This is one Amazing and definitely Worth the trip to visit and try. There is plenty of parking with Handicap Parking with easy access to the restaurant. We visited for the first time and were impressed with the size and design that has different areas for seating and dining. It was quite busy when we arrived and yet we were sat immediately. Our server was up and beyond excellent. We were served our water and utensils and asked if we would like drinks and an appetizer before the meal. We accepted the offer and we let the server decide what our appetizer would be, since they would know what was best. The server brought us out a good sized slice of Zucchini bread with salted whipped butter and a danish and then took our order. We decided to have the server get us two meals of their choice that they thought would impress us most. He asked if we were interested in breakfast or a lunch choice? We gave him full control of our meals. The server brought us our drinks, my wife ordered a coffees and a mimosa and I just had coffee and water. When our meals were brought out to us, they were brought to us in a very timely fashion or manner and were very impressively plated and the presentation was great for a meal that was not too expensive. The food was excellent and very tasty and our server brought me a breakfast choice and my wife a lunch item and they were great choices. They again were well plated, well prepared and presented, the perfect temperature and tasted amazing. I am amazed at how well the service went and without being overly bothersome, they only checked on us twice and then left us alone to enjoy our meal. We had to at the end of our meal ask for more of the zucchini bread to go, because it tasted so good and was amazingly delicious. We ordered the largest loaf of zucchini bread I've ever seen and then we got a small bucket or a quart of their choice salted butter to go with it. The food is fairly priced, well proportioned, prepared to perfection and served by top tier service employees. I will not be mentioning what we ate because I feel that you readers need to try something that would impress you. Now the restaurant was very clean and was very open and airy. Plenty of room to sit and stretch as you eat. There were three different eating areas. One was the outside front deck facing the Main Street. The other was was the main dining room that also had higher tables and chairs that were located in the main entrance and I assume that they were more for those that were there for coffee and a quick snack. Then they have a big atrium that was very nice and spread out. I would recommend this restaurant and it's excellent employees and service to anyone that want a meal that can be quick and speedy, a lunch or breakfast meal and just a lunch date or for an office meeting or gathering. I suffered a burn from one of them, so please learn from my mistake and be extremely cautious. My sister and I are visiting from California and wanted a hearty breakfast. This place has a cafe feel with full restaurant service. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. We split the multigrain waffle and croissant sandwich with potatoes and the waitress had cut the sandwich in half for us without us asking. The food itself was incredible. The waffle was thin and crispy with fresh fruit and a tasty whip cream. The croissant sandwich had everything you'd want. The crispy red potatoes on the side were perfectly seasoned. Our recent visit to Oasis Cafe left us feeling a little disappointed. My husband had eaten here a few months ago and was really excited to bring our family back after enjoying the coffee and the amazing flavors in his breakfast burrito. I ended up getting the breakfast sandwich (7/10, I wish it had a little more flavor) and my bf got the Eggs Benedict Florentine with smoked salmon (8/10). Oasis Cafe has great food and a solid menu, but the experience was frustrating this time around. The wait was outrageously long, even beyond what we were quoted, and it really put a damper on the visit. Parking is also a nightmare and adds to the stress before you even walk in. Once seated, the food was good which is why I'm still giving it 3 stars, but between the long wait and terrible parking, it's hard to fully enjoy. This is actually one of my favorite cafe to go to when the weather is nice out. It's unbelievable how it's always busy! I've never been here when it wasn't a busy day. The salmon or eggs Benedict are usually my go to. The food and drink prices are some of the best in salt lake. What really is unfortunate is the service. I've never had good service at this restaurant. This last time 1/16 really takes the cake. My server didn't even really want to acknowledge me. Even once he did greet me his only words were a mumbled "are you ready to order"? He's an older bald gentlemen. The entire time I ate until I was ready to pay I did not interact with him. I had to get up and pay for my meal at the front desk. They couldn't find my ticket and only then did he place it down beside me. They have a beautiful patio in the summer. The metaphysical bookstore is always a treat to peruse while you wait though the wait is never terribly long. I wish they had more vegan and vegetarian options. I ordered the hash and they graciously subbed the eggs for tofu but it lacked seasoning and the potatoes weren't the freshest. I love the bookstore, Golden Braid Books, attached to this cafe. The vibes here are really nice, it's very new-agey/hippy/crystal shop. The food selection here is good, big and small options, lots of gluten-free stuff, healthy options with upscale flavor combos. Real goat cheese and arugula type fare. There's also a great drink selection here, the beverage menu is longer than the food menu. There's an entire alcohol menu that even includes cocktails; my most recent discovery is the Dizzy Gillespe made with local kombucha and basil - so good! My one gripe that continually plagues Oasis brunch visits is the extremely slow service. Somehow my party always manages to get sat with a slow waiter, and we watch in frustration as tables sat after us are served food while we wait for our drink order to be taken. This definitely takes some stars out of it for me, if this didn't happen so frequently I think I'd eat here a lot more. Overall good and worth a try! read more

The interior and exterior were very cute, and the place was packed with people, so I assume they are popular for their non-vegetarian options. I ordered the pancake, a breakfast burrito, and the hummus platter. The pancake was pretty good -- very fluffy and a bit reminiscent of cornbread. The hummus platter was decent. The burrito, however, was the main reason for my three-star rating. It was watery, lacked flavor, and the texture was just soggy. I wasn't a fan of this dish at all. I'm also particular about water, and theirs did not taste good. It might have been the piping or just regular tap water, but it was unpleasant. We've been there twice now when we travel through Salt Lake City. The food was excellent and unique. I love the Udon peanut pasta. My son Had the Salmon, which was also great. The drinks were very inexpensive compared to must other cities I visit. We were so full that we did were unable to try any of the desserts. My criteria for a good breakfast place starts with the coffee and Oasis Cafe has the watered down variety. The second of my criteria is the quality of the eggs, since eggs are a prominent ingredient in most breakfast dishes. The over easy eggs I had were solid, but the eggs in the kid's breakfast as well as the eggs in the breakfast sandwich appear to be the pre-mixed plastic bag kind you might find at a fast food joint. The bacon was good and the potatoes above average. As for the breakfast sandwich it does not compare to the croissant sandwich you can get at Eva's Bakery, but it is serviceable. The red onion is cut thick and the rawness of it can overpower the sandwich. The third of my criteria is the attentiveness of the service. The service was friendly but not sufficiently attentive. An empty coffee mug at a breakfast restaurant is a cardinal sin! The menu itself is quite short and while I generally appreciate places with small menus as it is a sign of their commitment to excellence, Oasis Cafe should consider expanding the menu. There are far better options in the area for breakfast & brunch, but for a large group this may be a decent option. read more

The chai was huge and a great deal at $5. It also tasted delicious. The grilled cheese was nothing special but I did enjoy their soup of the day which was a beef and vegetable soup. I get lunch to-go every couple of months. I either get the breakfast sandwich or the oasis breakfast. The sandwich is with a croissant and it's always so buttery and flakey. It comes with a side of breakfast potatoes and those are always perfectly roasted. The oasis breakfast comes with eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and toast. Both are a great size for what you pay. You'll get a lovely coffee smell in the early mornings. The dining area has great natural light as it's surrounded by windows. They also have two lovely patios. Service is always great. They are friendly and thoughtful. Golden Braid Books is connected to the waiting area and is a nice place to look around in while waiting for your food.
