    Chicken Pad Thai

This is a very cute little restaurant which has a cozy house vibe to it. The service was great as the chef would come out to interact with us quite a bit. I came in for lunch and was excited to try the Pad Thai as I heard that this was their most popular dish. I really wanted to enjoy it as I heard they even grow their own bean sprouts. I will say that the ingredients they use are incredibly fresh. However the reason for the 2 star review is that I found a long hair in my food and felt there was simply way too much sauce. Everytime I went to pick up the noodles I would get splashed by all the sauce dripping off of my fork. The sauce was also very tart which made it a bit overpowering.

Extremely comfy, locally owned and operated Asian/Vietnamese/American place. It's made out a converted very old home with both indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the indoor seating is next to a wood-burning fireplace. The owner and chef is a kind woman who checked on us frequently during our stay and told us about how she grows the bean sprouts she serves in her own kitchen! My Rib Eye Burger was very good, and made with top quality ingredients, though it was a bit smaller than I would have liked for the price. Not holding that against it, though. Try them!

When you stumble upon what is clearly the best restaurant in town you realize yelp is suppressing the best food experience available in your local community. I've lived here for years and why hasn't this showed up in my Yelp results ever?? Banh mi and massaman curry were everything you could hope for. Local diamond in the corporate rough.

We decided to try this place based on the rating. Having been to various Thai restaurants in Salt Lake and Utah counties, this is easily towards the bottom of the list. The restaurant doesn't have a great layout, the seating is not comfortable, and when we went the air was out so it was hot. A lot to be desired here especially if you compare this place to Baan Thai at the Traverse Outlets. The menu is very limited compared to other Thai places. We tried the lettuce wraps and Pad Thai. I enjoyed the Pad Thai but the lettuce wraps were just okay. The Diet Coke tasted flat. I wonder if they just have canned soda versus a fountain.

I had the Pad Thai. It was so good! Pretty much everything made from scratch by the sound of it and by the taste. They opened in 2019 and weathered Covid. No wonder, this place is great. Owned by husband and wife. Definition of hole in the wall. Delicious! Thank you.

French dip (little meat) with pho dipping broth, horseradish "aioli" (more just horseradish) and DELISH vinaigrette salad

Looked like this place is run by two owners on a Friday night. They both were rushing around trying to take care of the diners. The ambiance is like being in someone's house with a handful of tables set around the dining room plus entryway. That's literally what it is, an old house dining room plus side area. It's small and noisy. There is a few meal options that are both Thai and American with a French influence. The pad Thai noodles were over cooked (a bit mushy) but had good flavoring with big chunks of grilled chicken vs. the tiny bits you usually get at Thai restaurants. My French dip was kind of ok. It comes on a super crunchy baguette but with tiny slices of beef in 1 layer so it's not noticeable. Served with pho instead of au jus, giving it even less beef flavor, and not enough breading to soak up the pho. The horseradish aioli (more like just horseradish) comes on the side; which is probably good to let you decide how much, if any, to add to your sandwich. The salad was my favorite with its savory yet sweet vinaigrette already mixed in. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but would try again if in the area. We'd try different menu options to see if ordering something else would bump up our rating.

Food was delicious! I got the French dip and it was the best I've ever had! Will be coming here again!

We chose it because it was close to the hotel how lucky are we. We went with a group of five. We ordered three entrees and a side of wings. The wings were our starter and they were fantastic black and wings are great highly recommend. My wife and I split the fried chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and the cornbread it was absolutely fantastic cannot speak highly enough. My mom and dad split the shrimp and grits which they also said was great I did try the grits they were lovely, gooey, cheesy awesomeness. My sister had the kale salad as she needs gluten-free options it was easily the largest most fantastic looking kale salad I've ever seen, and she said it was great. The last thing I would probably comment on is the sauces with a name like sauce boss it better have good sauce and it did. Each and every sauce was unique from others I've had but didn't disappoint all where extremely tasty I especially like the spicy one that came with the fried chicken. At this restaurant they don't have salt and pepper on the table and for good reason everything was spiced and seasoned very well. As for service, our server was very attentive, very kind, made great suggestions and all that being that we came in within a half an hour, 45 minutes of closing, you can't beat that!!! If you want boring food don't eat here. If you want the same plain Jane thing you find at every other chain, don't eat here! On the other hand, if you want amazingly tasty food, service and sauces and a good story to tell eat here!!!

Draper, Utah…read more Southern food? Fried catfish? All in the middle of Utah? I had to try it. This is a sit down and order restaurant. Very casual inside, white walls with metal chairs and concrete floor. Very simple. Very small space. About 14 tables. I have food, allergies, and the waitress answered all of my questions. But then she sent the chef/owner, Julius, over to talk with me. Pleasant man from Chicago. But his recipes are all from his family who lived in the South. I ordered the fried catfish which is accompanied with two sides. I chose the candied yams and the mac & cheese. My husband ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, potatoes, and gravy and the macaroni and cheese. Both plates are served with a slice of cornbread with a large honey butter smothered on top. The food came out very hot. The breading on the catfish is very thick and a lot of spices. I was pleasantly surprised when I cut my catfish and discovered it was deboned and tender. The mac & cheese was creamy and the candied yams were super sweet. Just the way I prefer them. They did seem a bit runny, but the flavor was good. The fried chicken was unbelievably moist. The breading was thick and crunchy. The mashed potatoes were of course, homemade with spices, and the brown gravy is chicken based. The cornbread was delicious. Comes with a slab of honey butter. I only wish it was served warm. It would've made the experience perfect. The food portions are large. The food has wonderful flavor with the perfect spice and southern heat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would give it 4.8 stars. The only two things that brought it down from a perfect score were the cornbread being cold, and the restaurant was not a cozy feel. Please come check this restaurant out and meet Julius.

Not a single open table. PACKED. And honestly... now I get it. I'll be real--I went in a little unsure. Most of the reviews are a few years old, and while there are photos posted by the owner, they don't say what anything is (which made ordering a bit of a guessing game). A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? We walked in unsure... and left already planning what we'd order next time. Safe to say: totally unexpected, totally impressed, and 100% coming back.
