Every time I come to Seattle, I had to stop by Crab Pot for some yummy seafood and get my hands dirty. This time I decided to try a new place. After checking the review on Yelp, I stopped by Crawfish King in Chinatown for a similar experience. The service of the restaurant is really nice. The host showed us where their free parking lot is, and gave us a thorough explanation on how the menu works and which one has the most value. He also gave us some discount on using Yelp, and they have a Facebook "like for fries", and brought us some free Cajun fries. Make sure you mention that to them if you like fries. When I mentioned that some of us couldn't eat anything spicy, he also gave us some side spicy sauce on the house so others could taste. At the end, we got some hot towels to clean our hands. I have no complain about their service! We ordered the 5lb bucket, which came with 1lb of crawfish, shrimp with head, clam, mussels, snow crab and veggies. It also comes with three corns, and potatoes, which we didn't get to finish all. I was a little disappointed with how small the crawfish are. They are very tiny, and doesn't taste very fresh. Same thing with the snow crab, many of the legs are somewhat hollow, with very little meat. I regret to order the combo, because we are unable to switch out any of the included items. Next time, I'll definitely order each seafood separately, so I can try the Dungeness crab. We order the big easy sauce on the bucket, it was flavorful, but too salty for my liking. I was drinking a lot of water afterwards. We also ordered some sampler for appetizer. The zucchini is really good, jalapeño popper was enjoyable, as it's not super spicy. I really like to butterfly shrimp, and yam fries was a-okay. At the end, if you spend over $100 you get to spin the wheel of coupons. Many customers enjoyed that experience, who doesn't like to spin the wheels?! But I was a bit disappointed that 20% gratuity was added on for the bill automatically. To be fair, he did mention it before we were sat down, it was transparent. But I guess it's a trend nowadays in the restaurant industry. I've been coming here for years and they used to hit the spot most of the time. BUT, I just went today and I'm really disappointed. First of all they charge 20% gratuity service charge. I understand things have gone up post pandemic and I appreciate that they told us as soon as we walked in. However, we ordered drinks and they never brought them out. For a place that doesn't necessarily need to provide a lot of "service" when compared to other restaurants other than just bringing out our food -- the least you could do is bring out our orders correctly. Especially when you're charging your customers 20% service charge. We ordered 1 LB head on shrimp and 1 LB snow crab legs with the mini combo & a side of coconut rice. Our total was $100! Later I looked at their menu online and saw that the "kayak" is $65 and it include up to 3 lbs of food with the mini combo. I literally feel cheated like the business is just tryna hustle you. They should've instead mentioned the different options I could get for the same price. Then, when we went to pay, we were charged $50 for snow crab legs. I haven't been in since the pandemic so I remembered their earlier prices being closer to $30. When I inquired about the price change, I got attitude from the girl at the cash register saying "yeah where have you been, it's been this way." I wasn't upset at the price difference nor was I saying I wouldn't pay, just curious about the price change. She continuously insisted that this is how the price is now. I then told her I had a Groupon to which she rolled her eyes at me. I later went on their IG and saw they were having a 50% off snow crab legs if you show the page. How ironic. You're insistent on your prices to a customer yet that day itself you're having a deal on that exact thing? I'm disappointed Crawfish King. I've been here twice, and the food was utterly forgettable each time. The service was alright, but the prices and extra fees are ridiculous. I got my food in a butter and garlic sauce, and I could taste neither. I got the crab legs, but they tasted like nothing due to the weakness of the sauce and pretty sad quality of the crab itself. I can't believe they charge that much for crab legs that pretty much taste like nothing. I also got a fried side, but that also tasted like nothing, no real flavor whatsoever. It was such a simple dish too, I'm really confused on how they failed to deliver on it. The price of the food here should be about half what it is, considering what you're paying. The 20% forced service fee/tip is a slap in the face. If I'm going to get food that barely tastes like anything, I shouldn't be paying so much! It's not fresh anymore, they had frozen crawfish yesterday, which was ice cold inside (did not even cook good). We have the same sauce but it's not the same anymore. No more drift beer, no more "wheel spin give away/marketing fun, they took away even mouth wash in the bathroom. The place start looking dirty. They had only ONE girl working last night who was running around like crazy and the restaurant was super busy. I can't remember where I saw a post about this place but I wanted to try this out since I love seafood. We took a bus from our hotel near pike place. We still had to walk for about 10 minutes but, let me tell you the walk from the bus stop to this place wasn't the best. We walked fast not because it was scary but because there weren't any other people walking. It was not a good feeling walking by ourselves in an area we were not familiar with. Anyway, when we got there the windows were also boarded up. It was just the 2 of us and we got a diggers bucket in mild garlic buttet and a side of cajun fries. It came out pretty quick, bib and gloves are provided. It was actually good, a decent amount of seafood in the bag but only 2 pcs of corn and 1 sausage in the bag, lots of potatoes, some broccoli and cauliflower. Service was good, but if you do dine in they let you know right away that a 20% service charge will be added on the tab. We took an uber on our way home, if we knew the location or how to get there would make us uncomfortable we probably wouldn't make our way out here. They charge a 23% to even eat inside, I pasted that and sat down to eat and the seasoning and everything is honestly trash. I'm pretty sure they are skimping on portions for sure and they give you quarter sized potatoes. Another Door Dash night. We decided to give this place another shot a year removed from our last experience. The wife got the King Crab Legs Boil with potatoes, corn, garlic butter sauce, and no spice. I had the Fried Crawfish Po' Boy which came with two sides. I got the waffle fries and the Cajun fries. With delivery fees and tip the total came to $99.45. The wife enjoyed the crab a lot more this time. The legs appeared noticeable bigger than the last time; which of course was a good thing given how much we spent. The sauce was also good with loads of garlic. The Po' Boy was good but nothing overly special. The add-ons were kind of pathetic-- just a few tomatoes and a few stands of cabbage (that was supposed to be cole slaw). However, the crawfish was perfect. The waffle fries were great but the Cajun fries were blah--- soggy and I didn't care for the spice level. This place was so good I had to come back and leave a review. My boyfriend, mom, and I were in Seattle visiting back in June. My mom and I are big crawfish fans and it's hard to come by fresh crawfish here in Vegas. We knew we had to eat seafood in Seattle especially seafood boil. We called beforehand to check that they had fresh crawfish in stock for the day. We've had our fair share of frozen crawfish and try to avoid it if possible. We loved how flavorful it was. Our waiter was very helpful in helping us choose what was the best option for us as well. I got 1lb of crawfish and clam with the King's sauce. My mom got 1lb of crawfish with King's sauce. My boyfriend got 1lb of shrimp with King's sauce. On the side, we got gumbo and cajun fries which were delicious. We also got one of the frozen margarita's and it was pretty good as well! We decided to try a different place for crawfish instead of our go-to and was not disappointed. They have dine in option and we made reservations and it got seated right away. It was Friday so they had a promotion where you can get 5lb crawfish for $35 and it comes with a free Blue crab as well. We also ordered a basket of soft shell crab with shrimp etoufee and jambalaya. With Yelp check in , we also got a free order of Cajun fries (it was a lot of food). Crawfish - these are humongous! They are not your typical size crawfish, and there was a lot of meat in them. The blue crab was small and not really worth it. The sauce was also good. Soft shell crab - really good. I like the flavor and texture and the fact that you can eat the entire crab without having to do anything!! The jambalaya was on the dryer side and kinda bland so not my favorite. However, my boyfriend like it, so it's just a matter of opinion. I like the shrimp etoufee more, ot was flavorful and goes really well with rice. The fries was ok. Service was good. This is our first time here and we got the kayak with the bayou sauce and mild spice... it was delicious! We were here during a busy dinner time around 6pm Saturday night. The service was still very good...we were checked on several times throughout our dinner. At the end of dinner, we were also presented with hot lemon scented towels, which was very pleasant. We've been continuing to patronize Crawfish King during all this Covid mess but we have been getting more and more disappointed the last few orders. We used to be able to order on Gurbhub but I guess they decided to stop covering our area. So once a week my wife or I makes the trek from Issaquah to get us a Digger's Boil. Unfortunately it's been super inconsistent in quality and flavor the last few takeout orders. One order was flavorless and dry, one was way spicier than normal and our most recent order was under-boiled with tons of unopened muscles and clams. We ended up taking a large amount out and boiling them separately until they opened. The muscles were also poorly cleaned and most still had the beard attached. read more

The birthday boy loves crab boils so we decided to give this place a try. Seafood boil - We ordered 5lb bucket with the Queen's sauce (2 stars spicy level), substituting the sausage for okra. They also didn't have crawfish at the time so we got shrimp instead. We really enjoyed each of the elements in the boil, from the shrimp to the clams to the huge mussels - it was super delicious. We never had tamarind with seafood before but it worked well! Cajun fries - If you check in with Yelp, you can get an order of Cajun fries. I highly recommend doing this because it provides a break from the spiciness of the boil. Basket with soft shell crab, jalapeño poppers and fried pickles - In hindsight, we didn't need to order this because we had more than enough seafood to fill us up and take home. Complimentary birthday dessert - They were out of ice cream macarons so we could choose between two mochi or two macaron cookies. They played happy birthday music and brought the dessert with a candle! The service overall was pretty good. That being said, we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time (it was lunch time on a weekday). Today I share a review of one of my favorite locations. Crawfish king has now been one of my go to locations when I'm feeling Seafood for over a year now. They offer a wide selection of things including one of the most popular items "Seafood Boils". A Seafood boil basically let's you pick your choice of seafood by the pound and add in what ever you want. Example: crawfish, potato's, sausage, corn. It comes in a marinated bag of your choice and is a always delicious option. But to be truthful, the reason I love crawfish king is for the light bites and the meal and 2 sides options. You can get either an entree and 2 sides for $20 or a Po-Boy and 2 sides for $23. This is really a great deal for Seafood and trust me it is a filling meal. Today I ordered a Po-Boy with 8 oz crawfish, Mac salad and Gumbo as my side (showed in pictures). My wife ordered 8 oz of fried Alligator, Gumbo and Mozzarella sticks (Also shown in pictures). This was her first time having Crawfish King and also trying Alligator. She was blown away by how delicious the food was. In my experience the food is always cooked very well. They always give you exactly what you order and I've never had a complaint with them so far. I will say that every-time I've ordered Crawfish king it has been for takeout, so I cannot speak truthfully about how the dine in experience is. But from the friendly faces and greetings I have received picking up my food I'm sure you will enjoy the dine in experience. (I will have to make a review for that in the future). Even though Seattle has loosened up the covid laws the restaurant does still provides sanitizer and the staff appears to be taking safety precautions. Found this place through yelp while visiting Seattle because my friend and were craving seafood. This place appealed due to the large menu and combos I saw online. You get a free side of Cajun fries when you check in on yelp! I recommend the crunchy ones they were delicious. I ordered one pound of snow crab with their house sauce spice level medium, and added the mini combo. Which was 2 corns, 2 potatoes and 1 sausage. In my opinion totally worth the price. The quality of the crab was delicious, super sweet and fresh and very large pieces. In my opinion their sauce could use a tad bit improvement. I like it a little more garlic and some seasoning salt it was kind of bland really. And I ordered medium which I was expecting to be a little spicy and it was pretty mild. After visiting Hot N Juicy in Vegas, I was elated to learn that there was a similar place here in Seattle. I knew I just had to stop into Crawfish King and give it a try. PROS: TONS of food. Sharing is caring. We learned this the hard way and ended up with nearly an extra lb of food we couldn't muster to eat but it was worth it. Sides are super cheap. $5 for mini combo (two potatoes, two corn, and a sausage) $3 garlic bread, etc. Staff is friendly and will be more than happy to give you extra gloves :) Plenty of TVs to watch sports games Beer/Wine/Boozy concoctions on the menu and even dessert! All in all the food is delicious, there's no denying that. CONS: I was sad that they forgot the sausage in my bag as I had ordered the mini combo...I didn't bother to say anything however considering I had enough food for three people in front of me If you're looking for 'cheap eats' this place isn't it. Couple lbs of food and a couple sides and some beer...you're looking to spend around $100 for two people. You can certainly share though - we had more food than we could eat. Seasoning was so-so. Love this place!! It's slightly on the pricier side if you're comparing it to crawfish house down at white center - but the sauces are so much more flavorful! The first time I came here (about 2 years ago) the shrimp were not as fresh, so I was hesitant to order them again. But I ordered it again this time and it was delicious! Lots of butter on the side and their sauces all pack a punch. Black mussels and green mussels were big and fresh. One tiny comment though, I'd recommend that they don't use bleach/high strength cleaners when service is in session - I wasn't sure where it was coming from but I could smell it from where we were seated and it wasn't too appetizing.
