Pair that with their sangria (so good) and it makes for the perfect night out. What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. We went for a friend's birthday party! Immediately went to yelp to see where Pizza's looked good I came across the Hulk and quickly made my decision. The pizza was delightful and extremely fresh. The avocado was perfectly ripe so when I took a bite of the pizza, the avocado would split very nicely. I would 100% give this a try again. As for the dessert, it was very average. I would not recommend eating their desserts here as it's more of a pizza place in my opinion if you're gonna get a dessert, I would check out some other places. read more

Went here with 6 friends on my birthday. My girlfriend has celiac disease and this place is so incredibly accommodating for that! First time to this location and it was a good experience! Wait time wasn't too bad and the hostess kept our group informed of timing, especially since we came at a busier time. Service was pretty good for our party of 6. Order: California Sunrise, Cardiac Arrest, Pua'a Luau, Hot Honey Dip, The Hulk, Buffalo Chicken pizzas, Citrus Morita Dry Rub wings, calzone (not sure which one). All items were delicious, well made, and did not lack in flavor. There was enough to share and take some home for a midnight snack. While I didn't have any of the beers available, those that did enjoyed the few they did try. The menu is not so large where you may take a minute to order, but there is something even a picky eater can choose. The only thing I would say could have been better is the seating. While the table fit 6 people, the 6 people would have to be smaller in size to fit well. And seeing that we all ordered our own pizzas and we were trying to fit all the things on this table, it really didn't work in our favor. I sat partially off the table because I am not smaller in size and felt in the way of the staff that needed to move around the already crammed area in the back of the restaurant. Crispy, no breading, perfect amount of sauce. We got several pizzas and they were all great. The crust is crispy with those glorious bubbles. We asked for "well done" pizza because we love a little extra char. One kid got "It Tastes Like Burning" and rated it a 6/10 on the heat factor. The other kiddo got "Cuban Pizza Crisis" with red sauce and was a huge fan. The Mister and I split "From the Earth" and we loved it. Our service was awesome. Everyone is so friendly. I'd had this spot bookmarked for a while and finally decided to give it a try with friends. I ordered the Southern Comfort pizza and the char-tipped roasted pork chili verde nachos. The pizza was solid. It was a nice balance of sweet BBQ with savory chicken. The thin crust had a great char on the edges too. The nachos on the other hand, were a huge portion (definitely enough for 3-4 people), but I wasn't a big fan. There wasn't much pork, and some of the chips were overly burnt, which made them hard to enjoy. I think they would've been better with more of the black bean corn salsa and a bit more pork overall. Overall, the nachos were a miss for me but the pizza was tasty. I'd come back again to try more of their pizzas! read more

The food is incredible here!! We had a party of twelve (most being visiting family from out of state) and every single person LOVED their meal! Even my extremely picky daughter claimed the pizza to be "the best!" First time here today and it was FANTASTIC! The pizzas were all pretty interesting-- even a thanksgiving one (November special) -- turkey/ stuffing/ mashed potatoes! We weren't too hungry, so my husband and I just shared one. We decided to try The Italian job. I have to admit, I'm not very adventurous -- and a pep and mushroom kind of girl. Hubby is a Hawaiian pizza guy. But we wanted to be brave and try and OMG -- this was AMAZING! I have never even tried a pepperoncinis and I usually say sauce on the side but -- we kept it as is! I was shocked how well all of it went together! I was even adding the pepponcinis that fell off my slice into my bites! I always thought they were spicy but it not. AND ...There was a creamy herb vinaigrette on top --I want a bottle of it! It was just the right zest to finish off the flavors in the pizza. Now we definitely want to come back and try others. We trusted the creators of these pizzas and this one was a win! Hopefully we find more. BTW- you can get on the waitlist on Yelp (there was no wait for lunch today). I was in town visiting friends and they always talk about Slackwater. I really enjoyed my experience. The food is good and tastes fresh. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the half Caesar salad. The salad is good, just a basic Caesar. The pizza is delicious and I like how light the crust is. I usually don't eat crust but I ate this crust. My friends ordered the garlic bread, which is good. Fantastic pizza! Actually my favorite pizza! Been to four of their locations around Utah all of the are great! Also great service! Cole was our server recently and I have to say after coming to slack water dozens of times over the years he stood out as the best! Quick and attentive. With ordering and drink refills Cole was on top of it! We love the monkey dressing(ranch) so we always order a few of those it's happened a few time that we have to ask for them after the pizza comes but he actually brought them before so we were ready to go when the pizza came out! I got the most fav California pizza and my partner got the Hulk and we shared the citrus morita wings. Both pizza came with avocado which was weird but so delicious. The first bite was getting hit with a combo punch of flavors! The wings had a little kick but enough to keep going, one thing I would recommend is asking for ranch on the side it was missing some lol. I love this restaurant we have been here many times and had very great experiences the food here is great the atmosphere is great. And the service has always been amazing except for today. Me and my wife went here on a Sunday morning for brunch with our daughter. The hostess tried to seat us a small 2 seat table with our daughter in a high chair. We voiced our concerns on having the high chair in the middle of the isle. The hostess then moved us to a booth which would still require the high chair in the busy isle. The place was mostly empty and there were plenty of open tables that we could have sat at that would not require the high chair be in the main isle of the restaurant. We ended up leaving. Slackwater Pizza was amazing! I went with my boyfriend and we both loved our pizzas. I got the Hot Honey Double Pepperoni and he had a buffalo-style pizza--both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also got drinks, and the total for two pizzas and two drinks was about $28, which felt like a really good deal. Yay for a new Slackwater location! You've got us covered from Ogden all the way to Herriman with two locations in between. I love Slackwater and have been coming to their SLC/Sandy locations for a few years now, so I was excited to check out the new Herriman location. It's a great location in Herriman, with a big dining area (although I don't think as big as Sandy/SLC?) and the garage doors to let in the fresh air. Excited to see this area develop more! Our server was wonderful and so attentive. And another server even stopped by and greeted me when I walked in and when I sat down and was so friendly! I didn't get their names, but both were amazing! Thank you for being so warm, welcoming, and attentive. Strawberry Salad Special: I got their summer strawberry salad today and it was delicious - strawberries, cucumbers, shallots, cheese, a delicious poppyseed dressing. It was the perfect summer salad. Nachos: I'm vegetarian and my friend is gluten free, so we were able to get the nachos with the pork on the side, which made it both gluten free & vegetarian! The nachos had good flavor, however they were really soggy from the chili verde sauce I believe? I wanted to like them more, but we didn't finish them because most of the chips in the middle were totally soggy from the sauce. Also - not a huge deal because I'm not a huge stickler, but even though we asked for pork on the side, there were still a few bits of pork in the nachos as well so just be cautious if you're vegetarian. I always enjoy coming to slack water. Walked in on a Sunday and got seated right away. Tiny esses ordered! Taste like drinking skittles! Ordered cáprese appetizer and it was really good! They use some of their pizza dough for the bread part. And it's delicious, flavor of the dough is kind of like sour dough type. Made me wonder if they use a starter for the pizza dough! Iron horse pizza was really good. I like the flavor of the crust. I got a Caesar salad and felt it was little soggy but it had good flavor. Husband ordered a house salad with chicken and was massive and he also said was really good Sorry only got pictures of my drink! Waiter was also very nice! Everyone we encountered was friendly. Outside I would say wait until they build more or add grass. The sandy location has a nice out doors. But this location because it's new, trees aren't established. read more

We are at Slackwater for the first time tonight. The food was delicious. Best pizza crust in town! I ordered the You'll Be Stuffed Sticks and we were! We had leftovers! The server brought us a take home box and I filled it with the leftover 'sticks'. Unfortunately, I left them on the table. We noticed this mistake about 5 min after we left. We returned to get them immediately, but they had already reseated the table and disposed of our leftovers. It was completely our fault, but they insisted on replacing them with a whole new order of 'Sticks'. We pleased that it was unnecessary, but they insisted. Great customer service!!
