This place is great! I've gotten the meat lovers ramen in the past which is so yummy with the spice and extra protein but this time I wanted to try the sushi. I got the popular lemon one (starts with an S...) and the spicy tuna. The lemon one was recommended by numerous staff members and it was so worth the pick! Very refreshing and tasty, would 100% get again. I appreciated the staff being patient and giving good recommendations. Definitely a must try! read more

Went today for dinner with my daughter, it was a great day to end our day. Our server was very attentive and kind. I ordered some hamachi nigiri's, meat lovers ramen and the kids ramen for my lil girl. The vibe was very relaxing and chill. We'll definitely be back read more

I came to Toro with my kids, and the experience was solid. The ambiance was good, with nice seating, lighting, etc. It was charming & felt pretty cozy. We just didn't feel any warmth from the staff - which is totally fine and actually somewhat expected having been to ramen places around the world. It just feels different compared to other restaurants in the US. We went with Edamame, Gyoza, and Karaage Chicken for appetizers. They were fantastic. Varying sushi rolls and ramen for the main courses. As far as Utah ramen joints go - upper tier. I particularly enjoyed the Karai ramen. I definitely recommend giving Toro a try. read more

We love Toro! This is our go-to Japanese spot. We love the Sundance roll, katsu chicken, tempura veggies, other sushi rolls, and taro smoothie with boba! I literally just stop by to get that drink. The staff is always efficient and kind. Excited to try the ramen soon. read more

The food was delicious, the service was good. Had the Meat Lover Ramen with Think noodle. Very good! Highly recommmend

Needed a quick dinner and kinda wanted ramen and sushi so I found a spot that does both. I ordered the Tontkotsu Ramen with smoked salmon nigiri. The salmon was super fresh. The ramen was ok, the noodles were good. The broth was a little salty though but I usually have low sodium tolerance. Lots of parking in the plaza. read more

I'm so happy I found this hidden gem! I don't go to Bluffdale often but was near the area and was looking for a place for lunch. We went in kinda late, near 2pm, and the restaurant was pretty empty. We started off with some appetizers. The Hamachi Jalapeno was so fresh!! The combination with jalapeno and the yuzu miso sauce was amazing. It is a must-try! The portion of the seaweed salad was larger than expected, which was nice. The Toro ramen was pretty decent. I personally prefer a stronger-taste soup base. The short ribs, though, surprised me and were SO tender. The Karai Ramen was an interesting one. Tasted more like the Chinese dan dan noodles lol. Not the kind of Japanese spicy ramen I was hoping for, but it was still good. We also got a sushi roll, and it was yummy but nothing extraordinary. Overall, this restaurant has great food with reasonable prices and good service. Will definitely come back!! read more

This establishment offers the finest ramen experience I have encountered within Salt Lake County. The intimate and charming ambiance significantly enhances the overall dining experience. Both the ramen and sushi selections were highly satisfactory for our party of five. The service was impeccable, striking an ideal balance between attentiveness and allowing us ample space to savor our meal. read more

The service and food are amazing! Our order didn't take long for us to get our food! All the options are amazing and being from California definitely compares well with Japan town! read more

My family loves this place. Our favorite things are the gyoza, tempura shrimp, ramen with the blend broth. We also love their sushi. The family/servers that own and work here are always so nice. read more

Went here on a Friday night with a girlfriend. Since it's relatively new it wasn't too busy. We ordered the hamachi appetizer (super good!), bullet train roll and Vegas roll. All of it tasted very fresh and was well made! I love that the location is so close to my apartment in Bluffdale. The service was great and I'm looking forward to coming back to try the ramen. My only complaint is I tried to order a side of miso soup and that wasn't an option. But they had many other usual sides like seaweed salad, squid salad, vegetable tempura and edamame. read more

After living in this area for over a year, I finally got the chance to try Toro Ramen. The establishment is in the Porter Rockwell area, the restaurant itself is actually really small on the inside, but has a great view of the streets facing Porter Rockwell Blvd and 14600 S. I ordered the original ramen with tonkotsu broth, corn, and extra noodles and the Tokyo Roll. My friend ordered the shrimp tempura, chicken karaage, and vegetable tempura. I didn't get a picture of my ramen, but the broth was flavorful. I actually wished that they offered a spicy version of it. The Tokyo roll was my favorite. I feel like a lot of places don't have rolls with spicy scallop, so it was nice to see that on the menu. The tempura was good as well, it didn't get soggy while sitting out. I would actually pass on the karaage. I like the karaage is fried with potato starch or corn starch for a different texture. I felt like the karaage was a little too dry for my liking. I would come back here to try more rolls and because of how convenient the location is for me. read more

I love that you have choices here!! There are different ramen options and then several broth options. I got the spicy ground pork ramen with miso broth. I ordered to go. Once I arrived - it wasn't too busy - I didn't see a ton of spots to seat and looked like more people take out. They had everything in the bag and it was neatly packed. I liked the to-go containers because I've attempted soup to go before and the containers make it really hard to eat when you are staying in a hotel. This ramen was delicious. Lots of toppings and super flavorful. I'll need to come back and try other options! read more

Went with 10 people for lunch. We all sampled the sushi rolls and sashimi. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Portions were worth the fair price. Everyone was very satisfied and lived the food. We highly recommend this as a top sushi place. read more

One of My favorites!! Everything's cooked fresh to order, Service is awesome and really clean place to eat!

We came in as a large group of people and were seated right away. It's a little odd this place has a drive-through establishment and also has waiter service. At one point it was one waiter to like 5-6 tables. And I think what upset our group was that the orders came out very staggered. Everyone got their soups pretty fast but the sushi rolls came out about 30 minutes after the ramen bowls came out, which meant some people didn't get their food for a long while. They told us that it was due to there being only one sushi chef but when we saw that people who came in behind us got their sushi ahead of us, we knew they had forgotten about the order. It was a mess and pretty annoying. Food was otherwise fine and we appreciated that they could add and remove items from the ramen and that the soups were tasty. Just wish they weren't as disorganized with large groups. read more

This was a nice diversion from my usual sushi hangouts. Tried their Bluffdale which is a spicy crab topped with avocado, eel sauce, and some other stuff. The thin lime slices that top it makes it refreshing although a bit tart at times! Next time I'll remember a pic... was too hungry! Seems like they're known for the ramen but I'm not a fan of ramen bowls so can't comment on that! read more

Everything in the pics was good, I especially enjoyed the tonkatsu char sounds ramen, the soup was perfect for a cold winter day. The girl serving us was friendly and awesome, the place is clean and the ambiance was nice. The salmon nagiri was very good. So happy there's a great sushi and ramen spot in the Draper/Bluffdale area! We used to go to the Fort Union location, but now that this is closer to us, I'm all for it! The restaurant is a short drive from the freeway in a strip mall area so it's easy to go to. Plenty of parking. The restaurant is modern and has a sushi bar area, with a good number of table seating and TVs. It's a good spot to hang out. Service is great - their servers are very attentive and sweet, and the owner Tony is really friendly. They're pretty busy during dinner but we haven't had a time where we had to wait. I ordered from their sushi menu and tried the Hamachi Jalapeño appetizer and Funky roll. The app was really fresh and they didn't skimp on the slice :) My husband always gets their Meat Lovers ramen (the best), but I forgot to take a picture of it for this post. I also got the Sapporo Premium Black, which was a first time for me (usually just get the OG Sapporo) - and it was really smooth. Another great meal, Toro! Thanks! read more

Food tasted ok, just ok, for what seemed like a steep price. But the reason for the poor review is that 3 of the 4 people in our dining party woke up with the trots and mild stomach pains the next morning. I mean if you'd try a little harder, you could have given all four of us mild food poisoning. Slackers. read more

Service was ok. Food was ok. Group of 10 and refused to separate check. This is unacceptable with today's technology. Don't be lazy.

Sadly I think this place is going to be hit or miss. The first time we went it was a solid five stars. The food and service were great and we had no complaints. After going back for a second time I can't imagine we'll ever return. The service was awful and the sushi was on par with a gas station. Low quality tuna and cold appetizers which were meant to be hot and crispy. Not a good sign for a place located in a dark corner of a new development. read more

Ordered takeout and wasn't sure what to expect. Got the meat lovers ramen with the steamed buns. The ramen was really good, just wish they had a spicy version (had to add some Sriracha to make up for it). The quantity of food (and amount of noodles) was really good. The buns tasted much better than they looked. Would order again! read more

We had lunch here today at Toro Ramen and Sushi. We are always happy to support new business in town. We ordered Karai ramen, Toro ramen, and a Wasatch roll. Karai ramen: Good flavor, hot soup, but the broth needs a bit improvement. Tosh Ramen is a much better place. Toro Ramen: Good size, a bit too much soy sauce, beef is nice and tender. $15 price point is probably OK. Wasatch: this is actually the first dish that came out today. We were very shocked by the size and the cost. It costs $14 for a roll (see my picture), even more pricier than a Pretty Bird burger (if you live in Utah, you know those big fried chicken burger, $12 buck but huge). We are almost wondering did they serve the wrong dish? The taste of the roll is ordinary. I would probably give a 60 out of 100. Service-wise, the lady who served us seems not to care about our dining experience. She did not stop by at all to ask how we are doing. And it almost feels like she doesn't understand English too well (maybe the music is too loud?) Overall, ramen is probably OK to try and we do not recommend sushi rolls based on price and the portion. And if you must try this restaurant, be prepared for the less-than-perfect service. read more

Used to love this place, last couple times it's been beyond disappointing. Sushi tasted off, sauces were watered down compared to previous visits, karage was mainly skin and gristle.
