They have a good variety of burgers and drinks, beer, wine, etc. I had seen them on some of socials and was thinking about the Wasabi Tsunami and Cuban Cigars which she asl recommended. I went with that and a beer. Also ordered the crispy fries which were separate. The Cuban Cigars were good. Crispy, salty and tangy with the dill pickle and mustard. They go great with beer just FYI. The Wasabi Tsunami was at first appearance a little small but looked good. I thought the burger was a touch overcooked and the panko breading was not as light and crispy as I was hoping. I wasn't sure if it was even panko breading but that could be because there's cheese and sauce added. The fries were ok, with some sort of breading but cooked in beef tallow. I might try the sweet potato fries next time or the onion rings. I do want to go back and try more things. They seem to have a variety and they do put time and effort into their food so that's always appreciated.

The size is enough to share but they give you one small ramekin with your choice of sauce for each order and they charged 40 cents for each additional sauce! What?!!!? What burger place that wants to make it charges for extra fry sauce or ketchup? Why isn't mustard and ketchup just on the table? We also ordered a Caesar salad that was made with field greens. I've never in my life seen a Caesar salad that wasn't made with romaine lettuce. The menu just said lettuce so I assumed it was romaine. The prices are a little above average I think for a below average burger. Our bill was $88 for 3 burgers, one with two extra patty's. 2 sides of fries, a sort of Caesar salad a Diet Coke and a beer. Also, they bring the bill out on a handheld machine and you can't see the itemization, just the total. I'm sure I could have asked for an itemized bill but I didn't. Definitely won't be returning. Every location I've been to have a ton of staff so your food comes out pretty fast. Most recently I tried the gyro, which has a ton of meat and fresh tomatoes and red onion; the halibut fish sandwich, which was crispy and a lighter alternative to meat-focused menu items; the onion rings, which have a crispy, lighter batter than other places; and of course the burger, which is pretty much perfect. The shakes here are also super thick and large enough for two. Crown burger will forever be a must-visit place in SLC for me!

Then there's the food. I ordered the "Hot Mess," and true to its name, it was hot and a little messy, but totally manageable. The bun was toasted (a non-negotiable for me), and the sauce was exactly what I dream about: mayo-forward with just a touch of mustard, no ketchup in sight. It was a genuinely delicious burger. Going in, I was impressed by the story being told, with burgers that seemed to be top quality, made with a combination of Snake River Farms and ground chuck. The fries were lightly fried once in beef tallow, and then fried again when you order them, similar to Belgian style. Everything sounded like they were super thoughtful so I was looking forward to greatness. What I ended up with was, well, "good". This is of course, a bit subjective I guess but while the burger was decent and had a nice bit of pink inside, (also, shout out for the bun they used which was absolutely perfect to be honest), it tasted a bit dense and preformed, so biting into it gave you a bit of a "quarter pounder" taste instead of being super juicy and loose consistency, if that makes sense? The fries were fresh and tasty but perhaps a bit more limp and oily than I would have preferred, as if the oil temp was a bit low?
