Good ol' Club 90. We've been coming here off and on for years. It's a staple of South Salt Lake / Sandy and always delivers with a fun atmosphere and friendly, fast bartenders. Most recently, and the reason for the review, was a surprise birthday party for a best friend. We all arrived early and we were able to reserve a section of tables and decorate even though there was another party scheduled for the same night. It didn't cause any issues and they were happy to work with everyone. The food (Nachos, wings, etc.) and drinks came out fast and were delicious. The sound system at Club 90 is ridiculous in the best way. Bass that shakes you down to your balls and they played a great mix of music. The outdoor patio was nice to get some fresh air, for smokers to grab a quick smoke and is heated so you don't freeze, even though it was 30 degrees that night. Overall a great place and a fun time was had by all with good food & cold drinks served quickly by friendly waitresses. No complaints and we had a great time!

    Karaoke night and some talent.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR THE FOOD. We came Thursday night for the Karaoke, which was fun with a LIVE band. No cover. Tip jar, and they don't pay the band. But good gosh... we ordered food to support the place. I've had better hospital food. Fries are okay. (?)

I want to come work here! The food was really good, and really expensive! Our bill was $145 for the two of us. Our server Jaxson was really knowledgeable on the menu, and really friendly. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house as all the burlesque dancers move around the space. Be prepared with some ones to tip them, but they also take Venmo. I'd love to come back!

Our server was funny, personable, and attentive, especially when it came to drinks and refills. Things started going downhill when I received my entree, the Poor Man's Truffle. Unfortunately, the only way this dish lived up to its name was in how little the supposedly high-quality ingredients seemed to come through. The dish itself is fairly simple, which normally isn't a bad thing when the ingredients are meant to speak for themselves. With Belper Knolle, truffle oil, pistachio pesto, tomato, fennel, and arugula, I expected something flavorful and well balanced. Instead, the entire dish tasted incredibly mild. Belper Knolle is typically a bold, salty, peppery cheese, and I could visibly see the black pepper around the edges of the thin shavings, but the flavor barely registered. I also couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. There was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the plate, but no noticeable truffle flavor. I understand pistachio pesto tends to be more subtle than a traditional basil pesto, but altogether, this dish just fell completely flat for me. The presentation didn't help either. It looked more like something that had been scooped from a pan and dropped onto the plate than a thoughtfully plated entree. When a dish misses both on flavor and presentation, that's when it becomes a real disappointment for me. I will say the gnocchi itself was cooked well, which was one of the few positives. I also tried the burger, and it was significantly better than my pasta. However, the very small sprinkle of bacon was a little baffling considering it was an additional upcharge. Where the night really went downhill was at the end of the meal. I had been excited to try the beignets because that isn't a dessert I see on menus very often. Our entree plates were cleared, and then we waited about 20 minutes before our server returned and asked whether we were ready for the check. Dessert wasn't mentioned, and by that point our table was tired of waiting, so we decided to skip it and asked for our checks. Then our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a hostess who was seating another table and let her know that we were still waiting for the check. About five minutes later, our server finally returned and casually explained how "crazy" the night had gotten because of the show. I understand restaurants get busy, but the apology felt very dismissive after we had waited nearly an hour from finishing our entrees to finally receiving the check. It genuinely felt like our table had simply been forgotten. I also want to add that I tend to hold restaurants like this to a higher standard. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for." If I'm eating at a fast-food spot or somewhere inexpensive and casual, there's only so much room to complain. But when a restaurant has prices like this, highlights premium ingredients on the menu, and presents itself as a more elevated dining experience, I think that naturally opens the food and service up to more criticism. At that price point, I expect the quality, presentation, and overall experience to reflect what I'm paying for. My final takeaway is that maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Pesto is one of my favorite things, so I almost always want to give a pesto-based dish a try. Unfortunately, Prohibition's pesto gnocchi was not it for me. I also saw that they describe themselves as a scratch kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, which I don't necessarily doubt. What confused me was how so many ingredients that should have distinct flavors somehow tasted like almost nothing. If your goal is interesting drinks and a fun show, this is probably still a place worth considering. Since we sat outside, I can't speak on the show part, but it seems to be a big hit. Food-wise, though, it missed the mark for me.

I also saw a pitcher of green beer go to another table so you know its that time of the year. The place doesn't have mushrooms so my quesadilla was stuffed with green peppers and onions. I prefer mushrooms but seems a lot of places don't carry mushroom anymore. Overall, an underwhelming experience. The restaurant is beautiful with fancy light up menus which is needed because it's pretty dark inside. I ordered the beef ribs and my husband ordered the picanha. Both came out extremely tough and chewy. My daughter had to spit out her bite because she got tired of chewing so we had to cut each piece into 1/2 cm pieces for it to be palatable. I've been to Brazilian steak houses before and beef ribs are usually the most tender and flavorful especially when there is bone. The server did say it was going to on the chewy side but I didn't think he was serious. Like why would you make meat intentionally chewy? For a $50 dish that came with no sides and worse than what we've made at home it's pretty disappointing. We also ordered a side of the grilled veggies which had some veggies that were so bitter and others that were undercooked and no seasoning. The purple yams were decent and the coquettes but again the pricing for each was exorbitant. Also because they have a somewhat open kitchen style concept the dining room got extremely hot and we were just dying to get out quickly. For two entrees, two sides, one app, a bottle of water and glass of wine a bill of $225 was not worth it. Sadly not a great experience.

There is not a boring inch in the whole facility as they even decorate their employee access doors with intricate art work. Tasteful planters everywhere. The employees and volunteers are helpful and friendly. Such interesting information on species and habitats. A shout out for their café. Reasonable prices for delicious food. It was $13 for a pub smash burger and drink and fries. Only a couple of bucks more than a #1 at In-N-Out. It was really tasty! Bun was homemade delicious. The fries were exceptional. Crispy outside and creamy inside. Garlic fries. My wife had the Romain lettuce something bowl with pulled pork. She said it was excellent. Very generous portion as she got full half way through. My son then scarfed it down. I also couldn't resist and had to buy a chocolate cupcake. Very moist and the frosting was real frosting, not the yucky, airy stuff that grocery stores put on their sheet cakes. Pretzels are amazing. We did the ECCO virtual reality "ride." Of course, not anywhere near a Disneyland level of a ride, but it was informative and interesting and fun. You can do the ocean or Amazon river experience. We did both. This is free and included in your admission. I really like how they put benches to sit throughout the facility. When you visit such places, you get "mall legs" and sitting down is a respite. Highlights: Penguins! (So cute and funny!), shark tunnel, touch ponds, otters, jelly fish, giant fish, aviary. There is a very nice little kids' playground. Interesting to get an up close look at the claw (ECCO). [It was the staging for U2's 360° concert tour for lighting, video, sound, SFX. The aquarium owner saw it was for sale and bought it. it was dissembled, shipped, and re-assembled.] Get there when they open or close to it for close in parking and less crowds. Such a great place to have nearby. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Today, we arrived and noticed the menu had changed. We ordered our usual Legendary Omelets--something we've ordered for years. Each omelet was priced at $16 with cheese and bacon, and we included several vegetables on each. When our bill arrived, we were shocked. One omelet was $25 and the other was $22. We asked our waitress how a $17 omelet had increased so much and were told that Legends is now charging $1 for each and every vegetable added to an omelet. While it was listed on the menu, we didn't realize each vegetable would be an additional charge. It should have been communicated that EVERY additional vegetable will be $1! Our total came to $51 before tip--for two omelets. We expected it to be around $35. We understand that restaurants have had to raise prices, and we don't mind paying more for quality food. What is disappointing is the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed over basic vegetable toppings that have always been part of how we've enjoyed our omelets. The vegetables added to an omelet are so minimal, I don't understand the change. Sadly, this pricing change means we'll no longer be returning.
