    Blueberry sour cream cheesecake
    Scott W.

I ordered the garlic cheddar burger with french fries. I liked it. It was just a basic burger, though not overly garlic. The Italian dressing topping was pretty good with it. I really liked the fries. They were seasoned really well. My friend ordered the Reuben and said she would probably order it again. I haven't been here in a while, but I remember their cheesecake being amazing. Not so much this time. I would save yourself the money and go somewhere else for dessert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside was clean I liked the slight dimming of the lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There weren't many people there but the server was nice and we got our food fairly quickly.

Great local spot. Ordered the pesto chicken, had the put it on toasted sourdough. This was a great choice. Then I added bacon. Also a good choice. My dinner partner had their house fries and I took some. Yes I ate some french fries, super yummy. I have to say our sever was wonderful , recommended the chicken curry soup. I'm also not a huge curry fan and this was delicious. What I had was 5 stars .

We came in on a Friday evening and were seated immediately, as there were a few tables opened. Our server was great. I opted for the fish and chips, which to my surprise was one giant fish! The batter was good and it had a good flavor. There was malt vinegar on the table and the tartar sauce was tasty. The chips were fresh and cooked well and the Asian slaw had a ginger vinaigrette and was a nice addition. My wife enjoyed the lettuce wraps that were served on crisp romaine lettuce. She thought the meat was too salty, but the sweet Thai sauce helped to balance things out. I'm curious to try some of the other options on the menu and happy to support a great local business.

Very homey, comfortable setting. The appetizers were really good. Really good. The breadsticks were so tasty, the croquets, meatballs, special cole slaw, all so very good. I had that special pizza with pureed white bean sauce as featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. The combination of flavors works and was tasty. I also had a slice of their famous cheesecake also featured on DDD. It was OK, but i don't think anything special. Others in our group had the fish and chips. It was one big white fish fillet batter dipped and fried. Looked good, but it was one big piece. Good service, friendly and efficient. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

    Croquettes!! WOW!
    Kiera S.

Date night at Tin Roof Grill = absolutely worth the hype. The croquettes? Believe the reviews, yes... they really ARE that good: The surf-and-turf prime rib with lobster was melt-in-your-mouth, the garlic mashed potatoes were insanely creamy, and the blackberry mule was perfection. Service sealed it! Erik nailed the timing all night, and the manager Marc personally checked on us, which made our first visit feel special. Drove from Davis County and would 100% do it again.

The Egg Benedict was fantastic, great service and big portions. I love this place!

This is my second visit. My wife and I went in the early afternoon last week. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is fun and the employees are very nice and pay attention to detail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is amazing. My wife ordered shrimp scampi and loved every bite. I ordered the lettuce wraps. I know it's an appetizer but it sounded good. It consisted of a cup of warmed, seasoned ground chicken. The seasoning was interesting and very good. There was definitely some heat to it but not overwhelming. There was also a hint of a tangy flavor as well as a little sweetness. It isn't ground fine so there is something to bite. The lettuce cups were perfectly crispy. It was also served with shredded vegetable peelings and a sweet and sour chili sauce. Delicious! We couldn't finish the entire meal inside the restaurant because they served a lot of food. I won't complain as we each had enough food left to make another meal. We will visit here again. I have uploaded a photo of the lettuce wraps and the shrimp scampi. Try it! You might like it.

    Kids Half Pepperoni Pizza
    Randi H.

Service was outstanding! I didn't catch our servers name but we visited on 1/3/26 about 4pm. The food we ordered was delicious. The kids pizza was enough to feed two young kids. Pizza is thin crust with loads of toppings. My garlic cheddar burger was huge! My daughter ordered the chicken pesto which was also delish. If you're in the mood for a drink the Black Widow Rooster draft was smooth, flavorful, and tasted magnificent. This was our first ever visit but anytime we are on Sandy and need to eat we will come here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend!

    Chicken Marsala

I ordered the Chicken Marsala, and it was absolutely delicious with great portion sizes. I brought a group of students with me, and they loved the food, which says a lot. I didn't even realize until afterward that Tin Roof Grill was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives -- now it makes total sense! The server was the sweetest ever, attentive and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better. The restaurant also has plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot for groups. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend ...

Every time we got to TRG, we always enjoy our time there and the food! But tonight was so special! The wonderful team at TRG let us rent out the whole place for my momma's 60th birthday. They let us come early to put up a few decorations and get set up. Then the team worked their butts off to pull off the best party! Seriously they were running around the whole time making sure everyone was taken care of. Special shoutout to Lettie who not only served, bussed and took orders, but she also went out of her way to take pictures and videos of our group celebrating and THEN spent time making sure we got the pictures. The food was amazing as always, warm and fresh! The salmon, pesto pasta and mac and cheese are just out of this world good! The real showstopper, though, was the cheesecake at the end of the party. You seriously cannot go wrong with the cheesecake here! Salted Caramel was my favorite and I will be back just to eat a big ol' slice of it! Thank you Marc, Lettie and everyone else who helped us celebrate our most favorite person in the whole world! You guys are amazing and we couldn't be more thankful!!!!

    Breakfast Spaghetti
    Sara B.

I'm not a watcher of The Food Network, but when I was having my car serviced across the street at Pep Boys, they referred me here for "Breakfast Spaghetti", as reviewed by Guy Fieri. At first when I heard this, I couldn't help but conjure images of Buddy the Elf pouring syrup on a plate of carbs, but this is the furthest thing from it. Bacon, ham, onions, eggs, red peppers, cheese, and quite savory! I never thought I'd be the one to say this, but thankful(?) that my car broke down!

Ask the Community - Tin Roof Grill

Are they still open? On a Friday night the Yelp app says they are closed?

    They just reopened on 2/7/22!

    I believe they've closed permanently...?

Nope. They are open, and they recently won Best In State for their cheesecake.

Is this the same business as on Triple D? Are there gluten-free and dairy-free options?

    Yes.

Unfortunately my experience was disappointing before I even had a chance to eat. The restaurant's online hours showed it was open during prime dinner time on a Saturday, so I made the 25 minute drive only to find it closed with no explanation. A few other people arrived at the same time expecting to enjoy dinner here, but were equally confused and bummed. What made it even more confusing was a note on the door saying the restaurant was on vacation for 2 weeks, but the dates listed were for late June to early July. It's now late July. I'm not sure if the business forgot to update its hours or if something unexpected came up, but having inaccurate details online / unreachable contact made for a frustrating experience. I hope they can keep their online information up to date in the future as I'd still like the opportunity to try the food someday.

Whether it's date night, dinner with friends, or a bigger group outing, this place consistently delivers delicious food, warm service, and that homey, family-run charm that's getting harder to find. I always recommend calling ahead for a reservation, especially if you're rolling in with more than two people. They've got plenty of room for larger groups (huge plus!), but I like the peace of mind knowing we've got a table waiting. We tend to start every meal the same way--with their antipasto board, and honestly, why mess with perfection? It's a beautiful spread of deli meats, cheeses, olives, sweet peppers, and this time, perfectly cooked asparagus. It's shareable, satisfying, and the kind of appetizer that feels like an occasion in itself. Entrees come with a salad, and the house-made feta dressing is always our pick. Creamy, tangy, and addictive--it's reason enough to clean your plate. For my main dish, I went with the chicken piccata, and it was a win: tender, bright with lemon, and generously portioned. Between the caper-forward sauce and the size of the plate, it was a win for both my appetite and leftovers the next day. My other half ordered the veal marsala, which is rich and satisfying--just know it leans a bit sweet. Our friend went with the spaghetti and meatballs, which feels like Fratelli's unofficial signature dish. Always classic, always comforting. Their wine list leans Italian, of course, and it's well-curated--plenty of great options by the glass or bottle. I only managed a couple photos this time because, full honesty... I was way too excited to eat. Fratelli is a bit of a drive from home, and when you're craving comforting Italian in a space that feels like family--you make the trip. Great food will bring people in, but exceptional hospitality is what keeps them coming back. Gossip Kitchen 2 delivers both. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding Italian food and a restaurant that truly makes you feel welcome.

I visited about six weeks ago with friends. We chose this restaurant specifically because it's…read moregluten free, but when we arrived, we were told they were unable to serve the gluten free dishes at that time. A sign on the door with this information would have been nice. The chicken Parmesan itself was pretty good, but the spaghetti served with it was meh. The best thing about this restaurant is that they were able to accommodate our rather large group, and the seating is such that we had a lot of privacy. I would likely hesitate to return, though.

And so it begins…read more.. I walk in Wednesday just before 5 pm. There's a group of three and me. Plenty of places to sit. Upon entering the it's quiet, which I cherish after a day in the office. It's clean, neat and organized, ready for the night's dinner guests. There a sense of pride. I'm getting the artichoke dip with Focaccia, small house salad, and baked ziti with andouille sausage. I ordered bottled water... didn't pay attention to the size. I got the big bottle. All good. Ate my bread too fast. I'm hungry and it was warm and soft with a nice chewy crust... Italian herbs on a plate, balsamic and evoo...good to go. The music is a an eclectic blend of the Temptations, easy listening and big band. Very relaxing. The food is fresh and good. They only used evoo for salad dressing... I wish it had a citrus vinaigrette to brighten the flavor. Otherwise very fresh. The baked artichoke dip is hot and fresh too. The baked ziti is hot, cheesy, meaty and just knowing the resultant and a healthy focus on non gmo ingredients and caters to vegan and vegetarian patrons is super appealing. The young lady helping me, Lauren, was attentive, very helpful and kind.
