Was visiting for a work trip and got in early. A coworker and I stumbled on this cute place. It's a cute local spot for breakfast/brunch. Everything seems to be so fresh! And the potion sizes very good. Our server was good have good recommendations. Plus we didn't feel rushed even through we came an hour before they closed. Good find!!

Came here for the first time to celebrate Valentines with my husband. It's definitely a popular spot (1hr wait time) and I can clearly see why: hands down one of the best upscale breakfasts I've had in a while! My husband got the Vegetarian Burrito and I got the Florentine Benedict! Both were excellent!! I'm picky about breakfast potatoes and the ones that came with my Benedict were amazing! Service was great! Especially considering how busy they were! Everything was very efficient!! Fun decor and ambiance! Definitely worth the wait! Can't wait to come back and dine again!!

Our server Jasmine was awesome! The inside is small and quaint. They have a large outside patio. The only con was parking. It's street parking only. We came in an hour before they close at 2 PM and didn't feel rushed at all. I ordered the Corned Beef Poutine with roasted potatoes, an over easy egg, and an aioli type sauce I believe. My friend accompanied me and ordered their breakfast sandwich that had a delicious rosemary herbed bun, egg, and bacon. She asked to hold the horseradish sauce. It came with tater tots and a cilantro type dip on the side. So yummy. I'd definitely return to try other menu items.

I have been wanting to come here for sometime and so glad I did. It might be my new favorite. This is a great and vibrant place. Friendly staff, great food and very reasonably priced. Bathrooms are even fun to visit. I would recommend using the Toast app to reserve your spot in line. However if you don't, don't worry. You won't wait too long.

I average coming here every other month because I'm bringing friends or family here. It's a great spot with lots of options. The service is so nice and friendly even when it's busy. The patio is awesome even on cold days they have inclosed it and put heaters out there. The lumber jack skillet is still my favorite and the table shares French toast with savory entrées. The tower of two is a fun brunch idea when you want a little of everything and need to elevate the experience. This place gets busy so come early on weekends. I love going mid week for a work meeting if possible. Parking is on the street and you can usually find a spot close. This area has unique shops that open at 10am if you can stay and explore.

Top tier: sourdough toast and homemade cream cheese - tower for two

From the moment we walked into Skillets, we felt taken care of. We were seated right away at the bar, which ended up being the best seat in the house. Watching each plate come out of the kitchen was like witnessing edible artwork being carefully crafted and delivered. Every dish that passed in front of us looked intentional, colorful, and beautifully plated. You could tell this place takes pride in what they serve. My husband and I ordered the Tower for Two, and it was so much more than a meal, it was an experience from the very first bite. Each tier brought something completely different to the table, both visually and flavor-wise. The top layer featured perfectly toasted sourdough with three homemade cream cheese spreads: basil, chive, and cinnamon sugar. The basil was bright and fresh, easily my favorite, while my husband completely fell in love with the cinnamon sugar. He kept saying it brought him straight back to childhood, and watching him savor each bite made it even better. The middle layer was pure fun. A waffle cut into ideal dipping portions, surrounded by pistachio, Nutella, and caramel sauces, plus fresh fruit slices so you could curate the perfect bite every time. Sweet, nutty, creamy, each combination felt like a new little creation. Then came the bottom layer: hearty, savory perfection. Crispy breakfast potatoes and tater tots, sausage and ham, all topped with scrambled eggs, bacon, and microgreens. Every component was cooked exactly right. Crispy where it should be, tender where it needed to be, and beautifully presented. Ash was our server, and she truly elevated the entire experience. She made us feel comfortable, had a fantastic sense of humor, and kept me laughing throughout the meal. Even while hustling and managing multiple tables, she never missed a beat. She was attentive without hovering and made every table feel important. It was also so cool to watch the staff as a whole. The servers, cooks, and hosts worked together seamlessly, helping each other out, moving around one another effortlessly, almost like a choreographed dance. You can tell this team genuinely cares about one another. It feels less like a restaurant staff and more like a family, and that energy creates such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a breakfast or brunch spot in Salt Lake that feels special, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable, this is it. We already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

So happy that they officially have a spot and it's not just their food truck! Their menu is simple and delicious. Everything I've gotten so far has been great. I decided to try the tater tot skillet which has carnitas meat. I found the meat to be a little bland but you could always add salt yourself. But over thing else went well with it. Tots are always crispy as usual, it comes with a green sauce that is tasty. Overall place was great, quick service and staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Honest dine in review: 5/5 worth the wait and worth the trouble in finding parking! Being from out of town. Driving through on the way back to town. You're always left wondering... what's this cities "bite", you know... the one that makes you come back for more. Skillets is just what you can think of when you say, hole in the wall, or comfort food. It screams, authentic, just by the passion that you feel as you're welcomed warmly by the staff. Shout out to the waitress and hostess we had, definitely service you want on a busy Saturday! You came for the review, tap in below: -The Skillet Poutine: 5/5 Signature hollandaise sauce married to a cheese melt that while heavy gets neutralized but a braised beef that's savory in nature, and decadent in mouth watering fashion. All over a crispy potatoes that's herbaceous forward while not overtaking the experience. Balanced and just paired perfectly to an egg yolk that's prepared perfectly over medium. You have a taste bud adventure that's texturally pleasing while maintaining its integrity as a dish that brings in a culture fusion of Canadian poutine to Venezuelan flavors and American spuds. Simply well put, and signature in essence. -waffle fondue: 5/5 Dessert? Or just sugary heaven for breakfast? You pick. Influencers and tik tok brought us to this delicacy as it's unique and something you don't find anywhere. Between a smooth textured waddle to a crisp dip-like fry that you're pairing to 3 different fondue's, you're committing to a smile and a pucker as the fruit pairs for that tart you'd expect after eating something sweet. You get a nice mouth watering finish to a meal that tells you this craft is just special.

    Monte cristo
    Janae I.

While deciding where to get breakfast, the menu with the Monte Cristo won out. We didn't have any wait at all, which was great. They have a really cute outdoor seating area, but we ate inside. With whipped cream piled high on my hot chocolate, we got off to a really strong start. My Monte Cristo was good. I should explain that my standard for Monte Cristo sandwiches are from the Blue Bayou at Disneyland, which obviously is completely unfair. So if I can set that aside, I can say it was really good. It was good enough to take home, and reheated well in my air fryer later that night. Our server was super friendly and nice, which makes all the difference. Our food came out quickly, which is good for some starving millennial ladies. So many things on the menu look so good. I am excited to come back. It's definitely one of the best breakfast spots I've tried downtown. Give it a go.

-food 10/10 the 3 tier thing was so good and had the perfect amount of savory and sweet - wait time- it was a holiday so we weren't able to join the waitlist ahead of time but it still went by pretty fast and the host was on it! - would definitely come back!

SL has so many great breakfast and brunch options and Skillets has to be right at the top of the list. We got there a little late for lunch but had breakfast anyway. Remember they're only open until 2:00pm. We sat out on the patio and even though it was 91 degrees outside with the water misters it was very pleasant on the patio. We wanted to get a feel for what they offer so we ordered two of their top choices, the French Toast Flight gives you the chance to try not one but all three of their French Toast. They were all very good but in order of my preference, Cinnamon Toast Crunch FT, Original FT w strawberries, blueberries and a strip of bacon, Nutella cookies and cream. Glad my wife was there to share it with me. 5/5 They won the award for best breakfast burrito and once you taste it you'll know why. Probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. If you like breakfast burritos you should try this one. 5/5 Side bacon, I like mine a little thicker and not quite so crunchy. 3/5 Our server Jasmine was awesome, so helpful with great suggestions giving us a very nice feel for what they have to offer. We'll be back to try the cowboy skillet, waffle fondue, bacon sandwich, Monte Cristo.

    Tower & biscoff French toast
    Sef E.

Absolutely delicious food! We had the tower platter and biscoff cookie butter French toast and it was to die for. As a foodie family we enjoyed being able to sample so many options from the menu including their homemade butters, waffle fondue, eggs, tater tots, sausage, bacon and lots of fruit! The French toast was a true winner, so soft and sweet with thick cut bread. The service was quick and staff were very nice. The restaurant had many holiday decorations and creatively used lots of space for tables. There is also an outdoor patio with heaters, allowing you to bring your furry friends.

Dang! This was delicious! Our wait was 30 minutes... my friend's and I were a group of four with a 10 month old. They provided a high chair. The hostess was very good and working with people. Very good at politely setting expectations and engaging and kind. The young lady server was very helpful and her suggestions were spot on. Her name is Ash and she continued the lineage of exceptional service. We're already planning to come back. We have to have one of those towers!!!

On a Sunday morning at 11, there was no wait. I was surprised by this, but it looks like they may get busier in the afternoon. They don't take reservations, but you can get on the Yelp waitlist. The inside is cute with a decent amount of tables, and they have outdoor seating as well. Both the hostess and server were nice. For drinks, they have a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic options. They don't have Diet Coke, so I went for a raspberry limeade. When in Rome ya know! I'm soooo glad I ended up getting this because it was delicious. The perfect combo of sour and sweet. Also, it has chunks of raspberry in it, which I loved. I prefer the actual fruit to a syrup, so I really enjoyed this. My friend got the honeydew cucumber mint limeade and let me try it. It was really good and refreshing!! My husband got a coffee and it was good. Both mine and my friends husband also enjoyed a mimosa!! For food, we started with the mini biscuits and hash bombs to start. Their biscuits, of course, are amazing. The jam that comes with them was great. The hash bombs were good but not my favorite. I didn't love the quinoa and wanted them to have cheese or something to make them a little more flavorful on their own. They were a great vessel for dipping in the really good limeade sauce that came with them. Everyone liked their main course. My breakfast tacos were delicious!! They came with chips and salsa. The salsa is a limeade and mint salsa. I didn't love it, but it was fun to try. My husband got the biscuit bar with gravy and said they were the best biscuits and gravy he's ever had. My friends got the hoss and garden hash and liked them both. This was a little bit of a weird experience cause halfway through our meal the server let us know that another patron at the restaurant had paid for everyone there. I had never had this happen before, and it was such a pleasant surprise! This place is a 5/5 regardless, but it was def an added bonus. I'm excited to come back and try something else cause the menu has so many standouts!!
