I'm beyond disappointed I'm not sure why they closed and they never said anything on their social media as to why I thought I'd give it a try despite the bad recent negative reviews on order to go. When I got home, I opened my order. I ordered three different boils and they were placed in boxes which I wasn't a fan of I like the bag. I'm able to reheat it if I want to with no issue. I ordered a pound of king crab (among a pound of clams and also a pound of headless shrimp that was both separately bagged because I like different sauces ) . they gave me one piece and a half that I know for a fact did not weigh a pound mind you they didn't even give enough sauce in the order of crab that was sufficient enough. (See photo) The clams was overcooked to the point. They were so small. It was smaller than a penny a dime really I've never had clams that small unless they were overcooked so that told me enough,. The macaroni salad was not the same it taste tasted weird with some extra seasoning on it like they were trying to mask something. My overall review is that something is going on with this restaurant that doesn't sit right with me. It seems janky why all of a sudden is your brick and mortar closed and now people have to only get food from you through to go & delivery. I'm very disappointed this has been a place that I have gone to for many years despite their 20% automatic service fee, I still continued to go, and I was very not pleased with what I received
This place takes reservations, so be sure to book ahead, if you don't want to wait. The place has a lot of booths, good visual of current sports playing. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The food is amazing!!! I loved every morsel we ate! I loved the oysters the most, although there was cracker shell in one of them, but I know not to chomp down but to wait and try to feel a shell. Despite that, it was delicious! It was my BFs birthday, so they went out of their way to do a huge production, which is awesome!!! I'll be back soon!!! Clean restrooms! Plenty of street parking!
I came here for the food walk and got a $6 mini Cajun snow crab boil. It was delicious and had a good amount of seasoning and butter. It came with a potato, sausage and corn. Service was quick and the crab tasted fresh!
I do agree with lots of the reviews about this place, I use to looove going here but service has definitely gone down. The flavors have totally changed I use to get 3 star which was perfect decided to go down to 2 and it' was so dang spicy I could barely eat it & server said she could just bring me a side of something less spicier.. like? I had barely eatin any of it. This place is at a great location and would be sad if it didn't get it together.
We did a create your own bag which turned out to be a decent price for seafood boil. The only seafood we included was head on shrimp which were super tasty. The sauce was good but I wished we got a cup of it and some lemon. The spice levels were also actually spicy, we got a level 3 and I definitely felt some heat.
I made a reservation since I had a voucher for $50 off the bill from Groupon. We were greeted when we arrived and quickly checked in and shown to a table. I brought my roommate with me on a Sunday night, so it wasn't that busy. For our first time, the seafood was decent. Louisiana crawfish are not in season, so they had some other local species. We went with the build your own boil bag since my roommate and I don't like mussels much and every combo has mussels (you cannot mix and match or sub anything from combos). Also, some of the lower tier combos are only available during the week, excluded on weekends. Crawfish: 3/5 - The sauce is good, but the flavor did not penetrate the meat enough, so I was dipping the crawfish back into the sauce in the bag. Shrimp: 5/5 - Shrimp was definitely a highlight. They're a decent size and you can tell they are fresh because the meat was so sweet and they were cooked perfectly. Clams: 2/5 - I think they were manila clams, but I personally would not get them again. Some of my clams were really sandy/gritty. I had a couple clams that I spat out because I am pretty sure by the taste/smell they were dead before being cooked. Dungeonness Crab: 4.5/5 - Who doesn't love crab?? It was really good, but on the mote expensive side of pricing. Getting 1lb of the crab is equivalent to 3 halves of the body + legs + claw of the crab. Lobster: 4.5/5 - Lobster was really good. 1lb is equivalent to 3 tails, so this is also on the more expensive side. But the meat was good and sweet as well. Potato/sausage/corn combo: 4/5 - what is a seafood boil without this?? The combo was great, and soaked in the sauce of our choosing. The sausage comes as a full link vs being cut into slices. And the potatoes are also whole baby potatoes as well. All in all, yes, it was on the more expensive side, but the food was good and service was very attentive. I'd go back again with my roommate for sure.
Came here to eat some seafood with my cousins and I specifically asked the waiter so many times "is the crawfish fresh or frozen" and he kept telling me that it is fresh. When he came back to take our orders ... I told him I want the crawfish only if it's fresh and he again reassures that it was . I wish if it was frozen he would just tell me because I would've ordered shrimp or any other seafoods . Anyways , surely enough the crawfish came out and it was frozen . I grew up in Texas and know exactly what fresh crawfish taste like . So it ruined everything because it didn't taste good . The only thing I enjoyed was the garlic noodles . Oh and come with cash because they will charge you 20% gratuity and 3% for using card.
I order from this spot all the time but this is the first time ordering king crab for my birthday and I am truly disappointed. I ordered take out and when I got home, I realized they gave me the smallest pieces. The crab is overcooked and frozen! I always get 3.5 spice but today is so unbearable. It's way too spicy, I ended up throwing the whole thing away. Mind you, I spent $200!!! I tried to call them and was unable to reach them. This is SO disappointing.
A few extra fees to keep in mind: - 3% credit card charge - 20% service fee which is calculated on your total before any discount - there there is an additional tip page during checkout but remember you have already tipped with the service fee - .50 bag fee if you have leftovers you want to bring home (** note: there were a few mussels that werent open after being cooked - if you see those dont eat them since there is a chance they are bad and could even cause food poisoning) Cajun restaurant located in international district! There are very interesting menu options such as fried alligator and various sauce options. Fast service and friendly staff! Overall gives the vibes of a casual cajun restaurant, although high price points for the food. We got the rajin cajun sauce which was a light, oily sauce. If you are into heavier flavorful sauces, maybe choose a different sauce. Shrimp was good but i wouldn't recommend getting the clam or mussels as the quality and saltiness is very inconsistent (ranging from normal to very salty) and there are bits of broken shells and empty shells. Staff informed us when we came about a 20% service fee which covers tip, but we werent informed about the extra 3% and bag fee. We received a promotion on 1lb of king crab legs which helped make the price a bit more reasonable, but its price was included in the service fee charge which shot up our subtotal. Would recommend checking out Crab season near east gate for a more transparent price point!
Average seafood boil but with really good service. This place is in the middle of Chinatown, and was pretty empty when we came in for Saturday lunch. They have TVs on every wall playing sports, so would be a good spot to chill. We got the free Cajun fries (Yelp offer), PNW boat, and the diggers. The fries were good, perfect amount of Cajun seasoning. The seafood boil sauce was pretty good as well, super flavorful, and I like that they gave an extra bowl of sauce. The seafood itself was okay. Most of the clams were empty, and maybe half of the mussels were closed. The crab was pretty good, but not the freshest I've had. The other fillings were okay - carrots, potatoes, and sausages. They soak up the yummy sauce which was good. The best thing was the corn. It was super juicy and sweet. For dessert we tried the fried bananas and beignets which were also okay. The fry on the fried bananas was good, but I would've preferred more powdered sugar and more banana lol. Most of the pieces were just hollow batter. The beignets were very doughy and were more like doughnuts than beignets. Also could've used more powdered sugar. The service was immaculate though, the server checked in on us multiple times and were super friendly and mindful. The end of the meal comes with hot towels and Andes chocolates which were amazing after all that work peeling seafood haha. Overall, this was okay. The pricing makes it not super worth given the quality of seafood. I do wish I could have a bucket of corn and sauce though.

Came for SRW which is a great way to try their smaller portions. The crab bowl came with one potato, corn, and half a sausage. I'm not a shellfish fan so I'm glad they had the crab-only option, which is pretty rare. It wasn't the best crab ever but it was very easy to tear apart with bare hands and it had good flavor. Impressed by this nice hidden place tucked away in the better parts of Chinatown. They also have a variety of sauce and spice levels.
I wanted to get on that boil but I was on stand by driving the party bus for PresidentialTranspo.com I didn't know how long the would be @ dinner @ another spot down the block so I went with the Cajun wings & the garlic noodles w/ Prawns they delivered. I'm a chicken wing specialist and they was falling off the bone hot and fresh & for the $9 I'll be doing pick up orders to go the noodles hit too I could hit it with the remix add mushroom and crab meat & it would really be special. Customer service was solid I'll. Be back to tap on some other items but these 2 delivered. I walk to the park across the street and enjoyed.

My crab legs was over cook food was way too expensive and definitely over price The sauce was unpleasant Some of my crawfish was still frozen.I ordered eggs with my seafood boil bag and they were all mushy and broken ..Half of my black mussels, were not open it's ridiculous the price that I paid for the quality of seafood that i Got definitely unsatisfied and I will no longer be a customer to Crawfish king read more

I've never had good seafood til tonight! I e you not been to one other place, and it was ok. But this place was money! Not only you can choose your own boils but also add your own sides. I like it! I ordered 1pd with head shrimp 1pd crawfish 1pd Dungeness crab legs Louisiana sausage spicy sausage And mixed veggies The seafood was very well boiled. Tbh there was some crawfish that had some dirt, but a lil dirt won't kill you. Shrimp and crawfish was well sized. Very juicy heads! The crab legs were already opened so it tasted better. Also they supply you with a cracker, opener and scissors. A tip for extra seasoning flavor for your bag of sauce. Order the house special, and squeeze the lime in a small dish but let the rind and juices soak in the juice for more added flavor. :D you'll wanna ask for extra limes for that! Also order a garlic bread to soak up the leftover juices after the seafood is gone.! So good! Total was about 106- 115 with tip. Because of good service. We asked for a lot of limes and it was way better. Experience wise they give you gloves and bibs to protect your clothing, the only thing imma do next time is bring my own surgical gloves to prevent the grease from dripping inside. Really enjoyed our visit here. Ordered shrimp, crab legs and crawfish. We got those with their most popular sauce and one star on the spice. I have to say everything was delicious. The crab was high quality as was the shrimp! The crawfish was good too but not as awesome as the crab or shrimp. We both thought one star spicy would be alright but it might as well have been no spice. I recommend going one up from where you think you are in the spice strength. Left full and happy overall. We're southerners and we're not far from the bayou, so seafood boils are our thing. Crawfish King was okay. There's a lot of hype around the place so we tried it. The sauce is spicy but not flavorful. They're missing the seasonings from this boil. It could be five stars if they add some old bay, Tony chacheres and a few other seasonings. We also got the shrimp fries with cheese sauce. The cheese sauce is thick, like you could taste the flour in it. There's a simple way to make cheese sauce without over doing it with the flour. I'm not going back bc we threw our food out once home but the drinks are bomb. read more
Great place for dinner! Came here with a huge group for my friend's birthday. It was a Monday night so it wasn't too busy, so parking wasn't that difficult to find. The server was really nice and attentive. He kept our drinks filled and made sure we got everything we needed. The food was amazing! Huge portions and delicious. I was definitely satisfied walking out the door. The bathrooms were nice too - even has a mouthwash dispenser! I usually don't like eating crawfish but this place changed my mind. read more

I had a spectacular takeout dinner from Crawfish King in the International District for Seattle Restaurant Week 2020. They are doing 3 courses for just $35. Between my husband and I, we had: - Crawfish etouffee appetizer, 5/5 - Jambalaya appetizer, 5/5 - 1 cluster of dungeness crab, 4/5 - 1 cluster of snow crab, 3/5 - 1/2 lb mussel, 5/5 - 1/2 lb clam, 5/5 - 1 lb crawfish, 3/5 - King's Asian zing saunce, 5/5 - House special Big Easy sauce, 4/5 - Corn, 4/5 - Potato, 4/5 - Andouille sausage, 3/5 - Thai tea macaron ice cream from Macadons, 5/5 - Lychee macaron ice cream from Macadons, 5/5 Online ordering was easy, and our food was ready for pickup right on time. They did a great job packing everything for takeout during the pandemic. They even packed the macaron ice cream in ziplock bags filled with ice! I love that it comes with cute bibs, gloves, and wipes in case you want to replicate a civilized restaurant experience at home, but honestly we just dug right in, made a mess, and took on the pounds and pounds of seafood as they are meant to be enjoyed. Pro tip: I kept the leftover buttery sauces and cooked a bunch of different things in them - chicken, fried rice, veggies, etc. The sauces definitely spiced up my meals for a whole week! read more
I've been coming to crawfish king for years now and every time I leave incredibly full and so so satisfied. You can make reservations ! Which saves you the trouble of having to wait longggg wait times during peak hours. All of the booths and tables are separated for covid safe dining The house easy sauce is so so so mouth watering. I could eat just the sauce on some rice as a meal. It's that good! The seafood selection is also super hearty and good quality. I usually get crawfish and shrimp with crab but for this picture it was for a birthday so we got the huge crab boat. It was spectacular. The prices are a little higher than other seafood boils around, but it's worth every cent! Deffffff better than crab pot or whatever that place is on the waterfront. I also like it better than the places in west and south Seattle And the restaurant is family owned so don't be too impatient with the servers when they're busy and have a ton of tables, Ray (one of the waitresses) is great and will strike up a convo with your table which makes the experience that much better! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I'm from CA so I was looking for something similar to boiling crab I read that Seattle had the best seafood this place was NOT it it had no flavor! And we got all of the flavors and mild my husband's got a spicier one and it sucked i was excited to eat until I tasted it they do give a lot for the pound there were 3 corns and potatoes and we got king crab legs. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here maybe I expected too much. But seriously flavor was so bad i couldn't eat it. We also got Cajun fries and they were soggy. Came here on a Wednesday night. We were here for Seattle Restaurant Week so we made a reservation beforehand. Apparently it was unnecessary, as the place was 80% empty when we arrived at 7pm. The options on the restaurant week menu were quite limited: 3 options for appetizer, 2 for entree, and 2 for dessert (macaron ice cream has more than 5 different flavors though). Since there were 5 of us, we were able to cover 2 out of the 3 appetizers, both entree options, and 4 different flavors of the macaron ice cream. Appetizer: We had the jambalaya cup and the gumbo cup. They came in a reasonable size (a bowl, almost the size of a small meal). The jambalaya cup contained sausages, beans and rice; the gumbo cup contained similar ingredients but was in a soup form. Both were delicious! Entree: We had both the Dig Me (crawfish, mussel, clam, 1 corn, 1 potato) and the Crab Me (1 cluster snow crab, 1 cluster dungeness crab, 1 king crab leg), in their most popular sauces (Cajun/King's/House special). The food was overall good (steamed seafood mixed with sauces, nothing special). The seafood was covered with heavy sauces so it was a bit hard to judge their freshness. The sauces were flavorful enough, but the difference among the three different kinds were not obvious enough to me. Because of the different structures, the seafood in Dig Me were soaked better in the sauce than the ones in Crab Me. The bag of Crab Me I had also contained 1 corn, 1 sausage, and 1 potato. However it didn't seem to contain as much crab as described on the menu. They both came in huge portion, but Dig Me seemed to have much more food than Crab Me. It makes sense since crabs are much more expensive. Dessert: Both macaron ice cream and creme brûlée were options but we all went with the first. We tried the green tea/Thai tea/jack fruit/durian flavors. They were AMAZING!!! I tried every single one and absolutely loved all of them. Whoever made these ice creams did a perfect job reproducing the flavor of the original fruit/drink in ice cream texture. I am fanatic about durian and I've had a lot of durians/durian flavored food in my life. This is definitely one of the best!!! They were so good that we asked our waiter for their brand name. Service: Fast and attentive. Auto-charge of 20%. Price: $33/person for Seattle Restaurant Week set menu. $42.93 tax & tip included - very reasonable for the amount and the quality of the food you get. read more

I came here for my friend's birthday. The restaurant atmosphere is like street food/a very very casual dining place. We ordered a giant boat (King's experience and some fried seafood appetizer for 8 of us to share. The boat was a massive feast- it has lobster, clams, crab legs, sausages, potatoes, and more. On the menu, it was recommended for 6-8 people but man... this is actually for 12 or even more people and we ended up packing so much back home. The food is very salty as you can see from the pictures that it looks like all the food was covered by the muddy sauce. The bill surprised all of us as a total of $800... which was a lot more pricey than we expected on having seafood in a casual Cajun street food style restaurant. read more

Really pleasant dining experience we had! I gave an extra star just on the service! I called a couple times before coming in to make sure we were adhering to their covid precautions. The lady I spoke with was very kind and informational. I didn't care too much for the seafood boil itself... we got the digger with added pound of shrimp and sausage. I was wanting more flavor. Maybe I'll need to try a different sauce... But the sides!!! The sides we had were good!! We had the fried alligator and soft shell crab! I would recommend having it with their voodoo sauce. The Tito's slush was super yummy I had them mix both cherry and blue raspberry! Finished the meal off with macadon's ice cream macaron sandwich *chef's kiss! My fav! [Take-out in April] Brought back home to eat for my girlfriend's birthday. It was special, so we had to make it a feast! Ordered a seafood boil for two which had all the seafood and meats we wanted to try with several sides including: garlic bread, oyster shooters, coconut rice, and some type of cheese fries. This was way too much food for two people as you can see from the before and after pictures, but we had it for several meals. It was a little on the pricy side, but it was definitely good. The utensils, table covers, bibs, and gloves were all essential to this whole experience of dining on our kitchen table. It was really fun and I would recommend this to anyone looking for Vietnamese Cajun food. read more

So this is a first. The wife and I were celebrating our anniversary in Seattle and wanted to eat some good seafood broil before we left for home. We went to this place thinking it was gonna be at least as good as broiling crab. Nope. The good Clams/mussels were both good. So was the corn. The male server was friendly. Bad The sausage was way too salty for our tastes. Ugly. It gets really ugly. We ordered 2 pounds of the spotted shrimp. Each pound of the spotted shrimp was $38/lb. You would expect that for that price you would get some of the most amazing shrimp ever right?? Nope. Instead we got frozen shrimp. I repeat, frozen shrimp! I knew something was off when the shell was super difficult to peel even though it was soft. And the taste, wow, it was pretty bad. The flesh was both super tough and unflavorful. Also, take a look at the rice we ordered. They obviously mixed yesterday's left over rice with today's. Just completely blows my mind. Would not come back here. If you come, make sure to ask if it's fresh (the female server said it was, which is a complete lie. The male server said it was frozen). read more

Was only in town for the evening and decided I wanted to try Crawfish King. Not for crawfish, but for snow crab! Along with muscles and shrimp. I built a Kayak with those three choices. It did not disappoint. So much food too. I had plenty to take along with me when I left. Drinks were pretty limited and not overly generous. A fun experience tho. Will return again I'm sure. The atmosphere is odd. Dingy and outdated and the staff was nice enough. I think somewhat perplexed by me dining alone. read more

I came here with my roommate to get some good seafood boil like the ones that I've had in Southern California. Unfortunately the food was a little lackluster and felt that it needed more tang and salt in the seafood boil especially. The fries were good but other than that, there wasn't much flavor in the food. read more

This place was a new experience for me and definitely liked it a lot. We ordered the 5 LB bucket for 2 adults and 1 kid which was a little too much but ended up taking Togo. 5 LB bucket had Craw fish , mussels, clam, snow crab and shrimp 1 lb each with some added veggies and a sausage. They forgot our Shrimp but later on enquiring we got it. Ordered 2 * spicy but it was a decent spice. My husband got the drink Bayo dream or something and said it tasted amazing and one of the best drinks he had so far. We also won a macaroon sandwich in the spinner but bummer they ran out of it . Wish they could have substituted it for normal macaroons. This is a rustic place and not really the best ambiance. The place is not so clean as well hence reducing a star. Food as such was good. I didn't like the customer service either, they did what was required but could have been more friendly. read more

I'm in Seattle for couple of days so of course I wanted some seafood . I decided to go to the infamous "Crawfish King." Let me say it is appropriately named. They just may be the king of boils. Upon entering I was promptly seated. My waiter was super helpful. I got a pound of crawfish, a pound of mussels accompanied by potatoes and corn. I was stuck between the Bayou sauce and the Kings sauce. The waiter recommended the Bayou sauce, which was a great choice. After a short wait a steaming bag of delicious came out. The food was so hot and fresh. The sauce was delicious and everything was great. I will say the potatoes could have used a couple of more minutes though. I wasn't able to finish everything in one setting as it was a great amount of food. I was very pleased with everything. Great food and great service. I would definitely come back. read more

We came in last weekend to celebrate a birthday, and the crawfish king did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly and inviting. Luckily we had looked at the menu ahead of time and had an idea of what we wanted to order. Simply amazing! The portion is huge. I'd say 2 LBs of shrimp/other seafood with a side of fries are the perfect amount for two people. That being said, I eat a lot. You may wish to order more or less accordingly. Not many people are here on the weekday for lunch. So no need for a reservation during lunch hours. The service is quick and friendly. Fries is typically served 5 - 10 minutes after your order and the entree is served about 10 - 15 minutes after your order. Since I like shrimp, which requires you to peel off the skin, I typically schedule a longer lunch break (say an hour and a half) if I were to visit here. It takes plenty of patience to peel off the individual shrimp. But trust me, it is fully worth it. I have only ordered its house special sauce and I fully recommend it. I haven't tried other sauces yet but I think they should be great. read more
