I came here on a Wednesday night to catch up with a friend and play some pool. It doesn't look like much from the outside. When you walk in the space is pretty large. I can see how this would be a locals favorite place. There is ample seating throughout and four pool tables. Games were 75 cents. There was a pool league going on, but it was fairly empty and quiet. The music wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation while you played. I liked the playlist. Everyone was friendly, bartender and patrons. I didn't try any food, but someone at league offered to share their Costa Vida with us lol I felt welcomed and would gladly come back. This was a cool little spot with great music. The crowd was friendly, and we had a great time shooting some pool for a few hours.

Cute nice place but Bonnie feels constantly inconvenienced... she can't serve a Bloody Mary after 2 pm, she was telling us to close our tab and asking some if they wanted another drink and teaming others they needed to wait for the next bartender who she told she could go visit with other patrons and those she didn't ask to have another drink we had to wait till the other person came who knows when. We left she's a jerk. She was blaming people for dirtying the bathroom at 11 am when clearly it was dried up from the night before but didn't check her restroom's when she got there and was yelling at everyone and pointing fingers, we should have told her, please that bathroom first of all is tiny no one uses it clearly and second of all lady do your damn job and check it when you arrive in the morning, it was clearly dried it was none of us, stop blaming your patrons we are your bread and butter jerk. So I will tell everyone I know never to go there because she's such an ass you her own customers that are tipping her, never go here you will be blamed for things you didn't do. OTT is a fun place to hang out. The place is clean, and has newly felted pool tables. The entire staff is nice and accommodating since it's been under new management for the past couple of months. Definitely a fun bar to hang out at in Midvale, Utah. read more

This little hole in the wall bar is like no other place in SLC. Everyone is friendly. Bartenders. Patrons. Security. Everyone. The women aren't catty at all! Seriously! This place just screams "I just want to have fun and I want everyone to be happy." Food/Drinks: I was told food here isn't good, but there's a taco truck around the corner and their burritos are HUGE! Or you can call for delivery and get pizza. The pizza guy will even deliver it to your table! Drinks are extremely cheap! They are priced about $5.00 Patron and Crown shots! They have a full bar, but don't ask them to make a dirty martini. They don't have in ingredients for it, but they sure tried. Peep the photo. Dress Code: There's no dress code, but dress to impress. Women are dressed in jeans and a cute top while guys are usually in jeans and white Ts or hoodies. Layout: There's pool tables, dart board, and a small dance floor with a live DJ Saturday nights and they play a variety of music. I'm talking about oldies, 80s, old skool rap, country, todays hip hop. I did request to play Cupid shuffle to get the party started, but he said he'd have to stop his playlist to play it. The bar tender served the people at the end of the bar without even acknowledging us. When he finally came down to us, he just looked at us, no greeting, no anything. he seemed pissed off and didn't know if he had ginger beer or not. We ended up just walked out. As a bar tender you should at least be a little friendly. I will not go back. read more

Found this genuinely chill, gem of escape on a trip to the planetarium, while visiting our son in Utah. Need, hope, joy- coalesced. Best bloody Mary mix we've tasted in some time; a complex proprietary recipe of the bartenders - Bonnie, I think. Can't remember her name, but she was great. Good sense of humor, good conversation. Knowledgeable about the area, restaurants, activities, history, current events... We all left in good spirits. Hope to someday return and repeat. read more

Had a nice lunch across the street. Needed a little something more. Old Towne Tavern called. This place is exactly what you'd hope for a neighborhood beer and a shot place. Not what you'd expect, but what you want. Clean,extremely friendly, and a fine set of pool tables makes for a nice place. They have some nice beers, plus the mega brands. This is not a place for cocktails. I'm not even going to get my trademark Manhattan here. That said, they had some Old Forester, and life was good. The son and I were here on a Sunday afternoon. Went there with a few friends to have a drink or two. The female bartender was being very rude to me and my friends and even went as far as to say "why would they bring someone in here with pajamas?" Talking about me when I had a perfectly fine outfit on. You shouldn't have to feel bad for what you wear there's no dress code. Second of all, I was having a private conversation with my friends and the bartender had a customer listen in to our conversation. They made us feel very unwelcomed. Do not go here. Or at least don't go there when that bartender is there. I've never had an issue with this bar until she was working. read more

Called and wanted to see what kind of food the served and the man on the phone was rude and being quiet whenever we asked a question. Treated us like it was inconvenient to receive a phone call to ask if they were serving food, he ended up hanging up on us and we were confused. Won't visit the establishment unfortunately. Old Towne Tavern looks a little intimidating from the outside - you get that towny vibe - but once you step inside it's a really cool bar. The bartenders were all super nice and very accommodating. I went to three bars tonight came here and I had THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE TONIGHT!! The bartender Dustin was awesome.... on point with his mixed drinks and Dave as well! Both great bar staff!! I guess it's somewhat a bar they have averagely priced beer and pool. However, enjoy a bar that doesn't have many mixed drinks very limited supply of beer. The bartenders talk down on you and act like dicks and they don't have a kitchen. Top golf employees come here, which is most likely the only reason why they are still in business. Cheap drinks and much nicer than you'd think inside. Pool tables and horse shoes out in the back. Nice place to go after work and grab a drink with co workers or friends. Won't break your bank and you'll have a good time. Not a place to go meet people tho if you're looking to socialize with any ladies. Only reason it's a 4 is because service can be unpredictable. Awesome clientele and the owner was fantastic! Easily would warrant 5 stars. However, the two girls who served drinks were not friendly at all. But minus that this a 3 star dive bar somewhere you should definitely visit sometime I will for sure visit again hopefully with different bar tenders. Went to this place on a Saturday and this place is huge. The bartender/service is unbelievable. Probably the best service I have had. No fancy bells and whistles but keep your order simple and you'll enjoy friendly and fast service. They have pool tables and a dart board and the people watching on karaoke nights is fantastic!
