For myself when i spend 37.55 for lunch and not feel like it was worth more than Mcdonald's I'm not going to go back to the Tin Roof. I got the Chicken Wings and only ate 2. Brought the other 5 pieces home knowing I would throw them away. I am pretty sure they were from the day before, the texture of the meat told me so. By the picture the skin is swiveled. A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? I ordered the garlic cheddar burger with french fries. I liked it. It was just a basic burger, though not overly garlic. The Italian dressing topping was pretty good with it. I really liked the fries. They were seasoned really well. My friend ordered the Reuben and said she would probably order it again. We came in on a Friday evening and were seated immediately, as there were a few tables opened. Our server was great. I opted for the fish and chips, which to my surprise was one giant fish! The batter was good and it had a good flavor. There was malt vinegar on the table and the tartar sauce was tasty. The chips were fresh and cooked well and the Asian slaw had a ginger vinaigrette and was a nice addition. My wife enjoyed the lettuce wraps that were served on crisp romaine lettuce. She thought the meat was too salty, but the sweet Thai sauce helped to balance things out. I had that special pizza with pureed white bean sauce as featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. The combination of flavors works and was tasty. I also had a slice of their famous cheesecake also featured on DDD. It was OK, but i don't think anything special. Others in our group had the fish and chips. It was one big white fish fillet batter dipped and fried. Looked good, but it was one big piece. Good service, friendly and efficient. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. This is my second visit. My wife and I went in the early afternoon last week. I ordered the lettuce wraps. I know it's an appetizer but it sounded good. It consisted of a cup of warmed, seasoned ground chicken. The seasoning was interesting and very good. There was definitely some heat to it but not overwhelming. There was also a hint of a tangy flavor as well as a little sweetness. It isn't ground fine so there is something to bite. The lettuce cups were perfectly crispy. It was also served with shredded vegetable peelings and a sweet and sour chili sauce. Delicious! We couldn't finish the entire meal inside the restaurant because they served a lot of food. I won't complain as we each had enough food left to make another meal. We will visit here again. Service was outstanding! I didn't catch our servers name but we visited on 1/3/26 about 4pm. The food we ordered was delicious. The kids pizza was enough to feed two young kids. Pizza is thin crust with loads of toppings. My garlic cheddar burger was huge! My daughter ordered the chicken pesto which was also delish. If you're in the mood for a drink the Black Widow Rooster draft was smooth, flavorful, and tasted magnificent. Every time we got to TRG, we always enjoy our time there and the food! But tonight was so special! The wonderful team at TRG let us rent out the whole place for my momma's 60th birthday. They let us come early to put up a few decorations and get set up. Then the team worked their butts off to pull off the best party! Seriously they were running around the whole time making sure everyone was taken care of. Special shoutout to Lettie who not only served, bussed and took orders, but she also went out of her way to take pictures and videos of our group celebrating and THEN spent time making sure we got the pictures. The food was amazing as always, warm and fresh! The salmon, pesto pasta and mac and cheese are just out of this world good! The real showstopper, though, was the cheesecake at the end of the party. Yum!!! I didn't know what to expect at this place I have seen it driving by but decided to try it out. The food was good I am picky about my fries but these were good and seasoned well. You basically seat yourself and you sort of have to wait around for someone to see you. Luckily went during non peak hours so I did not have a problem getting help. Our waitress was very nice and helpful and checked on us during our visit many times. I had the garlic burger and it was not too overwhelming but the patty was thick and not small. We had a mamosa with pineapple and it was very good as well. All in all good place to eat I think I might try dessert next time. Friendly staff with a full bar?! Yes, please! We came to Tin Roof on a late Sunday morning. We walked in and sat ourselves (as the sign requested) and was greeted immediately. We stopped by for the first time because I had heard good things about Tin Roof, plus it's so close to where we live. You can call to make a reservation, which I'd suggest for a larger group. Otherwise, it's free seating which can take some time waiting for someone to leave. There is a full bar and also bar seating as well. We got the name goat cheese which I did not like, the red sauce around the cheese had a distinct smell and tasted like shrimp cocktail sauce - not what I was expecting at all. The Mac and cheese with shrimp and bacon really saved it for me - it was amazing. Cheesy and creamy without being super heavy. The chicken pesto burger/sandwich hit the spot and the pesto aioli was delicious. Just use that as your fry dipping sauce! Lots of options of cheesecake and deserts too. read more

This was the ok-est of any place I've been. My friend and I visited for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Service was underwhelming...when I asked what the soup of the day was, I got a shrug and then the server said "I haven't seen it yet, but I don't think it's ready." He didn't seem too confident in his own answer and had no interest in finding out what the soup was. I ended up ordering a hamburger and fries. It was also....ok. Nothing amazing, although I appreciated that it was cooked just the way I like it-without any "funny business" (as the lady who delivered it to the table said) on the burger. My friend and I ate at TRG today--a first time for both of us. I ordered the Sampler plate which is a huge amount of food and she had the fish and chips. Mine was delicious. Meatballs in sauce, two crispy, hot croquettes, barbecues wings, and Asian coleslaw, everything on the plate was exceptional. We have been eating here for over 10 years now and used to love coming here on Sundays for breakfast. This past year the service, the food and the ambience has definitely changed. The last three times we have come here the service was terrible, the food was served cold and bacon was burnt to a crispy black. A group of 9 United Airlines Retirees went in for a get together. The food that I had (it was a spaghetti with eggs breakfast) was amazing and listed on the menu as one that Guy Fieri would recommend. Several had fish and chips that was a Guy recommend also. Our fix was delish and our waitress outstanding! She kept our group hopping and was so nice, no hurry, but kept the pace. They do have cocktails also. I had a Bloody Mary that was good, I'm more simple on the Bloody Mary side so all the extra protein and salad I toss, but for most they would love it. Definitely a go back to.
