Both dishes were outstanding. The smoked salmon toast was bright and fresh. I loved the hard boiled egg and dill. The chicken and waffles were a standout. Still, I always evaluate a restaurant based on the balance between quality, value, flavor, and the overall experience. In this case, I felt the food was good but not exceptional enough to justify the prices. La Condesa is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for a beautiful brunch spot with a trendy atmosphere. However, between the cramped seating, the value for the money, a few disappointing dishes, and feeling rushed at the end of the meal, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. I don't regret trying it, but it isn't a place I'd personally choose to revisit anytime soon.

Then about 5 minutes later I asked again. Then I watched our waiter go into the open kitchen area and lean against a counter and chat and laugh with two other staff for 5 minutes. I stood up and walked toward him and he saw me. He broke with the group, came out and said, "Sorry, I had to do something in the back." Very mediocre experience overall. Not what I expected based on previous experiences at the other location. Also, noisy dining room, no solid buffering insulation in the ceiling. Cafeteria-like experience.

I never write reviews and I'm easy to please when it comes to food. This is a first. After multiple disappointments eating here, Cubby's is not worth the hassle/price/wait time. Drive through wait is 20-45 minutes long Messed up multiple orders (I'm actually surprised when they get my order right) Overcharged multiple times Ordered salad with multiple live aphids crawling on it Portions are small for the price (when you order "extra guac" you can expect a teaspoon-size sliver on the side) Not worth the price/wait time/poor service. read more
