This is obviously a small business-locally owned and run. I love these types of places and tend to support them before going to a larger, chain restaurant. That said, I recognize that with a smaller restaurant, there might be some kinks that larger places may not deal with. For example, fewer staff members can slow down service, etc. My experience here was pretty good-attentive server, however there were a few hiccups with the food. My friend and I ordered the Super Ramen, which comes with an egg. Neither of ours had the egg when it was brought to our table, so we asked about it and they brought them out promptly. No biggie! My friends' husband ordered the spicy ramen, after asking the server how spicy it was. The server said it wasn't too spicy at all, but it ended up having quite a kick to it. Maybe I have weak friends, or maybe the spice level was more intense than they'd expected. Unfortunately, it only got halfway eaten. Even though you order at the table through a server, you pay at the counter. It wasn't clear if we bussed our own tables or not, but we left it, assuming that they take care of things. Overall, it was an ok experience-might be worth another try on a cold ramen-worthy evening.
The flavor of the ramen bowls are amazing. This place was unbeknownst to me as I normally just go to Trader Joe's. I am very sad that I have had the tastiest, well-balanced, umami filled bowl of Ramen Noodles. The sadness is not in the food, service, or venue it is in the fact as I ordered the waitress informed me that tomorrow 12/12/25 is their LAST DAY. I wish I knew about this amazing food sooner. But alas they are closing tomorrow. I saw their cool noodle machine and could only wish I could have had these noodles sooner. Food was so so flavorful and had a lot of character! The homemade noodles are super soft & I appreciate the care that went into the whole meal. Service was very pleasant as well! It really shows when a team is taken care of behind the scenes:) the staff seem to enjoy their job & it helps with the overall atmosphere!
This is a great little restaurant! The service was fabulous. Grady, our server, was exceptionally helpful and very friendly. Our food was really good. The portions are pretty large so we had to take some of it to go. And I got some musubi to take home to my husband. He said it was fabulous! We will definitely be coming back.
Very clean restaurant, even the bathroom. Tonkotsu is super rich and creamy. Their kettles are right up front so you can see their stock is homemade.
Great fresh ramen ! Found this on Yelp and we really enjoyed a early dinner here- Edamame- large Edamame cooked well and perfectly salted ! Super Ramen - soup was very good noodle perfect Hakata tonkatsu Ramen - I loved the soup - noodles well done. They have their own parking lot - serve is good - need to go to the counter to checkout!

We needed to grab a quick bite, but were unable to find parking in the parking lot of the original noodle place we wanted to try. I went in with no expectations and a hungry belly. I got the "Spicy Super Ramen" which was served with 2 slices of pork, half a tamago egg, bamboo, fish cake, nori, sprouts, green onions, and topped with a garlic spicy sauce. The broth was rich and flavorful but it wasn't really spicy at all. I personally would have liked more spice, but I also liked that the broth wasn't too overly salty. The fresh in-house noodles were a nice chewy texture which I appreciated. The pork was thinly sliced, but was juicy and tender. Personally, I would have preferred a slightly thicker cut. The soft boiled egg was not pretty, but it was still delicious and is usually my favorite topping in a ramen bowl. The main thing I disliked was that the broth wasn't hot enough and the amount of sprouts in my bowl mainly because it was just a little too much in proportion to the amount of noodles. My friend wanted to try their teriyaki pork bowl. The meat was tender and flavorful, so I did enjoy that, but not sure if it's a must try. All in all, I had a good experience here and they have pretty solid ramen, better than some places in California. If I'm in the area again, I'd like to try a different bowl of ramen.

We had some customizations and he made sure to get it right and answered our questions really kindly. They were way busy but stayed on top of service.
Cute little mom and Pop with handmade noodles, our variety of broth and flexible substitutions. Had the spicy Ramen with chicken broth and chicken meat instead of pork. Added grade garlic which was a nice touch. Very filling and delicious, would come back. And service was excellent. What's more? They have large bibs so you don't make a mess on yourself! Not the best I've ever had but pretty good.

It was a rainy night and so I came in search for comfort food. This did not disappoint. I dove in head first and forgot to take a picture before I demolished most of the ramen. The texture of the noodles was a little different than I am used to but I dig it. The cream tonkotsu flavor was great. I added an extra egg and it was just perfect. I can't believe I hadn't been here before this trip, but I'll be back again soon! read more

We are in town from out of state. We love to find local mom and pop shops. You never know what you'll get going this route. Will it be good or will it be awful. Samurai was absolutely fantastic! Finally gave this place a try after driving by a few times and I'm so glad I did! This Ramen was seriously heaven in a bowl. So fresh, ingredients were really quality ingredients. I dare say it was even better than the Ramen I had in Japan a few months ago. I got their famous bowl Hakata something. read more

Came here with friends for a quick bite to eat and truthfully, was not super impressed. The service was quick and nice, but the quality of the food was lacking. I wish the ramen was more flavorful. The gyoza also came out a little cold. read more

Samurai Noodle was really good. I got the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen and I enjoyed it. The broth was flavorful and the pork was very soft and tasty. I went with someone who loves Ramen and they enjoyed it so much they came back the next day. We had a large group and the ramen was served really fast. The atmosphere is kind of low end but you are coming for the ramen. read more
This ramen place is great! I'm glad I decided to try it. My favorite ramen to get is the garlic shouyu ramen. The garlic in it adds such good flavor and makes it really delicious. The portions are big and filling, you could easily share. I also recommend trying their gyoza for an appetizer. The sauce with it is awesome. read more

It was a surprising find! The place was decorated really fun, with a bunch of movie posters and fun manga/anime references. The ramen was very tasty, and you definitely got to try the karage (friend chicken). We got sat almost immediately and it was overall a nice experience. read more

Wonderful ramen spot! They have lots of variety in their dishes, my favorite is the sumo rice bowl! Portions are very hearty and will definitely hit the spot if you're looking for a good bowl of ramen. read more

Was looking for a noodle place on this cold winter night and stumbled upon samurai noodle. First of all, the noodles are why you come - homemade noodles! I ordered a hakata tonkatsu ramen, super spicy ramen, karage and edamame. The edamame was nothing to write home about. The karage had good flavor but was a little oily for my taste. The noodles were awesome. I was given a shoyu tonkatsu ramen instead of the hakata tonkatsu which was a little disappointing only because it's a house specialty. The shoyu tonkatsu was yummy tho! I always wish there were more noodles compared to condiments. as always I added a soft boiled egg which makes everything better. I also wish the charsu had been cut thicker - the slices are rather thin, but full of flavor. The super spicy wasn't overwhelmingly spicy which is hard to balance sometimes. But again the same critiques apply. With there were more noodles. Loved seeing so many people picking up take out orders. It's great to see people support small businesses during this trying time. read more

Excellent!!! The best word I can use to describe the food here. Granted, I am no serious expert on the matter. Well, on food, yes. After all, you don't grow a gut like this without any real effort. But I do love ramen. That's mostly cause I grew up living on saimin. My greatest means of deciding if something is good or not is if my spousal unit approves of the food. Doesn't matter if I like the food, if she is a no go then I will not be able to eat there. That is unless I can go there by myself. Which I may do someday just so I can give a shot to eating Mount Fuji. Granted it looks pretty big, but growing up a large saimin or wonton min was big enough to feed 2-3 people and I ate it alone. On the other hand, at my present age I'm finding I can't eat as much anymore. Still.....the challenge!!!! read more

Great spot for ramen! I like how fresh their ingredients are. Their garlic hot sauce is bomb. Soup is not super salty and perfect for this Came back again and tried their tonkatsu ramen. I like it! The hot sauce definitely change the taste of the broth. So if you want it spicy, have the sauce on the side and try the broth before you add the sauce in. I like it both with and without the spicy sauce but they taste very different. read more
This place has really upped their game, their ramen is fantastic, waits times aren't bad and the staff are on the ball. They keep adding new items and specials all of the time. They have a poster up of Ramen Heads the Japanese Ramen movie that shows the best of the best. It is on Neflix and makes me want to go to Japan just to attend the Ramen competitions. read more

I came here because the wife was mad at me. I don't like shopping while on vacation. Having already gone to the two malls in the SLC area, I didn't want to drive all the way to Draper for another mall. So what does shopping have to do with a ramen place? I have no idea, but, it seems they put ramen joints near the malls in the SLC area. We tried Jinya, over by the Fashion Place Mall first. But, Jinya was the wrong decision because my wife didn't want to go back to the Fashion Place Mall after we had already visited it; and because Jinya is available at home in Los Angeles. The 90 minute wait on a Friday night was also a factor for us to leave. With low expectations, using my trusty Yelp app, I was able to quickly find Samurai Noodle close to the Shops at South Town, a mall that we had not yet visited. We arrived at a little past 7PM. There was no wait at all. We were quickly seated and given menus. Since ramen is in their name, we ordered a couple of their ramens and a karaage. While waiting for the food to arrive, it was interesting to see that they had a noodle machine to make their own noodles. The karaage came out first. It looked kind of funny. It didn't taste bad, but, perhaps there is a reason that this place is not called Samurai Karaage. The ramen was better than I expected, though not as good as some the places I've visited in California. The broth was decent. It made for a good filling meal. Samurai is an okay place for ramen. They were able to serve us quickly so that we could go visit the local mall saving me from an angry wife. 3 1/2 stars, but, for saving me, I will bump it up to 4 stars. read more
