We had some leftover food, bought some chicken, now it's good enough for dinner. Boneless tasty chicken morsels... black pepper flavour quite spicy. Took awhile, waited about 15-20min. after ordering.

Hubs loves his fried chicken so he wanted to give this place a try. Placed an order for their most popular flavor wings - honey garlic. Took a while for our wings to be ready, but upside is they were crispy and hot. Must say, these were good wings. Loved the flavor. Hubs wants to return to try other flavors. (Note - they have a list of allergens posted next to the register. Practically all the wings were noted as containing nuts. Good thing kiddo saw it as the kiddos are allergic.)

My Partner and I was really craving some good Korean fried chicken and was debating between Vons or this spot. We have tried their place in Kahala before so we decide to try it out again especially as this location opened more recently. They have seating inside and outside of the establishment. It is mainly self service, as you order at the counter and grab your own seated, once the food is ready you grab it at the counter (although they did bring it over to us as we were siting right by the register). We ordered the full size with half cheesling & half spicy galbi and the cheesy rose tteokkbokki. It took a minute but the chicken came out pipping hot so no complaints from me! The tteokkbokki didn't come out as fresh/hot as the chicken, but I understand that they likely premade it to a certain extent. I would say that they aren't the biggest or meatiest pieces of drums or wings but the chicken was crispy and juicy which made up for it. Both the cheesling and the spicy galbi was quite sweet, which felt a bit sickening towards the end of it. I really did like a cheesling, but I've had their hot spicy before and I think I would go with that alternatively next time over the spicy galbi. The tteokkbokki was very good, I enjoyed it quite a lot as a nice pairing to the crispy chicken. I wish there was a bit more sauce, as towards the end, the tteokkbokki was getting a bit dry and almost flavorless. I would recommend BBQ chicken and pairing an order of their crispy fried chicken along with their chewy cheesy tteokkbokki. I am looking forward to coming back.

Delicious! Crispy and sweet! I got the honey garlic chicken plate... it took almost 20 minutes to make but it was worth the wait! Chicken was sooooo good! Hot and fresh!

The outside. The inside has a couple of tables and there are several tables outside.

If you looking for some crispy Korean fried chicken, I highly recommend bb.q chicken in Waikīkī, just around the corner from the International Market. For me the chicken has to have the crunch and they did not disappoint. Plus, the people there are super friendly.

Absolutely amazing Korean fried chicken in the heart of Waikiki! bb.q Chicken Waikiki completely exceeded my expectations. The chicken is unbelievably crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. We tried several sauces--Golden Original, Secret Spicy, and Honey Garlic--and each one was incredible in its own way. The Secret Spicy had the perfect kick without being overwhelming, while the Honey Garlic was sweet, savory, and addicting. Service was fast and super friendly, and the restaurant was clean with a fun, casual vibe--perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed dinner after the beach. If you're craving Korean fried chicken while in Waikiki, this spot is a must. We'll definitely be coming back before we leave the island!

However, after having to abandon our original dinner plans, we were no less intrigued after randomly stumbling across this place. While they may not have been our first choice for dinner, coming here was far more appealing than eating fast food or at the nearby IHOP! Although seeing so many folks at this mini food truck park may have been what caught our attention, it was the boxes of fried chicken on nearly every table that swayed us to try Waikiki Chicken in Paradise in particular. After skimming the menu, it wasn't hard to see why they were such a popular choice - everything on it sounded great. Granted, that's not overly difficult when there are only eight items to choose from, but tough to argue with the likes of fried chicken loco moco, fried chicken curry rice, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken & croffle, and fish & chips! Since we saw how big the portion were and didn't want anything too heavy (read: sadly, no loco moco or Japanese curry), we opted to split a FRIED CHICKEN RICE PLATE ($16.95) which came with a Fried Chicken Cutlet over White Rice with Mac Salad & Green Salad. Funny enough, despite already having a sense of how much food they give, I was still surprised by the generous portion size. As for how it all tasted, this was great. The breading on the chicken reminded me of Popeye's (though, without the spice), the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was rather moist. As for the sides, the mac salad was pretty good, but the salad was a little heavy on dressing. If there was one thing I could change about our order, I think I'd want to see how it would taste with a sauce or glaze. At the very least, I'd definitely go with a different dipping sauce, like their Pineapple Ginger, Lilikoi Mayo, or Guava BBQ, as the Honey Mustard we went with tasted a bit generic. Of course, we could've solved both problems if we had gone with the Fried Chicken Loco Moco or Fried Chicken Curry Rice instead! I guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I'm in Waikiki!

Be sure to call ahead, it usually takes ~30 min per order if you call. Takeout only. Service is very polite. Parking is tough because of the area but there are a few spots out front, would generally recommend calling ahead so parking is less stressful. Their menu was a little confusing to me so here is some explanation: K pop chicken- boneless chicken pieces K chicken wings- flats and drumettes (the two parts of a larger chicken wing) K chicken tenders- boneless tenders only K crispy chicken- full wings, thighs, and breast pieces They offer each of these items as a plate lunch too, with a smaller portion of chicken that comes with rice and salad. I personally like the K chicken wings for the variety and higher meat to skin ratio but my husband really likes the K chicken wings. The skin is shatteringly crispy and flavorful and the meat is juicy. Their honey shoyu sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. You can also request the sauce on the side. I've also had the fried rice which was decent and generously portioned. We once had a complimentary house salad given to us which was unexpected kindness. Overall they do a great job serving up a delicious craveable food that keeps us coming back!

They actually cut in half 5 pieces of the Chicken Backs and each 1/2 counted as a piece of overcooked chicken jerky! I also got a 1/3 of a breast section with bones and not even a 1/2 of a thigh. That totals my 10 pieces. More bones and excess crispy flour then consumable meat. NOBODY gives a Chicken back (or 1/2 a back)! Not Popeyes, not KFC or Zippy's who will remain my Favorite because I will only get ripped off the 1st time, never again. Additionally, they make you buy the sauce, the reason is due to no seasoning on the over floured bread...but it IS Crispy! The Chicken tenders were overcooked and REALLY Chewy around the edges. Just a LOT of breaded Crispy with no flavor, what "Chef" doesn't even use salt? Really, if you're going to risk testing this food, PAY for some sauce! I hope the Owner reads this and realizes that ripping people off by selling broken pieces that most Chef's throw away because they have so little meat on them, isn't going to keep him in business. The profit margin may be up while folks are trying it, spending their hard earn $$$'s, yet not coming back will be the ultimate demise of this business as many other have come and gone doing the exact same thing, not putting themselves in he patron's position. Ask yourself this: When was the last time you saw a bowl of whole chicken pieces and immediately grabbed one that was back bone chopped in half?

When you're always on the hunt for great fried chicken, you can't really pass up a place literally called "Good Chicken" and they definitely lived up to the name! The establishment is cute and cozy with tables available for dine-in. As soon as we walked up, we were kindly greeted and a table was set up for us immediately. After getting settled into our hotel, we were starving, and everything on the menu looked incredible. We ended up ordering the Garlic Chili and the Honey Shoyu chicken. It was exactly what you want when you're craving KFC. The sauces were spot on, chicken had a perfect crunch in every bite and the meat was incredibly tender. To make our dinner feel like a complete, we also added a few other items to the table. We had the pork mandoo and loved that it was clearly homemade, you could really taste the difference. Those extra sides were the perfect finishing touch to the feast. To be honest, if it weren't for this staycation, we probably wouldn't have headed into this part of Waikiki, but I'm so glad we did. Next time we stay in the area, this will definitely be on our list of places to repeat. If you are in the Waikiki area and looking for delicious Korean Fried Chicken (and a Kama'aina discount!), look no further.

I uploaded this picture into chat gpt with the business explanation of the pinking in poultry and according to AI, "Pinking" can happen in cooked poultry -- but what you're showing in the photo does not look like harmless pinking. Here's the difference in plain language: Harmless "pinking" (still fully cooked) * Happens from smoking, high heat, or certain proteins. * The meat is fully opaque, firm, and cooked through. * Only the outer edge or near the bone looks pinkish. What your picture shows * The meat looks translucent, soft, and raw, especially near the joint. * There are dark, bloodlike areas around the bone. * The texture looks undercooked, not just color-changed from chemical reactions. Even with pinking, cooked chicken never looks glossy or raw in the center the way yours does. I decided not to go back to the counter because there was a language barrier and I felt the woman wasn't listening to me in the first place anyway. Threw pretty much all the food away and left hungry and down $20.
