    Chicken Katsu - Regular Size
    Tonya A.

I love, love, love chicken katsu, so naturally I was very excited to try Oh My Grill. It's one of those comfort foods I almost always look forward to ordering -- crispy, golden, and satisfying. Unfortunately, this visit didn't quite go as planned for me. One important thing to know: they fry everything in the same oil. As someone with a shrimp allergy, that makes it unsafe for me to eat anything fried here -- including chicken katsu or even something as simple as French fries. I completely understand that it's not the restaurant's responsibility to cater to every allergy, but it was still disappointing to realize I couldn't have the dish I came in excited for. So instead, I ordered the lau lau plate. I genuinely enjoy lau lau, even though I'm not the biggest fan of the leafy outer portion. The flavor of the meat is usually the highlight -- rich, savory, and tender from slow cooking. Unfortunately, the meat in this lau lau was noticeably dry. Traditionally, you'll find chunks of pork fat mixed in, which help keep the meat moist and flavorful. I know some people don't love the fat, but it's part of what makes lau lau so satisfying -- and in this case, there just wasn't enough of it to balance the dish. That said, the portion size was generous, and the sides were consistent with a typical local-style plate lunch. The rest of our table had a better experience. My friend ordered the chicken katsu to share with her two young kids, and they all seemed to really enjoy it -- and still had leftovers, which says a lot about the portion size. Another friend ordered the beef curry plate, and she finished every bite, which is usually a good sign that it hit the spot. One unexpected part of the experience was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was very cold -- all of us at the table were noticeably uncomfortable. We even asked if the temperature could be adjusted because we were freezing. It never quite warmed up, and I ended up ordering hot water just to stay comfortable. On the positive side, the service was genuinely good. Our server was attentive, we didn't have to wait long for anything, and the staff overall were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. Overall, this was a mixed experience. The restaurant offers generous portions, friendly service, and food that others in my group clearly enjoyed. For me personally, though, the shared fryer oil limiting my options, the dryness of the lau lau, and the very cold dining environment made this a place I'm unlikely to return to. If you don't have food allergies and are looking for filling local-style plate lunches, this could still be a solid option. It just wasn't the right fit for me.

It's the first time eating their hamburger steak plate. What caught my attention on their menu..it reads "homemade patty".. i am always up for a homemade burger! It is so delicious I will likely try their cheeseburger next visit!

This place was so good we came back twice. A very short drive from the shore, this place is perfect to sit down for a quick breakfast or grab a plate lunch for a road trip. Parking is plentiful and it's right next to a 7/11 :) Service is great! Best kalua pig and loco moco I've ever had. Huge portions and great value. Highly recommend!

Wow I am so happy Such so much I'm really impressed They are open late as well So high on this place right now They have to use rubber bands to make sure the lid stays closed, cause they fill way more then anywhere else

Single party Cheeseburger ($4.50). Good size, seasoned well! Nice crisp edges and moist meat. Doesn't come with veg.

OMG, time has flown, as it's 2026! How fitting to also have OMG (Oh my Grill, that is lol) as my first review of the new year! Let's get into it: I've been here twice. Had the cheeseburger ($4.50 -- lettuce, tomato, and onion are 50 cents extra, each). The homemade patty is good: soft inside with crispy edges and nice flavor. It reminds me of old drive-inn burgers where the patty is mixed with bread, not just straight meat. It's a large, filling burger on a sesame bun. Seems like they steam it, but it's not soggy. Also tried the beef stew bowl ($11). It's more local-style with a tomato base rather than a darker beefy one. Large cuts of vegetables and meat, though the rice-to-stew ratio felt a little off (too much rice imo). They have a lot of good deals on local-style plate lunches: $10.99 chicken katsu, $8.99 hamburger meal (plain hamburger with fries and a drink--perfect for fussy eaters). Both times I went they were busy, and the people were helpful. It looks like you can eat in -- there are some tables and a host-style station when you walk in. It's clean and bright. They also have online ordering through their own platform, and the prices are the same. They're open really late too (midnight, I think). Overall, a good spot if you want a hefty local meal that satisfies both kids and adults at a good price.

Affordable price for a quality plate lunch. The chicken katsu special often a go-to for last minute lunch or dinner. It's $10.99 and usually last two meals. We often get it with brown rice which is $1 extra. We also tried the loco moco and it came with two large hamburger patties with a good thickness and cooked medium rare just right. A little salty but tasty.

Parking is plentiful and easy to find. Tables are good for medium sized groups though you tables may need to be combined. Oh my pac (5/5): so delicious. The chicken and shrimp were both so crispy. The beef was so tender and flavorful. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Oh My Grill is a great spot. Food is delicious and service isn't bad. It seemed like there was just one staff working the front.

I remember eating here years ago but didn't see that I reviewed them. Maybe this was one of my many drafts that I ended up deleting? Either way, I recently came back to order take out for a quick meal. I couldn't recall if they were good or not so why not give them another try and review them, right? Oh My Grill is located on the ground floor near 7-11 in McCully Shopping Center. They offer dine in and take out. It's a clean and well lit restaurant. If you order take out, there is a POS system right by the door and they have their take out orders there. I went to the POS system and staff by the menu board inside since no one was working at the take out area and all the workers were there talking to each other. They pointed to that area implying I should go there to pay and get my order. It was somewhat helpful but not the best customer service experience. They have utensils and napkins also by the door for take out. I ordered their Chicken Fried Noodle and BBQ Mixed Plate (all rice). Portions are generous and the food was still hot when I got back to eat a quick lunch. The fried noodles were better than expected but the BBQ Mixed Plate was ok. I personally found the meat to be salty and I wasn't a fan of their dry rice. The Chicken Fried Noodle is something I can see myself ordering again. Glad I came back so I could finally review them.

Found this place on DoorDash I was a little bit iffy at first. But it's so flavorful. Everything was packed nicely. The chicken Katsu was the right amount of crispy. I should've asked for double macaroni salad because it was great. And that pineapple smoothie hit the spot.

Recently, I have ordered a take out via Doordash since they are back to an in town location that can reach my house easily. Their menu is extensive and many options are quite good. They have great portions and are good value overall. I would even say that I enjoy Oh my Grill more than L&L or Rainbow Drive In. BBQ Pork & Mochiko Chicken Combo: 8/10. Personally, I liked this combo. The pork was a little tough to cut but had a good flavor. The chicken was quite good and both were a generous serving with 2 scoops of rice and Mac salad. Kalbi & BBQ Pork: 7/10. I did not get to try the Kalbi personally, but my guest stated that while it was nice and meaty, the flavor isn't as good as a traditional Korean location. They also said that their Pork was a little tough but had good flavor. They rated this dish a 7/10. While, this may be my first review for this location and as a take out- I like this venue and will be going to eat in the restaurant whenever I get the chance. Support and eat local!

Late lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... My friend's car was done at the shop, but she wasn't ready to go home yet... LOL! I suggest that we get a bite to eat at Oh My Grill - the McCully Shopping Center location. She agreed! Located on the ground level, near 7-Eleven, Oh My Grill has been around for a while. I believe that they closed for a bit for renovations. It looked clean and bright to me! Service was friendly and efficient! We got seated right away and ordered. My friend got Mochiko Chicken - it was a very large portion! She took most of it home! I got the Beef Stew Bowl... i enjoyed the comfort food, especially the gravy and rice! I didn't care for the clumps of fat. However, the beef was tender and tasty! I would return because this location is very convenient and free parking is plentiful. The spaces are a bit narrow on the ground level, but there's a lower level parking that seems better. Enter from Pumehana Street! Catch the elevator up!

Oh my grill. Mccully shopping center location. Just reopened. Located near Curry house and 711 on first floor. There are additional parking in basement. Parking can be challenging on first floor. Ordered: Chicken katsu plate special, $9.99 (Includes rice and macaroni salad) Garlic fish plate, $14.95 (Includes rice and macaroni salad) Fish and chips, $11.95 (2 pieces fried fish, good) (Fries were overcooked, dry) Prices are good, portion are big. If you pay cash you save 3%, also there is a stamp card for cash paying. One stamp for each $10 cash purchase. Mccully location is having their grand opening soon. Highly recommend.

Do they make wonton soup? I am craving it so bad I thought for sure it would be on their menu

Go to Golden Duck for that!

I would like to have catchup and mustard on my hamburger rather than a mystery sauce with mayonnaise can you just have catchup and mustard on a hamburger?

Yes, they should be able to do that for you just have to ask when you order. They are awesome so I would think it should be no problem.

The Dubai coco puff had a strong pistachio crunchy flavor but I thought it was way too sweet for me personally. The Star of the show are the green tea cream puffs! I would come back to just order that! The top filling tasted like a thick creamy brown butter green tea-flavored icing. The filling inside doesn't taste like brown butter and less thick but still really good. Overall, they had really good food and items from the bakery. Highly recommend the infamous green tea cream and chicken karaage dish! Customer service was quick and professional though I felt like our server wasn't that friendly lol. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of seating.

We walk in at 9:30. Wait at the host stand and watch workers look at us and quickly turn to look the other way. This happened with four workers. I walk up to a server putting in and order and say 'table for two please' she looks around and back at another workers and says 'sorry we close at 9:30' to which I quickly say 'I thought you close at 10?' And she goes 'the bakery closes at 10' As we're talking every single worker hurriedly walks away avoiding eye contact. So I said again 'the time on the door says 10pm' her response was 'oh no that's wrong only the bakery is open till 10' Next day I go back at 9pm. First thing I ask the sever 'what time do you close?' Lo and behold '10pm' Again I never make it a habit but we would have been out of there before the other tabes were done eating. Long day at work and I just needed fuel.

I'd never been to their other locations, so this was my first experience -- and honestly, it left an impression. That spot in Kapolei has seen a few restaurants come and go over the years. Before Scratch Kitchen, there was Sugar Cane, and if I reach far enough back, I'm pretty sure a Mexican restaurant lived there too. It's one of those spaces where you hope the next place finally sticks. But the food at Scratch Kitchen? Absolutely delicious. The kind of meal where the pictures alone make your mouth water. If "smell‑a‑vision" or "lick‑your‑screen" technology existed, everyone would understand exactly what I mean. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully done, and perfect for a Mother's Day treat. Which is why I can't help but wonder what happened -- like so many restaurants before them in that same location. With food that good, you'd hope they'd be the ones to break the cycle. All in all, I'm grateful I got to enjoy that meal with my daughter. It was memorable, delicious, and one of those small moments you hold onto. Marie

Either way, it made for a super relaxed experience with no wait and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the food. Loved: The street tacos with the tempura shrimp were easily the star of the meal. 100% worth it. Light, crispy shrimp with a flavorful slaw and just the right amount of heat--basically a flavor party in every bite. The burger was another quiet star. Juicy patties, nicely seasoned, and stacked just right. Nothing super flashy, but really satisfying. Definitely a good pick if you're not in the mood for brunchy stuff. The Miss: Tried the French toast and... meh. It looked great on the plate but tasted dry and definitely didn't live up to the level of the other dishes. Might've just been an off day or a matter of personal taste, but I'd skip it next time.

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.

We had leftovers for breakfast the next day! - For appetizers we got: Ulu Tots, Japanese Eggplant, and Corn Beignets. The Corn Beignets was the best. - For entree we got: Tomato Miso Black Cod and the Short Rib. Both were delicious and worth a try. Sad to see that this restaurant appears to be closing.
