Club 90 - Dance Clubs Near Me - Sandy, Utah

There are a lot of great things about Club 90, but my favorite is variety. A typical Friday or Saturday night there includes a live band in the main club, DJ upstairs, (the view upstairs is spectacular) karaoke in the green room, and the game room as well. Great spot to have parties, there are lots of big tables that can sit a big group. Drinks are fairly priced, and the food is yummy. Irish Nachos are a must. In reading some other reviews I see complaints of the shots being tiny, do these people not know what state they're in? Don't blame the establishment for Utah laws. They legally can only do a 1 oz pour. That means no long pours, no doubles, no side cars. Sure it sucks but legally, that's how all Utah bars operate. You also want to complain about soda being $2.00 and no refills, well you aren't at Mcdonald's. People go out to drink, not fill up on soda all night. Who needs that much sugar anyway? ;) They always have fun events going on too. 70's night, midget wrestling, burlesque show, just to name a few. Love Club 90! read more

We have been enjoying the free salsa dancing so decided to order food today to help out the business for providing the free classes. The tomato soup in amazing! Best I've had in Utah and would never expect it from a bar. We also ordered a wrap that was very good. Can't speak for the club scene here but overall we have been impressed. Used to live downtown and miss the hole in the wall dives. I'm so glad I found club 90 it's the fun hole in the wall with bingo,trivia and karaoke minus the hipsters on fixed gear bikes. Cocktails could be a buck cheaper but I'll take over going to some chain restaurant for a drink. If you're a Night at the Roxbury duo or aspiring Kardashian please go else where. While the food is fantastic and the waitresses are second to none, I can't stand their poker. They use this extra blind system no one else in the valley uses, and this blonde dealer openly talked so much shit to several of the players; I can't believe she hasn't gotten fired. I may have been drunk, but that shocked me. If she was hired in any other form of customer service, she would have been fired on the spot. Great bar, just avoid poker if you can help it. Oh sweet Jesus, I got drug to this horrendous place again! For the love of God people!!!! We let Sandy Station close and left this shithole stay open???? I will say one thing they win for crappy wait staff, these girls definitely are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to waiting tables. First off let me say that I'm a sucker for classic music and of all genres. Club 90 provides this and more by having a live cover band for rock on the main floor and then a hip hop DJ upstairs. The DJ is so interactive as well and he takes requests! Let's hit activities. Free pool, darts, AND foosball? Yes please. The best part is, they have multiple tables so there is never a line to play. Not to mention they always have random interesting stuff like midget wrestling and burlesque shows. Food. Ughhh. The best! The kitchen manager used to run a 5 star restaurant so his skills are legit! If you come at night, I suggest the bacon wrapped olives. In the morning. Anything. Their breakfast and Bloody Mary bar is the bees knees. Now, finally. Drinks. The bartenders are so crafty. Normally if you go anywhere else and ask for their special. They will make you an "AMF" and call it something stupid and perverted of their own. Club 90 is crazy original if put on the spot. Also, if you can catch the shot girl. Shots are only $2.50 with her! She even has fireball, tequila, and jager. For HALF OFF. So, yes. You pay a $5 cover charge on the weekend. But for half off shots, free pool, and a classier crowd. (which is a huge plus for me. I personally don't love a bunch of young dudes trying to grind on me all night.) it's totally worth it. read more

This place is Awesome! We bought a Groupon to see a traveling burlesque show so the crowd to start with was pretty diverse as far as age, but once the show was over and the crowd dispersed, you got to see the real crowd show up and they were inspiring.... Now if you're in your 20's and looking for a hopping club then move along.. This place is not for you and they probably don't want you anyway. But for the rest of a grown folk this place is high on fun and low on judgment. I'm in my 30's and I can only hope I'm on the dance floor in my 60's line so many of the people I saw... If you just want fairly priced drinks in a low stress environment then this is the place for you!!! And the food was really good too! read more

This bar is the best people watching place I've ever been. There's live bands every weekend with all dance worthy songs. The food for lunch and dinner is amazing. The staff is super friendly and the best part is that their drinks are cheaper than any other club in Utah. If you haven't been there I suggest you at least check it out. read more

Poor service, was there two hours before our food came and the food was cold, no free refills on soda, Chelsea is a horrible server

Management needs to seriously rethink their service and quality. I have had 2 meals here and both have not only been horrible, but overpriced. Chile verde burrito is described as smothered and with guacamole, and not only were there only 3 pieces of pork, there was no smother OR chile verde. The drinks are cheap, but watered down. You get two different servers for cocktails and food, where else in the world does this happen, and it takes forever, as well as orders being forgotten multiple times. How can you screw up a club sandwich?! Really?! Good thing there's GREAT jazz happening here. I will continue to come only for that reason. read more

There's nothing "club" about this place. It looks like a washed up bingo hall from the 70's with sub-par service. New management should run a used car lot... not the hospitality business. Also, kitchen has odd hours so you may or may not be able to order food. Be prepaired to have your credit card ran for 2 seperate transactions (1 for food & 1 for drinks) on the same visit. & if you go there on the weekend you'll be right in with the swingers club & members of the AARP. We spend a lot of time at club 90. We enjoy the live bands, the karaoke and the dancing. It's also a great place if you're in the mood for dining or club snacks. A lot of the local clubs are going under while club 90 just gets better. read more

Do not go here....you will die of heat exhaustion...the new owners are to cheap to fix the AC and it is miserably hot...no one goes here anymore...for the last three months..it is good night if there is 50 people. OMH this place is hilarious on the weekends. If u like "watching" people (and laughing at said people) you'll love this place. One older Gent in particular is absolutely incredible to watch cut-a-rug. On certain nights he can be seen dazzling on lookers with epic dance moves and his rainbow lit pants. Mixed feelings about this club. On weekends, it is okay for the older crowd. The have live cover bands, and it is generally pretty busy. However, the service is not so good; they take their time. Have been several times on Tuesday for karoke. The host is awesome; the staff not so much the crowd is small Tuesday and the staff seem like they're annoyed to be at work.they do have a great taco deal on Tuesday night, but if you plan to eat make sure you order while before 10 because at exactly straight up 10 o'clock they cut you off. read more

Club 90 has always been a blast. Good food, good service, great variety of drinks, and pretty good prices. Amazing atmosphere. It's very relaxed, and never too crowded, even on a Saturday night. Most cocktail waitresses are friendly, just make sure you sit in the right area. Band is usually a good one also. Cover charge is ok, usually $5. It's a bigger place so the dance floor is decently sized and there's a lot of booths and tables. I've never had to look very hard to find a place to sit that would be suitable. Definitely fun to people watch as well. read more

Went to Club 90 for the first time with friends. A buddy lived right down the street so we figured that we might as well go considering we had no other plans on a Saturday night. Arrive at around 11:45 where we were immediately stopped and asked to show our ID's, subsequently, we were asked for a 5$ cover charge... Now mind you this is not a fancy place and the next youngest person there was 40 years old so the fact that there is a cover charge in Salt Lake City is preposterous. Once inside I go to the bathroom (which was absolutely filthy but I digress), after washing my hands the stamp they gave washed off. Right after I leave the bathroom I am confronted by two middle-aged female bartenders who looked like they had lived a life rougher than 80 grit sand paper. They accosted me and made me show them my ID as well even though it hadn't been 2 minutes since I had walked in, not to mention I was driving and not imbibing! To spark note this review, this is a run down of club 90: middle aged lower income demographic who is trying to act 21 again but fail miserably. Ed hardy shirts, Abercrombie cologne, faded tattoos from the 70's and a distinct smell of desperation. Will not return and definitely would not recommend. read more

So here's the thing. Club 90 is not that bad a club. Square footage wise, it's one of the largest in the state and is nice with relatively recent updates. It's recently under new management and they are trying...failing...but trying. The bands try book are good, some even great. He problem is, the bar scene in Utah is particularly active for the 20-30 something crowd...who spend more money per person than any other group combined, but who are simply not welcome here at "the 90." The club as ample room but rarely fills to capacity...in fact it's the same exact 30 people every weekend. The clientele is loyal, but never changing. There's a reason this place has the nickname "club 90 year olds." As I said, the new owner is trying to mix it up with special events (80s night, Disco down, Paint Nite events, pajama parties, etc), but there's no advertising and very little participation. Elvis night had three contestants...out of a club population of 200. The new owner is not a mean person, but she's a long walk from friendly and extremely rude (in front of the patrons) to the staff and hired musical help, which is a big customer service no no. The staff used to be awesome, but with a few exceptions, has declined. When club owners in Utah realize (like The IceHaus already had) that a full drink makes a happy customer, they will see the profits they hope for. In the meantime, if 90 wants to be THE club, they have some serious work to do. read more
