Food was so good, we went for Valentine's day with no reservation. But we were luckily able to get seats at the bar. The food was not crazy expensive. We got a good amount of food and drinks. And was less than a set meal at another restaurant we did have reservations too. So pretty great deal in my opinion. The Gambas Al Ajillo went great with the Garlic Parmesan Bread. I have really enjoyed seeing how their Spanish/Italian Tapa style menu has evolved over the years and at the same time, love that the cool chic colorful Havana style interior and vibe has stayed the same. My favorite dishes: the smoky savory Melanzane topped with jalapeños, the perfectly sweet tender grilled pork belly pinchos, the classic Spanish tortilla, garlicky salty Gambas al ajillo, and any of the paellas or caldosos which you can't find many other places on island. I would also suggest adding an order of their garlic Parmesan bread to dip into their delectable sauces. On a recent visit, I also tried their American wagyu sirloin, pancetta artichoke aglio e olio special, and the honey beybe cocktail (lavender earl grey) which I will definitely be ordering again. Came here for a late mother's day celebration and wife really liked the place, especially the wood oven pizza. We also had their seafood paiea and a spicy pasta dish. All were good and tasty. Service was very good, we came right at opening time, and ambiance was elegant casual. Kind of felt a little underdressed in shorts and a t-shirt, but it was fine. Located in Kapahulu, Rigo is a nice Spanish/Italian restaurant. There is a parking lot with the restaurant, however we were told it was only parking with valet. We valeted so we did not have to hunt for street parking, but would have preferred to park ourselves. Inside, the restaurant is spacious with a variety of tables, booths, and more. We were seated on a bench/booth and chairs. We were offered additional pillows for the bench, which helped make the seating more comfortable. The people working were attentive and polite. We ordered the crostini, which I was a little skeptical about with the papaya. However, it was a delicious combination with the prosciutto, honey, and cheese. I ordered the Paella Negra, which had squid ink. It was also yummy. It was tasty and especially good with the lemon squeezed over it, which paired well with the squid. I could not finish it, so I ended up taking a little container. The paella was about $35, which was pricey for us, but the ingredients and portion were excellent. The best Italian, thus far! I'm glad we ended up here.. We walked in without a reservation yesterday around 5p and staff was welcoming. We were seated right away at the bar. Bartenders were friendly. I got the Pineapple Shrub mocktail which was refreshing. I ordered the Cacio a Pepe which has 2 kinds of cheese and fried prosciutto and made the noodles GF and lemme tell you... the BEST! So far, my favorite Italian place here. Even my Asian dad who generally doesn't like Western food likes their pasta! Food: The pasta noodles are made from scratch which has this Al dente texture and flavor that your typical grocery boxed pastas can't replicate. Last night, I got their carbonara with portobella fritto. It was super creamy and I like how the portobello frits is lightly fried. My friends got bologna and arrabbiata with smoked mozzarella which were also solid choices. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their pasta choices. Although the portion of the pastas looks "small,"it's actually filling since it's very heavy and the big plate gives the illusion that the portion is small. Another must-try is their bismark pizza that has truffle oil, funghi, and a runny egg in the middle. Super flavorful especially since they use wood fire to bake it. Service: our server was very friendly and well-spoken. Atmosphere: slightly more on the noisy side so you may have to talk a little louder when dining with people. We went to Rigo in Kapahulu for Valentine's Day yesterday, and I can't believe I've passed by it so many times without ever noticing it. From the outside, it's kind of a hole-in-the-wall tucked away in plain sight. They have a small parking lot, and since we went during lunch, I was able to find parking easily. They also offer complimentary valet at lunch, but I got there before the valet started, so I just parked myself, which I didn't mind at all. I've also heard that some people park across the street in the Safeway lot. Once you walk in, the ambiance is clean, cozy, and has a really nice elevated feel. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. For appetizers, we ordered the verdure fritte and the melanzane, and both were so good. I was honestly already getting full after the apps, but it was Valentine's Day and my boyfriend wanted the full experience lol. For our entrées, we had the lobster risotto and the Bismark pizza. The risotto was rich and flavorful, but the pizza was probably the best I've ever had. The crust was perfect and everything was cooked just right. The portions were a good size. For drinks, my boyfriend had a shiso hi-ball and I ordered a mocktail. To end the meal, I had an affogato, without it I would've kanack'd. We actually found out about this place because my boyfriend came here for his work Christmas party and loved it so much that he wanted to bring me and I'm so glad he did. Delicioso! Made last minute reservations with Rigo to celebrate Yelp BFF's birthday. We ordered a few tapas, pasta and pizza to share. Rigo is a Spanish, Italian fusion restaurant with a modern twist. The appetizers are categorized as either Spanish or Italian influenced. We shared the pulpo (octopus) with a side of garlic bread and pork belly tacos. The garlic bread was perfect for soaking up all the extra tomato sauce that came with the octopus. Instead of a tortilla shell, the pork belly tacos came on a thinly sliced radish. It gave the dish an overall lightness, yet bite. After the apps, we received the cacio e pepe and pizza bismark. Both were yummy! We had a couple of extra slices of pizza to take home. For dessert, we shared the chocolate cassata and basque cheesecake. Made a reservation for 4 adults and 2 children and they were very accommodating. We were seated on a table with a couch that had extra wiggle room. Service was very attentive and all the staff there were very friendly. For appetizers, we ordered Patatas Bravas, Melanzane, Calamari Fritti, and the Garlic Parmesan Bread. A little bit too spicy for me and very tart tomato flavor but you can really taste the smoked mozzarella. I should've known it would be too spicy for me when it said it was a chili kneaded spaghetti lol. Hence, a flashy red-mosaic Stefano Ferrara oven, handmade by a third-generation oven maker in Naples, to the Josper charcoal oven and grill from Spain. Likely the only one in Hawai'i. The Food: We settled in for a late Tuesday dinner and, reminiscing about our past trips to Spain, leaned into the Spanish side of the menu. We fired up the tastebuds with the corn mousse & uni. This dish perfectly captured the East-meets-West theme of the menu. Served chilled, light, silky, with a custardy mouthfeel and a subtle corn flavor As sexy as it looked, the uni's flavor got a bit lost in the mousse. The grilled pulpo was exceptionally tender and slightly smoky, paired with roasted potatoes and a bright tomato base. A classic Spanish dish that made us teary eyed for Barcelona. The salami jalapeño took the trophy for most interesting dish of the night. Baked spicy salami and cheese that comes bubbling hot in a clay ramekin flanked with toast points. I may have to supersize this dish for the Super Bowl. Not wanting to cause an international incident, we crossed the border into Italy and ordered the Lobster Risotto. Definitely the highlight of the meal. Creamy but not heavy, the rice infused with a wonderful lobster fragrance and the lobster ate sweet and tender. Extraordinary experience at Rigo this week! For our one-day visit to Oahu and tour at Pearl Harbor, I dug deep into researching restaurants for dinner. I didn't want to be in a hotel (which dramatically reduced options). Since we love the food in Spain and Italy, I locked into Rigo. Best decision! Mickey expertly guided us through the menu and we loved every bite! Started off with a half order of jamon bellota (tip: get the full order) and patatas bravas. Shared the Australian lamb chops, the divine red king crab and jumbo shrimp paella, pizza Bismarck, crème brûlée, and chocolate cake. Wow! So good. The pizza was the best I've ever had in my life, same for the crème brûlée. Besides the wonderful service from Mickey (and truly every person at Rigo, including manager Jimmy) the decor, atmosphere, and the neighbors at the next table, made the evening unforgettable! The casual yet upscale ambiance of the room has always been inviting. Great spot to enjoy cocktails Get there early if you need parking, space is limited. My favorite tapas - Vongole, crostini, calamari. Grilled octopus is my favorite but I've never been a fan of the sauce. Carbonara was rich in flavor but not enough guanciale or fried prosciutto to my liking. Missed dessert tonight but left fairly satisfied with the meal. Valet parking is $5, tip not included. Street parking may be hard to find but there is parking right in front of the restaurant if you're lucky. Reservations are recommended. The past 2 times I went without a reservations, I sat at the bar, which I didn't mind. Bar seating is first come first serve. It's a nice restaurant. Casual, trendy, great for a special dinner as it's on the nicer side. The service is excellent. Food is great! This time I got the Sushi Roll- good app to share for 2 ppl, the Seafood Paella- definitely recommend and I'm going to get this again, and Alfredo w/ chicken. The Alfredo sauce was delicious. I had amazing service from my waiter! Every service was excellent. I went during Valentine's Day and the specials were the perfect pear cocktail and it was very good! The fresh catch this day was mahi-mahi and it was buttery soft!! Pork cutlet was a little bland but still yummy! Definitely recommend the fresh catch of the day!! read more

We had reservations for 8pm, and got to sit at the bar, until the table was ready. The ambiance was laid back, with a local but classy vibe. The misses had a Lai Tai, and I opted for the Maui Blonde. As an appetizer, Garlic bread it was. Delish for simple bread. Next the main course. I had the Rigatoni bolognese, and the misses had the seafood spaghetti. Both were amazing and did not disappoint. The bill was a cool C note plus, but well worth the price. A definite must if visiting Oahu. read more

Located on Kapahulu Ave where former Genki Sushi was, it has the same smallish parking lot next to it but with a valet service for $5 CASH ONLY from 4:30 pm - close. Host or manager is dressed in a nice dinner jacket so it already feels special upon entering. The bar is horse-shoe-ish with lots of cocktails to choose from that don't disappoint. I loved the Mixed Berry Sangria! Next time I'm gonna order a pitcher for the table! Menu is Spanish-Italian with seasonal specials. Everything I've ever tried here didn't disappoint. You can kind of see the Chefs at work if you're sitting near the bar in front of restaurant. Only thing to be aware of is the place can get loud. So if you're trying to have a private intimate conversation or with someone hearing impaired it could be challenging. But that being said, it's kid friendly. Bathrooms are small but nice and clean. Service is always stellar! Servers are patient, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly! We enjoyed being served by Fuzuki this time and she was awesome! We didn't have to wait for anything and the bartendress delivered our drinks to us personally. We shall return! read more

We had a large group and they gave us a private room in the back, which was nice because it was insulated and allowed us to hear each other. We ordered many dishes from both the Italian and Spanish sides of the menu. I was skeptical that a combination of food from these countries would work, but it did, and worked better than fusion food. Outstanding was the vongole appetizer, which was presented in a flavorful, buttery broth that mopped up nicely with garlic bread. Also delicious was the polpi appetizer, which was a combination of grilled octopus and crusty potatoes. We also enjoyed the paellas, both the squid ink and the seafood. The pans were shallow enough that the rice toasted nicely at the bottom. The pizzas were also good but the crust could have been crisper. The only disappointment was the patatas brava, a tapas staple. The potatoes were cut long, weren't crisped sufficiently, and the sauce tasted too spicy and weird. If they had used the same crusty potatoes as the polpi dish and used a creamier sauce, it would have been more successful. We ordered other dishes but the ones I reviewed stood out. Overall a very pleasant restaurant and most of the selections were well-executed. read more

First and foremost, the service was absolutely exceptional. Daniel was an excellent server, he absolutely made our experience one of the best we've ever had in a very long time. The bartender, Lloyd, along with the manager (sorry, didn't get his name) was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our experience was great. The food was delicious. We ordered the Lili Thai cocktail and Manhattan to start. We then ordered the Taco Pincho De Cerdo and Crostini. Both are our favorites and never disappoint. We then ordered the Gorgonzola pasta and Cacio e Pepe pastas (I crave these regularly). Lastly for dessert we had the Chocolate Cassata cake. The food was delicious and always just the right portions. I always love the environment of this restaurant, it's the best combination of classy and somewhat casual based on what you're celebrating. 10/10 experience, would give it 6 stars if I could. Perfect spot for brunch or a dinner date. The food is always amazing, with a wide variety of small plates to choose from meat, seafood, pizza, spaghetti, and pasta, all paired well with their cocktails. The service is excellent the staff checked on us regularly and made sure everything was great. The ambience is cozy and inviting. Some of the online pictures might be outdated, but we've been here often and always forget to take our own because we're too busy enjoying the experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get never a disappointment. Highly recommend making a reservation. Valet parking is available for dinner and it's definitely worth the visit. read more
