I've been going to Jinya for five years, and have gone to a tone of different locations! This one is my least favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was extremely loud and they seemed a bit frustrated when I needed to move tables and put noise canceling headphones in (I can still hear).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The noodles were undercooked and the ramen wasn't as good as other locations. I'll go back to Sugarhouse in the future!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]For what it lacks in space, this tiny restaurant makes up in flavor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Yes, it's tiny-but that adds to the communal charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are tables where you can sit with just your party, or there are larger tables that might seat a mixture of folks-what a fun way to get to know new people![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was outstanding-the server was friendly and attentive without being over the top. And I appreciate that he acknowledged my date's birthday celebration without making it weird (no clapping and singing here, thank you very much!) The food was delicious! I enjoyed a chicken rice bowl while my dining partner had a traditional ramen bowl. Everything came out as requested and tasted very good. Happy to come back and explore more of the menu items!

Overall, good experience. I had the Tonkatsu Red with a spice setting of 3 out of 8. Definitely hot enough for me. If you want it hotter, there is a container of hot spice on the table or counter. Good portions, char siu was good. The ajitsuke tamago or spiced egg was a whole egg. Nice that they give you a whole egg, but I wish it was cut in half. Eating a whole egg was a bit of a nuisance. The noodles were the straight kind, typical for a tonkotsu broth. Overall, very good. Not THE best I've had but definitely worthy of 5 stars. Service was cheerful. They greet you with "irasshai" (welcome) and a "domo arrigato" as you leave. All said in a gaijin (Caucasian) accent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice Asian-ish vibe in the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I sat at the ramen bar. There are small pots of gyoza sauce, spice, and hot sauce available. $17 for most of their bowls. Not cheap, but reasonably priced for market. Of course, they have other menu items as well. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]JINYA Ramen may be on the smaller side with a limited parking lot and a cozy dining room, but the flavors are anything but small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything we ordered was packed with bold, satisfying taste. The spicy chicken ramen was rich and comforting with just the right amount of heat, and the original pork ramen was deeply flavorful and well-balanced. Lunch specials are a great deal especially the crispy chicken dish, which was perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender inside. We also loved the gyoza, the crispy rice, and the eggplant each one delicious and well executed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the kind of place where every dish hits, making it worth the visit despite the tight space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Big flavor, great lunch options, and consistently solid food. Definitely coming back!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very clean and they have table seating and counter seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Original Tonkotsu and added corn. The noodles are thicker than I'm used too but they were cooked perfectly. The broth was stronger in flavor and was a little darker than I'm used to. The waiter was very helpful and answered my questions.

The food was delicious! We had an army full of appetizers. But the best dish was the garlic rice! Super flavorful, the fresh garlic cloves and egg. Ramen noodles was perfect! Service was great! She was very attentive and super kind! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was awesome, felt like I was in a restaurant in the small streets of Japan[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ramen is one of my favorite things in the world. If there's a chance to locate a place that serves it while I'm traveling for work, I will. JINYA is my current go-to in the Murray, UT area. I get there a few times a year for work and it's very close to my hotel. It's a small place. There's a little bar that faces the kitchen, where I've sat on my visits. The staff has always been really friendly and very attentive. The last time I went, I got a sake mojito -- it was unusual but really good! Okay, I got two. The ramen's great. The JINYA Tonkotsu Black is a favorite. I've also gotten some sides and all were good -- especially the sticky bun! The gyoza was also a good choice. Nice place all around and, like I said, it's become my go-to.

Me and my mom go here at least twice a year and the food is always so tasty. This time I ordered their Chef's Special Birria Ramen and I really liked it! I also ordered a sake mojito which was super yum.

I've been on the hunt for GOOD ramen since gaining in in Seattle and it's been tough, till tonight!!!!! This was incredible! [[HIGHLIGHT]]So glad for a hot date night!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Go go go! There was so many take out orders and a long long, so worth it!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing food, environment, and staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ramen is just delicious. Great list of options for food.

First timer. Went with the Tonkatsu Black (extra egg). Ran me about $25 including tip. Nice flavor. Solid thin noodle. On par pork and broth. Met expectation for an Utah based Ramen spot.

"Don't worry honey, it's okay to look, and also throw money at the half-naked women! I promise you won't get in trouble!" Uh-huh. ;) Alright, I digress. Awkwardness aside, Prohibition is a really great place to enjoy a classy dinner, where the meat is served on a place AND on stage, and the cheesecake comes with the price of admission! Speaking of admission, as my wife and I were guests, being shepherded along by our friend, I cannot recall exactly what the "cover charge" was (not much, if I remember correctly...less than $20 for two?), and if reservations are *required*, I cannot say for certain, but I would say they are *recommended* at the very least, because our showtime was packed. Anyway, once paid, you are escorted through a secret bookcase door (SLC residents sure do love their speakeasies, don't they?), and into the dining hall and saloon, where you're soon to have your socks knocked off...well, someone's clothes are coming off, anyway! We were given a table that I dismissively thought was tucked away pretty far in the back and out of the way, but it ended up being one of the best seats in the house, as the table where the performers gathered, prepped, and returned to was just adjacent to us, so we were about as up close and personal as you can get, without getting yourselves arrested. Each of the dancers brought their own style, flair, and wardrobe to their performances, which were spirited and energetic, and a touch racy, without devolving into outright debauchery. It may be an (18+? 21+?) venue, but alcohol restrictions aside, I wouldn't hesitate to take older, more mature teens to a show with similar content. We ordered a smattering of smaller dishes, as we weren't particularly hungry, but the Mishima Wagyu tacos were fantastic (as you would expect), as was the Fedora Fin (Za'atar-crusted ahi tuna), and all of our cocktails. As the show is timed event with multiple performances per night, both food and bev are fired out of the kitchen/bar faster than the bullets from a Tommy Gun, but with far better accuracy. The whole operation here was honestly very impressive, from start to finish. Coming from a progressive city like Portland, it's always struck me a little odd that places that, by reputation, strike you as more conservative end up having some of the best, most wild entertainment venues, that you only wish you had back home. Prohibition is one of these places that I would rather see in my downtown, instead of the litany of seedy strip joints pushing for maximum titilation, but with only a fraction of the class and sophistication. Prohibition is good, clean fun, masquerading as something illicit, which is the heart of what makes it work so well.

My family stayed down the street at the HGI in Sandy for 5 nights for my son's soccer tournament and we visited Slackwater 3 times. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp! Even during the week, the wait was 30+ mins each time. Food was great. We tried a lot of different pizzas - we got the Chicken Bro-Do, Hot Honey DP, Tikka Masala, Taco Camarones and Margherita. The airy artisan crust is the same on all pizzas and is delicious. I would recommend them all outside of the Camarones which felt a bit underwhelming as there was very little shrimp and flavor was flat. The Citrus Morita dry rub wings are incredible. We ordered these every night. The Morita chile sauce I would throw on everything. Super fresh and flavorful. It had the right amount of heat . The breadsticks are really good. Same bread that they use for the pizza and stuffed with a ton of cheese. Marinara sauce that comes with it is top notch. The Diablo sticks are spicy just to be spicy. The sauce isn't good. We switched to regular marinara. Would recommend staying away from these. Service is great. Everyone is very attentive. The staff definitely give off a chill energy but are focused, alert and friendly. This place is a must if you're in the area. Hope we can make it back someday.
