One of our favorites. Now that the patio is open we thoroughly enjoy eating and partaking of adult beverages outside on their patio. Sushi is always good and their specialty drinks though expensive are excellent. Service is always very good as well.

This is probably one of the best sushi places I've had in my life, maybe a close second to an omakase spot I had in NYC. I came for my birthday and then my friends birthday. The fish here is so tender, tastes super fresh. The quality and presentation is stunning. Highly recommend. If I could eat here everyday I absolutely would. Also staff are so kind! They take time describing things to you.

Such a great sushi spot when you're on a date night! Me and my fiancé got three rolls to share and one of them was fried which was my favorite. The service was great and we will definitely be back for their sushi!

If I could give 10 Stars I would. My favorite place to eat. Everything is fresh and made to order. Excellent food.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Elegant surroundings and service. The food is fresh and made to order and the Lamp Lollipops are to die for. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Mint is absolutely delicious. Their original location in Sandy is my favorite of their locations. Each time we go to Mint, the food is deliciously fresh, detailed, plated beautifully, well thought out and creative. The service is wonderful each time - you can tell the staff absolutely loves the product they are serving and stands by it. My favorite is the Yellowtail Hamachi. The sauce under the fresh, perfectly sliced fish, is so flavorful and unique. It is the perfect combination of spicy, vinegary, slightly sweet with a delicious umami flavor. The spicy tuna crispy rice is another favorite of mine. Under the generous serving of spicy tuna is the most perfectly crispy rice patty. So yummy! We have tried many, many things on their menu and it never disappoints. Mint is the perfect place for a date or any special occasion. Make a reservation!

I've only ever heard positive things about Mint Tapas & Sushi and yet I always managed to overlook it when choosing a spot for sushi. Why? I have no idea. Maybe the name? Or the location? Who knows. Now that I've visited, I will never overlook it again. Everything from the service to the sushi was absolute PERFECTION. We ordered the salmon belly and three specialty rolls to share and found ourselves in the best kind of food coma. I wish I had tried Mint Tapas and Sushi sooner. It's easily one of my favorite sushi spots in Utah. The next time you're in the mood for sushi, you should definitely go to Mint. Trust me, it's worth the hype.

It had a great menu with all the gluten free items clearly marked! I had a lemonade mocktail that was delicious but sadly no refills. I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly honestly the best ribeye I've had in Utah. My mom had the lettuce wraps and my sister got their pizza. We were all very happy with our meal! Honestly a great find! I would come back in a heartbeat!

Not a single open table. PACKED. And honestly... now I get it. I'll be real--I went in a little unsure. Most of the reviews are a few years old, and while there are photos posted by the owner, they don't say what anything is (which made ordering a bit of a guessing game). A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? We walked in unsure... and left already planning what we'd order next time. Safe to say: totally unexpected, totally impressed, and 100% coming back.

I feel like the hostess must have unexpectedly been out because the folks managing seating and reservations seemed a little lost. This was our first time here and I was pretty concerned about what the rest of our experience would be. We got to our table and then sat there for 10 minutes without any kind of greeting. Following the disorganization of getting seated, we weren't sure what was happening and almost left. I'm so glad we stayed. Once our server greeted us, it was smooth the rest of the evening. We ordered drinks (Old Fashioned and wine), both were excellent. Someone brought delicious soft rolls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar-excellent. We stuck with tapas and the portions were bigger than expected. We had a whole lineup of items we wanted, but filled up after three. We ordered a charcuterie plate that was an off menu special. Iberico and a truffle manchego cheese and a rosemary manchego cheese served with toasted baguette and grapes. It was delicious! We also ordered the Gambas Al ajillo salsa Roja (shrimp in a red sauce) and the Pulpo à la gallega (octopus). The shrimp were incredible. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Okay, I DID eat the sauce with a spoon and then asked for more bread to sop it up. The octopus was a surprise. My husband ordered it and I was prepared to try a small bite. It was fantastic. The octopus was nicely chewy without being rubbery at all. And it was served with potatoes in a thin sauce that tasted like olive oil and paprika and onion. So good. We looked at the desserts and my heart said yes while my full stomach said no. I almost ordered the crème brûlée cake to go, but decided to come back another day. Our server (Zack) was great! I really think something happened with the hostess because the rest of the evening was so smooth. Very interesting interior. We sat at a small cafe table that felt strangely intimate despite how crowded it was. We'll be back!

My parents had made reservations for an extended family dinner to celebrate some family birthdays. We hadn't seen my brother and sister-in-law for over 3 months, so I was REALLY looking forward to spending the evening with them. The food was good, although my son was disappointed that they didn't have the full charcuterie board that we had ordered back in the summer. My steak was cooked perfectly, but the au gratin potatoes were incredibly unevenly salty. Like so salty in a few spots, I actually nearly gagged. After a few bites, I gave up and left them on the plate. While we were finishing our entrees, our server came and said that she had noticed we brought gifts and told us that we might want to start opening them because they had a party of 25 coming and needed our table. I thought that was rather rude because several of us were still eating. But those who had finished their entrees started opening gifts. And our server is trying to quickly clear the table and knocked over my husband's glass of Coke which spilled onto his lap. She brought out a wet towel for him to use to clean up, but instead of politely handing it to him, she threw it across the table for him to catch. Soon she came back with the check, and I asked her, "Don't we get to have dessert?" To which she replied, "You can if you know what you want or decide really quickly because we have that party of 25 coming." Look, we were not a huge party, but we had seven people and it was a BIRTHDAY celebration. We should be allowed to have enough time to have appetizers, entrees, AND dessert. We should also have time for presents and time to enjoy conversation without repeated reminders of another party who needs the table we are using. The rushed feeling, the spilled drinks, and the repeated reminders of this other party who was coming (because obviously they were more important and we had to get out of the restaurant quickly so they could have our table) ruined the mood and the celebration and left a really bad taste in my mouth. Especially when one of our party mentioned it to the manager and all he said was "I'm sorry, I hope you'll come again." Ha! Not likely. Not after being treated like that. I'm not going to give them an opportunity for a repeat performance of such crappy treatment.

Sushi, Gyoza, and Tempura, Oh My! A Tsunami of Flavor in South Jordan…read more If you're ever looking for a meal that's so good it makes you question your life choices (like why you didn't order more), Tsunami in South Jordan, Utah, is the place to go. My taste buds had a wild ride, and frankly, I'm not sure they've recovered yet. Let's start with the gyoza, which was as close to perfection as I've ever seen. These dumplings were practically holding a therapy session on my plate, saying, "It's okay, you don't need to share us." Crispy on the bottom, tender on the top, and served with a dipping sauce that I can only assume was brewed from the tears of angels. Next, we moved on to the sushi, which could only be described as the sushi equivalent of a red carpet event. The roll looked so perfect I almost felt bad eating it... almost. But then, I took a bite, and all those feelings of guilt went out the window. This sushi roll had layers of flavor that unraveled like a plot twist in a telenovela. Now, onto the tempura. You know how sometimes you get tempura and it's just a greasy mess? Not here. The tempura was light, crispy, and had the kind of crunch that makes you feel like you're in a satisfying ASMR video. I felt like a food critic from a fancy magazine as I dipped each piece into the sauce, which was so good I'm convinced it has magical properties. Overall, Tsunami is the kind of place that leaves you full but also slightly panicked because you realize you have to wait until the next visit to experience this level of food-induced happiness again. So, if you find yourself in South Jordan and have an appetite for deliciousness, don't miss out on this culinary wave of awesomeness. Just be prepared to get hooked, because one visit won't be enough! Had it not been for Natasha our experience would have been subpar Tsunami is Lucky to have her.

We ordered the crispy fried calamari, pork gyozas, and five rolls: the Tsunami, the Spicy Masa, the Vegas, the Jenny, and the Cobacabana. My favorite by a good margin was the Spicy Masa. The habanero sauce is spicy-delicious, with real heat but enough flavor that you keep going back for another bite. The Vegas and Tsunami rolls are crowd-pleasers, and the pork gyozas are a solid starter to share. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, no complaints there. The atmosphere is where I'd push them to level up. The decor is simple and modern, which is fine, but it doesn't create much of a mood, and the dining room gets loud fast. If you're hoping for a quiet, intimate dinner, this probably isn't the spot. For a casual night out with friends or family, though, the energy works. One tip: get a reservation, especially on weekends. Walk-ins can be rough.
