I did not expect a place like this from a strip mall location. It's unassuming on the outside. But step inside... Classy, calm, beautiful decor, and great vibe. This place would work great for an intimate, romantic dinner. It also worked well for our group of ten. Service was timely and unobtrusive. The server was able to move around and fill drinks, serve food, and check on us without interrupting any of the conversation. Steaks and scallops were prepared perfectly. Everyone at the table had requested different levels and each one was done right. We all loved the garlic and mushroom on the steaks. The only complaint was there wasn't mustard available for the lone cheeseburger order. Toro Steak is going to become a regular favorite.

Absolutely loved this place! I ordered the truffle fries, wings, pork chop, and a burger -- and honestly, everything was excellent. The truffle fries were addictive, the wings had great flavor, the pork chop was cooked perfectly, and the burger hit every note you'd want. It's rare to go through an entire order and not have a single miss. Highly recommend -- will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience tonight at Toro. We were a party of nine for a birthday, and the food was incredible, as well as the service. I had the ribeye, and it was fantastic. Others in the party had salmon and a filet. I wish I would have taken more photos, all I have is my ribeye. Come in and try Toro for yourself and get the photos I missed. We will be back!

I like to consider Toro a minimalist steakhouse. While they do have some decor and ambience, it's a modern look that blends into the background. I appreciate that it's not over the top or obnoxious. When my wife and I visited, we were the only guests in the restaurant. Our server and the host sat behind the front counter, checking in on us occasionally to refill water, etc. The service wasn't super attentive, although it was friendly enough. Ordered the salmon salad (I know, not what most people go to a steakhouse for) and it was delicious! My wife ordered a steak and the flavor was terrific. I got to sneak the mushrooms since she doesn't care for them. They have a bar as well, so you can order an adult bevvy. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. I'm not sure it was incredibly memorable, but nothing bad either. We'll probably be back when we want a quiet, subdued meal without peanut shells on the floor or random line dancing in the aisles, if you know what I mean. ;-)

    Butterfly Martini

My girlfriend and I have gone to so many places, good food, good restaurants. This is by far one of the best kept secrets in the area! Food is absolutely fantastic. Try the Brussels sprouts. Try the salmon! And the ribeye is to die for..dont get me started on the cocktails. Expresso martinis, smoked old fashioned, and more. In the Pic is one of their limited specials, Butterfly Martini. Try this place 100%. Prices are great, Food is fantastic, service and atmosphere is perfect.

    Brussels with balsamic and parm

Not what you think when you see it driving by take the chance go in!! Great atmosphere high dining but not stuffy. Grey goose martini to start was amazing followed by Brussel sprouts recommended by our Waiter Jaxon who was very accommodating and attentive. They were yummy. I can't say enough about the fact that you can just get a great steak!! Sides yes if you want but no need just a great perfectly cooked piece of meet is where it's at. We will be back.

Kinduva' weird location...here, a nice upscale restaurant hidden in the middle of a strip mall surrounded by shoe stores, fitness boutiques, and hair salons. But a true hidden gem! We made online reservations (just in case), and were seated promptly. Nathan R was out waiter and he did an exemplary job taking care of us. The place is beautifully decorated in a minimalist way, and we both enjoyed pouring over the menu (also somewhat minimalist in its offerings), but offered up some great choices nonetheless. We each had a beer from the adult beverage menu...and for dinner my wife ordered the Shrimp Scampi, and I had the special of the day...a Pork Tenderloin plate, both with salads. Both entrees and salads were de-lish. And Nathan also bought out a complimentary dessert to celebrate our 43rd...and the cheesecake was awesome. What a great place this turned out to be. Yes, its affiliated with The Tiburon in Sandy, where we've also spent a few anniversary dinners. But this new venue seemed a bit nicer and more receptive (and waaaay quieter). Five Stars for excellent food and service. We will be back.

I want to come work here! The food was really good, and really expensive! Our bill was $145 for the two of us. Our server Jaxson was really knowledgeable on the menu, and really friendly. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house as all the burlesque dancers move around the space. Be prepared with some ones to tip them, but they also take Venmo. I'd love to come back!

Our server was funny, personable, and attentive, especially when it came to drinks and refills. Things started going downhill when I received my entree, the Poor Man's Truffle. Unfortunately, the only way this dish lived up to its name was in how little the supposedly high-quality ingredients seemed to come through. The dish itself is fairly simple, which normally isn't a bad thing when the ingredients are meant to speak for themselves. With Belper Knolle, truffle oil, pistachio pesto, tomato, fennel, and arugula, I expected something flavorful and well balanced. Instead, the entire dish tasted incredibly mild. Belper Knolle is typically a bold, salty, peppery cheese, and I could visibly see the black pepper around the edges of the thin shavings, but the flavor barely registered. I also couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. There was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the plate, but no noticeable truffle flavor. I understand pistachio pesto tends to be more subtle than a traditional basil pesto, but altogether, this dish just fell completely flat for me. The presentation didn't help either. It looked more like something that had been scooped from a pan and dropped onto the plate than a thoughtfully plated entree. When a dish misses both on flavor and presentation, that's when it becomes a real disappointment for me. I will say the gnocchi itself was cooked well, which was one of the few positives. I also tried the burger, and it was significantly better than my pasta. However, the very small sprinkle of bacon was a little baffling considering it was an additional upcharge. Where the night really went downhill was at the end of the meal. I had been excited to try the beignets because that isn't a dessert I see on menus very often. Our entree plates were cleared, and then we waited about 20 minutes before our server returned and asked whether we were ready for the check. Dessert wasn't mentioned, and by that point our table was tired of waiting, so we decided to skip it and asked for our checks. Then our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a hostess who was seating another table and let her know that we were still waiting for the check. About five minutes later, our server finally returned and casually explained how "crazy" the night had gotten because of the show. I understand restaurants get busy, but the apology felt very dismissive after we had waited nearly an hour from finishing our entrees to finally receiving the check. It genuinely felt like our table had simply been forgotten. I also want to add that I tend to hold restaurants like this to a higher standard. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for." If I'm eating at a fast-food spot or somewhere inexpensive and casual, there's only so much room to complain. But when a restaurant has prices like this, highlights premium ingredients on the menu, and presents itself as a more elevated dining experience, I think that naturally opens the food and service up to more criticism. At that price point, I expect the quality, presentation, and overall experience to reflect what I'm paying for. My final takeaway is that maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Pesto is one of my favorite things, so I almost always want to give a pesto-based dish a try. Unfortunately, Prohibition's pesto gnocchi was not it for me. I also saw that they describe themselves as a scratch kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, which I don't necessarily doubt. What confused me was how so many ingredients that should have distinct flavors somehow tasted like almost nothing. If your goal is interesting drinks and a fun show, this is probably still a place worth considering. Since we sat outside, I can't speak on the show part, but it seems to be a big hit. Food-wise, though, it missed the mark for me.
