Great bar. Awesome bartenders. Owner needs to brush up on her ADA. If you are a veteran with a service animal or anyone with a disability, it's rough and she's reactive. Otherwise 12/10 spot. read more

We're looking for any patron that witnessed the unfortunate racially charged interaction between the bars owner and a female patron on the night of Saturday, August 22, 2026. If you were in the bar and witnessed the (alleged) comments made by the owner and/or witnessed the interaction, are you willing to stand up and do the right thing? Will you speak to us...? We understand you're hesitant. it's your "favorite neighborhood bar!" Unfortunately it's 2026 and that doesn't matter. If you witnessed or heard the comment made FROM the owner, TO the female patron, we would love to chat with you! read more

I've only been here when someone I knew had a birthday or something going on, so naturally it's been packed all of those times with the exception of once during the week. The vibe is cool, pretty chill staff and customers. Drinks aren't so expensive but not super cheap either. Beer seems to be the love of the customers, but then there's me with my shots and AMF requests. For some reason, most of the times I've come, my beer was warm. Same for my shots. Idk if that's normal or maybe it's supposed to make us drunk faster so we can leave, but I found that odd here. I have not seen food here but there is a restaurant next door if you're hungry and 7-11 across the street. Decent parking - street and private parking in the back shared with another bar next door. Wheelchair accessible but I don't know how anyone in a wheelchair can get around that many people safely without screaming at them to move. read more

You come here for a good time, a long time, not tool time. This place has gone through different owners, different looks and now is the pinnacle. Good vibes, good drinks....i can't speak for the food. read more

So good. Valeri the best. Love her So good. Great. Valeri is so cool. And nice. Good. read more

Manny's is that quintessential watering hole you've been looking for. High top, thick slab, wooden tables with enough space to sit the entire crew span the common area. Behind that you'll find pool tables, trivia consoles, arcade games, as well as the ultimate bar experience-Golden Tee. Manny's has it all. The cocktails are top notch, plenty of beer on tap, and who can resist the signature Flaming Dr. Pepper? Cleanest bar bathroom I've ever been in. Excellent food that may appear like typical bar fair on the menu, but once the chef brings it out, you realize it's anything but "bar food." The fries are out of this world! Manny's is located near downtown venues and sports events making it the clear choice for your pre-game or post concert gathering spot. When you stop in, make sure to tell Val that she has the best place in town! read more

Incredible disrespect. Valeri told us to never come back and I will happily oblige. Stopped serving drinks. Told friends they wanted us to leave. read more

Manny's is so fun! Nothing fancy but the people and service are awesome. Finally found where the culture is! Will be going back many times

Love the bartender Val she is so friendly an makes the most amazing drinks. Wish I could go in more often. Next time you go make sure you get Val to make you a drink. read more

Great environment ! Good vibes, great staff, and underrated but amazing food! Definitely a place that I recommend to water down!

The experience I had at Manny's tonight 04/14/19 (Saturday) with the bartender Valeri, as well as her coworker (don't remember his name) was very disrespectful and upsetting. To the owner and employees that work Friday nights, I've had an incredible experience at your establishment on Friday nights in the past, I LOVE MANNY'S!! I tell all my friends to go here and every weekend I request we stop in! Based on my past experience of Friday nights; FIVE STARS! My friends and I frequent this bar almost every Friday night and have an incredible, uplifting time. We always leave happy and satisfied. We spend good money and have great memories here. I was raised working at a family SLC Mom&Pop service industry business in the avenues where I work to this day, and I cannot imagine treating a customer with the disrespect that I was treated with tonight by both of the employees of Saturday night's shift (04/14/19) (we were there between 11pm-1am) I requested the lights be turned down so my friends and I could really get in to the karaoke, after mentioning the lights twice I was rudely told to never come back and my friends were told to not give me drinks because I was too drunk (I was not) It pains me to write this and to give low stars, but disrespect should not be tolerated. I will not return and I will tell my friends to not go here as long as Valeri is serving. If you want a friendly nice experience go Friday nights only. It's a wonderful time. Great owner! Really takes care of her people! Best place for karaoke. The kitchen is new and the food is so fresh and yummy! Great place for Sunday & Monday night football, play pool, video games or just hang out and have some cold ones. I love this bar and the staff. They always make me feel welcomed. read more

If you are into Kareoke fun, this is not for you. Would give it 0 stars if I could, but Yelp does not have the option. My group specificaly chose this place as it is ADVERTISED as Fridays at 8 pm for Kareoke. I even called ahead to make sure. They said on the phone 8 or 8:30. Well the advertisement says 8, and it says it inside the bar EVERYWHERE. The DJ finally shows up at 10 pm, 2 hours late, and is totally sloshed. Sets up the mic and then goes and pounds back a few shots and a giant beer. In between songs she is pounding back nore drinks and did not follow through on the request I made. I went back and I tipped her and even asked if it was enough to move my song. My two friends signed up right after me, thinking we could all sing and leave since she spent our whole night waiting. 8 sings later, and getting tipped too, she still played two more songs before mine. The setup is very bizarre, you can't see the words to the songs unless you stand with your back facing everyone. The bar was not busy and yet the service was extremely slow. The bartender asked for my id along with those who came with me. Then two people walked in and said hi to the bartender and that they knew a friend of hers. They asked if she would need to see their ID, and she said no. Just poured them drinks quickly, while we were there with next to no people and no one helping us to get a drink. The fries were good, but my "large" order had about 9 fries. So if you are REALLY hungry, you might want to go somewhere else since the menu is super limited. This place is not worth it. I will not be going back and I will not be recommending this to anyone. read more

Yeah this place is fun.. went at last call on a Friday, not even crowded.. played some video cornhole and sang karaoke, then yelled at some locals, flirted with a bartender, painted the town whiskey and stumbled my arse home. Exactly what I look for in a dive bar.. read more

Manny's - four glasses of beer on a table - Dive Bars Near Me - Salt Lake City, Utah

This bar is my favorite. Blade and Valeri, (and Van) are the reasons I come back. They promote an environment of friendliness, and if you aren't going to promote that as well, they have NO problem kicking you out! Which I love! They always remember my name, and smile when I walk in. It's my home-bar for sure! Poker and karaoke, cheap drinks and friendly staff! If they weren't nice to you, you probably deserve it honestly. And every bartender there is willing to try and make me new drinks they've never heard of, so i have a lot of fun here. BUT! The building itself isn't great, it's divey, the selection is a little limited, and the sound system isn't the best, but this dive has a special place in my heart. read more

Not as horrible as others have made it out to be, but I came here only to have a few drinks and smoke while I waited for my BBQ. The barkeep was friendly and attentive. The other patrons stared at me but it's expected with my appearance. They're "old boys" and I'm an odd bastard. So no fault of theirs... Random piece if trivia... Have you heard the term "Mind your P's & Q's"... In old England bar keeps would inform unruly patrons to mind their P's & Q's, referring to how their beers were served... Pints and Quarts. This just popped up in my head due to my usage of the word "barkeep". read more

If you're at al attractive, don't expect to get a drink from Valarie. She is so obviously ignoring you and being the one to show aggression towards you. It made the night bad. Not really any room to do karaoke. Just in the middle of the floor. Not enough chairs. Bad vibes read more

I thought this place was about as low as it gets, until I went next door to Willie's. I then realized a very poignant life lesson. No matter how low you get, there is always lower. But until I find something worse than Willie's, Manny's next door neighbor is a 1 star location. This place is filled, wait, it's not filled with anything except for sadness. But within this location you may find 7 or 8 very weathered, smelly old men. They probably are not to be trusted, and I bet they make the most gentle loving, and caring husbands. One bartender, really crappy TVs, no ambiance to speak of. Go to Batter's Up, it's across the street. read more

Smells like garbage water. Service is generally quick enough that you can hold your breath long enough to drink your Flaming Dr. Pepper and run outside for fresh air... so that's a plus. read more

When it comes to neighborhood bars, I don't ask for a lot. This bar has it where matters. The beer is cold and inexpensive, it's quiet and unpretentious, and overall a nice place to kill an hour or an afternoon. read more

One of our favorite dive bar in Salt Lake. Nice staff and friendly patrons, fun karaoke, and they have pool and an outdoor patio. Try their flaming Dr pepper, if you've never tried one you won't regret it. read more

Once again....one of the dive bars I truly enjoy. I seem to always make new friends when I come here. Not intentionally it just seems like everyone is super friendly. And an even bigger plus is the damn cheap drink prices. Including many shots that they have created themselves. They do have a kitchen where they can make you some simple bar food. I did discover that they do have the smoker running on the weekend. You can have a great smoked meal for cheap. I will be back for sure and make sure you order a flaming Dr. Pepper. . read more

Dive bar but I heart dive bars so this place is great. It's full of awesome people that are way friendly and great to talk to. The drink prices are fantastic and you can't beat them. The food is delish too! I had the hot ham and cheese and I was stuffed and fully satisfied when I was finished (and I couldn't finish my entire plate). read more

sorry I can't give it more stars, but I want all of you "fashionable" people to stay away. I like my dive bars quiet, liquored and hipster-free. I walked in and the "Imperial March" was playing, need I say more? read more

Horrible dump. Everybody working there thinks there hot shit. and if you complain politely about a lack of service you get a warm beer they FORGOT to give you and then have an attitude . of course I'm the kinda person who cares about people's opinion . so I left a 10 dollar tip that I guess wasn't good enough ... crowd was great though! we had a hell of a conversation about the relatable service read more

Best dive bar in SLC. Cheap drinks, helpful staff, friendly patrons, no waits. Order a flaming Dr. Pepper.
