Cubby's is now open in Draper! Yeah!! We had a ladies lunch here to celebrate a special friend's birthday. This Cubby location is just as wonderful as far as food goes. We would have preferred to sit out side but there were no umbrellas to guard against the intense summer sun. We opted to seat ourselves inside but then we left early because we couldn't hear each other. The food was very delicious though. I of course ordered the wild rice Kale salad. My friends ordered the the tri tip steak sandwich, another friend had the Portabella mushroom burger, and my other friend ordered the Lentil red curry soup. All were delicious!! The food here is excellent! Next time we will try the drive through and take our food home so we can visit in a quieter atmosphere. read more

We are in from out of town and looking for good local options. This was just ok. The menu was good. Ingredients were fresh. Beef was delicious. I'm a fan of certified angus beef. It's a big step up from the other "angus" burgers that have popped up on menus over the years. We ate off of different sections of the menu and it was all good with the exception of the kids. Kids menu was poor but that's not too unusual among fast casuals. I knocked off two stars for value. As others have said, portions are really bad. Our family spreads from kindergarten to teenagers and two adults. Everyone ate something different. Prices are not cheap. We dropped a lot of money and everyone left hungry. Seems like this is consistent feedback. Hopefully the owner is able to take it onboard and make some adjustments. As I said at the beginning, they certainly know their way around a menu but this would not be a regular stop for our family until they present a better value proposition. read more

I love cubby's. the food is normally great and it's a really clean place but i was REALLY disappointed today. I had a short time in between my classes at school to come grab food at 11:00am. I got there, ordered food, and waited for 20 minutes with no other customers in the store and not a long drive thru line. My food was sitting out and had flies circling it with employees talking and laughing right in the middle of their shift not giving a care of my food. I wish their employees would be more efficient and quick. Just because the rush wasn't that big, doesn't mean customer service should go down. read more

Love Cubby's! During the pandemic it has become our go-to restaurant for whatever the occasion since there are options for everyone in our family. If we are looking for healthy options, their salads are amazing. The Tri-tip salad and chicken/kale/wild rice salad are two of our favorites. Their burgers and sandwiches are fabulous as well. The Dragonslayer and Tri-tip with sweet BBQ are our favorites. Was disappointed when we went. We were excited to sit down and enjoy our evening. Maybe due to COVID but they brought out our food in to go boxes and the fries were cold. They botched our order which when corrected, they seemed annoyed. Food was ok but not as great as people raved about. Also the kids high chairs were all dirty. I LOVE this place. As a vegetarian, this spot is great, the food is high quality, people are friendly, fast service, no complaints. I got the mushroom sandwich and my husband got the black bean burger, both were delicious! We also got some sweet potato fries and those were amazing. We get one of their cookies every time and they are always sooo good. We have tried the chocolate cream cheese and spice cake. We met the owner last time and he was really friendly. Had to leave a one star on principle alone. The Chicago beef is what started Cubby's on day one. It's the sandwich that I told all my friends they had to drive to Provo to try because it tastes like Chicago. My review from 7 years ago is still on their page. It is literally the DNA of Cubby's. I love cubby's!! I've been going regularly for 4 years, and there isn't anything I haven't loved. I especially love their buffalo fries though, they are so good. The atmosphere is fun and the customer service is great. I love that they use great quality ingredients but that they're not overpriced. It's hard to believe that you can get such quality food through a drive-through. The cockadoodledoo sandwich is fresh and delicious. Really like their black bean burger but the wait time for the drive thru is ridiculous! It takes 30-40min to get a veg burger and fries. I'm hoping they'll figure out how to staff their drive thru section with enough people to keep up with the demand during the lunch hour. Meh... food was mediocre and the 35 minute drive they wait definitely made the mediocre food even more disappointing. If food take This long to make then a drive the really isn't the best way to keep Customers Coming back. If I had 30 Minutes to sit around, I would have gone to a sit down restaurant. I'm honestly not one to leave reviews, especially bad ones. I work in the service industry and I know how stressful being low staffed is but today was ridiculous. The man taking my order was rude and short with me for absolutely no reason. Then I paid $50 for food that was gross, cold and missing so many things. My "beet and goat cheese" salad didn't even have goat cheese on it. I don't know, it was disappointing and now I'm still hungry because most of the food is inedible. Love the Buffalo Chicken salad at Cubby's. A good size salad with fresh greens, grilled chicken breast with Buffalo sause, red onions, tomatoes, bacon pieces, walnuts and a light vinaigrette dressing. Very tasty! Hubby likes the fresh grilled burgers and fro-tip sandwiches too. Be prepared though if you go through the drive up and order a burger it will take a few minutes as they cook it when you order. Doesn't look like much when you get in the drive through but then you see the menu and see that there are TONS of options, some vegan and some gluten free. This is great for people who are vegan as well as people who aren't allowed to eat gluten, I am not one of these people. Anyways, I decide to order the Gypsy Burger, some fries and the Tri-tip Steak Sandwhich, I got to the window, paid a lot more than I wanted to, and wished the somewhat non enthusiastic coworker a great day, bless his soul for I'm sure he be going through it. Anyways, I get home and immediately begin dining in, because I'm terribly hungry. The first bite from my Gypsy burger is pretty good but it seems like the more I eat, the more I realize that the food has gone from decent to simply ok, the worst part about my meal was really the fries. It seemed as if the fries were made 10-15 minutes before I arrived. They were soggy, cold, and maybe lacked a little bit of salting. Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're a non vegan, gluten lover. I would rather recommend going to 5 Guys, somewhere priced rather high but with enough taste to keep make you feel satisfied with an empty pocket or the across Gualbertos from the Five Guys, they're slightly less, heck! Ordered Kids Meal- received a piece of processed cheese with a single 2" piece of bacon on an old hamburger bun. The fruit cup that came with it had 2 apple slices and 5 grapes. Food is always 10/10. I haven't had a meal I haven't loved. I just am not the most impressed by the service here. Frequently have incredibly long wait times and when the staff has messed up my order I haven't felt they are the friendliest about fixing it. Having just moved to Draper, I'm always in search of somewhere to eat. Today, I needed lunch quick and remembered seeing Cubby's was a "healthier" alternative to abundance of fast food here. I went online and ready about them, and so related to their story. Red meat eater husband, salad craving wife... I decided to drive through today. I really appreciate they don't automatically put syrup on the sweet potato fries. They are sauce heavy, but with the holidays, Paleo has had to be put on a 50/50 schedule. I had the tri-tip sandwich. It was cute, the bun looked similar to a hotdog bun. Now, note the mention of Paleo earlier. I found the bread pretty tasty. Maybe, non holiday season cheat worthy even. I had the sweet BBQ sauce on it. Over all the sandwich was a good lunch option. I gave Cubby's a 2.5-3 (coming from San Francisco and Austin). The quality seemed good. I didn't have to skip any bites of meat due to toughness. The sweet potato fries are crinkle and we're even crunch when I returned home to eat them. Their menu sign isn't a permanent sign yet, so I had trouble telling if they have GF bun options, but when a need for non-sit down food arises again, I'd go back. read more

I come here once a week because why wouldn't you' go to a place with good fresh food. The sweet potato fries are so so so so good! I usally get the salad or the black bean burger and their both really good. They are usually busy so make sure you repeat your order or they can mess it up it has happened a few times to us. We ordered a Houdini burger, a tri-tip sandwich and fries. I was hoping for a hot, juicy flavorful burger, but it was basically the opposite. We waited quite a while for our food and I wonder if it sat around before it was delivered to our table. The burger bun was gigantic, dry and hard. I'm a sucker for good buns & these did nothing for me. The hamburger and mushrooms were cold, the cheese not melted, the sauce was undetectable, the bacon was like a piece of tough, dry beef jerky and I'm sure the crispy onions were missing all together. I went through the drive-through which took quite a long time, but I understand that they are understaffed. The half salad I bought was $9 and it was very small. There was maybe a half of a chicken breast on there (which I expected because it's a half salad, but it was a very small breast) and romaine lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, and parmesan cheese. That's it. For $9? The dressing tasted like it was pure lemon juice and my mouth instantly developed a sore from the acidity. I ate it because I was starving and I'm on a Keto diet so it was my only option because I took it back to my work and couldn't leave again to get anything else. I was so surprised at how much I loved this place! Their food was so fresh and the quality of it was really impressive, considering you could drive through it and it looked like a fast food place. I had their lemon chicken salad and the dressing was perfectly light and the chicken was restaurant quality. The only issue I had was that the wait in the drive-through was considerably longer than I would have preferred. They apologized for the wait, so I'm not sure if that is the norm. We have come here in hopes that it would be as good as the other locations, and the 3 attempts were pointless. This location lacks quality and has failed me every single time. I left today order a lemon chicken salad and a buffalo chicken salad and got home to 2 steak salads. We have ordered certain hamburgers in the past and received the wrong one. It's just mediocre food to wait the time it takes to get it prepared and given to you, which is so insane.
