    50. Drunkard's Noodles (Pad Ki Mao)

Not a bad option for Thai food! Siam Square is located in Waikiki along Lewers and Kuhio Ave, and the restaurant is situated on the 2nd floor of a plaza, right next to the bar Bacchus. Although the restaurant appears small on the outside, it actually is quite spacious with plenty of tables -- we were able to get seating for two immediately on a Thursday night. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, which I appreciated. I got the pad kee mao and tom yum soup. I enjoyed both of them! The pad kee mao, even at its lowest spice level of medium, was pretty spicy (as the menu warned), but was generally balanced with a nice sweetness. The tom yum soup was really flavorful, though I wish they strained some of the spices (e.g. star anise) out of the soup prior to serving. If you're craving Thai food and are in the area, Siam Square is a good option!

Blink and you will miss, upstairs from a ABC Store on the corner. The staff was welcoming and quick to help take your order but not hover. The menu is large, so you should be able to find something you like. Nice and bright inside and plenty of seating with music in the background to help drown out conversations as you are sitting close to other ppl. Plenty of room for a large party. The heat levels are mild to spicy and of course no spice. I asked for the spicy and waitress asked "are you sure". Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai (which came out quickly). I did not realize tofu came with the dish, so half of the protein in the picture is tofu. The dish was ok, the spicy level of heat was not overwhelming. Overall dish was ok, plenty of sauce so the noodles were not clumped together or dry. I will not have this dish again, but I will be back to try the curry. I do recommend trying this place out.

We caught ourselves watching the fireworks in Waikiki and the family was craving Thai food. My brother-in-law recommended this spot so we made the trek. Fortunately, they seated us quickly and were very attentive to us. As always, I grabbed their Pa Nang Curry which was delicious, with a side of sticky rice. We shared plates of pad Thai and other appetizers. This was the first time I tried Thailand's Singha beer which paired nicely with the spicy food. We were all comfortable and were satisfied with our food. Unfortunately, the bathroom was shared with neighboring businesses and it was not well-maintained. The male toilet was clogged and smelled of urine. As a father to two young girls, a clean and sanitary bathroom is a necessity, even it's just to wash their hands. Nonetheless, 10/10 recommend.

It's drenching rain and wet. I ordered fried fish patties and it tastes alright with well balanced ingredients but little soaked with oil (vegetables oil?). Papaya salad is typical and goes well with Singha beer but not good as I expected. Red curry tastes great with brown rice as I expected for typical Thai curry overseas. The Pad Thai was disappointing because the noodles didn't meet my expectation. Service was fast and friendly as I expected from Asian culture. There's a 3% surgery charge if pay with debit or credit card.

I eat here at least once a week. The drunken noodles are amazing and they have the best panang curry. Their masala curry is bomb too, but on the sweeter more cinnamony side. I like their pineapple curry too but the panang is just too good to pass up. If you want a soup, their tom kah has so much flavor. I usually don't like ordering fried rice, but I've ordered all the fried rice dishes here because it tastes so good, and the basil is my favorite. The dishes are so colorful with the freshest veggies that are always cooked so perfectly. I will say their pad thai is not the best. I would also skip the fried calamari. If you want apps, get the egg rolls! Siam is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is so kind and the restaurant inside is so cute and cozy. You'll definitely find your comfort meal here.

I wish my experience here matched that of others. Hopefiully, my visit was just a one off - because the shrimp fried rice had shrimps that were not fully cooked. The fried rice itself was fragrant and tasty, but the majority of the shrimps were undercooked. The shrimps might have needed one more crucial minute to get them white/pink. When it comes to pad thai, I enjoy mine to be less wet. I like to have my noodles not 'goop' together. The flavor was a little sweeter than I'm used to and it needed more crushed peanuts to balance it out. The papaya salad and fish cakes were the stars and even liked combining the two. The papaya was fresh, crunchy, tangy. The fish cakes were a bit oily, but tender and tasty. Overall, everything was ok. The staff are really nice and the dining room has a lot of natural light with a view of the bustling street below. I would give Siam Square another chance when I have the opportunity.

I absolutely love their Pad Thai with fried tofu it's always full of rich, delicious flavor! My son couldn't get enough of the fried chicken with sticky rice, perfectly crispy and so satisfying. And of course, we had to finish with mango and sweet sticky rice in coconut milk sauce. It usually comes with ground peanuts, but I prefer mine without. Even though it's not mango season (so the mango wasn't super sweet), the sticky rice and coconut sauce totally made up for it still so yummy and comforting! The service was great there were about three servers and maybe one or two food runners, so everything came out quickly and smoothly. Everyone was kind and attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The ambience was warm, cozy, and welcoming a lovely little spot tucked away on the second floor. Parking can be tricky if you're new to the area, but I recommend the public parking lot at 2120 Lauula St, Honolulu, HI 96815 It's just across the street and super convenient. Overall, this place is such a gem for affordable, flavorful Thai food in Waikiki. We really enjoyed our meal, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Service is good and fast . Ordered a red curry and beef salad . Curry flavor is ok not memorable . Beef salad is ok . Beef a bit too hard and slice too thick . Overall it's ok . Credit card payment add 3% fees wasn't advise when paying I would have pay cash .

I've walked past this eatery many times and it's always crowded, so my daughter who is vegan decided to try. Up the winding staircase we went into a charming decor and greeted with warm smiles from all. It wasn't crowded tonight so we were seated right away. My daughter ordered Fries rice but for the protein she requested tofu, no problem, oh but it was. The rice was bland, no scallions, not much egg and the tofu plain. The egg rolls were the star of the night, crispy and the dipping sauce was crazy delicious with peanuts sprinkles The yellow curry was also delicious with potatoes, onions and carrots, spices just right. Perhaps vegans should stay away

My family and I stopped by this little hidden gem as we were just settling from a long flight in. When we walked in we were greeted by the host and the decor showed this was going to be an authentic Thai restaurant. Our server was very kind and our food came out in a timely manner. The best item from the menu was their fried chicken! It was very very crispy and we have never had fried chicken that remains crispy during dine in and when we packed leftovers to go. It was so good we ordered it again the next day to go. I recommend stopping by if you are craving Asian food.

    Delicious Tom yum!

Delicious Thai food in Waikiki. Located upstairs next to a gay bar. You have to go up the stairs and the place is tight so it doesn't seem to be wheelchair friendly. They can be pretty busy on the weekends. Good to call ahead to reserve a table if you can. There were people waiting outside for a table when we left around 8:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant is pretty small. Must order their Tom yum soup with great balanced flavor - savory, sweet, sour, spicy, salty... we also enjoyed their larb and seafood fried rice. The pad Thai was decent but not the best. We wouldn't order their pork satay again. Even though the satay sauce was delish, the pork was dry and rough. If you're in Waikiki and craving some Thai food, a very decent spot to get your Thai fix!

Food is sooo delicious. This one is the drunken noodles number 53. Yummy

I love the vibe here. Really amazing staff who are attentive. The restaurant is on the second floor and parking is street parking. We ordered pad Thai to share and it was mid. Nothing amazing, something to eat if you are hungry.

Their restaurant is so cool tho. Upon walking in, you sign in if needed, wait to be seated. As you walk in, there's a pretty decor, I would say photo opp, but there's a table and stuff blocking. They should clear that area, so people can take pictures with it lol but when you get seated, you walk through, and they take you to the back for outdoor seating. There is no indoor seating. They have the commercial tents, and pretty outdoor decor out there too, like lights and stuff. And there's a koi pond. Bathroom is back there. The only sucky part is if it was to rain hard or have strong winds, I wonder how they deal with that. But make sure you go when it's nice weather. It's BYOB!! They have a good amount of seating too. Our go to for Olay's is the Lao style papaya salad. We eat it with chicharon, and I think they have option to order a side chicharon, but we were prepared and went store before heading over to buy bag chicharon and they allowed it for us instead of spending the same amount for a handful, you get more when you BYOBC - bring your own bag chicharon lol I just made that up. If it's BYOB, I'm sure they'll allow it. We eat that with sticky rice. Omg so bomb. I like to get the stuffed chicken wings, we ordered the calamari. Was good. We got yellow chicken curry. The wife wanted to try the beef jerky, she likes it. We take the sticky rice and roll it in to a ball, and dip it in the bagooong papaya salad sauce and even the curry. Eat it with the papaya salad and stuffed chicken!! Omg so good! One thing I forgot to mention, they are located in the heart of Chinatown, on hotel street, so you gotta find parking. Street parking or pay for public parking. Would we come here again, definitely! 10/10 recommend. Check out Olay's for your Lao food fix!

The beef was tender, and the heat level was just right (spicy but still balanced). So good over rice. The chicken panang curry was rich, creamy, and comforting. This, however, will probably be my first and last visit. The place is cute enough, with a large back garden area where I chose to dine. Service was also great. I appreciate the little button at the table that I could click for service. The food, however, was mediocre at best. My friend and I ordered the pad Thai with tofu, ginger chicken, chicken satay, and pork larb. The pad Thai was the best dish, but it was very tomatoey, which I did not expect. The chicken with ginger had very little chicken. It was mostly julienned vegetables, including celery which I do not care for. The chicken satay was kinda dry and most certainly needed the peanut sauce to make it palatable. The larb was very dry with very bland flavor, served on one lettuce leaf and a wedge of cabbage. How am I supposed to eat that? All of it was quite disappointing, especially for the price point. As I was eating this meal I remembered the Thai food truck at the end of Ward, where Fisherman's Pier used to be. Now THAT was some good Thai food. I guess that was the best thing about this meal-remembering where I could get really good Thai food-so that the next time I'm having a craving, I can go back over there...I hope it's still there.

Need to include vegetables in our meal so ordered Pork Ong Choi. The Ong Choi was a little crunchy not soft/soggy and not sure what kind of seasoning but it was delicious.

As some reviews indicate, we have noticed that sometimes we get a "what-in-the-world" experience with a few food orders: the lack in flavor, tenderness of protein and even customer service. However, when taking my overall experience, I wish I could add a half-point to make it a 3.5 for Thai Village. Parking: If you arrive during peak hours, parking outside the establishment will be challenging. However, parking abounds on the street (metered) and in the bigger lot located mountainside (mauka) of the smaller lot located right outside of Thai Village. Restrooms: They do not have their own restroom; all establishments share the same key-only restroom, located in the center of the main building, ground level.
