Great service right from the start. Ordered bougie biscuits to start. Three light and airy biscuits with three different spreads arrived quickly. They all were so good that we couldn't agree on a favorite. Breakfast burrito and ube pancakes for mains. The burrito was STUFFED with delicious chorizo, cheese, egg, and veggies. Wrapped in a super large tortilla then grilled for crispy exterior. Served with a fantastic salsa with hints chipotle heat. Great flavor but not so much that it buries the flavor. The ube pancakes were also incredible. Four large, lightly crisped cakes topped with ube whipped cream, blueberries, blueberry syrup drizzle, and a mint sprig. First bite was so good that I didn't talk for at least five minutes, so I could shovel in more and more. They came with a side of syrup, but it was definitely not needed. I'll certainly be back to try more menu items, but it'll be hard to resist temptation of the burrito. Interesting Menu, Disappointing Execution Hash Kitchen has the right ingredients for a great breakfast spot. A well located, nicely designed space in the heart of Draper with a menu creative enough to make you want to come back and work your way through it. The execution on my first visit, however, did not quite match the ambition. First practical tip: join the waitlist before you leave home. This place is consistently busy on weekends and walking in cold means a long wait before you even sit down. We sat outside, which would have been great had the service kept up. It did not. Our waitress was largely absent and at one point I had to physically stand up and flag her down to get attention. That should never happen regardless of how busy the floor is. The Birria Hash was too greasy, the quesadilla spared on cheese, and the consommé arrived cold. The biscuits were fine, nothing more. Went this morning around 10:30. Was not busy and were sat promptly. I am in a cast and using a knee scooter, the tables are really close together and it was hard to get seated at the table and out. The entire restaurant doesn't seem handicapped friendly. It took a long time for the server to come take our drink order, another long wait to get her to take our food order, and a really long wait for the food to be served. She didn't come back to check on us or refill our drinks. I flagged her down to get a drink refill and we sat around a long time waiting for her to give us our check and pay. The savory dishes here are really sweet, we got the birria hash and biscuits and gravy. We didn't like the dishes bc of the sweetness. I'm glad I didn't eat anymore bc we currently both have food poisoning. It was our first meal of the day and I know it was from here. Update: We went here yesterday after my dr appt in the area. Husband and I were sick all day yesterday w food poisoning. He had to go back to work after we ate here and was sick at work all day and I was sick at home. With a cast on. The potato tacos were delicious, but the biscuits came cold and the waffle that we ordered was cold. The butter was soft so we asked if they could heat it up and said there were we were told no they would make us a new one which came out slightly warmer, but then they served us cold butter. I was so excited when this spot opened up, but then the early reviews weren't super promising. Thankfully by the time we rolled in, the kinks had been sorted out. We were REALLY impressed with our experience. Our service was great. The inside is really cool and modern. It's an exciting (somewhat noisy) environment, and I didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone with our toddler. My son and I did the donut bar which was so fun. I had French toast with bacon, eggs, and hash browns. The hash browns blew my mind. We haven't had the opportunity to come back yet, but we absolutely will be back. read more

First time in Utah and my son and I stumbled upon this gem. They had as my son described it "the best fried chicken wings he's ever had in his life!" He devoured the entire plate of chicken and waffles as if he had just gotten off of a deserted island. Mind you, this child is extremely picky and would rather starve than eat food he doesn't like. He ate the entire serving and kept raving about it. The birria hash was also excellent. I don't even like potatoes but the smashed potatoes in the hash were the best potatoes I've ever had. This place is awesome! Loads of parking! We joined the waitlist through yelp for a group of 5 so had very minimal wait. Decor is super awesome! Our waitress was very nice. They DO NOT serve alcohol until 1030a so we had to wait to order the fun drinks. And they have sooooooooo many fun drinks!!! The cotton candy glitter is super cool! Sadly, we won't be coming back. We waited over 40 minutes for our food while several tables around us who arrived after us were already being served. (Might I add there was also not even a lot of people... ) After waiting so long with nothing coming out, we asked if we could get an appetizer while we waited. Another 20 minutes passed, and the appetizer never came. At that point, we decided we just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. We asked another waiter to let our server know since no one had checked on us. Suddenly, our server came over with bread and told us the food was "almost ready," but after such a long wait and no communication, we politely explained that we simply preferred to leave. Unfortunately, instead of just bringing the check, the situation became uncomfortable. The manager, with no name tag, and server Chloe seemed more focused on debating timing details argumentatively rather than acknowledging the experience or showing understanding. Came this morning for a birthday breakfast and it was terrible across the board. The food was the biggest issue. We ordered an eggs benedict that came on corn cake *crumbs* - not whole corn cakes like the menu made it seem. The meat was totally flavorless. The other benedict we ordered literally had bones in it - chicken wings. I get that it's probably on me for not reading the menu close enough, but what a stupid idea for a dish - just use fried chicken for Christ sake. The service was terrible. Our waitress was not very attentive and it took asking her three times to get the ticket so we could go get donuts from the donut bar. The ambiance was also bad. It was 9 in the morning and they were blasting house music with disco balls going. I get that it's supposed to be a trendy, Instagram-worthy restaurant, but it was totally cold and tacky - completely the wrong vibe for breakfast. And since we were there for a birthday, we asked about a birthday special and they said "oh yeah, we do a birthday pancake plate." They brought the pancakes and then proceeded to charge us for them. Hash Kitchen is our kids' choice anytime we go out for breakfast. It's now a tradition for our back to school breakfast. They love the Build Your Own donut bar. (We found out that's an Utah thing because of odd liquor laws. The Gilbert, AZ location didn't have a donut bar and my kids were sad.) My wife and I share the Birria Hash every time we go. The star of the dish is the smashed fingerling potatoes they sit at the bottom of the skillet mixed with the egg yolk, corn tortillas, Oaxacan cheese, and Birria meat, the flavors and textures work really well together. Let me start off by saying one word, SPECTACULAR! This restaurant is a Mexican American brunch place. The atmosphere is lively and eclectic. Entrance: my party had a group of four and it was only a 5 min wait. Host greeted at the door with a smile on their faces. Entrance to the restaurant is facing North and easy to find. Restaurant: clean, chic, and has a unique vibe. Music is a little louder but if you don't like that, they offer outdoor eating. Out door eating covered and no sun gets you. The tables and chairs are clean. No signs of wear and tear on the furniture. Bathrooms: they have bathroom inside the restaurant to the left of the entrance. They are clean and had stocked paper towels and toilet paper. No unusual smells. Food: finger licking good! Nothing lacked flavored! What I ordered was chilaquiles with your choice of eggs, salsa verde or red salsa and you can add birria or chicken for additional cost. I added birria for $6 more and the portion I got was NOT worth $6 but it was good! The birria was cooked perfect and was tender and seasoned nice. My husband ordered pancakes ($15). They were fluffy and came with an array of fruits and syrup with butter and topped off with powdered sugar. To top off my order, I got an order of their biscuits-comes with 2 for $3 (served with jam and butter on the side) Taste: everyone in my party enjoyed the flavor. The biscuits are my favorite and to die for! They are perfectly crispy on the outside and melting your mouth because of how fluffy they are on the outside. The pancakes were pretty thick and my husband could only eat half of them. Allergies: my husband is severely allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and the waiter made sure they cleaned the grill they cook items with nuts so he wouldn't have an allergic reaction. I am happy to report, no anaphylaxis today!! Portions: they are pretty big portions for the price you pay. Super cute Instagram-worthy place but they lack a bit on their food offerings. Service was prompt and friendly but the chicken for the chicken and waffles lacked flavor and was small and the waffles were just okay. They had fried leeks which is an awesome idea but 2/3 of them were woody, stringy and inedible. Pineapple upside down pancakes again sound like a great idea but it was just pineapple core through the middle. It would be better if they cut them into small pieces and dispersed them throughout. I'd give it just under 4 stars. The place is always busy so expect a wait but they do pretty good. It is loud so again go in with expectations there. The drip coffee is actually pretty decent for "diner" coffee. I got the tamale cakes Benedict and a side pancake. The pancakes are huge and can definitely be shared. Great pancake, super fluffy and great flavor. My tamale cakes were completely crumbled and I don't think they are supposed to be honestly so that's kinda sad. Flavor was mid on this one. I feel like it was really lacking and I expected more from it. Overall it's a decent place, slightly overhyped. Not sure I'll be jumping at the chance to come back but worth the try. read more

The hot chicken was dry and average at best, the avocado toast tasted strange (and I think it was due to the avocado spread they use--I had to scrape off the avocado and eat around it), the pancake was probably best thing we ordered but quite sugary and not as fluffy as other options around. This summer we came here on a Sunday for brunch. Was about a 20 min way, there's not really place to wait outside so unsure what it would be like to wait during bad weather... It was a really nice day so we sat on the patio. Didn't take not of what the inside looks like or how many tables, sorry! Outside was nice, but cars did drive through the plaza so just a heads up if that's an issue for you! The food was good and servers were friendly!
