    Pesto Parmigiano Pizza

Food was amazing, Service was quick and efficient. With one woman taking orders and serving everyone who came in, and the other was cooking. The lady in the front was very nice and attentive, provided complimentary water for me. We got the Linguini Pink Scampi, Caprese Piadina, and the Pesto Parmigiano Pizza. We probably could've gone without the Piadina, as it was a little soggy. But the Pizza and Scampi were delicious!! I will be returning to try as many pizzas as I can. There were only 4 tables for the restaurant, but it was not that busy on a Saturday night dinner. All in all it was good and would definitely come back again for a good Pizza.

On a rainy Manoa night, there is a place that can satiate any moon-size appetite with their awesome pizzas. Aroma Italia is a small but quaint place with some very thin-crust pizza. They have a charming variety to appease many personalities. I decided to go with "The Cannibale" that has beef pepperoni, sausage and meatballs along with olives, bell peppers, mushrooms, olive oil and tomato sauce. This pizza was perfect and I would definitely order this again. The main purpose of any meal is dessert, they don't disappoint due to an excellent selection of gelato. They do have tiramisu too! There are salads and pastas that can be complemented by a pizza by the slice. Whatever you crave, you will definitely find a scrumptious meal at Aroma Italia.

A pizza my cravings... Nothing like a slice of pizza and this Manoa Marketplace location is the place to go. Not only do they offer the whole pie but slices as well for a great price ($5-$13) besides salads, pasta and sandwiches the choices here ranges on your cravings. I was quite impressed of how many do order here and with a few tables both inside and outside enjoy it at your leisure is also something that many seem to take advantage of as well. Really came in for just a slice and noticed this giant hunk of goodness on the top shelf which was Chicken and Pesto Focaccia along with the load of veggies that one was calling me and gosh what a yummy bite with not just chicken and pesto but veggies from onion, olives, mushrooms, tomatoes and more that I probably missed but the flavor was amazing. As the group of folks came and went I noticed how the display case emptied out in no time. A wonderful spot that did fill me up my only thing is how they warm it up wasn't as hot as getting one freshly made as I assume it could char it further though don't expect it to be pipping hot but indeed full of yummy flavor. Thank you!

Decided to try this place in Manoa with a friend. Someone recommended the pepperoni pizza saying it was, "the best pepperoni pizza of their life". I'm not going to lie, it was pretty good and better than your pizza hut, papa John's, and costco pepperoni pizza but i wouldnt say it was the best I've ever had. But the highlight of our experience was the caprese piadina. If you love juicy food, it's dripping with deliciousness. It's basically a pizza sandwich. It's hard to describe it but trust me, it's worth trying. Like if I were to come back I'd come back for their piadinas. Food is a little expensive and there's limited seats inside but a few tables outside and around the complex.

Pizza was extremely greasy, overly salty and the anchovies were paste-like/baby food consistency. Over all Safeway frozen pizza would've been a better bet.

The pepperoni pizza slice (two slices) was the best pepperoni pizza I have ever eaten, I just had to take a lot of the grease off from the top of the slices! The cashier lady working today was pretty abrupt and almost rude but usually it's a much friendlier staff working which I truly appreciate. The vibe is true to Manoa and there's always a table open when I go there on a weekend afternoon.

The $10 mini-pizza is perfect for those days when you skip breakfast (who, me?) and need a big lunch. It works just as well for splitting lunch with a friend.

Staff is very friendly. Very limited seating inside and outside of establishment. I got the daily special. Personal pie with pesto, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Crust was tough and chewy, even after they reheated it. $14+ pizza with a Mexican Coke.

If you're looking for a quick bite, definitely check out this small Italian restaurant in Manoa Marketplace. They have pizzas, pastas, and other Italian dishes. I wanted a quick meal so I got a slice of their Daily Special. It was a Margherita base with Bresaola (beef prosciutto), Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes, and Shaved Parmesan. The pizza was delicious and they reheat the slice for you! All of the ingredients blended nicely together with the Bresaola being my favorite. The crust was the perfect thickness with a slight crisp and chew. I can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu!

Hands down, our favorite Italian restaurant on Oahu is Aroma Italia. Opened a few years ago, I loved walking there with the pup and recommended it many people. Whenever we're craving for pasta, I order takeout and love the drive to pick it up below Diamond Head. How fun was it then to read that Aroma Italian took over the old pizza shop in Manoa Marketplace. Already having the ovens ready, it was just a matter of changing the decor to make it their own. Aroma Italia at Manoa doesn't have pasta - it's a pizzeria and has a few salads and side dishes. The quality of ingredients is up to their standards, with great flavor. Pies comes in medium and large sizes; you may want to order on the side of caution as it's a lot of food. The style is thin crust, made crispy and soft. Wait times were only about 20 minutes, during which we shopped elsewhere in the marketplace. We ordered two kinds on our first visit - pepperoni and primavera (with olives, artichokes, etc.). I always look forward to our Friday pizza nights and the drive to Manoa made it extra fun. Prices are reasonable for the sides. They also have a gelato counter, so if you're inclined it's a great place to grab it for dessert or a snack all on its own. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Cute little pizza place in Manoa. Ordered a Margarita pizza and 2 flatbread pizza. Special of the Day and a Vegi. Burrata e Pomodori salad. Person who took our order was very helpful. Thank you for your patience in explaining your menu. Delicious pizza's and Salad. Will definitely come for lunch again.

Italian cuisine in Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii... A Social Media post announced that the first day of Soft Opening for Aroma Italia would be on 12-4-23, Monday. I marked my calendar and made my way over to Manoa Marketplace to be there by 11am. Parking was free and easy. I walked up to the counter since I was the first sit-down customer of the day. (There were 3 tables with six seats.) I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a slice of Primavera pizza and took a seat in the cozy, clean shop. The female cashier was efficient and helpful. She explained that they don't have pasta at this location. They do have Salads, sandwiches, and Gelato from La Gelateria. I think it was the manager who brought my order to me. After a few minutes, he came to check on me. I should have asked for a napkin... LOL! I did tell him that I didn't need the chili pepper Flakes. He took them back so someone else may have them. The two slices could have tasted better if they were warmed up. I took some of the Primavera pizza home to heat up in the airfryer. It made the crust more crunchy. I do understand that this was the first day of operation and that the Grand Opening will be in January. I know that this is their second location and that the first location (on Monsarrat Avenue in the Diamond Head area of Honolulu) has high ratings. I'm sure that they will be up to speed in no time! Welcome to your second location in Manoa! Best wishes for success and happiness, Aroma Italia!

Second time that I visited Aroma Italia on their soft opening week. They were in the old Ohana Hale Marketplace and now have a brick-n-mortar on Monsarrat Avenue. This store in the Manoa Marketplace is a pizzeria and gelateria...offering slices as well as whole pies. My initial visit, I ordered a slice of their Margherita. Classic pizza that any pizza eatery should do well. I like ( don't luv ) Neapolitan style pizza, but it was good...$4+ for a Margherita slice...not sure regarding the pricing for other slices. On my second time, I got a foccacia pie. Basically a single serving...or am I a pig?!? Fluffy and cheesy it was pretty good. I make the qualifier as it was likely made that morning and I was there after the lunch rush. Parking is not too much of a problem as they are in the Manoa Marketplace where J&B was situated, next to La Crepe Cafe. Hours: daily from 1100 till 2000.

After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere.

We go early for lunch on Sundays and grab a seat outside. The proprietor was especially kind and friendly to my FIL and I appreciated that. Overall this is the second best NY style pizza place after black shamrock by a small margin - the Jersey pie at shamrock with its awesome sauce and perfect crust is hard to beat but don't think you can order it by the slice. Not kid-friendly, rude hostess, bland marinara…read more I was staying near this restaurant on vacation with a 3 year old toddler. For anyone who doesn't have a 3 y.o., they can be very picky eaters. Since Sao Paolo was in walking distance, I called to ask if they serve a child's portion of spaghetti and marinara, which the girl on the phone confirmed. I reiterated that I was asking about a children's portion of spaghetti and marinara, which she confirmed. I asked a third time that it would be spaghetti and plain red sauce (nothing spicy, no meat bits, etc), and got a "yes." I placed an order, waited 15 minutes and walked down there to pick it up. The hostesses were friendly and I paid $18 (plus 10% tip) for the small bowl of pasta. They asked me how my day was going, and I joked that it would be better now, since I could finally give my kid his favorite "red spaghetti." I walked back to my hotel room to feed my child, but when I opened the container, I let out a loud frustrated sigh when I saw a bowl of penne and marinara, not spaghetti. Again, this is for a TODDLER, and my toddler only eats spaghetti, not penne. In frustration, I called Sao Paulo and explained the situation. When I told the young hostess (who obviously doesn't have children) that my toddler doesn't eat penne, he only eats spaghetti, she actually laughed at me on the phone, which I found to be very rude. I told her this is not funny, that I'm desperately trying to feed my picky toddler on vacation, and that I specifically asked for spaghetti - several times - on the phone. She said she would have to consult her manager, which I found odd, because honestly, we're talking about probably 50 cents worth of pasta to this restaurant, which I paid $18 for. That's a 3,500% profit. After putting me on hold for several minutes, the hostess told me they would give me another children's portion of actual spaghetti at no extra charge. That "no extra charge" part was emphasized to me, like they're making a great sacrifice by giving me another 50 cents worth of pasta. I also looked at their kids menu online while trying to resolve the situation, and it says "perfectly cooked pasta" with marinara, NOT penne, so I don't understand their problem here. If their kids menu had said "penne" specifically, I would understand how this was my mistake, not theirs. My wife volunteered to get the replacement spaghetti and marinara because she could tell I might not be very polite to the hostess for laughing at me on the phone. She came back with a second container of... PLAIN spaghetti with NO marinara sauce, which again, my toddler would not eat. Our only solution was to rub the penne on the spaghetti to get as much marinara on it as possible. (The things parents do for their kids...) My toddler then ate some. I would estimate there was probably 10 cents worth of marinara sauce on the penne. So Sao Paolo saved themselves 10 cents by giving me dry replacement spaghetti. While all this happened, my toddler had a 30 minute meltdown in our hotel room because his dada had promised him his favorite "red spaghetti" when I first placed the order, only to get screwed by Sao Paolo twice. I believe the manager at Sao Paulo gave us dry spaghetti on purpose as a sort of f-you to us. This was a very mean-spirited thing to do to a family traveling with a young child, even if we're just a bunch of stupid haole. It was definitely not keeping with the "aloha spirit." I would remind all employees at Sao Paolo that they are supposed to practice Kokua and Lokomaika'i, even to mainlanders. If you're a parent with a picky eater child, don't count on Sao Paolo restaurant to listen to you or care about your situation. They are actively rude to and dismissive of parents traveling with young children. They will act like giving you 50 cents worth of pasta is a big deal, even if their mistake caused the whole problem in the first place. BTW, I ate the "perfectly cooked" penne. It was overcooked and mushy (the pasta fell apart while I ate it), and the "house-made" marinara was bland. It tasted like canned Chef Boyardee.

The price was a little steep, though. I paid around $26 for the sandwich including a few dollars for tip. It was really good, though, so I'd get it again as a nice lunch treat!

This restaurant provides excellent Italian food for an affordable price! I always pass by this…read morerestaurant but decided to try it with my family and wasn't disappointed. The menu selection is large ranging from pasta to pizza. They have a lot of different types and the appetizers were great as well. Restaurant is BYOB with a glass fee (3-5$ a glass I think) Parking lot outside gets full fast but there is street parking on the surrounding neighborhood just a short walk away.

They also have a private parking lot, which is always a plus. Service was good, and they offer pizzas in addition to their pasta dishes. I ordered the Linguini Pink Scampi, which was quite tasty. The pasta was generously coated in a rich, creamy pink sauce, with several large shrimp nestled throughout. The dish was hearty and satisfying, although my only complaint was that the shrimp still had their tails attached, which made them a little inconvenient to eat. My spouse ordered the lasagna, which arrived covered in a generous layer of melted cheese and Parmesan. It looked rich and hearty, but he found it a bit too gooey, with what he felt was too much red sauce and cheese. The lasagna noodles were also overcooked, taking away from the overall texture. For dessert, I had the Affogato. The creamy vanilla gelato slowly melting beneath a shot of espresso made for a simple but enjoyable finish to the meal. The contrast between the rich coffee and sweet, cold gelato was quite nice. Overall, it was a good experience. There were a few things that could have been better, but we'd definitely consider coming back again to try some of the other dishes.
