Olympus Burger has been my go-to burger and Greek joint since 2007. It's a staple of the Murray area, with great food, a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, and courteous service. I've tried plenty of gyros in the valley, but Olympus's reign at a comfortable height above the rest. The food here is good and hot. The burger is tasty, and the bacon is amazing. Their fries are bland and a little soggy, but their onion rings are tasty and bursting with flavor. There are no substitutions for the combos. The service is okay. I understand that service workers are overworked and underpaid, but I felt that their person taking our order was curt and snappy when I simply asked to have the fries substituted with onion rings (and I was of course willing to pay an additional substitution charge). Olympus Burger is a local restaurant with a American-Greek menu. Burgers, gyros, and kabobs are probably what they are most known for, though salads and ice cream are both menu options as well. The staff is very friendly, and the service was fast. The food itself is good; I wouldn't give it any awards for being top of its class, but the burgers are solid and I enjoyed the chicken kabob. This is the kind of place that has probably been here for years and if you know about it, then you know! Despite looking like its straight out of the 70s, I was impressed with how clean everything was. Standard burger selection for a Greek broiler around here. Good prices, and tasty burgers served up fast! Some other reviews mentioned that the quality may have dropped off recently and that they've switched to some frozen items over hand cut fresh stuff. This may be the case, but I didn't notice any frozen flavor on my fries! The 1/4lb burger with pastrami really hit the spot, and while they were hot, the fries were awesome with a generous dollop of fry sauce. There is a drive through hidden in the back. Walked down to Olympus Burger for a quick SLC burger. To my dismay I didnt order the famed burger with the pastrami on top I did order the regular double patty olympus burger. In town from Montana and we usually go to Best Chicken and Ribs for our Greek fix but they are closed on Sundays. Liked the reviews for Olympus Burger and thought we'd give it a shot. I had the chicken souvlaki platter which was good and my husband the gyro combo meal. That gyro meat was THE most horrid thing I have ever witnessed be served anywhere. It resembled rawhide dog chews and were equally as hard. You can see in the photo you could hold a piece of the meat and it wouldn't even bend. We knew the moment he unwrapped it, it was inedible and how they even thought it was okay to serve that is beyond me. Best Chicken and Ribs blows this place out of the water. A bacon cheeseburger with the works, and a side of crispy fries are one of the great joys of life. I eat this scrumptious meal at least once a week. I've tried every hamburger joint in the valley. Olympus Burgers ranks up there with the best. In a way, it is unfair to review these kind of establishments as a whole because I never order anything but a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a lemonade. When I walk into any restaurant with the word "burger" in the name, I'm just not interested in anything else on the menu. Be that as it may, this place rocks out my favorite meal as well as anyone. Olympus Burger has been around for over 10 years and you can tell because the restaurant looks really old. There's two locations in Utah, one in Sandy and this location. I am a fan of the Sandy location, but was a little hesitant to stop at this location because it's never busy. In fact, I rarely see anyone in here. I stopped by one night because I was craving their 1/4 lb. char grilled bacon cheeseburger. People rave about their burgers and in my opinion, they're just okay. Yes, its char grilled. And yes, it's dirt cheap at less than $5.00. Their 1/4 lb. burger is small and on the greasy side. It's still good enough satisfy my burger cravings. It's their grilled chicken sandwich, the breakfast sandwich, and fries that I recommend. The breakfast sandwich is made with two thick slices of bread about the size of Texas toast, two slices of cheese, at least 3 thick slices of bacon, and two scrambled eggs. If you're a fan of cheese, bacon, and eggs, then you'll enjoy their breakfast sandwich. If you're a fan of a good grilled cheese sandwich, then you'll love their breakfast sandwich. You're missing out if you haven't tried it. It's also a deal at only $4.35. Like I mentioned earlier, this restaurant is little old and it's not visited as much as the Sandy location. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. Olympus Burgers is not just limited to burgers, grilled chicken, and breakfast sandwiches. They also specialize in Gyros, a ton of other fried sides, more sandwiches, shakes, and Baklava. Obviously, I'm a fan and would be here a lot more often if they were open for breakfast. read more

The gyro with the beef and lamb it tasted dry and couldn't figure out all the nasty flavors in there....and for the yogurt sauce, they put this thick disgusting cream sauce, tastes like it's out of a can ..,..the sandwich is unbearable I don't remember it being this bad...But I tried their gross disgusting french fries.,.. oh my ..... this place needs an overhaul... as a deliverer, my job was to make sure the items packed matches the order by checking the receipt or at least count the boxes. when I arrived to this restaurant to pick up the order, the customer service asked me to confirm the order immediately without giving me the bag or receipt. I asked to see the receipt to verify all the items they marked as packed, but she refused to show me the receipt but kept telling me to confirm the order from the app. I told them if I confirm without seeing the receipt then I cannot compare the order later. Then the owner/manager said I can only see the receipt not the food. I said and that's what I was only asking for. Seeing the receipt was the minimal trust to make sure the order is packed correctly according to what customers purchased but for some reason they kept on refusing to show the receipt. Later they finally showed the receipt then told me "get out, I don't want customers like you. get out". How rude and sneaky these people were. read more

Though we don't know the owners personally, they always make us feel like we do...asking about our family and making sure everyone is doing well. the pastrami burger is our one great contribution to world cuisine. I am hereby making the argument that it should represent Salt Lake in the same way that the cheesesteak represents Philadelphia, the Chicago dog and/or Italian beef represents Chicago, and the loose meat sandwich represents somewhere I drove through in a half-delirious frame of mind in Iowa. with that said, I believe that the concept of the pastrami burger can be improved upon by replacing the mundane bun with the miracle of science known as toast (to this day I can't figure out how the application of heat transforms sliced bread into something so amazing). I know that other places sell the item known as the golden burger, but Olympus does it best. garlic toast + a ground beef patty + ample amounts of pastrami + fry sauce + yellow-orange cheese + the standard hamburger accoutrements = absolute perfection. I wasn't behind the naming of a state firearm, but naming the Olympus Burger golden burger as the state sandwich is something that would redeem said action and cause me to reevaluate my largely apolitical stance. the Olympus Burger fries are also crispy and super good. and the gyros are legit should you not be in a burger kind of mood. read more

My absolute favorite fast food Greek restaurant I have been to. It looks like a regular burger place from outside but one you are inside you can tell this place is different. The owners are extremely friendly and almost always one of them is around. My favorites are the gyro with fries or the pastrami burger with fries. Almost nothing is better to dip fries in than a good tzatziki. They have some of the best. Perfect consistence with delicious onions and cucumbers mixed in. If you are a new comer (and even if you aren't) to Greek food they also have an amazing Greek sampler place the comes with so much food I usually split it with 2 more people. Don't forget to end you meal with some delicious rice pudding. I am not one to go for dessert but I wouldn't pass it up. read more

I'm rarely in this part of town, but happened to be there today and was, as usual, under a time crunch. I happened to notice this place, thought of MC Free W. and pulled in after my last business stop of the day. After my confusion at finding the door of this uniquely shaped building, I finally found my way in to the tiny counter. This sort of brings up the first point is that it is very small inside. Neither here nor there for me as I was bailing anyway, but it is worth noting as I suspect this place could fill up in a hurry. Decor is nothing too fancy, but nothing negative, either. Service, as noted, is nothing short of phenomenal, with great friendliness. Pricing is about the same as the other Greek burger places, except for the dessert items. $2.70 for a tiny square of baklava, for instance, is absurd. The menu choices, while similar to Crown, Apollo, Astro, etc., seem more heavily skewed towards the Greek side of things than the others do. If I get down this way again and happen to have more time, I'm probably going to try some of them. I wound up just going with a bacon cheeseburger and nothing else this time. I'll just make this review a good/bad. The good was the bacon was fried exactly how I like it and there was plenty of it. The burger was also cooked well and they were overall pretty fast getting it into my eagerly awaiting mitts. The bad starts with the slightly stale bun and goes to the stack of lettuce they put on this. The depth of the lettuce layer exceeded all of the other ingredients inside the bun combined. For what is essentially a garbage vegetable, it figured prominently into the taste of this, at an almost intrusive level and also created an unpleasant layer of cold that the burger and bacon were not able to compensate for. In my view, if you've eaten at any of the other Greek burger joints, you've eaten here and in point of fact, the last burger I've had from both Crown and Astro I've liked considerably better than here. I didn't bother with the fries or a drink, so I can't comment on those, but the burger is the most important part anyway. I'd eat here again, if the circumstances were right, but would not drive across town to do so. read more

We had a little issue with something not making it in the bag that we ordered today but when we called and talked to I believe her name was Amamelia (I'm so sorry if that's wrong it sounds close to that) she was so so sweet and apologetic.
