Hall Pass has been a staple close to my heart for years, but tonight when we went in the vibe was completely different. The place was pretty packed, as is usual on a Saturday evening, and when we found two open seats at the bar we were informed they were reserved by the general manager. We found some extra chairs and took them to the end of the bar and were IDed as soon as we sat down, as is normal for a bar, but when we tried to order we were instructed they were classified as a restaurant and we just order food. We've never encountered this before at Hall Pass and are very familiar with Utah liquor laws as residents of the state who frequent both restaurants and bars. When we ordered drinks the bartender told me she could not make the cocktail I've been ordering there for years, when pressed she said they don't make it, I was not served the water I ordered at the same time. When I scanned the menu QR code I waited about 5 minutes and the request kept timing out, so I pulled out my second phone on another phone service, same issue. I asked for a physical menu and they said they didn't have one and suggested I connect to the wifi but gave no instructions before walking away. My partner was finally able to pull up a menu and there were only basic drinks, no special cocktails anymore, just basic drinks. When we tried to order a beer the bar tender asked again if we were ordering food before they would serve it. I couldn't tell you about the current state of the food, we left soon after we were served one beer. The service and drink menu are so different that I wonder if this place is under different ownership or management. It seemed like we weren't welcome tonight. RIP to an old favorite.

The whole look of the inside of this gigantic food cart is beautiful and amazingly well designed. And the great variety of little restaurants is crazy. They have burgers, BBQ, fish and chips, etc. I decided to try out Codspeed and there they have a fish sandwich that is called the "Cod Stewart". So tasty. And even tastier were the Garlic Parm Tots. Some of THE best tots I've ever had! And they even had those big, red Coca-Cola cups like they used to at sit-down Pizza Huts back in the day. If you're at The Gateway in SLC and you're looking for quality num-nums, this is the place to be!

Very straight forward food hall at the bottom of the complex under the movie theater. There are about 4 different options for food inside. Not a super huge space but decent overall. Outside is a nice hangout space.

This place is super cool! They have lots of seating all around. A full bar and a variety of restaurants to choose from. We always thought this place was like a sports bar but when we came inside we were shocked to see it be completely different. There are about 5 different places to choose from to eat. I went to the place and got a gyro bowl. My wife went to skinny fats. The gyro bowl with lamb meat was delicious! It was my first time and the lady helped me understand how it all worked. Also answered all my questions about the meat portion weight and ingredients in a few times. Would up getting a gyro brown with lamb and extra meat and it hit the spot! I did leave out a few ingredients but it was worth every bite! I will be back!

Tried out HallPass food hall and they have a good variety of restaurants. This food hall has a rotating set of restaurants that bring different dining options including seafood, chicken sandwiches, rice bowls, Greek food, BBQ and much more to satisfy all taste buds! The food hall was very festive and well-decorated for the Christmas holiday and very usually appetizing. Great place to grab a quick bite!

HOG & Tradition Smash Burger is spot on. Lightest two patty smash I've ever eaten. Always judge things right off the bat after taking the first bite would I order it again, 100% would do so and probably will before I leave.

We decided to make a pit stop in Salt Lake City for lunch and HallPass sounded like it had lots of options. We were a bit leery that we were walking into a mall food court but were pleasantly surprised by the food options and quality. The hall looks like a lot of the newer food court options popping up in major cities. Different restaurants all housed in one location with plenty of seating and a large bar area. What really won us over was that the food was really deliciously good. So much so that a couple of our friends bought more to go for dinner. We ordered at SkinnyFATS and Hog and Tradition BBQ. The Balsamic Bleu salad with grilled chicken, poke bowl, brisket and Cuban sandwich were delicious! A friend ordered the peach cobbler and it was amazing. Service was good, with an order and pick up you are kindof on your own but everyone at each of the restaurants were helpful and friendly. Glad we stopped by!

I always love food halls, because they always have such diverse food choices. There were so many nice places to choose from at HallPass, but I decided to get the gyro which was $13 and came with the gyro as well as a side of rice. I thought the gyro was pretty good and the size was great for being $13. I do wish the gyro was a little warmer. The rice was also good and I loved the lemon touch. I also ordered the Strawberry Dreams drink which was coconut rum, strawberries, coco loco house mix, lemon juice, and berry mix. I was expecting it to be bigger, but given the price, not too bad. I thought the cocktail was great; I do wish it was sweeter, as it was more on the tart side than I thought it would be. Overall, great experience at Hallpass; loved the ambiance and they even had a DJ playing when we went. The service was slow for the drinks, but food came out quickly.

Good tunes, good seating, good food. Came here on a Friday night, right before the final Jazz game of the season. It was pretty packed but still manageable, made for a fun start to our game night. Came to "Lamb and Feta" - obviously Mediterranean. I got the bowl with lamb and chicken. Just an fyi, the bowl is large and contains LOTS of meat. I'm never complaining about that. Also has tomatoes, pepperccinis lettuce, rice. I saw someone with chicken and waffles and it looked good. Will order that next time.

Love a good food hall with a solid blend of different food / drink styles for patrons. It's nice to be able to go to a spot that offers something for everyone while still being able to sit together to enjoy it all! They have a solid variety of options to choose from and a full bar on the front side as well. We arrived right before everything officially opened for the day, so we didn't need to wait in any lines and food / drinks were quick to come up after being ordered from our respective selections. Price points for the various locations are reasonable! Overall: A Great spot to get a good mix of options for your group and still enjoy a fun location with a full bar!

Food was delicious, service and staff were great and the ambiance was fun and upbeat with a lot of different food options to choose from! We went on a Sunday around 1pm, and found that most places were out of a lot of their popular meats/meals (we had only steak because they were out of chicken for the kabobs), kind of a bummer but the meal was still insanely delicious and well worth it!!

They didn't tell me it was a carry-out location with only limited outdoor seating...so I was surprised when we got there. They have about 6 metal tables with bench chairs on their semi-covered patio. We ordered our meals on the kiosk outside the pick up window. We got a mix of chicken strips (one mild, one medium, one hot) and a hot sandwich. We each got French fries and a drink as well. The chicken looked great...larger pieces with ample breading and spice. I enjoyed my strips and medium heat was just right where my tongue was burning but didn't wreck my stomach. However, both my boys struggled with their hot chicken. My youngest couldn't finish his meal but my oldest soldiered on and finish but he was hurting the next 24hrs. The fries were the lowlight of the meal...minimal flavor and not too soft in the middle. I basically used mine as a heat sink in my mouth. The staff was amazing as we kept needing refills on drinks and water, and they walked it out to us on a tray several times. I can see this place being a popular grab and go or food delivery service spot. We were happy they had the walk-up ordering as well so we could experience it. Thanks Pretty Bird!
