If you're a fan of creatively flavored burgers, Stack was made for you. They have a long list of fun flavor combinations -- some of which I've never seen before. Truthfully, my expectations were very low. So I was ecstatic when the food tasted as good as it did. I loved my Bahn Mi burger and my brother couldn't get enough of the Mozzarella Burger. We also tried the queso and the Brussel sprouts and both were adequate. The burgers are the true heroes! The reason for the missing stars is because the service was very very poor and our table was not clean. We went in around 3 PM on a Saturday with minimal diners inside and we waited to be seated and served like it was a busy Friday night. The restaurant is very small but it also seems to be understaffed. We almost left twice -- once when we were waiting to be seated (we were told 5 minutes and waited nearly 20 with no additional communication) and then again when we were seated at our table and weren't serviced for 10+ additional minutes and we saw how dirty it was. (Writing this, I am shocked we stayed.) Despite the mediocre service, I will go back to try another burger. Which is saying something! read more

Stack 571 was ok. The ambiance was decent. We sat down outside and it took a bit of time for someone to take our order. The menu had a good variety of things and was easy to navigate...I ended up ordering the slider sampler. It came with three huge sliders, a side, and a drink for $20 so it was a really good deal. I got the banh mi, sow, and pb&j. Honestly, the pb&j burger is the only one worth it to get. Their truffle Parmesan fries were good but nothing too special. My husband got the poutine burger, which was very bland. Overall, the burgers were on the dry, lukewarm side and the only good burger was the PB&J one. We also got the queso fundido, but it was strange... the texture was like hummus or beans, and it was very disappointing. I felt the food was overpriced for the quality. Their happy hour is every day from 3-6pm and the price was decent for the offerings on it. Lots to improve before we consider coming again. read more

Had heard good things about Stack. Coming highly recommended and with my son's basketball tournament close by we stopped in for lunch. It's a nice spot in a growing area, trendy strip mall. Fun whiskey bar vibe, but good for the whole family. My first impression was that it was a bit spendy for burgers, $18 to $20. But once you dig into it you understand why. First it comes with fries or beer battered onion rings and the quality is very apparent. I'd call it a good value. We started with the Nashville Chicken Wings, our server said they were a little on the hot side as they come with jalapeño slaw. Might have been just this batch but there was very little heat. But the flavor was amazing, and they come out crispy, just the way I like them. My son said they are the best wings he's ever had, and he really likes wings. 5/5 I tried the Burger Dip, Dutch crunch roll, caramelized onions, bit of a garlic and cheese. Our server and a friend recommended and it was very good. Comes with herb au jus to dip. I'm not a big dip sandwich guy, but this was great. Big enough for two, cooked to requested temperature perfectly. 5/5 My son ordered the kids hamburger, they let him add bacon ($3) for no charge, came with fries, drink, and a small sundae. Unfortunately there were a ton of flies around each table outside - not sure if this normal, but maybe some fly traps would be nice to have so that guests don't have to constantly swat at the flies coming for their food. The service was pretty slow and our server kept forgetting parts of our order, I'm sure they were just overwhelmed since there were more tables than servers. The tables that didn't have people sitting in them did not get cleaned the entire time we were there. When the food finally arrived, it was pretty good and flavors were on point. Dining should be laid back and have good value, this restaurant is a perfect example of this. My husband and I don't eat out much if ever anymore with the increase cost and having a few children and on this very rare night we literally came across this place walking around. This area has an abundance of choices and I'm so glad we found this one. We chose to sit outside in the setting sun. We started off with their Nashville chicken wings that were the perfect texture and crunch, I felt they weren't too spicy where I'm usually a wimp. I chose the blackened salmon sandwich with Parmesan truffle fries and my husband got the monthly special the Jimmy burger with waffle fries. We couldn't have asked for better service, our server was on point with everything and suggested a great honey old fashion my husband really enjoyed as a beer guy. My fave thing about this place are the tempura oyster mushrooms - AMAZING! They aren't over-battered and are fried perfectly. The truffle taste makes them even better. It does not come with sauce, so I typically ask them for a side of each sauce they got. The Slider Sample Combo is such a great deal. I got the 571, poutine, and banh mi. They aren't that mini for a slider so it definitely fills you up! Also, it comes with fries/salad AND a full size shake! Nice value for all that food. I got the full size PB & J burger, lettuce wrapped. I greatly appreciate them accommodating my lettuce wrap request. The burgers were nice and juicy! hostess was unhelpful tonight. my family and I were excited to try this restaurant for the first time, it was Saturday night. It was busy but not a packed house.(many tables open) we tried to make a reservation before, but that's not a service they offer. We went up to the hostess and asked to be put on the list. she gave us a 40 minute wait time. we wait for about 20 minutes and I go to see the hostess as I noticed there were at least 7-8 tables that were open that would fit our party size. I kindly ask if there is any way to make anything work to move us up as we had movie tickets for that night and we're on a timeline. the hostess then told me that the wait was an hour. then called another party, that was on the list after us. If you're a burger and whiskey person, this is up you're alley! The environment in the restaurant is clean and bright. I love the look of their bar and the garage look. I tried the truffle burger. I would describe all their burgers as heavy, flavorful, and just the ultimate burger. I can hardly finish the full burger. All the burgers come with a fry option: regular, waffle, or Parmesan (Parmesan with an up charge). I don't think you can go wrong with any burger choice. The crispy brussel sprouts appetizer was really good! My favorite part was the carmelized onion and kimchi puree. It brought a uniqueness to the appetizer. I also really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes appetizer however the batter kind of took over the green tomatoe. The part that made it a nice take to the dish was fresh cherry tomatoes were added to help balance the fried heavy part of it. I just wish the batter was lighter. My choice of cocktail was Godfather. I thought it was going to come out as some type cocktail mix, but it came out as Old Fashion's sister. Regardless I like whiskey and it was still good and strong! My husband said his burger was a 3, but my caprese grilled cheese had almost no flavor and the bread crumbles like a crouton so it just turns to crumbs and makes a huge mess. During our visit to Utah to see the kids and grandkids, we stopped by Stack 571 Burger & Whiskey for a quick lunch. Parking was a breeze, which was great since the restaurant shares a lot with other businesses. As soon as we walked in, a friendly host greeted us and showed us to our table. I ordered a Whiskey Sour, and my wife chose a Huckleberry Smash. The server asked to check our IDs, which seems to be a common practice in Utah, unlike what we're used to in California. Anyway, the server then took our food orders. I went for the Tempura Oyster Mushrooms with parmesan and truffle oil, and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, while my wife picked the Burrata Caprese Salad. I should have came hungrier. I could not finish it. I ate mid afternoon and should have waited a few more hours. I got the waffle fries which were tasty. One thing I like about this store is they everything they can source local from meat, to beer, to cheese. It's all locally sourced. I didn't fact check this but they list it near the hostess desk. We got drinks, the drinks were VERY well made. Burgers came out, that Burger Dip is one of the best casual dining plates I've ever had. The waffle fries were good. My wife and I shared our plates so I also had the PB&J burger. It was very good, pretty much how you would hope it would taste. The ingredients they use are high quality, the cooks seem to actually care. But the place was LOUD and happy sounding, it's fun. If you are touchy and want a quiet place, this is not for you, the place was busy and loud and fun, a lot of people drinking and laughing and eating. I definitely will want to come back when I visit the SLC valley region again. I've been to Stack 571 a handful of times now. The best time I've been is later night after a movie at Cinemark. This is a peaceful time for dining on the outside patio and you get quicker service than some of the busier times! For example, most recently we checked in with hostess a bit after 7, we were seated 25 ish minutes later, and our food took another half hour at least to come out. We almost missed the start of a movie. It was very busy on a Friday night. But our server was awesome as usual here and he expedited my side salad since I'm a starving pregnant woman. Another time after our movie about an hour or less before closing we got seated on the patio on a warm night and got our burger right away. Hot, fresh, and delicious. I think this was a Sunday night. The food has never been a miss. Most recently I did the build your own sampler of sliders so I could try both the pb&j and banh mi. The banh mi was so good if you love Vietnamese food flavors and some spice. I wasn't as excited about the pb&j after trying it. The truffle burger with fried mushrooms is another favorite of ours. And the truffle Parmesan fries are delicious. This place is a solid choice before or after a movie night. Just make sure to account for busier times! read more

Their special sauce is made with mayo, ketchup, garlic and I'm not a fan of sauces. The meat could be seasoned a bit more but overall, it was a great burger. I ordered a martini type drink. With this being Utah, I was concerned my liquor would be watered down I took the first sip, and boy, it tastes like home! Full alcohol serving. Super quick seating at 12 on a Wednesday. Waiter easily answered all our questions and gave recommendations for every palate. My friend's daughter got a chocolate shake and was a little frustrated that she couldn't drink it through the straw right away but once it started to melt she said it was really really good and she liked the chocolate chips in it. My friend got the 571 burger and said it was pretty good. My other friend got the Burger Dip with no au jus because the burger itself sounded good and she said it was but she wished it had more caramelized onion on it. And I felt similarly about my PB&J burger. The burger was literally dripping grease but had the thinnest possible smear of peanut butter and jelly on it. If I order a PB&J burger, I want to be able to taste the PB&J. And if it's so greasy it's gonna drip, maybe dripping jam would be a more pleasant experience anyway! The meat was cooked nicely and tasted good and I really liked the gluten-free bun as well. The fries were fine and I did not like the sauce that came with them. I thought it was too mustardy? My friend said it tasted like tartar sauce? And as a Utahn I am not into ketchup on my fries so both options were bad. If I come back I'll pay more for a salad on the side. read more
