Small menu, that's how these fancy places are. We ordered the pasta, mediterranean dip, chicken piccata, Cesar salad. It was good but you don't ever feel fully full from a place like this. We went out to lunch with our daughters. This place is definitely more of a fancy vibe and don't think I'd go back with kids unless they are very well behaved. The staff was friendly and there was no wait. I got the tacos (3 different ones) and they were delicious! I was worried it wasn't going to be enough food, but they filled me up just fine. The Korean fried cauliflower was the best thing I have eaten in months. Everything else, mid. Service was disappointing. Steak sandwich was not my favorite. Overall, I would just get the cauliflower to go. The area is nice and the restaurant looks great. If you are in Draper, this is probably not the worst option. First meal ever in SLC, and I was impressed by this restaurant in the suburbs. Everything we tried was great. Food Appetizer was Trio of Carrots. Carrots in purée, crisp, and roasted form. Really delicious. The server recommended Beet Carpaccio, which I will try next time. I tried the Duroc Porterhouse Pork Chop. One could wonder if I even received any food on the plate as I sent the plate back clean, it was that good. I also tried The Carne, prepared blue, and it was perfection. The executive chef/boss herself brought out the ribeye and poured the butter over it. On the side was the horseradish sauce with pearl onion bulbs and large black salt crystals, which was so good. The others in the party got Birria Braised Short Ribs, which they always order and enjoy. We also got the mocktails ginger mint mojito and pomegranate limeade, which were good. For dessert, we had Butter Cake and House-made Ice Cream Scoop (cherry chocolate rocky road). I left happy and stuffed. Service Everyone was great. It was neat to have the chef come out with The Carne. We asked to see her again after the meal, as we wanted to convey our gratitude directly. It was pretty cool to meet her. I usually come to this restaurant when I'm in town due to convenient location and good food. Since I'm going back to Seattle on Thurs and we decided to have the family meet here for dinner on Wed @5:30. I called around 2 and wanted to make reservation for 10 people and was put on brief hold to speak to manager due to size of our party. I was told we are not able to go in and I would have to reserve party room weeks in advance with extra charge. There were literally no discussion on how to accommodate our request to dine on Wed night. And if we go in on Wed night and it would be after 8:15 pm! We've been there lots of times and I know the set up of restaurant and there were not even suggestions of split our party into two smaller tables whatsoever. I was really stunned to learn on a weeknight and not a holiday in a neighborhood restaurant that we couldn't be accommodated. I felt the manager I talked to was so arrogant. Every time we go in and dropped several hundred dollars easily for lunch bc I like to eat well. Previous times we were there I dropped over 1000$! They missed a big business tonight out of us. I am very disappointed of this business practice. So they'd rather do business with smaller parties and ignored the bigger parties. I would understand if it's on weekend or holidays but it's Wed. Even though we liked the food at Cultivate I think they are too stuck up now. I've actually wrote several good reviews of this place previously and now I will not recommend this place due to this none customer oriented practice. read more

I came here for the first time on a Tuesday night at 5:30p. I was pleasantly surprised to see parking was plentiful. Every other time I've come to this plaza it took a while to get a spot. When I walked in I was surprised to see it's much smaller inside than I thought, but it's a cozy intimate setting. One thing I loved was that they don't try to cram as many tables in the space as possible. I didn't feel like people on either side of us were a part of our conversation. The staff was friendly and professional, service was great. We ordered the baked Brie app and for my meal I went with the Jamaican jerk chicken lollipops on whipped bleu cheese even though I don't really like bleu cheese. It was a risk, but the dish actually tasted really good. The chicken was tender. I think I would have liked them a little hotter temperature wise, but maybe that would have affected the whipped cheese. To drink I had a coconut chai martini. When my wife and I walked in without a reservation on a Thursday evening, we learned that the wait would be over an hour. We opted to sit at the bar, where we could get a drink and order dinner immediately. I appreciated that option, and will make mental note to make a reservation in the future. It was a cool experience-the bartenders were fun to interact with and we got to see a little behind the scenes action that we wouldn't have had otherwise. They made us some drinks and we ordered food, which was brought out pretty quickly. We both ordered fish-I had salmon, my wife had trout, and both were delicious. Not only were they tasty, but the presentation was very nice as well. Even though it's a slightly more upscale place, it didn't feel stuffy or inaccessible to folks who are wearing flip flops and shorts, like we were. We celebrated our anniversary at Cultivate Craft Kitchen and had the best server I've ever had. She was so personable and fun --it made our night extra special. We tried the butter cake, which was amazing despite the presentation being a bit lacking. The homemade salted ice cream was incredibly smooth and delightful. The chicken lollipops looked a bit burnt but were so unique and delicious. I don't usually like blue cheese, but it was very faint and enjoyable in this dish. The duck and risotto really stood out; the duck was so crisp and flavorful. We also had the bacon and chicken gnocchi, which was quite filling. I went here for lunch with some friends and absolutely loved the food and service, so I took my husband back for dinner. The dinner experience wasn't as great as the lunch experience. The food was still really good, but the service was just ok. The first time, the server took our leftover food back to the kitchen and brought it back out boxed up. This time, we were just brought out boxes to box it ourselves. Which was odd since some of the tables around us received this service, but not all of them. And the server was attentive enough, but not really friendly. The staff that brought out the food was super nice! The food was really good. Came out at the right temperature, had lots of flavor, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The inside is smaller, but the tables are set nicely apart to give some privacy between tables, and it's not too loud so you can easily carry a conversation with those at your table. The parking lot was super crowded as there is a wedding next door. And although it says spots are saved that doesn't happen so we had issues parking. read more

I had the BEST experience at Cultivate Kitchen--this might honestly be my new favorite spot in Salt Lake. I sat at the bar and ordered the house margarita, beet carpaccio, and pork belly, and every single thing was perfectly balanced and thoughtfully executed. The margarita was fresh and not overly sweet, just super clean and refreshing. The beet carpaccio had the most amazing combination of earthy, creamy, and crunchy textures with a drizzle that pulled it all together. And the pork belly... unreal. Crispy, rich, and paired with pickled carrots that literally make my mouth water just thinking about them--the acidity cut through everything perfectly. Visited Utah for a business and wanted to grab a good bite of food, did my research and came across Cultivate Craft Kitchen. I was super excited after reading the reviews. We gave it a try for our group lunch. I was expecting a lunch menu which they did not have, the menu was small and would probably be the same as dinner prices. We ordered a variety of items from on the menu...we started with the fried cauliflower, it was delish! Let's talk about the baked brie with spicy honey, I almost ate the whole thing myself. Our waiter was top notch! We ordered the Thai Chicken Salad, Chicken Caprese sandwich, cheeseburger and Steak sandwich, presentation was great for all and they tasted even better. Plus, if you can get a seat in the bar area the vibe is the best back there!! The small plate cauliflower is one of my favorites and plenty to share as an appetizer for 3-4 people. It's delicious! I don't remember the bar tenders name. he was really friendly and gave us some great suggestions. We started with drinks and I had. The Golden Hour Aperol, Hand Pressed Lemon, Fresh Honey Syrup, La Marca Prosecco- Really good! We had spring rolls and the asparagus. Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus fresh asparagus, Tuscan prosciutto, lemon aioli Fresh Handmade Spring Rolls fresh vegetable mix, hand rolled in rice paper, served with Chef's special peanut sauce Both were delicious. FYI. only enough for two people. The springs rolls were very light and fresh tasting and the peanut sauce was also very flavorful. - The asparagus were wrapped in prosciutto that was crispy!! Yum! Wish there was more than just 4! I ordered -Bacon and Chicken Gnocchi house-made gnocchi, Nueske's bacon, spinach, alfredo sauce, Grotte Caputo cheese The bartender said it was his favorite dish so I went for it. It tasted really good. The gnocchi was so good and fluffy. Wish there was more. I counted like 5 pieces. But I can't complain there was tons of chicken and bacon! What a great little spot with great food and great service. What really stood out was the quality and variety of food options. Not an extensive menu but some offerings that I don't see at every nice restaurant. Good prices and solid portions equal a great value. And I always believe quality over quantity. This was both. My son ordered the chicken lollipops, Jamaican jerked chicken drumlets over whipped blue cheese. Really impressed by the size and amount of meat. Tender and juicy with great flavor. Son could only finish two, so I had to help and we still brought some home. 5/5 My wife ordered the sausage soup which was really good and quite spicy. 5/5 She also ordered the Trio of Carrots, the best carrots I've ever had. I'm not vegetarian but if it was all as good as this I'd have no problems. 5/5 I ordered the taco trio which the server highly recommended and a half Caesar salad. Ordered way to much food as the portion sizes are really good. The pork taco was a little fatty, Al pastor chicken was really good and the steak taco was the best. Ambiance: This is a clean and modern establishment, and we noticed a lot of business lunches taking place when we entered. I imagine this transforms into a very nice place for dinner in the evenings. 2. Service: For price of the food, the service could be better. When we entered the host said " feel free to take a seat,except for this corner booth". Of course, my husband didn't hear him and picked that corner booth so it created a little awkward moment there , which could've been avoided if the host just "assigned" us to a table. Once we were seated a server came to drop off waters and menus and gave us a few recommendations. She started off pretty good but afterwards she seemed less attentive and kind of rushed when she came back. She asked if we were ready to order. We ordered the open salmon BLT and French dip. I was debating between the watermelon mock tail or blackberry lemonade, but I don't recall if she asked if we wanted to order any drinks and therefore did not order a drink. Not terrible service but for an upscale restaurant like this, there is area for improvement. 3. Food: I liked the unique menu and the chef has great concepts. Few things to consider: -The French dip has great quality meat. I wish that the bun was toasted a little bit longer to prevent the sogginess that occurs towards the end of the meal -The open face salmon BLT was a little bit messy, which was to be expected, considering that it is an open face BLT. It could maybe use less sauce and the lettuce could be chopped up? - Overall great flavors, but seems to be a little salty for my palate. I would suggest letting the food and flavors speak for itself and not go so heavy on the seasoning. This is the type of establishment that I would expect to see in downtown Salt Lake City, so it is great to get a restaurant like this in Draper. read more

The atmosphere is fun and the service is fantastic! I do think the food suffers from going more for style than substance. My fiancé and I came to celebrate finishing planning/ paying off the rest of our wedding. We are self proclaimed foodies and the pictures of this spot hooked us! When I say the food is more style than substance, I mean the presentation on the plate is gorgeous but the flavors are ok/good. We ordered then Arancini for an appetizer which was my favorite item of the meal! It's very heavy on the mushroom and isn't overpowered by the sauce or panko fried risotto ball. Their bar seemed great as the Garden of zen cocktail my fiancé got was crisp and refreshing! I ordered the bacon and chicken gnocchi, the gnocchi is clearly fresh and tasted delicious, my only critique is that the bacon they used really dominates the flavor and makes it hard to appreciate their perfectly made gnocchi. As for the burger, I genuinely couldn't taste the white BBQ sauce, maybe the pickled fried onions overpowered the flavor similar to how the bacon took over the gnocchi. I'm from Vegas so I'm not opposed to higher prices if the overall experience is fantastic, but for what you eat it's a bit over priced in my opinion. Overall this is a good place to go if you're on a first date and want to take a non foodie to a fancier restaurant; but if you're solely in it for taste this spot may not be for you as the flavors are not unique and it all looks better than it tastes. read more

The cauliflower was some concoction of sweet/spicy with the perfect balance of flavors. The purée on the carrot app was some form of carrot, maybe with maple (waitress knew nothing ‍), and definitely didn't go to waste. Food is decent, some entrees better than other. The downfall for the place and the reason for the 3 stars is the price. Completely overpriced for what it really is. We started with the chicken lollipops, which were good. Worth the price of a main entree? Maybe not so much. The whipped bleu cheese tasted more so like whipped butter with a hint of bleu cheese. For entrees we split the burger and the blackened Idaho trout. The burger was great, good flavor and cooked perfectly. Could use some sort of greens added and there wasn't much of the sauce but overall it was a great burger. The fries on the side were meh, crispy outside and soft inside but flavor wise it was lacking. The trout was a bit of a letdown. It was cooked great but had almost no flavor. The avocado crema didn't add much to it either. The price though, now that is where it slaps you in the face. 2 entrees and an app for almost $100 after tip is absurd. It was worth maybe half that if we're being honest. I don't mind paying that much for a nice dinner, when it actually tastes worth it. All this to say, it had potential but the quality doesn't match the price and we won't be back. read more

I love cultivate kitchen! They have amazing food and drink options (gluten free too!! - ask for a menu if you need this option). Their drinks are beautiful created and made. I liked the Draper Water with the Vida Tequila. When the beet tartar came out we were so confused about how to eat it but it was delicious! The goat cheese really tied it together and it was *chefs kiss.* The cauliflower tacos were healthy and delicious, they kind of tasted like orange chicken flavoring, almost which was different. The Caesar salad had the most delicious croutons with a light dressing. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection!! The trio tacos had this delicious dressing on the top to bring everything together.
