First off, shout out to the super friendly, fun, and indefatigable Meg as our server! She made the night. Our tonkatsu was served perfectly! Huge serving, larger than we're used to but rich without being too salty. The Thai offerings there were a nice touch too -- the Thai tea and mango sticky rice went well together read more

We love Tosh Ramen. My kids now have an appreciation for quality, authentic Japanese ramen because of this restaurant. My favorite is the curry ramen. It's a big meal and so flavorful. But we also love the karai. A bit spicy for the littles but they love the flavor of the broth. read more

I feel content to have stumbled upon Tosh's Ramen tonight. Our ramen was delicious. Served hot and flavorful. Very reasonably priced. Tosh's has such a fantastic vibe, and is super clean. What a pleasant experience. The waitstaff were all super friendly and fast, which added to our positive experience. We most certainly will be back. read more

The server was great super on top of filling water!cleanliness was good! We both got the curry ramen not really what the website picture showed. It was super thick and the noddles they were just one big blob not soupy at all. Can't say it's my favorite I've ever had. Edamame was good though! read more

I was really craving a spicy tonkatsu and a friend had recently recommended this place as her favorite ramen in SLC, so my bf and I decided to give it a try! I saw that they offer a non-spicy tonkotsu and a spicy karai ramen, which looked like a spicy tonkotsu, but it had ground pork instead of chashu. I asked to see if I could sub the ground pork for chashu but was told they don't do that. Instead I got the regular tonkotsu and asked for spice on the side, which came as a spice rack. My bf got the shoyu ramen. We both agreed we wished the noodles were a little different (they're a little smaller/thinner than we were expecting), but the flavor of the broth was good, I liked the bamboo and black fungus, and the soft boiled egg was DELISH. I'd be curious to try the spicy karai next time. And I know this is so silly/weird to say, but their water was so good, it needed its own shout-out! I probably drank more water than I had all day in one sitting (and that's on top of all the ramen broth I was drinking!). Honestly, I usually hate drinking water, but it was so good here that I GUZZLED it, and my bf and I both liked it so much, we chugged whatever was left in our cups down before going home! Ambiance is warm, casual, plenty of half booth seats. Service was super attentive (my water glass never got less than half full), and the check and leftover boxes came quickly, as soon as we needed them. I was impressed with how on top of it they were! I'm so used to having to wait a long time or wave someone down for a to-go box or the check, but that was definitely not the case here. Overall, would be interested in trying again! And my bf and I joked about asking for a cup of water to go next time haha. read more

Great ramen. Flavor, ingredients everything they offer is delicious. Tofu is done to perfection. Potstickers are also great!

This was my first time visiting the holladay location, I'd been to the state street one a bit over a year ago and thought it was good so maybe it's just this location, but the quality seems to have dipped a fair amount. The miso ramen was disappointing, the broth was good but the noodles were seemingly not fresh, I found myself chewing on little clumps of ramen noodles between bites of pork that were somehow dry. It was unexpected, and kinda sad. Plus I believe the costs have gone up a few dollars for these bowls in the last year so that's a double whammy. The katsudon bowl on the other hand was good! It came out hot and fresh and had plenty of flavor. I also really enjoyed how the tea was served, the pot kept it hot through the whole meal. Service was also great, they were attentive and friendly and kept our drinks full. read more

pssssst...... I have a secret. This location is even better than the downtown location! The menu is better, the food is better, the service is better. Everything tastes better! I don't know what it is, maybe everyone is just friendlier and it makes everything better. Maybe it's the lack of crowds so you don't feel rushed. I don't know what it is, but if you're in the area, I highly encourage you to check this place out! read more

Hey so this place is good. Ramen was good, edamame was good, udon was good. $17 for a bowl of ramen is kind of wild, so I won't be able to eat here nearly as much as I'd like, but it was good. The broth was rich and hot. The chashu was tender. The noodles were perfect. My wife enjoyed the udon. We'll be back, but not nearly as often as we'd like just due to the price. read more

Tosh's Ramen is delicious! Sure, there were a few hiccups like our appetizer coming out mid-meal and some other issues that the sever took care of, but the flavor of the food is beyond anything else. The shiitake mushrooms that come in the Karai Ramen are to die for! I always get extra mushrooms because they're so good. The Tokyo Wings are also delicious and crispy--be sure to ask for extra sauce. There was one server working the whole restaurant, and it was rather busy so he did a good job! The ambiance is open and has a good vibe. I will deftly be back again! read more

Not the best ramen, very average. It scratches the itch if you want ramen but the flavor wasn't there. We had multiple servers come up to us asking if we were ready to order within the first 5 minutes of sitting down. I felt rushed and ended up just picking a random ramen that I didn't love. The potstickers were really good but I wouldn't go back. read more

Personal experience: so, please keep in mind that during dinner rush it does get SUPER busy and they have these crazy wait times! So keep that in mind while coming here but the wait is SO worth it! The inside looked well designed and I love the interior. Food: I absolutely love their ramen and broth and would recommend this place! I didn't like how they don't have eggs included but overall I absolutely loved it:) Service: I loved the service I had here but the wait here was kinda crazy and the wait time for the food was crazy as well but would still come here again! read more

Three stars only because the service was friendly, other than that the food was ok, there was nothing special about the broth, the rice is the better option between the ramen and rice. I'm writing specifically for the mango sticky rice I hope they can improve, I was hoping it was like Tuk Tuk, but it was basically like a soup..the mangoes were frozen on top and seems to have defrosted directly on top of the rice as they were still frozen and cold....the sticky rice was drenched and watered down in coconut syrup? It's disappointing because when asked about whether the sticky rice was white or purple, she replied it was purple as if stating the obvious..so there's that for what you will read more

Awesome ramen! Super friendly and quick service. Reasonable prices and great menu options. Would definitely recommend

Really fantastic ramen and other yummy side dishes to be had here. Came on a weeknight with my family as a group of 9. There was only one waitress and one cook and they were working so hard to serve us and the other guests, they were absolutely rockstars. read more

Love this place! I've been going to the downtown location for years! So happy they have one on the south end of the valley. In addition, they now do takeout. Wonderful. Spectacular. Haha I really liked this ramen place. I got it to go which is why it's even more surprising that it tasted so good. Ramen to go is a huge hit or miss but this was definitely a hit. They were great taking my order and it was on time. Inside also looked like it was conducive for solo eating. My only critique is I normally like a thicker slice of pork chasu. It totally depends on the style of ramen but otherwise, no complaints. read more

Very good ramen. The takoyaki is off the charts. If you can believe this they have sake here. Order it with your meal. It totally enhances the ramen in ways you would expect for someone sitting at a ramen house in rappongi or ginza. The service is incredible. I cannot say any more good things about the service other than it is excellent. The food quality is very good! I would rate it in the upper end for Japanese food in the SLC area. One cool thing about this restaurant is the art work that is for sell around the walls. Very good stuff. A very well known local Japanese photographer. I may have to pick some up next time I'm here They also have good takeout service if you don't want to dine in. read more

best ramen I have had EVER!!!!!! The taste was perfect the atmosphere is just super clean and cool and customer service was amazing!!!!!!

When I say I never liked ramen until Tosh's, I'm not kidding. Ask my friends; I had a disdain for Japanese ramen and a preference for Vietnamese pho. Tosh's completely changed my mind! I constantly crave their curry ramen, with extra shitaki mushrooms and their deliciously breaded katsu and yam noodles. I devour every single drop of it! Their green or oolong tea comes in a nice white ceramic pot, with traditional cups. I thoroughly enjoy every meal I have at Tosh's. Their edamame is nice and crisp, pretty al dente. Even taking the ramen to go for home enjoyment, they are generous with their portions. I enjoy the service, it's a family atmosphere and whenever I'm sick, I order my ramen to go only from Tosh's. 10/10 highly recommend, best ramen in Salt Lake. read more

My go-to ramen spot in Salt Lake. Great service. Great ramen. They have a dedicated room for large parties.

The food comes out fresh and stays piping hot. The service is excellent, and they keep you updated with your order. The ambiance is so wonderful, it's open, the music is at a volume good for conversation and groups. There were a few issues, but when I inquired about them, they were quickly resolved in a clear, concise manner that really made them stand out as professionals who take pride in their restaurant. I've eaten at a lot of Ramen so I come to this with VERY high expectations. Overall 3.5 Stars - I rounded up to 4 stars to help out the business. My wife and I went to this restaurant as my sister had talked it up. We started with Edamame (of course) + some KushiKatsu. Both were good. The KushiKatsu was similar to a chicken nugget from ChickFillet but pork. The sauce was clutch. We ordered 4 bowls. The server asked us three times if that was a mistake as we were only two people. I really wanted to get a good handle on everything they had. We ordered - Tonkotsu Ramen, Karai Ramen, Curry Ramen, and Miso Ramen. My recommendation - Curry Ramen, it had by far the most flavor. My wives recommendation would be the same. She ended up stealing the rest of the bowl. The Tonkotsu Ramen was our second choice. The others were meh. Overall pretty decent place to eat and the best Ramen in SLC that we can find. We've tried them all. read more

We came for dinner and it was quite packed. We waited for a bigger table but then settled with 1 table for 5 of us so we can get seated and start ordering. We ordered and our food came out fairly quickly which we were all very impressed by. We ordered chicken curry, chicken teriyaki, ramen, mango sticky rice, mochi dessert and cookie/brownie dessert. We loved all of our food items. The service was great, the wait time was minimal even being fairly busy and the food was fantastic. We will be back again read more

Since COVID started altering business hours and procedures, we have called Tosh's several times for take out and have truly enjoyed the varieties of ramen they offer. The food is always good and fresh, and we felt like we were doing our part to support a local Holladay business to make sure they can stay open during COVID. Yet, on picking up our to go order this evening, I was a bit surprised when I saw a "to go fee" charged for each entree. In the future, inasmuch as I have a choice of supporting local businesses through this pandemic via my patronage, I'll probably decide to choose a place that doesn't charge me extra for NOT eating in the restaurant. read more
