I have a mandatory list of "musts" when I come home to Utah... one of them is Criwn Burger. This time I enjoyed my Jr Crown (I can't eat the full size anymore!) and Onion Rings at this location. It's probably been 8-9yrs since I last ate at a Crown Burger and I am happy to report that it still taste as good to me now as it did then. The atmosphere is fun in the inside for first timers and kids with its slight Medieval theming and the service is also consistently good. I had the double cheeseburger with fries. We called to insure this was a location that carved meat from the cone for gyros & were told they were. While waiting, 2 groups (1 was a large, 3 tray order) who had ordered after us were served. We were watching for someone to carve meat off the cone for my gyro but he didn't, instead he took it off the grill. When I got back & tried to eat, it was so hard I couldn't chew it! The pita was no better, 1 side of it was just as hard as the meat. There's no way he could have missed this! The onion rings were no better, they were completely unsalted & the batter was hard rather than crisp. I had asked for ketchup & was told it was in the bag so I had to go back in a 2nd time for that after already going back in for salt. Thankfully the "crown burger" my partner got was decent. They have a variety of items on their menu, but I decided to try a classic Jr. Crown Burger and their cheese fries. My partner tried their chicken strips with a side of fries as well. The Jr. Crown Burger was a good size, I can't imagine how big a regular one is! The Crown comes with pastrami on top and it was very good. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was an immediate fan. This is a cult classic burger joint. Looks like it's been the same decor since opening, and the place rocks. Simple order at the front process, they'll talk you through the options. It was all new to me and the folks were kind and speedy also really fast food and a unique fry sauce. This place was packed on Friday at 1 but we still found parking, thank goodness. They also had a ton of people working so we really didn't have to wait long. My kids got kids meals. My 11 year old could barely finish and my 7 year old wasn't even close- they're very filling! I thought they'd have a gluten free bun based on previous reviews but they seem to have gotten rid of it. They said I could do lettuce wrapped though and it was actually fine. The burger is so stuffed with flavorful pastrami that it drowns out the lettuce. I really enjoyed it! It was PACKED when I came here on a saturday evening. In total, I had to wait about 15 minutes to get to get my order taken, and then another 15 minutes to get my food. Speaks to the popularity of the place, though! I ordered a junior crown burger, and my friend and I split fries and onion rings so we could try both. The burger was absolutely delicious -- definitely makes sense bring the item that theyre best known for. I've never had pastrami on a burger before, and this did not disappoint. It was the perfect texture and super flavorful as well. The onion rings weren't too exciting, I'd probably skip them next time. However, the fries and the FRY SAUCE were perfect!! Super crispy fries on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the fry sauce to accompany it was so good. Seriously makes everything takes 1000x better. The fries were ur simple but fresh and delicious.. now the chili fries I had mixed feelings about them. There was really no reviews on them and I was craving chili cheese fries. They weren't bad but they weren't great either. To me the chili is too thick I feel it should be a lil more liquidy :) the flavor was fine not too overwhelming but had a solid flavor. To me it was just too thick and didn't cover enough fry. Like u have to scoop it up and it'll fall off the fries if that makes sense.
