After a recent visit to Siam Garden Cafe, I thought I would post a brief update/review: I ventured to SGC with my mom, brother, and SIL last month for lunch (on a Saturday, no less). We arrived shortly before 11:30am, and thankfully we were seated immediately (in a booth!) as there was only 1 group dining (this would be the antithesis when we departed as the restaurant was packed after 12:00pm). We got settled in our booth and looked over the menu. Collectively, we ordered/shared: Spicy Eggplant Pad Thai with shrimp Papaya Salad Siam Jungle Curry with chicken Steamed Fish with Soy Sauce I honestly couldn't decide which dish was my favourite, as I thought they were all a generous portion and flavorful. My mom complimented the eggplant and steamed fish repeatedly, and while I also favoured the eggplant, I found myself gravitating to the curry throughout the meal. My SIL also liked the fish and eggplant, while my brother had many good things to say about the pad Thai. We did take some leftovers home, and as we packed up the food I wondered to myself why I hadn't returned to SGC sooner. SERVICE The staff friendly, patient, and very polite. BOTTOM LINE We will certainly be back.
Perfect for a quick fix to get you on your way. This was a nice stop after a hectic Costco trip. Here's some logistics if you're a planner like me: Parking: Free, it's tight right in front of the restaurant and additional parking inside the garage. The vibes inside are very cozy and feels like home, just overall very special. Can accommodate large groups and a small one on one date :) Food comes out fast, takes about 10 minutes. Fairly delicious, fairly priced and then you're on your way home with your Costco groceries! The Thai tea here is very yummy. I'd recommend getting mild for any of the dishes here if you're not a fan of spicy. They're authentic so you'll feel it otherwise. Service is fast and attentive. Very straightforward. I'm giving it a 3 overall since it did the job but I've had a lot better at Brok Da Mout Thai Food. It's better than Bangkok Thai nearby that's for sure.
My family and I have been coming here for years! This place is one of my favorites to get pho (if you're into a more sweeter tasting broth). We love the Thai tea here! The atmosphere and the service is always great. They are located on Nimitz. The parking up front is really tight and there is more parking in the garage.
It was getting a little late on a Sunday night... and by "late," I mean about 8:00 p.m.--which, for us old folks, is 10:30 p.m. in old people time. We couldn't decide what to eat until my wife finally said, "Let's go get Thai food at that place my sister and I tried about a month ago." I responded with a "K we go." I figured they were probably getting ready to close, but we lucked out, Siam Garden Café is now open until 10:00 p.m. on Sundays! Awwwwwriiite...!. Since it was later in the evening, there were only a few tables filled, so we were seated right away and had plenty of time to check out the menu. My wife already knew exactly what she wanted--the Thai Beef Salad. I had my eye on the Thai Fried Chicken, and we added an order of Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). We requested it mild spicy--and definitely not Thai spicy, because we know better! There were a couple other things we wanted to try but we didn't want to overdo it with just the two of us. The food came out fast. First the Drunken Noodles, and wow... that was ono. The thick, chewy noodles reminded me a little of a chow/look fun, tossed in a a sauce with tender beef. Every bite was packed with flavor. Next came the Thai Beef Salad and the Thai Fried Chicken. The salad had that classic tangy dressing with vinegar and fish sauce that paired perfectly with the beef. If I had one small kine suggestion, it would be to add just a little more beef, but the flavors were on point. The fried chicken was cooked to crispy perfection--lightly seasoned so you could actually taste the chicken. Dipped into the Thai sweet chili sauce,you know the one, it was the perfect combination of crunchy, savory, and sweet. Even though we were pretty full, there was no way we were not going to order dessert. We shared the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect sweet and tart ending to a great meal. Last but not least, one Thai iced coffee to go. Yeah it's late but wanted to stay up and binge watch a couple of episodes of a K-drama, don't judge. Overall, Siam Garden Café delivered. Great food, friendly service, quick turnaround, and now with later Sunday hours, it's an even better option when those late-night Thai cravings hit. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu.

We both got here starving and fell for the "hungry eyes are bigger than the stomach" trap! It was just the two of us and here's what we ordered along with a Singha beer to kick off the meal... Spring rolls Masaman curry w/chicken Stuffed chicken wings Me grob with pork Thai fried chicken We also each ordered a serving of sticky rice Everything was fantastic as usual and it would be tough to pick out a favorite. I really do love their food and my only nit might be that the sauce for the Me Grob is a touch too sweet, nothing a spoonful of one of their chili sauces doesn't help balance out though. This meal was easily enough to feed a family of 4 (and keep in mind there was a 2nd beer ordered somewhere in the middle of all the food.) If we were planning on heading home afterwards it'd be no problem boxing up the leftovers for a late night snack or breakfast but we had a ton of plans afterwards so the food would probably go bad sitting in the car. Well, we did like all kids of mothers who drilled into us the "...there are starving kids in foreign countries" mantra and pretty much ate ALL of it, I think the only thing left was a bit of sticky rice and a tiny piece of chicken. Yeah, we were uncomfortably full but our moms would've been proud.
Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... My niece is home for a couple of weeks. She really likes Thai food, so we chose Siam Garden Cafe because of the free parking at Nimitz Center! LOL! The restaurant is located in the same strip mall as Eagle Cafe. I was here many many years ago with my high school classmate. We had stuffed chicken wings, pad Thai, green papaya salad, and summer rolls. It was a yummy meal! The cozy, dimly lit interior looks authenticly decorated. Service was pleasant and efficient! We ordered Panang Curry with no spiciness, but it was spicy for me. The sticky rice helped a lot. We also got the pad see ew... it was delicious! This is a convenient location with accessible restroom! We'll be back!

We started with their cucumber salad. Packed with flavor, even the "mild" is spicy. You can tell they make this fresh because the cucumber slices were still firm and not soggy. Their yellow curry was delicious. Smooth sauce that isn't too salty. We added chicken to our order and that was a nice texture. We enjoyed this over sticky rice. Our favorite was the pad thai. Balanced layers of taste that wasn't too sweet, not too tangy, and not too salty. The noodles were tender, the veggies were fresh, and we added fried tofu to our order. We went during late lunch so it wasn't too busy and the service was attentive. Over the years, the food here seems to be consistent...tasty and plentiful!
The best Thai food anywhere spring rows are. Plentiful curry's tastes great.I reached out, especially their stuffed chicken. It's killer, good. Go and try this place. I've been coming here over 20 years. Portions are still in in good portions
Been going to this spot for a long long time, their food keeps bringing me back. We got the stuffed chicken wing, the pad kee mao and their whole garlic fish. They didnt disappoint. They are still very consistent. This place still got the same lady servers in their 50s, warm and nice. They kept checking on us so felt like I have to tell them the food was really good lol. The restaurant is fairly small so when theres a larger group in there, its quite noisy. When we were visited, there was a large group of 10 ppl right next to us. And there was a moment where one person said curry then rhe whole damn table repeated curry 15 times in different accents. That was kinda weird.
The food is spot on! The service fantastic and I love the ambiance. The prices have risen but it will not stop me from visiting often. If you pay cash you save 3%. My wife and I spent $77 tip included for 3 separate dishes and one sticky rice and one regular rice. But, it's worth it to treat yourself to a nice lunch or dinner right? See you there! You can thank me later.
We came here with a party of 18 and I was honestly really impressed with how well the staff handled everything. The servers were super nice, efficient, and patient the whole time. Even with such a big group and a ton of dishes, the food came out pretty quickly and everything was on point. We ordered a bunch of dishes, spring rolls, fried egg rolls. papaya salad, Thai fried rice, panang curry, drunken noodles, and more. Everything was tasty and well-balanced. The mango sticky rice at the end was the perfect finish. The restaurant isn't huge, but they use the space well and were able to fit our whole group comfortably. It's located in a shopping center with paid parking in the back, so just a heads-up if you're driving. Overall, great food and even better service!
I always enjoy dining at Siam Garden. The food is consistently good. I really enjoy the atmosphere. The decorations and lighting is so festive. Excellent service.

Still the best Thai on-island in my opinion, sometimes the food quality isn't as consistent in terms of how it's cooked and seasoned--BUT this is my favorite Thai spot still! Be careful of the spice levels! The medium spicy is perfect for me, but can build with each bite. Love the Drunken Noodles here. The ambiance is nice, love the interior of this spot. So much seating! The booths are especially nice. Feels like home but also transports you to Thailand. Service is consistently excellent. Staff are friendly and thoughtful. Support this local business! read more

First time trying this place. Was recommended. Worth trying! Everything we ordered was delicious. I wasn't able to take pictures of everything we ordered. Ordered: all dishes were good portion sizes! -Fried shrimp and fried chicken as appetizers. Both were fried well and the batter for the chicken was light and crispy. -pad Thai was a big dish, lots of flavors - Pineapple curry with shrimp and yellow curry with chicken: lots of curry sauce, so don't forget to add side of rice . One order of rice can be shared at least 1-2 people. - pad see ew, noodles were nice and thick - garlic stir fry with beef, sauce was very tasty - Thai ice coffee: sweet and delicious. Cost $7, which was a little more expansive than I thought it would be. Nice place for lunch or casual dinner. Takes reservations and plenty of parking in front or there is a parking structure in the back. Staff were really friendly and food came out quick read more
My favorite place to take my girlfriends out for lunch. I usually like to get the beef salad or one of the special soups. Of course the white noodle pad. Thai is awesome too. Heck you can't really go wrong. My other friend actually ordered two of the desserts and damn it was good. Get the mochi ball one! Plan to go back soon. read more
While visiting the home state, my Thai friend recommended me this place and stated it was really authentic, so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Being all over Thailand and trying the food there, it's really hard to find good Thai food, especially in the states. We made sure to get there as soon as it opened because I heard it can be very busy. Within the first 30 minutes of it opening, the place was packed. Our waitress handled our orders quickly however, and gave us great recommendations. The food tasted amazing and I really liked my spicy basil beef fried rice. If you are sensitive to spice, I would recommend getting it mild since this was really spicy which I really enjoyed. The food was piping hot and fresh. I can't wait to go back. read more

Me and my boyfriend's favorite place for Thai food!!! The way they make their noodles here are always the best because it's so flavorful. It's the perfect amount of seasonings. I wish they sold Lao sausage but they sell isan sausage instead it's not as good but it's OK. Also, their curries are always flavorful and cooked perfectly. I've been to some places where the curries either too watery or weirdly textured but not here. Their tee is also one of the really good ones. Me and my boyfriend like coming here for date nights whenever we have the chance. Parking is pretty good. It's in the area with other places like essentially yours and stuff night time does get kind of busy but not too bad. You'll always find parking so don't worry about that. I've never been here where I've had to wait a long time so that's also good and the service here is always great. The ladies are super nice. If you love Thai food, you gotta try the Thai food here. read more
Super busy restaurant. The food speaks for itself with such a full patronage before noon. Service was efficient being only one lady servicing all tables. The kitchen was crazy with dishes coming out so fast with no noise, loud bangs or language being heard. A couple tables had men speaking way too loud like attention seekers but the rest were civil and polite. Servings are generous we took home 3 containers of left overs. One tv set had a Christmas scene running in the background. Couldn't tell if there was any music playing. An enjoyable meal. We tried 2 dishes for the first time- cellophane noodle salad and crispy pork belly($25). Stuffed chicken wings is hub's request and I must have a Thai iced coffee. Bill with tip just under $90. read more

Haven't been here in a while. Food is still delicious. Hubby got the ice Thai coffee, yellow chicken curry and chicken satay. I got the Thai pho and the spiciest papaya salad. Normally,we get our own because I like it spicy and hubby does like spicy food. This time the papaya salad was super spicy so I took it home and mix it with other stuff I had at home to balance out the spicy flavor. Server was nice and quick. Nice quiet place to dine in for dinner. It gets crowded around dinner time. read more
Last Thursday, on 11/21/24, at 12:00p my friends and I wanted to eat Thai food so we decided to go to one of our favorite Thai restaurants that is central to all of us which is Siam Garden Cafe. This time my friend and I each ordered the Thai Noodle Soup with Beef. The soup was piping hot and savory and the thin rice noodles were light and the basil and lime rounded out the bold flavors. My other friend had the Rad Na Noodles with chicken. She enjoyed the Chow Fun style noodles and the seasonings of her dish. My other friend enjoyed her Spring Rolls. She enjoyed the minced pork with vegetables and the crisp wrapping with her sweet and sour dipping sauce. We enjoyed everything. We will definitely be back to Siam Garden Cafe to try our other favorite Thai dishes. read more

Best Thai food on the island! I visited Oahu from Los Angeles and have got to say Siam Garden was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and it was absolutely delicious. I also sampled some of my partners soup which was incredibly flavorful and packed a punch! You can taste all the spices! The interior was traditionally decorated with the ambiance of a true Thailand experience. It's located in a strip mall so parking was not difficult, even on a holiday weekend. With that being said, service was a little slow in the beginning, but once our order was placed that was quickly amended. The food was authentic and flavorful and I will definitely return once I'm back in Oahu. read more

Love this place, been coming for years and still hits the same. It's a really good place to come with friends and do family style. Days that I come here on my own I normally get the Thai style pho with either pork or beef. This is one of my favorite soups, super flavorful savory salty and garlicky. I also ask for the chilis and add the Thai peppers in the vinegar for a little extra tartness. Service is always friendly and the food normally comes out quick. read more

My husband wanted to eat their spring rolls. Place a take out order and took them home to eat. The spring rolls were nice and hot and crispy with their vegetables inside. The plate had 5 rolls but only 2 pieces of green leaf lettuce and 2 cucumber pieces. Lots shredded cabbage and carrots. There sauce was sweet vinegar and chopped garlic. Siam Garden has been. Opened at this spot for years and still serving up some delicious Thai food. We stopped in after tennis and enjoyed Spring rolls, Pad Thai, Pork Basil, and Panang curry. We ordered everything mild which was perfect since it still disappeared have a little spice in it. Perfect dishes to share. Great service and the interior of the restaurant is nice. It was pretty full on a weekday night but we walked in with no reservations. Everything we ordered I would highly recommend. Delicious flavoring and very tasty Thai food. Siam Garden Cafe Overall: ***** Highly Recommended ***** Food: ***** Value: **** Menu: ***** Ambiance: **** Service: **** Parking: ***** (in front & behind) Siam Garden is beautifully decorated with pictures and artifacts from Thailand. Their food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. I discovered them in 2013, when I asked my intern in from Thailand, where is your favorite Thai restaurant? She said, Siam Garden. When I saw my friend, who has been a missionary in Thailand, for over 20 years eating at Siam Garden, he said their food is very authentic. Lastly, when I'm eating in the restaurant and I hear people speaking Thai, I know I'm in the right place. I've eaten at most of the Thai restaurants on Oahu and Siam Garden continues to remain at the top of my list. Is MSG added in their dishes?
You can specifically ask them NOT to add MSG but all of the other items such as fish sauce, oyster sauce that is used to cook does contain MSG.
Is anyone else having issues with the phone number to call for take-out? When I call I get a FAX number.
Last time I drove there on Sunday, the door was locked and notice says "close for deep cleaning". 🤷
Does anyone know if they're still open? I have been calling for several days to do a take-out order and either I get the busy signal or a fax machine picks up. I know they closed their Kaimuki location - please don't tell me they closed this one.

Where is the best place to park?
If you can find parking in front of the restaurant then that's ideal but if not there's a parking lot behind with a walk thru tunnel to the restaurant. There is also a ramp up to an upper lot.
