    KYO-Classic is delicious

Timed it just right. Minimal line and the burgers weren't sold out. Great service and flavorful burgers. The lively food court is in a great space. Yes it's $20 a burger. It's also Wagyu beef. Will return. Free garage parking

    Classic Burger and Fries

Long line...it is worth the wait. Perhaps folks are becoming accustomed to getting things fast but let's remember that this is gourmet wagyu beef, quality ingredients, and a cooking style way different than say, across the street where you can drive thru arches. At Dragon Burger, they carefully sear their wagyu patties to lock in the juices and then steam it to finish at medium rare. $20 price tag...could be worse. Have you seen the cost of Japanese ground wagyu beef in the grocery store? Additionally, you're getting kitchen-prepared Japanese style sauces, not anything from a factory squeeze bottle. More importantly, Dragon Burger is proud of their Kyoto-based special recipe buns. If any of you enjoy Japanese bread, you'll understand and appreciate the buns holding this wagyu burger. For my first experience with Dragon Burger, I went with the classic. Thick and juicy, this wagyu patty was cooked perfectly! The flavors of sweet mustard, sauted onions, and a little miso glaze is a winning combination. Do not forget the fries! Trust me, these are memorable! Exquisite crunchy coating is perfectly seasoned. Incredible taste and texture, totally loved this! Coming back for sure!

Yuzu Kosho and Wasabi with a side of Fried Potato (fries)

I came to meet a friend to catch up and the original spot at Midtown Eats we were craving was no longer there. Both of us decided to give Dragon Burger a try. It's located right next to the bar and entrance close to the parking garage. After a quick look on Yelp to see what to order, we decided to order one Yuzu Kosho and one Wasabi with a side of Fried Potato (fries). It didn't take long for the kitchen to get our orders out. We cut the burgers in half so we could try both flavors. Both were good but I personally liked the Wasabi burger more. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. Make sure to ask for the restroom code to wash your hands after as it is a little messy. I believe this food stall also offers ramen and it looked amazing. We both agreed to come back to give that a try next time. Overall, good burger option in the Keeaumoku area.

Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located at Midtown Eats Food Hall on Keeaumoku Street, I was so excited that Dragon Burger finally opened! It's near the door closest to Sheridan Street, across the way from the bar. Right now, it's in the Soft Opening phase, so there were only two Burger options. I chose the "Not spicy" Yuzu Kosho Burger and added on the KYO Chips - like seasoned French fries. Everything was delicious and beautiful! Check them out - and remember to be patient. I had to remind them about my Coca-Cola. I forgot to ask for napkins... LOL! Parking: free covered spaces in the structure at The Park (condominium complex). Enter from Rycroft Street or Liona Street.

Food: I got the classic burger which comes with toasted buttery bun, wagyu patty, american cheese, onion miso, green onion, mustard, takana and got a side of seasoned fries. This burger is an umami bomb of flavor. When you eat it with the seasoned fries it feels like you're eating a ramen flavored burger. Next time I wanna try their most popular yuzu burger. Service: I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it just opened, but it took really long to get my order. The one cook only seems to put 4 patties on the grill at a time even though there was a long line. Also, the guy taking orders will take a few orders then go help prep the orders. Maybe eventually they will implement kiosk to electronically take orders. Ambiance: i like the idea of having this food hall with lots of seating. There's also outdoor seating so we could sit with our dog. Price: this burger is definitely pricey, but its also very unique and flavorful. I wouldn't come here all the time, but once in a while is definitely worth it.

Unique burger flavors! Made at the same place as Bonbori ramen (Michelin-chef-made ramen place). Food - 3/5 We got the wasabi burger, and the flavor was really good! However, it was a little oily and the protein was a bit small for the price. The fries are average. Service - 5/5 They were super busy but service was friendly! Ambiance - 4/5 Inside Midtown so lots of seating. We got there right when they opened and there was already a decent line. From the time of getting in line until eating our food, it was around 30 - 45 min.

    Three types of burgers.

This is a great burger place. Loved the food, location and service. Only thing that would stop me from returning would be the price. $20 / burger. It's a brand new shop and so felt very lucky to be one of the first to get to review. They have three different type of burgers for us to try. Yuzu is the most popular according to the guy at the counter. Has a slight spice to it with a lot of seasoning. The burger is pretty light and not heavy though with fries it's satisfying. The shiso is topped with green shiso leaf and has a red spicy sauce. Did not try this but tempted. The wasabi has a wasabi based sauce. It was not sushi wasabi hot but had slight wasabi flavor. Good. We were hungry so we inhaled the burgers. Fries were medium size with slight chili sprinkles and we ketchup. Took a bit time for them to make the burgers. We ordered 5 and waited about 10 minutes. There are lots of table space. It's right next to the Park Bar so you could grab a drink with the burger too. Lots of food places in this place so I'm guessing we will be back. The guy that took our order was very friendly. Street parking was free after 5:30 on Ke'eaumoku. I think there is also parking in the apartment complex as there is an escalator that looks like it leads to the parking lot. I'd say I liked this better than teddy's but the price is the hard part to make this a routine stop. Burgers were not huge so needed the fries to help fill us up.

Dragon Burger has a line that tavels to the end of the K-Park Bar. Some were in the line for ramen or ramen and burgers, like myself. I requested a Yuzu Kosho Burger - which comes with a yuzu mayo and sweet chili sauce. It had an acidic brightness and sweet, tang to the wagyu burger. Excellent. Also, all three burger offered during lunch service is now $20; the other two burgers are , Wasabi and Shiso Flame. Hours are 1100a to 800p daily.

Shiso flame burger, wasabi burger and 2 kyo chips

Burgers were amazing, very rich and well seasoned wagyu patties. You can tell the meat is very high quality. It was cooked perfectly and had a nice crisp to it, in between a regular burger and a smashed burger. The additions to both burgers all went well together. The shiso flame has a nice heat to it without being overpowering. The wasabi was nicely balanced but every once in awhile it kicks you in the nose which I enjoyed. The Kyo chips are also really tasty and well seasoned. Even tho there was a line when we went, the staff managed it well and got thru everyone in good time. I really appreciated that they didn't overwhelm themselves and take too many orders at one time just to clear the line. They took 3 orders at one time, then focused on finishing those before taking more. This allowed them to to give each order the attention to detail it needed so every burger came out perfect.

She made us feel genuinely welcomed, took great care of us throughout our meal, and was quick, attentive, and friendly the entire time. Her excellent service made an already enjoyable visit even better. The food was fantastic. The burger was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly, while the fries were extra crispy with a delicious garlic flavor that really stood out. Since it's an open-air restaurant, it was a little warm dining at around 1:00 p.m., but that was the only minor downside. Overall, everything was lovely, and Christine's outstanding hospitality made the experience memorable. I would definitely come back!

Wife and I ordered two sandwiches, a Cubano and a Hot Honey Old Bay Fried Chicken. I preferred the Cubano, the chorizo is a nice touch but all the hallmarks are there (mortadella and the peppers were my fave). Solid 8.5/10. The fried chicken sandwich was good, but we mainly got it to try the Old Bay seasoning. Wasn't too hot, 8/10 Earl Fries were good, the pickles were a nice touch although it did make certain spots on the fries a little soft due to liquid (we brought the food home). 8.0 Spicy Pickles were the weakest link for me, and I misread--I thought it was fried pickles. 6.5/10, although I can see them adding to certain sandwiches as a topping. I grew up on the east coast and that sure did not taste like an east coast chicken cheesesteak. The sandwich wasn't put together properly, so everything kept falling out while I was trying to eat it. The grilled peppers were barely even cut up, some were basically huge slices or half a pepper instead of being chopped into pieces that actually fit in a sandwich. On top of that, there was so much grease or butter that it soaked completely through the bread and turned it into a mushy mess. Between the soggy bread, oversized peppers, and filling constantly falling everywhere, it was almost impossible to eat. I got so frustrated that I eventually wrapped the sandwich back up, threw it in the trash and walked out. I ended up walking over to Moku happy hour instead, where I had an appetizer a full meal, and dessert for only about $2 more than this one sandwich cost me. That really put the price and quality into perspective. Definitely not worth it and I won't be ordering this again. Should have asked for my money back!

I'm not going to lie, the wait time for the food is extremely long for just burgers and fries--took more than 30 minutes--but please keep in mind this is a small business. I think there were only 2 or 3 people working, an auntie, uncle, and a younger guy who I believe was cooking. The food looked so beautiful but everything was too salty and the patties were way too charred, which I'm hoping was a one off thing.
