Huge seafood pancake loaded with veggies which

This is a tiny little slit but don't let that fool you into thinking it won't make a big impact on your life!! They have tons of fried chicken options, all are fantastic you can't go wrong. I ordered the seafood pancake for the first time recently and it came out piping hot and loaded with veggies which is my favorite. It was chewy yet crispy, incredible. There is also convenient parking right out front which I miraculously managed to get even on a weekend day!

I know people love KFC. I am not people...I do not like KFC. It's always too sweet. That's why I like this one...it is not sweet. Yes, the sauce on the side is, but the chicken itself has a nice simple flavor and doesn't even need sauce. Hubs drove for lunch...good cuz had construction and trucks and traffic and it's just too much for me sometimes. Called in the order. We got there fast but only waited maybe 5 min. Hubs got the wings plate. Yum. But previously he had green salad and today was mac...we prefer green usually. She didn't ask. If you bring the brochure and show it you can get a free soda with your plate. She didn't ask what he wanted so he got some purple prebiotic drink. I didn't want rice and salad so just got chicken. Comes in 15 or 30 piece I think. I got the "small" size and ate 2 piece with a salad I had from somewhere else. Yum. Take out and still yet stayed crispy. Batter is light and not too overpowering. Not super oily. Probs the only KFC I really enjoy. Obviously not the person to ask about KFC...but I do like fried chicken and it is good fried chicken.

Not just chicken... It's a fact that we love KFC Korean Fried Chicken...we I do but after some decision and E Chicken Ward has been on my list it wasn't for the chicken but they also have traditional Korean food as well that I seriously didn't know they serve as well. Getting there is easy it's right on Kawaiahao Street and they do have dedicated stalls right in front of the restaurant but what's surprising is that there's no one really to greet you as you order your food using the provided kiosk and a ticket prints out. I can hear the kitchen started to prepare my food which was #22 Spicy Beef Soup (yukgaejang) as it's starting to get cooler at nights and it was a rainy day thinking that soup will give me the much needed energy was needed and it was quite affordable at $15.65 inclusive. What I didn't like is that there's no interaction or modification on the kiosk though I'm sure I could've shout it out just that it was all very impersonal getting home the sides was basically your typical local plate lunch of rice, Mac salad and tossed salad nothing Korean about it and the soup not as hot as I hoped (both temperature and heat) loved that it had basically no green onion (strange it's supposed to be more of it) few beef chunks but did love that it was filled with various veggies. I still love to have choices of barchan and would be nice if the soup was pipping hot and zero interaction is a strange vibe. Thanks!

We ordered and expected to wait 10 mins but it came out faster! We order the K-pop boneless chicken. So crispy and tender. This is a mostly take out place... but has some seating in the spa area.

The award location is mostly take out. They have 2 windows where u can put order from. They do have a bench with tables if u prefer to eat there. Area is clean and worker was friendly. I would return to try their other dishes. This place didn't have pizza.

Takeout lunch from Honolulu, Hawaii... A relatively new business, E Chicken Ward is located on Kawaiaha'o Street, close to the Ward Avenue intersection. Pass Aloha Tofu and the Climbing place and it's on the right side of the street when approaching from Ward Avenue. It's challenging to eat an entire order of fried chicken by oneself... so, I got my baby sister to help me! My sister likes chicken wings. I like boneless. That's why I got both. Original flavored wings and boneless Shoyu Honey chicken! We tried both and there were good things about each. Chicken was moist and tender with crispy outer layer! Of course, I liked boneless the best! I would get Shoyu Honey flavor again! I had ordered online, so pickup was quick and smooth with a friendly smile from the guy at the window! I had parked in an unmarked stall (I made my own space). Street parking is rare and all stalls in front of the shop were taken. I just ran over and grabbed my package quickly! =)

Craving chicken, I remembered a post from Nadine C. Thanks Nadine. Located on Kawaihao St,just Diamond Head of Ward avenue. Parking in front, but limited. Basically a grab and go. They have a take out pick up window facing the parking lot. Inside there is a order window and benches for waiting. I ordered the 10 piece Spicy Chicken. The chicken was crisp and flavorful. It wasn't as hot as I expected. My wife had the solf tofu stew. She liked it and I got to try some. I also gave it a thumbs up. I believe that this is a mom and pop venture. Courteous and very friendly. Enjoy

Name change but same great chicken and service. I usually do take out here. The chicken of course are very good - crispy, tender, and great selection of flavors - K pop is my go-to but the other ones are good as well. But the salad is a sleeper. Those of you considering it, give it a try. We'll continue to come back here!

Rice, tossed salad, & macaroni carrot salad comes with tofu soup
    Edie S.

Personally I can only speak about the tofu soup which was SO GOOD. Different than others I've had, but this one had a clam base which made the flavor just delicious. I'm full already but I'm still eating it. Comes with rice, tossed greens, and macaroni carrot salad. Others in my family had the chicken wings and boneless chicken and they were both making yummy noises all the way through. Generous portions: leftovers for tomorrow for everyone. Reasonable prices, easy parking in front. Also, delicious fries and yummy guava lemonade. Hit the spot! Will definitely be returning.

This hit the spot! I was looking for food around the area and this place popped up. I got the K-Chili Spicy Yangnyeom crispy chicken wings, tteokbokki and fries and they gave me a salad too so that was nice! The chicken wings were SO GOOD! Great flavor and they were still crunchy so that was great. They were sauced very well and every part was sauced, thank goodness! Surprisingly, the fries were REALLY good like the way they fried it and whatever it was coated in if anything. I was expecting just regular fries but these were so good! I like tteokbokki and theirs is good! Atmosphere - It's only a take out window so there's no outdoor seating. There are seats if you're waiting but that might be for the massage/spa place next to it. Service - They are friendly and fast! I called them to check if they were open since it was Labor Day and said I would call back with my order. Then they texted me and provided me with the online Clover link to order. SoI ordered online, walked over (5 - 10 minutes) and then it was ready. I added the fries when I got there because I missed it and the fries were worth it! Cost - $42 - $45. I got 10 spicy crispy chicken wings, fries, and tteokbokki. Seems the same as other places. Parking - They share the space with a massage/spa place so there are about 5 spots right in front of the place. If not then street parking which can be a bit hard. But order online and go when ready then you'll be good! Location - It's on Kawaiaha'o parallel to Queen Street, across the street from Hana Koa Brewing. It shares a space with a massage/spa place. I would definitely come here again to get everything I got! SO GOOD!

My husband is in this chicken crave. So since I was going to pick up things at target ala moana he said some yelpers went to this chicken place on Kawaihao street. Came about 10:30am and parking stalls were available in front of their kiosk. They don't have indoor seating but have 1 small table outside either to eat there or wait for your take out order. I ordered the soft tofu stew and my husband ordered the chili spicy chicken wings. My tofu stew was good even though it look red but not that spicy I could handle it. My husband said he's chicken wings was good not to spicy The couple inside maybe is husband and wife. The lady took the orders and take care of money. The man does customer service. Thanking everybody who comes to their shop. Lol... all in all its good. Shout to Nadine for reviewing this place and her pictures

E Chicken Ward did not disappoint. When we arrived, there was no line at all. I think the owners were the ones helping out, and they were super friendly and answered all my questions. My husband and I ordered the chicken wings with fries and guava lemonade. We asked for the honey shoyu and k-bbq yangnyeom sauces on the side. It only took about 15 minutes for our food to come out, and it was hot and fresh. There was a table outside, but we just decided to sit in the car instead. The chicken and fries were cooked to perfection, and the lemonade was just right. We're really glad we made it to E Chicken while visiting Hawai'i. Be sure to check them out!

crispy k-chicken with honey mustard (top) and shoyu garlic (bottom)
    Tiana H.

food - i had a craving for korean fried chicken, so decided to try e chicken, which i've been wanting to try for a while. safe to say it definitely satisfied my cravings. i got the k-cripsy chicken with the honey mustard and shoyu garlic flavors. these had the perfect amount of sauce with a thin, crispy coating, with juicy chicken inside. highly recommend! service - ordered online and the order was ready right at the estimated time. worker (maybe the owner?) was super nice! ambiance - some seats in front but mainly a takeout spot!

Don't be gaslit by employee saying you can only order one sauce

However, after having to abandon our original dinner plans, we were no less intrigued after randomly stumbling across this place. While they may not have been our first choice for dinner, coming here was far more appealing than eating fast food or at the nearby IHOP! Although seeing so many folks at this mini food truck park may have been what caught our attention, it was the boxes of fried chicken on nearly every table that swayed us to try Waikiki Chicken in Paradise in particular. After skimming the menu, it wasn't hard to see why they were such a popular choice - everything on it sounded great. Granted, that's not overly difficult when there are only eight items to choose from, but tough to argue with the likes of fried chicken loco moco, fried chicken curry rice, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken & croffle, and fish & chips! Since we saw how big the portion were and didn't want anything too heavy (read: sadly, no loco moco or Japanese curry), we opted to split a FRIED CHICKEN RICE PLATE ($16.95) which came with a Fried Chicken Cutlet over White Rice with Mac Salad & Green Salad. Funny enough, despite already having a sense of how much food they give, I was still surprised by the generous portion size. As for how it all tasted, this was great. The breading on the chicken reminded me of Popeye's (though, without the spice), the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was rather moist. As for the sides, the mac salad was pretty good, but the salad was a little heavy on dressing. If there was one thing I could change about our order, I think I'd want to see how it would taste with a sauce or glaze. At the very least, I'd definitely go with a different dipping sauce, like their Pineapple Ginger, Lilikoi Mayo, or Guava BBQ, as the Honey Mustard we went with tasted a bit generic. Of course, we could've solved both problems if we had gone with the Fried Chicken Loco Moco or Fried Chicken Curry Rice instead! I guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I'm in Waikiki!

I uploaded this picture into chat gpt with the business explanation of the pinking in poultry and according to AI, "Pinking" can happen in cooked poultry -- but what you're showing in the photo does not look like harmless pinking. Here's the difference in plain language: Harmless "pinking" (still fully cooked) * Happens from smoking, high heat, or certain proteins. * The meat is fully opaque, firm, and cooked through. * Only the outer edge or near the bone looks pinkish. What your picture shows * The meat looks translucent, soft, and raw, especially near the joint. * There are dark, bloodlike areas around the bone. * The texture looks undercooked, not just color-changed from chemical reactions. Even with pinking, cooked chicken never looks glossy or raw in the center the way yours does. I decided not to go back to the counter because there was a language barrier and I felt the woman wasn't listening to me in the first place anyway. Threw pretty much all the food away and left hungry and down $20.
