Crispy, tasty and always hot and fresh. It's been years since we've gotten take out here and I'm happy to see the quality is still there. Inside it's kind of junky but I think there focus is carry out so who cares. I'm posting some menu photos because it looks like they recently revamped the pricing structure. The full order is smaller than before. I got the Crispy Shoyu Hot, I don't remember anything being this hot there before but the heat took me back to my recent trip to Korea so I welcome the flavor. Still if you can't handle heat stick with their mild options which are plenty. Always friendly service so I'll be sure not to let so much time go by between visits

My husband is in Hawaii for business right now and has been trying all of the local spots. Yesterday he went to this restaurant for lunch. He said the restaurant was clean and well kept, and was very busy. The staff was nice and his server did a good job. My husband loves spicy food and fried chicken, and he said his meal was a great combination of both! It was a lot of food for only $20! He said he would definitely be back before he leaves Hawaii to try some other stuff on their menu. If you like spicy food, large portions, and fried chicken, you definitely want to check this place out.

Soy Crispy Fried Garlic--liked the cut up pieces of garlic in it. Chicken was good.

Found this place on Yelp and had solid reviews. Vons is a Korean fried chicken joint that offers takeout. Seating is extremely limited--maybe two or three stools inside. Street parking only--at least that I'm aware of. Fried chicken here wasn't bad I thought. All packed with flavor. We had spicy, soy garlic, and shoyu. Spicy had good heat. Soy garlic had little minced pieces of garlic which added some nice flavor. And shoyu wasn't bad. I'd probably skip shoyu next time. Also had a side of snow fries and IMO that's a skip for takeout. It got soggy too fast in the bag after maybe 15 min. Overall chicken wasn't bad. Cheers.

We love this location since it's so close to home. I've only been to this location, so I can't say if it holds up to how all Vons operate. But, from all I know....definitely one of my top 3 spots for when I'm craving or just wanted fried chicken (which to be honest is at least 2x month lol). Located on Pensacola street, we grabbed a spot at one of the metered stalls right outside. It's a cozy place where most people just order by phone or grab and go. There is one small table with 3 stools that you can use if you want to eat there. We usually opt to eat there. Little tip: we found out it is BYOB so we'll sometimes grab a beverage from across the street while we wait and then enjoy our complete meal. Service is quick and friendly, usually about a 15 min wait for our food. We ordered a Full Order (20 pieces) and our flavor choice today was the Snow (cheese & onions) and a side of Honey Butter fries. The chicken comes out piping hot and crispy! With the snow powder that blankets the wings and bottom of the box. So far I've tried their honey butter and snow flavors, but will be back again to try their others. They also offer half orders, and plates. Always a solid and reliable choice, and one of our favorite fried chicken spots.

Mandoo in a vented container, drenched in sauce. You need to request no sauce or sauce on the side if you don't want this mess.

The Von's I usually order from was closed, so I got delivery from this location for the first time. The snow wings were soul-satisfying, as they always have been. It's good to find consistency of quality in different franchise locations. I continue to yearn for just a bit more cheese, though. But then they lost me with the mandoo. There was no option for "no sauce," just "regular," "mild," and " spicy." I didn't want any sauce but selected mild. They took great care to vent the container so the mandoo wouldn't get limp and soggy. Then they completely undermined that effort. Foolish me for assuming the sauce would be on the side. Instead, the mandoo were drenched in this sickly sticky and slightly sweet sauce. My taste buds were not amused. I don't care for them but I won't waste food, either. Should I order mandoo from here again, I will write in a special request for NO SAUCE.

Service is great and the wings are excellent. Not sure why it took me so long to drop in a Vons chicken. But I'm glad I finally did. This place is small and only two tables for dining in but we as most do ordered to go. The wait was about 15 minutes which you'd expect for freshly seasoned battered fried chicken. We ordered two half orders (10) wings. The Yangnyeom medium crispy fried chicken was very tasty and not as spicy as we like so would get the hot next time. Nice thin crispy exterior. Very succulent and tasty inside. A solid 5/5 The second order was the shoyu crispy chicken which had the same crispy texture but the seasoning was a light mild flavor. Again a 5/5. Definitely a great chicken wing spot. OBTW they were completely slammed and sold out on Super Bowl Sunday. T

Vons Chicken on Pensacola Street. Order ahead for less wait time, and there's limited street parking. Always hot and fresh and deliciously coated with a good amount of coating.

Vons Chicken - When you crave that crispy, crunchy goodness in your life, this place delivers the standard KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) experience you're after. It's usually a quick 15-minute wait from order to pick up, and the satisfaction is guaranteed. Personally, I'm all about the Snow Wing - it's the flavor champion, in my book.

Von's is the closest thing to the takeout Korean-style fried chicken that I have enjoyed in Seoul! Friendly service, great taste!

We went with the Prix Fixe Menu of the 9 courses, for $70 per person. First we were given the banchans. They have A LOT and I love banchans so it was a great start to the meal. I wonder if you could get refills on the banchans like many other KBBQ spots... I didn't get the chance to find out as I was STUFFED by the end of my meal. The steamed egg also came fairly fast, they offered to serve it for us which we took up on that offer. Then we also received the kimchi pancake. Here is what I'd note, I am a bit confused on the portion sizes. As the prix fixe menu is per person, shouldn't the dishes and servings per person? Like why would the kimchi pancake be one and shared between two? As well as the egg? We then got all of the various cuts of the meats. Everything was good and quite enjoyable. We also had a choice between soup (soybean or tofu) and cold noodles (reg or spicy). We both chose the spicy cold noodles. It was very good and a refreshing side to pair with the KBBQ. We were honestly stuffed by the end of our meal and enjoyed it all. Despite my slight concern/confusion regarding the serving/pricing, I would possibly come back. Although I usually go for an AYCE kbbq spot as it is definitely more worth it value wise.

The food was really good, and I would definitely recommend the bossam if you're with a group. The meat is super soft and flavorful, and even the half order was a generous portion. We also ordered the lemon soju and yogurt soju pitchers. They have tablets for you to order the food, which was super convenient. The food comes out pretty quickly, and the service is friendly. The restaurant gives off Korean pub vibes, decently sized, and best suited for smaller groups. We ordered a variety of food: chicken combo, kimbap, bulgogi, bossam, and spicy rice cakes. The food was very delicious. My favorite was the bulgogi because it was tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the spicy rice cakes, but I wish they gave a bigger portion of it.. The chicken was okay, but not something I'd order again. The spicy sauce was drenched all over the chicken and was very spicy. The regular crispy chicken didn't have enough salt for me and was overcooked.

However, since I was in the area, my partner and I decided to give it another shot...and now I'm hooked In fact, I went three times last month. We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience…read more We've been loyal customers and typically eat here twice a week whenever we're on assignment on the island in the last five years. We have also left two previous positive reviews because we've genuinely enjoyed the food and wanted to support this small business. Earlier this week, we ordered the bulgogi for our kids, but the meat was too chewy and tough making it inedible. Wanting to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, we ordered the bulgogi again the following day and even requested it be cooked well done. Unfortunately, it had the same too chewy and tough texture, and again, could not be eaten. After feeding the kids something else, bathing them, and putting them to bed, I called the restaurant around 10:00 p.m., but they had already closed. I called the next day, and the owner (a lady with glasses) returned my call. Instead of listening to my concerns, she repeatedly interrupted me and spoke in a passive-aggressive, dismissive manner. I was on speakerphone with four other adults in the car, and everyone commented on how unhelpful and condescending the conversation felt. I explained that I wasn't calling simply to complain - I wanted to share feedback because we genuinely care about the restaurant and have supported it for a long time. I even mentioned that I had previously provided constructive feedback about the takeout bowls, which the restaurant later improved. Before I could finish, she cut me off and said, "We're not talking about the to-go bowls right now, are we? We're talking about your bulgogi." She insisted that if I wanted a refund, I needed to return to the restaurant in person, and that if something was wrong in the future, I should come back immediately so they could remake it. Unfortunately, that's simply not realistic for us. We're staying in a hotel with two young children, and the restaurant is about 40 minutes away. By the time we discovered the problem, got the kids settled, and called, making another round trip would have meant roughly 80 minutes of additional driving with tired, hungry children. I understand that mistakes happen, and I wasn't expecting perfection. What disappointed me most was how the concern was handled. This business does not value customer feedback and will never first listen respectfully, even from repeat customers who have consistently supported and recommended them. Sadly, based on this experience with both the food quality and the customer service, we won't be returning.
