5/5 - Perfect Spot for Beef Noodle Soup This place absolutely nails it! The beef noodle soup is hands down one of the best I've ever had. The broth is rich and flavorful without being too salty or oily. Noodles were cooked to that perfect balance of soft and bouncy--exactly how they should be. And the beef? Melt-in-your-mouth tender. I've had my fair share of noodle soups, and this one truly stands out. You can tell there's care in the preparation, and everything comes together in a way that just hits the spot. 10/10, would come back again and again.

Always delicious here! Great service, friendly staff, and consistently tasty food. A go-to spot every time--highly recommend!

A hole-in-the-wall, esoteric shop in the midst of an unassuming Arcadia plaza (the infamous "Yogurtland plaza"). Although not the first place you would think to go to for a fancy sit-down meal, the quality of the food and friendliness of the service more than makes up for the modest ambience. My favorite dish of the night was the fried porkchop rice, which had the flavor, texture (still very crispy!) and depth of umami comparable to anything I had in Taiwan. Overall, would recommend a visit to this place when nearby in Arcadia for some real Asian comfort food.

I recommend... everything They accept credit card (minimum $20?) Frozen dumpling was cash only (for my order).

Tomato noodles

I wish I found this place sooner, it's so yummy! We ordered tomato noodles and beef noodle soup and both were amazing! Both dishes are full of flavor and had the most perfectly cooked noodles. The portions are generous and the meat is so juicy and tender. My husband and I will definitely be back :)

I really like their beef shank/slices. My children who are vegetarians really like their vegetarian bentos. I don't really know where else to get lu wei so this spot is it for me!

Call ahead to order but don't be discouraged if they don't pick up. There's usually only one person running the front and she's extremely busy! Even ordering at the store, the wait for your food usually takes about 15 minutes. I recommend calling before the 11:30 lunch rush!! I really like their special lunch boxes! The smoked chicken comes in a generous portion, I usually can split it for two meals. Their beef shank is also very tasty and comes with a yummy savory sauce. I also really like their sesame chicken thin noodles - so good on cold winter days!! They also have cold side dishes available in a fridge right by the door and frozen dumplings which are really good if you're too lazy to go out and get food. Just boil in hot water and enjoy!!!

I feel so lucky to live around the 626 area, there are so many delicious Taiwanese restaurants and Cozy Cafe is definitely one of them. It been 10 years since I visited Cozy Cafe. Restaurant is now under new owner but the dishes are still very Taiwanese and the flavors are much better now! During COVID, many restaurant needs to raise the price to survive, but Cozy Cafe kept the same affordable pricing while the portion is still the same! Once you enter the store, you will see the refrigerator with over 30 side dishes, its hard to try them all at once... Its hard to find a Taiwanese Restaurant that sells so many kind of the side dishes. They are all made fresh everyday in a very limited amount, if you wan to get them, make sure you call to reserve before they sold out at noon! I ordered Unagi Bento Box, Pork Chop Bento Box, Smoked Duck, Simmered Pork Shank, Fried Roll. Don't need to mention how delicious the unagi & pork chop is! The side dishes that comes with the bento, minced pork & vegetable is so good to go with the rice! DO NOT MISS the Smoked Duck & Simmered Pork Shank, its super popular & YUMYUM!!! - Fried Roll - Smoked Duck - Unagi Bento Box - Pork Chop Bento Box - Simmered Pork Shank

I used to like this place. But, both the food and service have gone downhill. Ironically, the price has actually gone up a lot!

Food is good in general but don't order drinks here as I just tried the kiwi juice salty taste and really spoil the appetite.

The broth was sooo flavorful, and the noodles were nice and soft. The lady helping us was really nice, and I liked that everything is ordered through a QR code, which made it super easy. I met a friend here for dinner and had a great dine-in experience. We both ordered their "Original Nagoya Mazesoba" $15.29 and got their Karaage $8.99 to share. It was my first time here and I figured the famous original dish is always good. The noodles are thick, and all of the strands had their own little bounce to them, just the way I like it! It arrives unmixed so I also enjoyed vigorously mixing it myself and seeing it all come together. I especially enjoyed popping the poached egg on top and seeing the egg oooozing, paired with the minced pork, green onions, chives, dish powder, seaweed, and garlic. They have really perfected the recipe here to make the perfect dry noodle dish! If you dine in, the servers will also bring you a scoop of rice. I didn't really understand it at first as to why, but I later finished my noodles and thought "oooohhhhhh!" FYI the rice is used to pick up the rest of the delicious sauce left on the bottom of your bowl and it makes for an extra carb-filled surprise. The perfect way to end a noodle dish by the way, with rice for more carbs, duh! My only feedback, and I was indeed warned by my friend, is that the noodles make you a little thirsty. My friend told me she thinks its their fish powder seasoning that somehow makes you just feel like you need to chug a glass of water, so just make sure to bring a little extra water with you, haha! Also, fair warning here since you made it this far to reading this long review. The seats were very loud to move around in the dining area, and we can just about hear every squeak the metal chair made when anyone moved their seat, too! Other than those things, the noodles are a life I've already been raving about Menya Hanabi to my friends and will definitely come back!

The highlight for me is definitely the spicy hand-pulled noodles with slow-cooked beef brisket. The noodles have that perfect, chewy pull, and the brisket is super tender and packed with flavor. Don't skip the pickled cucumber either--it's crisp, refreshing, and balances out the heat of the noodles perfectly. It wasn't crowded at all when I went, which made for a relaxed meal with quick, attentive service. The only slight catch is the shared parking lot, it gets pretty busy with all the other restaurants in the plaza, so you might have to circle once or twice during peak hours. Still, definitely worth the stop if you're craving legit Xi'an eats in the area.

We don't usually see specific Xi'an food around all the time, so my fiancé and I were excited to come back. Now we know, Xi'an Foodie has delicious, authentic Xi'an food here at affordable prices as well. We go all out when we are trying somewhere new for the first time usually, so we got 5 dishes for less than $75 including tax and tip. We ordered the 1) Smashed Cucumber Salad 黄瓜, 2) Sesame Sauce Cold Spicy Noodle 凉拌辣面, 3) Li Lao San's Lamb Stew with Flatbread / 李老三牛肉泡馍, 4) Li Lao San's Cumin Lamb Hamburger / 李老三孜然羊汉堡, and 5) Youpo Noodles with Braised Beef Brisket, Beef Paste & Fried Eggs with Tomato / 油泼+三合一. First, they have the best Cold Noodle (Liang Pi) in SoCal that I've had - they are amazingly chewy and wide, and their tangy savory sauce is the best. When I think about liangpi, I'm definitely going to Xi'an food for another slurp of these noodles mmmm! I also haven't had Li Lao San's Lamb Stew with Flatbread / 李老三牛肉泡馍 in a while, so that was a must-get. This is my favorite thing of all Xi-an cuisine and a traditional dish as well. It is slow-cooked lamb broth and torn pieces of handmade flatbread dough to make it into a warm soup; it's rich and seasoned with herbs and spices for that perfect sip and I just love chewing on the dough inside the soup. I didn't know this was missing from my life until I had another sip and now I crave it every day! The service is fast and our waitress was friendly and helpful. They brought all of our dishes out in less than 10 minutes and our whole table was filled. We ordered way too much food, and we know it, so we got to take it all home to enjoy for another meal. We will definitely be coming back for their lamb stew, liang pi, and wide noodles!
