My husband loves Sushi. We decided to try Sake. If you love it too you must eat here. First the ambience. It reminds me of a small Japanese Restaurant in SanFrancisco. It is so clean and the wait staff so polite and quiet. He had three rolls. He asked the Chef to surprise him with one and he said hands down that was his favorite. It is not on the menu but I have found when asked they often will make you something that is not in the Menu if they can. So try them out if you haven't. You mouth will be rewarded.
Very happy I found this hidden gem! They have a great selection of rolls and nigiri. We had a sunshine roll and the nigiri were both delicious. For appetizers we had some tempura, which wasn't too heavy, and mussel shoots. The atmosphere is busy, but not too loud and a feels a bit cozy. Can't wait to come back!
Great spot hidden in a strip mall!! The inside is dimly lit and we'll decorated. The service is quick - we were surprised at how quickly our appetizes and then meals came out. My father says the muscle shooter was the best he's ever had. Everything we ate was beautiful which is nice because you eat with your eyes first. For appetizers; Don't skip out on the tacoyaki even though it sounds odd - it is rich and savory tapioca like consistency in a crunchy shell with octopus. Simply splendid. The seaweed salad has exceptional sesame flavor (not too fishy.) The sushi was fresh and we tried many nice flavors and textures. We enjoyed every roll we tried. We'll definitely recommend this place to friends and return when we're in the area!

From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting ambiance that blends traditional Japanese decor with a modern twist. The soft lighting, cozy seating, and elegant wooden accents create a perfect setting for both a casual meal and a special occasion. The open kitchen adds an exciting energy, letting you see the chefs in action as they prepare your meal with precision. It's a place where you can truly relax and enjoy a delicious dining experience.
Another really good dinner at Sake. Made a dinner reservation for 5:00 pm on a Saturday night and the place was much busier that we had experienced before. Our table was ready when we arrived and the food we ordered came out so quickly. I had the chirashi which had a nice variety of sashimi. Cuts of the sashimi was a little uneven but everything tasted fresh and not fishy. Our other entrees were really good too.

Jade was our server and she was amazing. If you like plum wine I recommend the Hakutsuru. The hamachi was incredible, we love the Sakura Roll and Playboy. It's a quiet spot for 845 on a Saturday and we love that, this place is a neighborhood treasure.

The tempura was good, though I would personally suggest changing the type of tempura mix. However, the atmosphere could use some improvement--it feels too much like a cafeteria, and the lighting is overly bright.
I've been continuing my search for the best sushi rolls in the area and this place did not disappoint! We grabbed take out for dinner and enjoyed our meal. The Takoyaki with octopus was very good. It was my first time trying it but I was pleasantly surprised. For sushi, I got a Philly roll and Unagi roll. Both were the best I've had in the area yet, definitely fresh and worth the price point. We also tried the chicken teriyaki which comes with rice and steamed or tempura veggies. This was some of the best chicken teriyaki in the area that my partner has had so far. The veggie tempura was very good too, no wimpy pieces. Service was friendly, ordering online was a breeze and our food was ready at the quoted pick up time. I'll be back!

I had the tonkotsu ramen with added bok choy delivered and it was delicious. The broth was flavorful and the pork was tender and juicy. The egg was perfectly medium-boiled. The team thoughtfully packed the separate elements and the broth arrived still hot. I'll definitely be keeping it in the rotation and recommending to friends. read more

We thought Sake restaurant was OK. Our server was wonderful. The Tonkatsu Ramen broth was very bland. I ended up not finishing it. The egg was overcooked. I did enjoy the pork though. The sauce for the Gyoza was really fantastic. The sushi is about what you would get at Harmon's. Which is good. read more

Stopped in one night while visiting Utah because we didn't feel like cooking. The decor was adorable decked out for Valentine's Day! The lucky kitties with their waving paws were also very cute as well as the general restaurant decorum. The appetizers were top notch, the hot green tea was exceptional, and the sushi was such good quality fish and everything had very wonderful flavors. The plating and presentation was also stunning. Had no idea this place had existed 18 months ago. Was on DoorDash craving Ramen and this place delivered all the way out to where I live. Couldn't believe it! Ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and chicken karrage. Both were delicious and really hit the spot and satisfied my craving. Would love to dine-in and check it out in person as there are many items I need to try. read more
Discovered Sake during the pandemic and have thoroughly enjoyed satisfying our Japanese cravings with their katsu, curry, ramen, and sushi. We've tried a lot of dishes but our favorite is the chicken katsu (comes with generous portion of rice), katsu curry chicken, tempura appetizer. The ramen is good as well. The sushi is fresh and priced well and mostly has survived its takeout journey. (We only had one instance where one piece of sashimi was an unappetizing color.) Service has always been great. Easy to order on the phone, always ready for pickup when they estimate. They attend to all the details and have everything packaged well for no-leaking on the way home. Haven't dined in yet but they have a lovely restaurant that belies its location in the generic shopping center off Highland Dr. Would be great for a date night. read more

This place did not disappoint! Little hidden gem in a strip mall. Was looking for a Ramen place around Cottonwood Heights. The only place I would want to go to, is closed for lunch. I typically wouldn't go to a sushi restaurant and order Ramen. But this was such a great find. The staff are so friendly and super nice. They even gave us a complementary Gyoza. Gyozas were so good. The Tonkotsu Ramen is to die for. I added bok choy and shiitake mushrooms. The shiitake mushrooms are like a party in your mouth. I wasn't impressed with the Hamachi Carpaccio. It was a bit bland and needed something else. read more

I went to Sake Restaurant with a friend last week. We were craving Ramen but wanted to try somewhere new. I found this place on a quick search. It is beautiful inside, very clean. Staff was very attentive and quick to get our orders placed. I ordered a veggie sushi roll & it was pretty good. My friend tried the snow crab tempura roll. She loved the amount of tempura it had on it & would definitely recommend & get it again. I want to try a tempura roll next time. They seemed to have a couple vegetarian sushi options, which I appreciated. I ordered the veggie ramen. The broth didn't have a ton of flavor, which was a disappointment. I feel like the broth in ramen really makes or breaks it. I had to add soy sauce to this broth because it was really bland. It had so many bok choys in the ramen. I'm not a big fan of bok choy so that was all being pulled out. The menu wasn't really clear about what vegetables were included in this dish. The noodles were pretty good though. My friend ordered the Nabeyaki Udon. She also didn't love the broth in this, also having to add soy sauce for flavoring. She said the udon noodles were really yummy & chewy. We both noticed the soft boil eggs didn't seem like they were marinated in anything. I love adding an egg to my ramen because they are usually super flavorful. This was a little bit of a disappointment. Overall, I would check this place out for their sushi. I wouldn't recommend for the ramen or udon. read more
New restaurant in Sandy! Just open a few days ago and making good progress in openings new restaurants. First- lots of parking (located in a strip mall) Second- newly and tasteful decorated Third - Good service The Food : had sushi only : the rice and rolls done well I'm sure they may be expanding their menu and selections once they know more about their customers. We had- maki hamachi roll - done very well with some chopped green onions. Nigiri - tamago (egg) a bit firm and missing the flavoring from sweet dashi but ok- tobiko (fish eggs) was fresh and good. Their Mama Mia roll was excellent- a bit sweet due to the eel sauce but good combination of ingredients and we will order it again. We also tried the vegetable tempura good mix of squash - potatoes - carrot- onion- broccoli- a good combination and excellent dipping sauce. We'll be back to try their ramen and udon and any new dishes they may create. This restaurant is so new they haven't yet had their grand opening! They are open to Making custom rolls- just make your request and they may have the ingredients needed to fulfill yOur request! read more

Had a wonderful dinner here tonight. It's one of few sushi restaurants that have Ika shoyu on the menu and also do yakitori aka meat skewers with a nice char flavor and still cooked tender. The service was attentive, friendly and prompt and we were happy with all our sushi, appetizer and sashimi orders as well. The items came our timely and done right. We will definitely be returning again. The interior was surprisingly spacious, hard to tell from the outside of the shopping plaza. But inside it is clean, bright and ideal for having a get together with friends. A nice selection of beverages also from Japanese beers like Orion to plum wine and of course sake! Coming from Cali, we were hoping we could find good sushi during our trip. This place was amazingly good. I got the Sake Special (pictured) and my family had the dragon roll and the fire dragon roll. My daughter doesn't do sushi, but she does Ramen and she loved her Ramen. She got the tonkotsu, was very happy. Mochi was also a great wrap to the meal. We have this place saved for next time. read more

We had a wonderful waitress who helped my boyfriend get the roll he wanted and also gave us a treat for his birthday! Her name was Julie and she was amazing! However, 2 hours after eating the raw salmon and tuna my boyfriend was projectile vomiting which continued for hours. I had to take him to the hospital as he began to vomit blood. The doctors confirmed he had food poisoning from consuming the raw fish. Raw food is a risk always, but considering this is a ramen and sushi restaurant we did not expect him to need to be hospitalized after consuming this. I would be careful ordering anything raw from this place, as he was the sickest he has ever been from food poisoning, let alone sushi. A dinner date on his birthday ended up with hundreds of dollars in medical bills and lots of misery and pain. Save your money and eat somewhere that won't end in hospital bills and vomiting blood!! read more

Amazing sushi and ramen! If you're looking for delicious food, and to support a local Sandy restaurant, than this is your place. The outside is a bit unassuming, but once you step inside it's so cozy, modern and inviting. We went on a Thursday night and we were invited in directly to a booth (the place had a small crowd which we took as a good sign)! Once seated we both ordered drinks and then had: -Tuna Tataki small plate -Mussel Shooter small plate -Tonkotsu Ramen -Mama Mia Sushi Roll -Samurai Sushi Roll All of the food was AMAZING--lots of flavors, textures and very fresh fish. The service was prompt/friendly, and very attentive. We're so happy we found our new "go to" sushi and ramen restaurant! This is a must try for anyone in the area (or beyond)! read more
I love this place so much. This is my fourth time coming here and I always leave completely satisfied and happy with my experience. The sushi rolls are so yummy and we always pair it with the Katsu Chicken and steamed veggies. The sushi is fresh and flavorful with lots of different options to choose from. We usually go with the daisy roll, playboy, and Sake Special, but we have tried the other rolls as well and they are just as tasty! You can't go wrong with the Katsu Chicken either. Each time we have come it is made fresh to order. It comes out hot and perfectly crispy. You'll want to ask for more of the Katsu sauce because it is perfect. The service has always been great. Friendly to their customers, food came out quickly, and drinks always filled. The place is clean, quiet, and has a nice vibe to it. Definitely would always recommend this place. read more
