Sunday's Best in Sandy absolutely lives up to its name! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant had a fun, upbeat atmosphere with beautiful décor and friendly service that made us feel welcome. Every dish that came to our table looked like it belonged in a magazine, but the best part was that the food tasted just as incredible as it looked. We started with the Eggs Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs, flavorful rosemary ham, rich hollandaise, and crispy potatoes. The Funky Monkey French Toast was over-the-top in the best possible way, loaded with Nutella, bananas, berries, roasted peanuts, and real maple syrup. The double cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries. We also loved the Beet & Strawberry Panzanella, which balanced sweet strawberries, earthy beets, creamy whipped goat cheese, crunchy pecans, and fresh mint for a refreshing combination. The biggest surprise of the meal was the beignets. Warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar, they were easily one of the best we've ever had. They practically melted in our mouths and were worth the visit all on their own. We had a fantastic Father's Day brunch at Sunday's Best to celebrate The Mister. The vibe was lively, fun, and welcoming. The service was wonderful from start to finish, attentive without being intrusive. For drinks, we ordered a Salty Dog, a mimosa, and the Dad's Pancake special Father's Day cocktail. All three were excellent. We started with the caviar pancake appetizer, which was a great way to kick off the meal. For our entrées, we ordered the smoked salmon toast and the chicken and waffles. Both dishes were outstanding. The smoked salmon toast was bright and fresh. I loved the hard boiled egg and dill. The chicken and waffles were a standout. The chicken was crispy and coated in a sticky, flavorful sauce that kept us coming back for more. The waffles were exactly what you want them to be. We really had fun with the decor here. It kind of had an Asian vibe to it, but it was pleasant and enjoyable, very clean. We had no complaints with the service. Our waiters were prompt and attentive, and responsive. Basically everything you would expect. The food was good in fact it was better than good. It wasn't anything that blows you away, but it also did not disappoint and as far as a brunch stop goes, you really can't beat a location like this. It's a solid choice. Very busy on a recent Father's Day. We were greeted and seated right on time for our reservation...while those without a reserved time faced a lengthy wait. Service staff is very active and in motion...covering a lot of ground. The hustle is appreciated...but it can also make the experience feel a bit rushed. Food was solid on all counts. Meats, eggs, breads/grains were good. Beignets were a bit different than my experience...but held their own against. Coffee was served warm and quickly went cold, with no offer to refill or warm. I've now been to this location 3x (not by my own choice) and each time it's been consistently horrible. The service is absolute trash. We ordered matcha drinks, one came out with a hair in it, we asked for a replacement, the waitress that brought it out had so much attitude when she set it at our table & stormed off. We didn't make a fuss about the drink, we just asked for a new one, you would have thought we were rude about it the way she acted. Then a few of us ordered the truck stop breakfast with poached eggs, none of our eggs were made to what I consider a poached egg (cooked white, runny yolk) they were like soft hard boiled eggs. So we ask for a replacement which then comes out on a bed of lettuce already cracked so the yolks is more on the lettuce & plate than in the egg. At no point after we got our food did we get asked if we wanted more drinks, if we needed salt/pepper/hot sauce/butter for any of our items. Then the check came without asking if we needed wanted anything else, it was more of a hint to hurry up & leave. Food has been subpar, service doesn't make up for it. We ended up at Sunday Best because pancake house has a super long wait and it was the BEST thing that could have happened. The food was amazing!! Their menu had plenty of options so you can go sweet AND savory. I highly suggest getting the Powered Sugar Beignets w/ Raspberry Jam!! Steak and Eggs came with a side of potato crisps that were perfectly seasoned. The estimated the wait to be 20-30 minutes and we were seated in 15. Our waitress Neah was wonderful!! She was constantly refilling drinks and checking in on us. Overall the service was pretty quick for a busy Sunday morning. The inside is so cute and inviting!! It had the essence of a pink flamingo. Racist restaurant. If you are a person of color, do not go. My husband and I went there on Saturday morning with our two-year-old child and my 65-year-old parents. We did not have a reservation and arrived around 8:30 a.m. The staff told us we would have to wait two hours to be seated because we did not have a reservation. At that time, however, there were many empty tables inside the restaurant. I asked why we could not sit at one of the empty tables, and they said all of them were booked. I asked, "Are you sure? Every single empty table is booked?" They said yes. They told us to come back around 10:30 or wait nearby in case someone canceled and a table opened up earlier. I also asked if we could sit outside. They said the outdoor seating area was not open yet and would not open until 9:30. Because my young child was very hungry, I decided to wait. We were standing inside the restaurant, but the staff told us we had to wait outside. So we did. All of us stood outside, including my 65-year-old parents. After a while, I saw a white couple go inside. I clearly heard them say they did not have a reservation, but they were seated inside immediately. After waiting for an hour, we were finally seated outside at around 9:30. However, when we got outside , I noticed there were already customers sitting at tables and being served food. That means they have been seated for a while. I was very angry, but I did not want to ruin the day for my child and my parents, who did not fully understand what had happened. But we were definitely treated unfairly. we will never come back to this racist restaurant. read more

We really wanted to like this place! Hostess was nice and got us a tablet for a group of 8 with just a 5 minute wait on a Saturday morning. They sat us outside and waitress was very pleasant. The music was crazy loud outside and we had a hard time hearing our group talk. We asked if they could turn the music down a bit, but it never happened. For the food: we ordered Eggs Benedict (good), chicken and waffles (ok), truck stop breakfast (ok), steak and eggs (overpriced), breakfast tacos (ok). Our first visit was wonderful, and we even remarked that this might be our new go-to brunch spot. Unfortunately, our most recent visit for Mother's Day was the complete opposite. The service was uncomfortable and unpleasant, as we felt constant pressure to add extra items, making upselling seem like the priority rather than the dining experience. The server repeatedly pushed appetizers and suggested add-ons for nearly every dish without clearly explaining the additional charges. Even when we asked for recommendations, each dish came with an upsell (as suggestion to add something else to the dish), making us question whether the dishes were sufficient on their own. My wife was encouraged to add avocado to her Eggs Shakshuka, which turned out to be a $4 upcharge for half an avocado. I was ordering the Breakfast Burrito, which already includes bacon and several other ingredients, yet the server repeatedly encouraged me to add chorizo. When I finally asked if there was an extra charge, she confirmed there was. At that point, I became annoyed and changed my order to the fried rice, which I had enjoyed on a previous visit. The server then said the fried rice didn't come with a side and asked if I wanted to add fruit or something else. Based on prior experience, I knew the portion was already more than sufficient, as I hadn't even finished it on earlier visits. A few minutes later, the server returned and oddly asked, "Can I take your side dish, since you didn't order any appetizers?" - which felt both strange and an unnecessary comment. Our food was delivered by a different staff member. As we were taking our very first bite, the original server interrupted and said, "Now that you've taken a couple of bites, I just wanted to check how your food tasted," which felt awkward and poorly timed. We told her we'd let her know once we had actually taken a bite. Overall, this was not the experience we expected, and it's unlikely we'll be returning anytime soon. read more

Literally top 5 worst food places I have ever been to in my life. I actually regret not eating at Ihop or Denny's. I would give a -5 if I could. We were stuck outside in the hot ass claustrophobic tent with heaters on. It was a million degrees. Unused silverware stored in filthy conditions. The health dept needs to check it out. Service is literally nonexistent. Sat and waited 20 mins for drink order to be taken. Then another 10 for drinks. Then another 15 mins for the order to be taken. The sun was blasting our faces. We asked to be moved inside but were told no. The other tables in the tent were vacant and left uncleaned after use with filthy dishes and whatever. We moved to one of the dirty tables somewhat in the shade. Food was average at best. Waited for a coffee refill that never came. No water. Had to go to the front to have someone give us the check. Have no clue why this place is packed other than maybe the aesthetic inside. Bathroom was a mess with no toilet paper. The absolute worst place we have been to in a looonnnng time. read more

Now, let me be clear. ALL of this caught my attention and stole my heart, *before they even brought me my food*. We got the monkey bread, the breakfast burrito, and the seared ahi. Each and every item was a nice blend of textures and flavors, and definitely filling! The monkey bread was deliciously slathered in icing, but was not soggy or overly sweet. It was like a cinnamon roll's cool older cousin. My husband's ahi tuna was fresh, with a bite of acid from the yuzu soy sauce. His avocado was perfectly ripe. Over a 1 hour wait with no reservation but I'm glad we stuck around for this meal since options are limited in the area. The customer service was mediocre. He came over with our check and thought we were done ordering, but we weren't, so that was strange. Side note: I wasn't expecting female servers in tiny shirts exposing their midriff while I eat my brunch. I had the spicy chicken sandwich which wasn't too bad and it had good flavor, but the bun was sad. The fries were good. The breakfast burrito and the salsa it comes with is good, but the burrito is small. I could've gone without ordering the side of sourdough toast, it came with what looked like a homemade raspberry jam that was unique. The "mimosa experience" was a whopping $60. I know the champagne isn't anything expensive/fancy so to charge that much is outrageous. But at least they had a lot of juice flavor options. $7 for a mimosa by itself and you can mostly just taste the juice. The prickly pear and blood orange are delicious. The bathroom is a fire hazard. Nearby parking was kind of scarce, but we circled the block and ended up parking near Subway. Just from looking at their menu, I must say that we were not their target demographic. We had a really disappointing experience at the Eras Drag Brunch. After buying tickets in advance, we stood in line for over an hour, only to be seated in a corner with a poor view of the show. When we politely asked if we could move, we were told no--yet we saw other guests being allowed to choose or change their seats. That inconsistency felt unfair and frustrating. The staff came across as dismissive and didn't make any effort to address our concerns, which made the experience even worse. This place is great for ambiance and ambiance only. The service is okay, but they don't go above and beyond. The food is tasty, but it is insanely expensive for what you get. You can see in the picture that the avocado was browning and not fresh on the Eggs Benedict. For the price, I would expect fresh avocado. Sadly, I will not be back. read more

The decor is very nice and peaceful. Definitely a good place for brunch with friends and family. All workers are always in a great mood and seem like they definitely enjoy being there. As for the food, its great. Waffles are fluffy by crispy and the the French toast has just the right thickness for bread. Chicken is cooking just right. Your get that right proportion of chicken to rest of dish as well as keeping it crispy. And the sweetness with the syrup enhances it. Dont expect too much spice with the spicy chicken sandwich.
