This is my second try of a Habit Burger and I will not be back. Their burgers are nothing exciting and lack flavor for me. Their sides are OK, but not spectacular. I just don't get it. I don't find their burgers to be mouth-watering or tasty or crave-worthy. They are presented very nicely and look good. The service is very friendly and helpful. The interior is comfortable. They have a pretty good condiment bar. But nah, I just don't care for their burgers. I also had the tempura green beans. They were OK. The green beans were fat but still good. The tempura batter was OK. Just like the burger, though, it fell short, I think. Well, you can see how I translate 3 stars. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Although we don't go here as often as we used to...we really do enjoy their food! I love the teriyaki char. It's really delicious with a great teriyaki sauce and pineapple and grilled onions. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Nowhere online does it say you can't add seasoning to your burger. I placed my order through the app, realized I couldn't find an option for seasoning, so I immediately called; literally right after I ordered. The lady on the phone tells me, "Oh, it's already being prepared, we can't add seasoning." Excuse me? You mean to tell me that in the time it took me to hit "place order" and call, that burger was already just put on the grill! First off; you can add seasoning while a burger is cooking. It's called basic cooking 101. Second; terrible customer service. Instead of saying "Sorry, we can't do that," how about "Let me check what I can do"? But nope. Just attitude and excuses. So now I'm sitting here eating a flavorless burger I paid for, knowing they could've sprinkled a little magic on it if they cared enough. Bad professionalism. Bad service. And even worse communication. This was my last visit to this Habit; because apparently, they're not in the habit of satisfying customers. read more

I love a good burger-but I'm a plainest too. So sometimes I'm not the best person to review burgers. But I can tell a good quality patty and I really like the ones here at Habit. The fries are fantastic as well. This is one of those order at the counter, get a buzzer and then pick up your food kind of places. There are soda machines where you can fill your own drink and a condiment station to get as much ketchup or fry sauce as your heart desires. read more

We haven't been to a habit burger in a while so for date night my husband and I went out to get some burgers and sweet potato fries. As always the staff was amazing and so helpful. However I was bummed that we were both given very pink burgers. I'm hoping they have a meat thermometer telling them when it's at least at a safe temperature. We had to send it back though and get a new one which I hate having to do because I feel like the staff is put out by us. My husband is color blind so I had to tell him his burger wasn't cooked throughly. Thankfully I was there and saw it. read more

The burgers and fries were pretty good. It's a nice intermediate step from fast food, but not quite to that "A grade" burger joint. The food was definitely fresh. The restaurant could have been cleaner and the wait staff was about as expected. read more

I LOVE this place. So many great options for classic burgers and something a little special. I usually order their classic, but went for the cali last time on a recommendation. It was incredible. The burgers are so fresh and juicy, loaded with toppings, and k love the variety of options. If you're craving a burger, they will have a burger for you. Only complaint is on the fries. I don't know if I've ever had warm fries from here, and they're just a bit soggy. Food is otherwise really good, can't recommend enough. read more

Habit is one of my favorite burger places. Every location I've been to has been pretty solid. But why did they touch the fricken hotdog! They used to have it but now it's gone . The fries are pretty good. It's usually pretty messy inside though, at least this location. The wait is usually kind of long depending what time you go. And finally, they give you those gummy burgers with certain meals and we know those slap! read more

Meh. First time at a Habit. It was a Thursday evening, around 4pm. Only two other people in the restaurant. Service was friendly but slow. One employee was folding and refolding a wash cloth the entire time I sat and ate my meal. He was obviously bored. I got a portobella char burger and it was bland and over cooked. (Why on their menu is it spelled portabella, which is incorrect?) Was hoping this would be a good experience for a first time but with other better options like Culver's or Freddy's, I probably won't go back to a Habit. read more

Well, I am very sad to knock off the stars after so many visits since they opened. We have been very loyal customers, became regulars with management, and now I hope due to new staff that will quickly change back to what it was. Over the past couple months we have had issues of salad dressing mix ups.. blue cheese in the ranch. Which totally ruins the salad. Haha. Decline in quality. Huge decline in service, mostly when placing an order. The first face you see. The lady taking the order today said they can't substitute the fries for a side salad on a kids meal. A great burger and nice casual place to eat. Santa Barbara burger was awesome. Double burger with Swiss cheese and avocado...and today bread with butter. Great! The sides were a nice touch if you like peppers and assorted steak sauce. My son had the chicken sandwich sms was equally impressed. Tried this place on a whim and found that basically all of my expectations were exceeded. I walked in the door preparing to be disappointed as I am generally not a fan of charbroiled burgers, but the gooey Santa Barbara - think a crispy, buttery grilled cheese with two juice beef patties and a slab of fresh avocado stuck in the middle - had me singing a very different tune by the end. I have no plans to ever get anything else there. The tempura green beans may seem like a random menu item, but they were stellar. I'm hooked. Probably not what mom had in mind with the whole "eat your vegetables" thing, but I'm all for loopholes. Shake was decent and a proper consistency - neither concrete or totally liquid. Prices were surprisingly low given the atmosphere and the usual offerings of similar burger places, and the service was unusually friendly. Best burger I've ever had? Nah. This place's coronavirus's policies are a complete mess, their service is really poor at the moment, and even considering the coronavirus, your order will take far longer than expected. I used to love this place but I cannot recommend it any more. Edit: I cannot recommend The Habit more strongly. They reached out to me and responded to all of my concerns. The west jordan habit is the best one. Idelfonsa is great and always helps me with what I need they have the best food and great service

New favorite burger place! Soooo good! The burgers are great. The patties aren't the super thick kind that are served at gourmet burger places, but they are flavorful and juicy. They are served with the perfect combination of tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles, mayo, and ketchup. YUM. The fries are also good. They taste like fries should -- soft of the inside and crispy on the outside. And the shakes are also great! The Habit is by far the best fast food burger place in Utah! (much better than In-n-out!!) Unfortunately Terrible! We've eaten at many different Habit's and always had a great experience with delicious food. I'm from So Cal and this place started in good ole Santa Barbara. However this was the worst. Burgers were dry with no flavor, the fries were soggy and the service was blah. We didn't even finish eating and just had to leave and go find a better place to enjoy dinner. I hated tossing 4 burgers in the trash but that's where they belonged. read more

The customer support team never contacted us to try and resolve the issue. So their social media folks are on it. Their customer support doesn't care. Went in because they were offering a free burger with any purchase on the menu. I realized without the coupon it would be quite steep for a burger, fries, and drink. Definitely a more expensive burger place and personally without the coupon I wouldn't think of this place first. The food quality however is pretty good. I personally like things on the less salty side so I asked for no salt in the patties and it was perfect. great flavor without all that salt. The onion rings I were extremely disappointed in. The onions were so thinly cut that they had zero presence in the ring. The service was phenomenal by the manager. He was taking orders and bringing food out. I over heard him tell the customer in front of us about he coupon so they can get a discount on their next meal. This guy was awesome. read more

A great place to grab freshly made, tasty chicken and burgers with the family. Visiting from out of town, this was my first visit. I got the chicken club with avocado and bacon and chose to have it on grilled sourdough. The chicken was juicy, bacon crisp, tomatoes meaty and the bread was grilled to a perfect toasty balance. Add the avocado chunks and this was an amazing chicken club. Only thing I'd change is- sliced avocado is preferred over chunks. I had this with sweet potato fries and those too were great. Hot and crisp exterior, soft inside and good flavor. I tried them in the Utah fry sauce (which we don't have in TX) and thought that was ok. Still prefer it in ranch overall. Really enjoyed Habit. Great no-frills place for a burger! Within a mile we have other burgers such as In & Out, Five Guys and Shake Shack and this place has much better burgers for sure! I love the char on the burgers and how the buns just melt in your mouth! The only downside is I feel their ingredients such as tomatoes and avocados could be a bit better. However, I understand that Covid has wreaked havoc on supply chains. I won't let it stop me from continuing to visit! Staff is always friendly! The place is always very clean except when a family with their 6 kids leaves a huge mess behind. read more

First timer so I quickly got offered a starters item, the double char, and I was impressed. The fries were good too. Kind of weird to get a buzzer when I was the only one in line, but I can understand for a big crowd the usefulness. Good stuff. I'd compare it to JCW's or Culver's in the freshness and style.
