There's metered street parking in the area. Inside, there's not much air-conditioning. It's basically a takeout place, but there were 3 stools for counter seating. Inside it's kind of junky but I think there focus is carry out so who cares. I'm posting some menu photos because it looks like they recently revamped the pricing structure. My husband is in Hawaii for business right now and has been trying all of the local spots. Yesterday he went to this restaurant for lunch. He said the restaurant was clean and well kept, and was very busy. The staff was nice and his server did a good job. My husband loves spicy food and fried chicken, and he said his meal was a great combination of both! It was a lot of food for only $20! He said he would definitely be back before he leaves Hawaii to try some other stuff on their menu. The Service was excellent. Small and cozy food kiosk in a Korean Grocery Stire. I wish they had another way of keeping the chicken crispy. The garlic chicken was placed in a cardboard takeout box and tied either a plastic bag with holes poked throughout the bag. The food was delicious. But the reason for the low rating, is because it's impossible to place a phone order. You need to go in person, place your order and wait. Street parking is near impossible, so being able to order ahead of time, and run in to pick up your food is crucial. Answer the phone and my review would increase by 3-4 stars. read more

We love this location since it's so close to home. I've only been to this location, so I can't say if it holds up to how all Vons operate. But, from all I know....definitely one of my top 3 spots for when I'm craving or just wanted fried chicken (which to be honest is at least 2x month lol). Located on Pensacola street, we grabbed a spot at one of the metered stalls right outside. It's a cozy place where most people just order by phone or grab and go. There is one small table with 3 stools that you can use if you want to eat there. We usually opt to eat there. Little tip: we found out it is BYOB so we'll sometimes grab a beverage from across the street while we wait and then enjoy our complete meal. Service is quick and friendly, usually about a 15 min wait for our food. We ordered a Full Order (20 pieces) and our flavor choice today was the Snow (cheese & onions) and a side of Honey Butter fries. The chicken comes out piping hot and crispy! With the snow powder that blankets the wings and bottom of the box. So far I've tried their honey butter and snow flavors, but will be back again to try their others. The Von's I usually order from was closed, so I got delivery from this location for the first time. The snow wings were soul-satisfying, as they always have been. It's good to find consistency of quality in different franchise locations. I continue to yearn for just a bit more cheese, though. But then they lost me with the mandoo. There was no option for "no sauce," just "regular," "mild," and " spicy." I didn't want any sauce but selected mild. They took great care to vent the container so the mandoo wouldn't get limp and soggy. Then they completely undermined that effort. Foolish me for assuming the sauce would be on the side. Instead, the mandoo were drenched in this sickly sticky and slightly sweet sauce. My taste buds were not amused. I don't care for them but I won't waste food, either. Now, there are several locations in town, and just as a point of information, the pricing varies from location to location. We go to this location because, between the one in Waikiki, the location in Palama Market off Kalakaua, and this one, the location on Pensacola Street, is the lowest priced. It's one of our favorite items for tailgates. I gave this location 4 stars because parking is a challenge, and sometimes the person who answers the phone when we call in an order sounds like it's a hassle to take the order. With that said, we still love the wings, and honestly, anywhere you go, wings can be pretty pricey. So we have tried several different flavors, but our fav is the crispy shoyu chicken. Now, it is crisp, not your local-style plate lunch shoyu chicken. You've got to try it to understand the difference. It is finger-licking, lip-smacking good! Vons is definitely a nice splurge when we want to treat ourselves with a beer and chicken night. I usually go to the locations in Palama Supermarket after doing some shopping, but this one was on the way home. We got two 10-piece orders (one of shoyu and one seasoned), so twenty pieces total for about $41 in total or at $17.99+tax each. Wallet is not happy, but my tummy is. Expect to pay extra if you want any sides like daikon or rice! Food takes about 15-20 minutes, so calling ahead of time is best. There are a few parking stalls on Pensacola, but I recommend parking at the Walgreens lot since it's right across the street. This location is grab n' go style, but they do have 2-3 stools for people to wait at. Honestly, you could eat there, but I would be uncomfortable because the staff is pretty unprofessional. I stopped by around 5:30pm on Thursday, and two ladies and one of their daughters were sitting in the front of the store on their phones. The child kept running in and out of the kitchen, which seemed very unsafe since frying is very much involved. This made me very uncomfortable, but they ended up leaving soon after so nothing happened. The cashier was very quick to take my order, but also was obviously annoyed that she had to take my order during her break. I made it quick and she went into the kitchen. When she came back out, she was sucking on a lollipop! A lollipop!! I know we all arw guilty of snacking during work, but I've never seen someone so nonchalant about it in food service! She walked around with the lollipop, going in and out of the kitchen, leaning on the counter, holding it while she took someone else's order and continued on. Health inspection season just passed yall, come on! Anyway, my food came out 20 minutes later, and I liked that they leave it half open to vent out without getting soggy. When I got home 15 minutes later, the chicken was still super hot and crispy, but probably because they were not nearly as saucy as it should've been. For the Fried Shoyu chicken, they literally just poured some of the sauce on the chicken in the box and the rest went on the side of the box. I really don't think this was the best representation of this store or company, because it seemed like the owner or manager of the store was not there that day. Vons are usually consistent no matter which location or time of day you go, but I know these are tough times, finding enough good staff and whatnot.
