brick pizza oven give the restaurant a communal feel. And the food was really impressive. My family has no problems with meat/dairy, but I would come again just for the flavors. The Caesar salad was exceptionally good and creamy. We also tried the focaccia, Margareta pizza and a pistachio cannoli. Overall, the prices are slightly higher than a traditional pizzaria, but we left feeling full and I have a better appreciation for plant-based cuisine. The service was excellent! They also have a full bar and new cocktails. Really nice place for a casual date night. It wasn't too crowded for a Wednesday night but the vibes are great. We found street parking infront of the restaurant since it wasn't busy. Not sure if they have a parking lot dedicated for customers. I love how it's an open kitchen and you see them put the pizza in the wood fire oven. Food came out timely and we just enjoyed some wine while waiting. We got pinot grigio and another white wine that our server recommended. We ordered the ceasar salad which was so simple yet so tasty. The balance between the lemon and cheese was perfect. The White pizza added a sausage topping was good for two. The ingredients were evenly distributed and worked well with each other. Cute new spot right behind McKinley Car Wash. It's vegan and I am definitely not, but the food was delicious enough that it didn't matter. Service is good, gets a little busier during peak times which is to be expected. Food is pretty quick and portions are good sized. The pizzas are not super crispy but sturdy enough that I can hold it up and everything stays on it. The flavors were tasty and if I didn't know it was vegan not sure how easily I would have actually thought it was vegan- IYKYK. The cannoli was also yummy! Pretty large size too. Tables and booths were cozy, but the red LED lights plus ceiling fans were an interesting combo. Also one of the lights kept getting brighter, then would dim out which was a bit of an eye sore. My main concern was the Wellness Fee. I understand and acknowledge that it is a great concept to be able to provide employee benefits for your staff, however, as the customer, that shouldn't be my responsibility. Pay your workers a fair wage WITH benefits, without putting that on your customers. If you as a business can't afford to do it on your own, I believe you need to rethink your business structure. Hubs wanted Italian for dinner. He didn't want to go too far or wait too long since he was hungry. Found Floralia. We found a table to sit while Hubs went to order all the things on the chalkboard specials with the chef at the front desk. It's a totally vegan wood-fired pizza place, what's not to love? We came with my parents (my mother is vegan, my dad and I are vegetarian, and my husband is omnivorous) for dinner while we were visiting them in Hawaii, and I am pretty sure we're going back again next time we visit! We ordered three of the wood-fired Neapolitan style pizzas (I don't think we saw the New York style on the menu at the time), the Marinara (because my husband is wary of vegan cheese and wanted something to fall back on), the Paradiso, and the Pesto Royale. We also got a side of the Caesar dressing to dip the crust in, and I 100% recommend it! None of the pizzas were disappointing (even the Marinara one), but the Pesto Royale was probably my favorite, and the Paradiso was the favorite of my Mom and the husband by a landslide! Dad was tied between the Pesto Royale and the Paradiso, so we're definitely going to have to get that again next time, LOL. The crust is really authentic to other Neapolitan pizza places I've been to (don't be fooled by other reviews lamenting burnt spots on the crusts, that's part of this style of pizza and they were absolutely doing it right), and the Caesar dressing as dipping sauce for the crusts was divine! (They also have marinara and a vegan hot honey sauce, which we may need to also try next time... Or just get a second dipping cup of Caesar, it's so good!) We also got basically all the desserts that were available at the time--Cheesecake (w/cherries), Tiramisu, and both the chocolate chip and pistachio cannolis. My Italian (by blood) husband said the shell on the cannolis were spot on and perfect, and we liked the pistachio one best. My parents' favorite was the Tiramisu (the cheesecake was okay, but the other desserts simply outshone it). The outdoor area was really nice in the evening, and from what we could see of it, the interior dining area also looked nice. I like that you can see the oven and the kitchen area looks like a food truck (probably a nod to their origins?). Okay I never thought I'd be down for vegan pizza, but here we are eating almost a whole damn pie cause it's that good. Discovered Floralia a year or so ago on a whim, and it's become my favorite! The fact that it's all vegan makes it feel healthy. Like I don't feel heavy or gross after it. My go to is the Pesto Royale, which is absolutely delicious. My 2nd go to is the Paradiso. The "proteins" on each are enjoyable and aren't offputting like other vegan proteins. I really enjoy the authentic coal fire taste, which can only be achieved with their professional oven. The Ceasar salad is delicious, but is kind of small for the portion size. Cannolis are pretty big, and both pistachio and chocolate chip are tasty. The outdoor seating area is preferred, as it can get pretty toasty in their newer indoor dining area. A few gripes. I often leave super parched, which i think has to do with the salt content of their pizzas. Crust will also be on the softer side, meaning it'll often limp from the toppings and sauce. Parking can be hit or miss, with multiple towing signs - haven't run into any issues though. The last time I went, the hostess/server was a tad unpleasant. I preordered for takeout but when we arrived, my friends and I changed our minds and wanted to each there since the courtyard had such a nice ambience. At first the hostess obliged by providing water cups, napkins and plates, but was pretty cold and ignored us for the rest of the night. Keep in mind there were only 2 other tables dining in. Left a tip anyway for her time, but just felt super unwanted. For those reasons, will likely continue with just takeout orders. read more

The salad had a nice balance of salty, bitterness, and sweetness to it! It was really easy to eat and I love that they use their own bread crumbs for the topping. They also used pears to cut the saltiness in the salad. Highly recommend! **Margherita pizza (3/10) ~ This was cooked in the Wood-Fire oven and it was pretty bad. I'm a Floralia regular, absolutely in love with their food, and been one of their biggest fans. What is also true is that today was a huge let down. The food was absolutely delicious, however, the wait time and service was horrendous. I phone ordered my two pizzas at 5:37pm, came by to pick them up at 6pm, and (finally) received them at 6:30pm. I was told on the phone my pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes. I also had to prompt the waitress at 6:30pm to ask her the status of my pizzas, and they were sitting there on the table for an unknown amount of time. The wait staff was inattentive, and it appeared they prioritized people dining in as I was not the only one with a prolonged wait time for their take out order. I'm still so disappointed, and I was late to my destination. I'm also so shocked at this downward turn. I'm not giving up on them as I'm a loyal fan, but I will most certainly be planning way in advance if I order take out from them. I will still recommend people to this place, however, not without a huge warning that service and production are a challenge and a recommendation to have patience. Please do better. read more

The best pizza I have ever had! We were staying in Waikiki and I had read about Floralia. When I suggested taking Uber to the restaurant, my mom argued "why bother? It is Hawaii! They are not known for their pizza!" I got her to agree to go and we were both so glad we did! The pizza was so tasty and we had the best strawberry cheesecake. The courtyard was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were very sweet and seemed very dedicated! The only thing I would improve is having two servers not just one! Not vegan but I'm a foodie. We had craving for pizza and decided to give Floralia a try. Ambiance is cool. Nice out door seating and plenty of shade under the tree. Onto the pizza. Margherita (4.5/5) - not sure I would be able to tell this was vegan. Flavorful and the sauce is very tasty. Dough is chewy although I prefer a thin crust. Pesto Royale (3/5) - this was ok. Vegan sausage did not do it for me. Nor did the vegan goat cheese. I couldn't tell any resemblance of goat cheese flavor. Pesto flavor was good tho. Consistency is also different from your traditional meat pizza. One big plus of Vegan pizza is that it's NOT oily at all. We didn't have oil dripping off our pizza while taking bites. Canoli (5/5) - tried the pistachio one. Delicious and rich in flavor. Plus the canoli has a nice crunch to it, which elevated the canoli in my book! Service (3/5) - we called in our order for take out. The lady on the front was taking phone orders so it took a bit of time for her to acknowledge me. Then after saying " I'll be with you", she got another take out order and had to put me "on hold" . The prices from the website does not reflect their actual price with regards to the Canoli. It went up by $1. Not a big deal but I would expect a respectable establishment to notify their customers - "FYI we have raised the price for our canolis by $1..." Or perhaps the management is not aware of the discrepancy of what their website says and the actual price on their board. Overall, they're ok. Not great but not bad. The canoli was the best part for me. I'm willing to try out the other pizza and definitely Canolis but will likely call in our orders again. Enjoying my weekend gathering with a few foodie friends we had our minds set on pizza for lunch. Off we went in search for highly recommended "What it Dough". What we happily found was Floralia, the renamed vegan pizza establishment in same location. It was a first for me and was happy to see somewhat dedicated parking on an otherwise busy location. We'll, at least the staff @ Floralia told us where to park. The approach was nicely groomed with trellises and foliage and the place looked inviting. Lots of courtyard outdoor seating with coverage. Ordering was easy. We shared a MASSIVE calzone, pizza of the day and cannoli for dessert. The food was delicious and not overly rich, leaving a good yet full feeling. Only recommendation is to have pizza cooked just a few moments longer as bottom was slightly soggy. Will I be back? You betcha! Right now Floralia is under capital development and planning to expand location. Looking forward to see what is coming next. read more

We were blown away by the best vegan pizza we've ever had! Been to a ton of them all over the mainland and this one beats my favorite vegan pizza back there, hands down. The specials were Mexican street corn pizza and guava cheesecake. Since everything is vegan here, I had to get both of those items. They were beyond my expectations. The flavors were exquisitely balanced in the street corn pizza and the pesto pizza we got. My spouse loves pesto so we always get one. Not sure what they do to the peppers on top of the pesto pizza, but they were super delicious. I had one on its own and wow, so tasty. The vegan meat on top was well-seasoned. Every component was yummy on its own. It's no wonder the whole pizza was amazing. Clearly, they care about the food they make. The guava cheesecake was creamy and so good. Not too sweet like it's often the issue at other places when I get dessert. Also, must get the Caesar salad. Great. Vegans and omnivores alike will love this place because it is just crazy good food, period. Exceptional service. The person with the big beard seemed to be either the owner or manager and their job was just to oversee that everything was running smoothly. The person bussing the tables dropped something and everyone else pitched in and helped them quietly wipe up and clean. No mean looks or words were given to the person who made the mistake. They just seem like lovely people. Hard working and compassionate. The restaurant is by a bunch of vegans that volunteer at the Aloha (farmed) Animal Sanctuary on the Windward side, based on the t-shirts most of them were wearing. You can tell all the food and the establishment in general is made with love. Thank you for existing and feeding us! We will be back on a regular basis. Will bring all our visiting friends. Whenever I'm at a dinner party and the subject of pizza comes up everyone has a different go to spot. I can confidently recommend Floralia to non-vegans. The crust is not too thick or thin you can't go wrong when it's fired up in brick oven. Is it the weekend? I have dreams during the week of FRESH! Fresh dough, fresh nut cheeses, fresh toppings. Open Friday to Sunday. My favorite is the white pizza that has vegan mozzarella and Parmesan and a cashew ricotta I like to add mushrooms and sometimes garlic. Margherita is a great classic with san marzano tomato sauce vegan cheese and fresh basil. Let's not forget the mouthwatering Pesto Royale sausage, ricotta, pesto, bell peppers. Pies range from $16-$20 and add additional for $3 Calzones now on the menu classic 19 pesto 21 Cannoli $6 pistachio or chocolate chip. Perfect crisp pastry that's not oily and light cream inside. Stop by eat it right out of the brick oven on one of their outdoor seating tables. Always a good vibe. read more

The female servers at this joint be soulless. Walking around "serving" like they aint getting paid like we FORCED them to go to work today. Lol. Smdh. It's okay to find a different job sis. I get it, we're all trying to pay bills and life aint easy but.. you don't have to be miserable and drag people down with you, most times unknowingly. It lowers the quality of the sit-down experience 110%. They need to reimagine how they Need to operate better because customer service is your number one flex. Even if you don't serve the best food, but the service was Excellent, people remember the Experience and people more than the food on a deeper level. They better start to understand that. Additionally, the bathroom needs to be deep CLEANED. I didn't even want to touch anything in there. Dusty, grimy, moldy.. first experience and most likely last. Floralia has a lovely shaded outdoor seating area. So nice watching the pizza being made fresh while we ate the appetizers. Great martini too (even my picky grandmother who is usually very critical agreed). Our server was lovely and brought water out for our dogs! read more
