The tri-tip salad, wild rice chicken salad, tri-tip sandwich and sweet potato fries are some of my favorite menu items here. I would recommend dining inside if you can. The drive thru wait has been abnormally long lately and apparently it's because they're short staffed after COVID. If you're ever at the Jazz Arena you can also get their food there. Other items I have tried are the blueberry ricotta pancakes which are a chef's kiss and the berry smoothie. I love their chipotle dipping sauce as well. read more

We come most Saturday mornings after our work out. There is never a wait; I almost feel like we're giving away our secret! This morning we ordered the egg white burrito and the regular breakfast burrito along with a side of avocado toast. As you can see in the picture, they don't hold back on filling the burritos up. And look at that avocado toast piled with actual avocado! The manager on duty delivered our food in a timely manner and was very pleasant. What a treat! This is a classy fast food place in both the atmosphere in the selection of food. I had a turkey soup it was delicious along with a grilled chicken sandwich that included melted cheese bacon arugula and avocado and of course I added jalapeños. It wasn't the most generous portion for the price but it was delicious. Everybody loved their food with one exception, the barbecue french fries went pretty much untouched. There's a Cubby's takeover in the Salt Lake valley! When a local couple wanted to mesh the husband's love for red meat with the wife's love of salad, the end result was the opening of Cubby's in Provo. From there came restaurants in Sugar House, Taylorsville, South Jordan, Lehi, Spanish Fork, and American Fork ... not to mention their food truck rolling through the valley. Now the arrival of the Cubby's in Draper, a much need refresher to the location of what once was an Applebee's. I've had, at times, my issues with Cubby's. The main issue: it's always crowded. It's hard to enjoy yourself when you have to wait for a table and when you get one there is constant bustle and a cacophony of sound. Now, with Drive-Thrus, that problem is mostly resolved. That's my only beef with Cubby's ... but the actual beef is very good. I've had the Mr. Beef, their thinly sliced Roast Beef, homemade Giardiniera, on a French-style roll ... you can have it undipped, dipped, or drowned in their great sauce. You also choose your spiciness level ... I went medium, which is a warmth that won't kick your butt. As for their fries, people seem to go nuts of the Rosemary Fries. I never cared for the taste of rosemary on anything, but the Maple Sweet Fries are an excellent alternative. On this day at the new Cubby's, I chose the Che: their Sirloin Patty topped with bacon. They use a Manchebo, a rich buttery, Monterrey-Jackish cheese perfect with the Brioche bun, shoestring fries, balsamic onion, fried egg, and horseradish. It's a hurricane, if a hurricane was a whole bunch of rich flavors and textures pleasing to most mouths and taste buds. It's great stuff. I can't attest yet to their salads, but I imagine dropping some Tri-Tip steak on top of some arugula and romaine and their other carefully chosen toppings and you'll have a fine salad, indeed. The food is ok. Sometimes it's super delicious and other times it's just ok. I think the portions are inconsistent. For example, we had a 1/2 tri-tip salad and 1/2 beet and goat cheese. One salad was about 1 cup ans the other was about 2 cups? Crazy. The kids meals a joke. The grilled cheese is a hamburger bun with American cheese (gross). The offerings with tri-tip are really the speciality here. The Chicago beef is super good but is also not available right now. Their speciality fries are not as advertised either. Melted cheese curds on fries, nope. Instead you get a cup with cheese sauce. You read that right. I actually called and spoke with the manager who didn't really offer anything other than saying that they'd make sure the sign is changed. We were even shorted kids drinks which we didn't realize until 20 minutes down the road. So, the food itself does taste good but the service, time to get food (30 minutes in the drive thru of 3 cars), and price for what you get is not good. I would try this place again but will need some time between for sure. read more

I am a huge fan of Cubby's but this is yet another disappointing experience at the Draper location. Went through drive through and was the only car but told to wait before ordering. Five minutes later I am wondering if they forgot about me. Got to the window and felt like I was a nuisance rather than a customer. Waited again, saw my sandwich come up but kept waiting for someone to come back to the window. No thank you, goodbye, etc. My cockadoodle-do was terrible. Overcooked and very spicy. Threw most of it away. What a waste of twelve dollars and a bad experience on top of it. read more

Delicious fresh ingredients and a wide variety to chose from. I was hooked on the salad and fries after my first visit. The citrus kale salad is amazing and every component is fresh and delicious. (I'd suggest paying the extra $1 for more cheese.) The restaurant is clean, inviting, and there is plenty of indoor or outdoor seating. HOWEVER, this is not a good "quick bite" the fastest I've received my food (salad and fries) after I ordered was 18 minutes the longest, 26 minutes and the rest of my party (even those who ordered after me) were done or half way through their meals. I'd recommend going earlier if you can since the line is out the when we leave at 12:30. I also met Cubby himself! I have a high respect for any eatery that the owner is visibly involved in the day to day tasks such as delivering food and restocking forks. There really is something for everyone at Cubby's and I look forward to many future visits. read more

Somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. Went there Saturday evening with my wife, and well (yawn), it was...ummm, OK. First they were out of Italian Sausage...as I was going to have the "Heart Attack" sandwich (Italian Sausage topped with Italian Beef). So there's that... I switched to the Tri-Tip and had the large size ("Big Dog") for $10.00, as Rosemary Fries were extra (another $2.50), and a drink (another $2.20'ish). So I was approaching $15.00 for a BBQ beef sandwich, fries (shared with the wife), and a drink. Yeah, a tad on the expensive side IMHO. My wife had a salad, and she liked it enough, but as she surveyed the menu, there wasn't anything there that really got her attention. She was still looking at the menu, then noticed I was ready to order. So she ordered her salad...but was going to speak up and suggest we leave and walk next door to Goodwood BBQ! This manager acknowledges they didn't serve enough chicken on their $12.00 salad and... her hands are just tied? This manager at least gave me a refund, so that was nice. But... just weigh the chicken in ounces like everyone else! What does the customer care if it all came from one chicken??? It isn't listed on the menu, "Disclaimer: only one chicken breast per salad, no matter the size." If the cows are smaller, do they have smaller burgers? This location has other issues. The drive thru is slooow. One time my french fries were in a giant ball all stuck together. Another time the lid came off the salt shaker into my fries, and they served it to me anyway. Two stars because, hey, I have gotten meals here that weren't messed up. They gave me a refund. But it is surprising to me how common it is that we have issues with this place. read more

Some highlights to try: Sweet potato fries: Very possibly the best fries on planet Earth Dragonslayer burger: One of Utah's best burgers. Amazing. First time at a cubby's! It was pretty good. I loved the scratch kitchen vibe. You have viewing windows to watch food as it's made as well. I had the goat cheese, oranges and beet salad. It was pretty good though it definitely needed more dressing on it. I also had the chicken poblano soup and that was delicious! I would definitely eat that again. I'm disappointed to be writing a 2-star review for Cubby's, because I had really high hopes when this location opened up in Draper. It's close to my work, I knew I really liked the food, they designed the space beautifully - what could go wrong? This is one of the filthiest restaurants. Anytime I've been in - busy times, slow times, whenever - the floor is visibly dirty with trash and grime, the tables are cluttered with the leftover food and napkins of departed patrons, the trash cans are overloaded, and the bathrooms are even worse than what you expect at a road trip gas station. Even when there are a dozen tables to choose from, there might only be 1-2 tables that are cleaned up. Service could use similar attention. The workers seem disinterested, distracted, like they don't want to be there, and they don't want to be serving you food. For a place with such a fun menu and signs showing pride in quality, you expect more from the service and the space. Not anything fancy, but at least like "Chick-fil-a pleasant". Is it so much to ask for "Chick-fil-a pleasant" when you're spending $9 on a sandwich? Still a big fan of the food. But would probably do the drive-thru or a pick-up order rather than go into the restaurant if I can plan ahead. My favorite are the sweet potato fries with maple sauce, and the black bean burger. 9/10 would order Cubby's for an office lunch, or pick it up to go home with it. But 2/10 would eat inside. read more

This location is relatively new, but it was busy on a Monday afternoon. I utilized the drive through and though my order was taken promptly, it did take a bit for the food to arrive. While this chain is not normally a drive-thru establishment, I believe that with some extra work, they can become more efficient in their delivery. The buffalo chicken has awesome flavor, but it was wayyy over sauced. I also had an order of sweet potato fries and those were delicious. Once this location gets the hang of it, I think it will be provide good service for those looking for a quick counter service lunch. read more

The drive through is ALWAYS a 10-15-20+ min wait. ALWAYS. It's crazy. Cars idling forever. Cars not moving for over 15 mins at a time. SLOWEST DRIVE THROUGH. I then called the manager after sitting in my car for 15 mins and not moving. He sat there and give me their list of reasons everything was so slow. Don't have a drive through if people can't get their food in a reasonable amount of time! Moms! If you have kids in the car, they will be screaming by the time you get your food. we came to this location for the first time last Friday. it was my birthday & i wanted one of my favorite breakfast foods before heading up to fashion place mall. a few months back i discovered the quinoa breakfast plate & now there's no turning back. if i ever want breakfast & i just want something nearby, cheap, simple, & healthy this is what i want. my husband tried it out too for the first time ever since i'm constantly raving about it. we got here just on time before breakfast ended, before 11:00 am. the place was almost empty, maybe 2-3 other people were there so we could sit where we wanted. this location opened up last year & it's a gorgeous space! the employees were friendly & the food was out quick. i also noticed signs for green smoothies that i've never noticed in lehi or AF, so i'll have to eventually return to give those a try! food was great as usual, seriously give the quinoa plate a try. my husband enjoyed it but it didn't fill him up- it's the perfect amount of food for me however! read more

Arrived today for a quick lunch, and because if a gift card offer. Parking was full and busy (peak rush lunch time) but with the mall parking it was no problem to find a spot. The place was clean despite all the crowd, and the bathrooms were clean was well. I ordered with no major problems and found a seat (it was packed but fortunately one or two tables still had a spot). There was only a 3 minute wait to shake delivery this time, and 2 or 3 minutes after that, my sandwich arrived. The blueberry buttermilk was a bit more thick and creamy, no bitter buttermilk taste like I was expecting. Nice levels of fruit and sweetness. The sandwich was a big dog tri tip and it was very filling. There was a good toast to it and plenty of sauce, but still some parts of dry bread which may or may not be to your liking. I really appreciated the quality ingredients used, and in general that makes the price worth it. My meal cost ~16$ which is pricey but most people would make two meals out of that size of sandwich. Service was good. I didn't feel special and it was a bit rushed as it was the lunch rush, so pretty good considering. But the speed was definitely fast which was impressive. I won't typically go here on my own, I think I'm just not big on Chicago style, same for some of the pizza and calzone places around here, but I can recommend it as a fast, high-quality eatery to get your sandwich on. read more

Love the concept behind this place - a mix of healthy options for when you're feeling like making good choices (salads smoothies etc) and some even more delicious alternatives when you're feeling like living your best life. Interior is clean and very no frills diner set up - kind of a cross between chipotle with that lofty feel and an in-n-out. Service is a bit slower than most fast casual and I wouldn't recommend the drive through if you're looking for a quick bite. Salads were pretty decent, albeit sized a little small. The fries and sandwiches is where cubby's really shines. Chicken sandwich was great - they use ciabatta which I love. But those MAPLE SWEET POTATO FRIES were AMAZING. Probably a heart attack waiting to happen like all good things in life- but they tasted like someone turned a cinnamon roll into an appetizer and I am all about that life. Plus, you can almost convince yourself its basically a salad since sweet potatoes are 'good for you' (just go with it people). We arrived around 11am for lunch, which I didn't think was too early for lunch but they were not ready to serve lunch, only breakfast. And when lunch was finally cooked and arrived, it was cold. Not sure why it would be cold when we were one of the first (if not the first) to arrive for lunch. Plus, my Houdini burger which was supposed to have crispy onions on it arrived with only one thin and pathetic onion. Maybe they are just working out the kinks, I'm not sure. read more

We've been to another location, and while it was not our favorite place it was decent. I really enjoyed the tri-tip sandwich at that location, so I went with the same choice at this location. I was hugely disappointed when the beef seemed off on this sandwich. There was a slight scent and a fairly noticeable taste to it that were disagreeable. It also seemed tougher. I'm pretty picky about beef, so maybe I'm an outlier, but if we come back to this location I won't be ordering tri-tip again. On a separate note I was somewhat annoyed to discover that despite ordering ahead on the phone I had to wait in the same long line as everyone else to pay for my food. They have two registers, but they both just pull from the same line. After paying, I had to wait about ten minutes for my food to be ready. I had been told it would be ready in ten minutes when I ordered on the phone. With the drive to the store, the wait in the line, and the wait after paying, it actually took more than 30 minutes for my food to be ready. So either their time estimate was wildly off or they didn't actually make my food until I had paid, in which case ordering on the phone is a complete waste of time. With a bad taste in my mouth literally and figuratively from this visit, we're not likely to return unless we're dragged there by family or friends. Hopefully they just need to work out some kinks. read more

This is a very upsetting food establishment I love cubby's but do not come to this location I paid for my food the gypsy burger, sweet potato fry's as well as a drink. The total came to about 20.00$ and after I received my food and got back on the road once I got home found they gave me the kid menu hamburger and no receipt.
