Great food, great atmosphere, and great drinks. Perfect place to stop before or after a Tin Caps game or any other downtown event!

Great location & the outdoor seating is fun. A little pretentious with the small water glasses of warm water. Can I get a tall glass with ICE and WATER? The drinks are pretty good- not the most generous pours though. My meal was tasty and the chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. read more

This place understands the concept of tapas. Portions are appropriate for the price and easily shared. I would also recommend sharing the larger portion items. Especially the shrimp and grits! I enjoyed the casual service and didn't think they were slow. I prefer the European style service where you can order items as desired instead of all up front and being rushed from your table. Plus ever server was professional and attentive; even if they were not assigned to the table. I absolutely love the concept of selecting your own wine flight or multiple samples. But the layout isn't the best and can be difficult to maneuver when busy. Sampling multiple wines can get pricey; plus there is not an easy way to check your current bill. I recommend trying 4 small pours then selecting a favorite and get a full glass. All in all great service, great food, and great atmosphere! I will be back. read more

When I moved to Fort Wayne I wasn't sure if there was a single place I could find a decent cocktail. In cities like Grand Rapids and Chicago, good cocktail bars are everywhere. I wanted to find a place that could stand against cocktail bars in more progressive cities. Wine Down easily has the best cocktails in Fort Wayne. My favorite so far is the Mai Thai. They definitely make sure the alcohol is at the center of everything they do with their drinks. read more

"It wasn't me" by the classic artist Shaggy, and the musical stylings of Creed aren't among the musical selections that I would expect to hear when I'm having wine and tapas. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, but the wine tasting bar is positioned right in the doorway, which made getting tasting samples problematic. As for the dining experience, all seemed well until we learned that almost half of the items listed on the menu were no longer on the menu. My heart was broken when I learned I couldn't sample the Espresso Chili or the Gourmet PB 'N J. Also, a waitress had to come ask for one of our cocktail menus, so it seems like it's time to make up some more, updated menus. Overall the food was good. The BBQ Bison meatballs were my favorite, but food items didn't come out all at the same time, and the staff seemed a bit confused. Our waiter was apparently a bartender as well, and some of the other servers were on phones and seemed inattentive. The wine selection was good as well. I thought the pricing was a bit high for Fort Wayne, but nothing too crazy. It seems like this restaurant was designed without keeping the location in mind. read more

This is the place for steaks in Fort Wayne. I was visiting for a few weeks and stopped by with my Mom for dinner and tried the strip. It was so good I had to come back and try the ribeye. Perfect. Really inventive cocktail menu and very deep whiskey selection. Five stars. Will be back! read more

We ate at the Copper Spoon for dinner on a Monday night. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant except that it was cold in there! We did ask to be moved a little farther away from the door, but it did not help much. Hubby Steve ordered salt and vinegar fried oysters and scalloped potatoes. I had the pork belly. The flavors of the food were wonderful and the combinations the chef has created were really well paired. My only complaint is that it was a little pricey for the quantity. I don't mind paying a bit more for really good food, but I also expect to be filled up. If we had been starving, I'm not sure this would have been enough. We would go back, but probably only for a special occasion and we were in the mood to spent money.. read more

Are we in Fort Wayne or Chicago? What a fabulous menu offering! Delicious Tappas and entrees! And a incredible list of wines! Our selections were beautiful and delicious. Easily one of my favorite places in Fort Wayne. The bartenders know EXACTLY what they are doing. They are true mixologists (rare to see in the Fort Wayne area), often experimenting and changing original cocktails people are used to. Every time I go I have the bartender surprise me with a new drink, and I have yet to be disappointed. While I have not had much off their food menu, I can tell you their twists on the tapas are wonderful. The ostrich is certainly different for the uninitiated, who often expect the texture to be as smooth as a filet, but the flavors of the dish come together wonderfully. This place is certainly for those who want to branch out food-wise and experience cocktail bars like that of Indy, Chicago, etc. read more

Copper Spoon - The Blue Skeel - don't be intimidated by the egg white! - American Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

The atmosphere was amazingly calm. There was a slightly upbeat tempo playing over the speakers, and the staff was very welcoming from the moment we entered. Rachel was extremely attentive, and the drinks were not your average watered down drivel, but potent and well thought out creations(I chose not to partake of wine, but rather spirits). The food arrived timely, and was exceptional in flavor. I had the filet burger, which was exquisite. The burger was prepared as requested, and the aioli and gouda complemented the burgers juices quite well. Definitely would return if back in the area. read more

Solid cocktails! Food was good not the best but solid. Loved the upscale atmosphere. I think I'll be back for the cocktails for sure.

This was our first time here. Michelle, our waitress, was very knowledgeable in wine pairings, food, and overall service. The food was amazing as well. We had the bison meatballs, crab stuffed shrimp, three cheese arancinis , and salmon deviled egg. After that we had some drinks and the apple dessert and cheese cake that were both absolutely amazing. If you haven't been there, what are you waiting for? If you haven't been recently, they are waiting to see you again. read more

Copper in my opinion is one of the best restaurants in Fort Wayne. Whisky Wednesday's is a must. The old fashioned is my favorite in town. The burgers are gas anything I've tried here has been straight gas . read more

Great find here in Fort Wayne. Loved the ambience. Cocktails, whiskey and wine selection are superb. Food was fantastic. Shared the muscles, wings, and Brussels sprout salad for apps. Each one was unique and very flavorful. Had the diver scallops for dinner. One of the best dishes I've had in the Fort. Highly recommend this place. We'll be back. Service was great. Our waiter made great drink suggestions. read more

Only been once since the name change. Really good food, though a bit slow coming out the night that we were there. Cocktails were excellent. Have also heard great things about Wednesday bourbon specials, and looking forward to trying it out! read more

I'd give ZERO stars if I could. Rudest server ever JERRY Slow service! Over priced, dry appetizers. When asked to recommend drinks, he went on a rant and insulted a member of my group. Next, when the server brought the wrong drink JERRY got attitude over bringing the drink that was ordered Then, went on to out right talk trash about about one of us after majority of the group left for the night. Be advised: we were told "we spent thousands of dollars on these couches so don't tear it up" read more

Great atmosphere and the service is amazing. Sadly the food itself is a bit lacklustre. It isn't bad, just not nearly as good as other eating establishments in the area. This is the type of spot to go on a date night. read more

What a find!! This weary business traveler wanted something healthy but not boring and found our joy here! I had a hummus and beet salad that surprisingly came with 2 perfect falafel, and the diver scallops. Both dishes were creative and spectacular in flavor. This was so good I ALMOST look forward to the next time I have to stay over in Ft. Wayne for work read more

Very cool trendy place with great atmosphere! Service was good and Ethan our waiter was very good . We each ordered a specialty cocktail which were tasty and priced about right . We were hungry for dinner and well we left hungry as well. The food was prepared well and it was good but there was Not much of it . Food was not exceptional as we expected for the prices listed . I had pan seared chicken breast which was cooked ok but there were no sauces or drizzles to make it anything more than a plain cooked chicken breast . My wife ordered the pork and it maybe was 4 oz with lots of fat. We are not big eaters and a light meal is ok but not even a side salad or bread was served with the meal . I would not recommend this place for a full dinner . I WOULD recommend this place for cocktail and appetizers. read more

Had an after work meeting at Copper Spoon the other day and thought it was great. I didn't realize it was still Wine Down because I liked Wine Down also. Started with a well made Manhattan with Luxnardo Cherries. Very well made and tasty. We had an appetizer of oysters that my friend said were very good, I am not a big oyster fan. The waiter recommended the rib eye and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is still perfect here, relaxing, but a good place for a meeting. We were there on a Thursday and there was a decent amount of activity. Our waiter did a wonderful job of taking care of us. The only complaint is parking is not great since you have to park in the structure and have a short walk, but well worth the walk read more

Was our first time at the Copper Spoon last weekend. It is a 21 and over spot and a great atmosphere to get away. 3 of the 4 in our party ordered the Ribeye, the waiter said it was voted best in Ft Wayne. The knife went through it like butter, it did not disappoint. We never spend a ton of time at dinner, but we spent 3 hours in a relaxed setting. It is a little expensive but well worth it. A for sure do over. read more

Great place, excellent bourbon selection. The bar tender was very knowledgeable. My favorite place in Fort Wayne so far.

Went to dinner Thursday night. Pimento cheese ball come with four small pieces of bread, so we asked for more. After we finished that bread, the server asked if we wanted more and we said sure. When the bill came we were charged $4 for extra bread! I got the burger and he did not ask how I wanted it cooked. I asked how it came and he said medium well. I asked if I could get it medium rare. He said ok. Came out well done. My sister's chicken was bland. Likely won't be back. read more

I absolutely love this spot. I have been able to go three times over the last few months, and I love the atmosphere. The have amazing drinks, appetizers choices and the wait staff is so friendly and kind. The service is superb, and after traveling much of Europe, it actually reminds me of many cozy bars/restaurants there! It's a little pricey, but it's absolutely worth it for a special occasion, or an evening out on the town. You could spend just as much at a chain restaurant, so might as well spend money on quality food, and quality staff!! and I have reservations there again tonight read more

This place is fantastic. The food is amazing and the drinks are better. It's my escape to a big city inside of a small town. The vibe is perfect for a high class, grown and sexy night out. I highly recommend checking this place out, and now that it's my favorite maybe I'll see you there! read more

We had the best time there last night for a girls birthday party and our server was fabulous. The heirloom salad I got was the best thing ever, along with the wings. And the drinks were perfectly served, my moscow mule was in a frosted silver mug with crushed ice, never had it that way but loved it. Thank you for a fabulous experience. read more

I have never eaten there nor been there to have a drink, however my fiance and I have heard this was an absolutely amazing place! We stopped in there a few weeks ago (mid to late April) to speak to them about having our (wedding) rehearsal dinner there. My grandmother even offered to come to town from Big Canoe, GA to take us to eat there to try their food and drinks. When we walked in we were greeted by the manager, Gary. We were in aw at how beautiful this establishment was, and instantly fell in love. However, when we started asking questions he seemed really short and anxious to get us out of there, I had just assumed he was busy and they were just opening up for the day. When I asked for a brief tour, he said yes, but with an "uhh?yeah sure" tone to his voice. After about 10 minutes of trying to get information from him, I finally just asked for a business card and we left, and my fiance and I thought "no big deal, he was probably really busy." I called a few days later and he was extremely nice over the phone, answered every question I asked and spent about 15 minutes on the phone, he seemed excited to host our event, and told me he would send me an email with all of the information so I could pass this along to my mother, father, and grandmother. I never got an email, so called 5-12, and was told he was tied up and would call me that afternoon or the next day, never got a call. I tried to call today (5-16) to set up a time for a tasting and put together a menu. A young lady had answered and said she recognized my name from a couple of emails and phone calls, and told me that "he had JUST ran to the post office" and the lady asked to take down my number again, and she would call him to have him call me. I politely declined and told her that I should not have to chase down a business in order to come and spend thousands of dollars in one evening, and certainly will not spend my money with an establishment that is dodging my phone calls. We are very disappointed that will not be having our rehearsal dinner there, very unfortunate! However, we will just take our business elsewhere! read more

Amazing food, amazing wine, and amazing cocktails. Fantastic restaurant for everyone. Fort Wayne is lucky to have this here! Bar staff was really Friendly and knowledgeable. Love the tiki cocktail section! Reminds me of being In nyc or Chicago. Finally someone can make a proper martini or negroni! The shrimp and grits shocked me as I only thought grits belonged on a breakfast menu. All in all just a great restaurant! read more

This place came highly recommended by some business associates and I was very excited to try it. The hostesses were a little snippy. When we asked about a table, they stated the wait time and then asked, "So, do you want to wait or what?" They also made a point to say that there were no seats available at the bar. However, after choosing a seat to wait we saw several. Not a problem, our preference was to be seated at a table. The young ladies were only too excited to help some very attractive young men that walked in and had very little trouble making polite conversation with them before seating the group at a table. After getting a table, we ordered the steamed mussels appetizer. The cocktail/wine/beer menu is a whopping 60 pages long. I felt like I was reading a novel. It's a great selection for repeat customers and beverage enthusiasts! It's tastefully bound in leather and has a lengthy description of each signature drink. There are about 15 items on the food menu in total (from what I can recall). After seeing the portion size of the appetizer, an entree wasn't necessary. We got the chocolate torte and the cheesecake which were both wonderful. Our waiter was outstanding and was very enthusiastic. The combination of an overwhelming alcohol selection, small food selection and hospitality at the front desk will keep me from coming back. I would recommend this establishment to people who have an extensive knowledge of alcohol and an accompanying tolerance far greater than my own. read more

We had a wonderful meal at Copper Spoon. Our waitress was attentive and kind, but admittedly overly rehearsed. When she let her guard down a bit, she was significantly better, and we appreciated the one-on-one moments when she wasn't sharing the same exact thing that we heard her say to our table and every table within earshot. Overall, this didn't take much away from the evening, we were entertained that we knew the spiel word-for-word by the end of the meal. Drinks were great and dinner was exceptional. We struggled to find a restaurant we hadn't been to in Fort Wayne for a celebratory date night and returning to Copper Spoon didnt let us down. The seasonal Brussels sprout salad pulled our attention and didn't disappoint - its perfection was brought up multiple times the next day. We both ordered different cuts of steak and couldn't agree on which was better. So appreciative to have Copper Spoon in Fort Wayne. read more

Fun night. Creative food even more creative cocktails!! Great stop for our Fort Wayne weekend.

Was there the evening of 11/17 and gotta be honest, this was one of the worst and disappointing experiences I've had at Copper Spoon. Let me preface that our drinks, as always were fantastic. However the server (as there were no bar seats available), was horrible and condescending. I asked for my steak medium rare, it came out medium to medium well. I asked for no broccoli, so apparently that meant no chimichurri as the server said, and I quote "if you don't get broccoli, we don't include chimichurri," honestly, wtf??? Broccoli and chimichurri go together? No, they don't! Chimichurri goes with steak and the menu stated it came with it (New York Strip). Overall I'm not impressed with the attitude of the server that clearly didn't give care in the world because we sat with empty drink for 10+ minutes. This isn't Copper Spoon, this honestly was a very sad experience for a bill that was $143+. I sincerely hope that management or ownership monitors these reviews. Disclaimer: I did not ask to speak to a manager while at the restaurant, in hindsight I am regretting this decision. We weren't even thanked for coming in from our server... this was a second date, and my date had not been here before. This experience made me looks like a fool for recommending it. Please fix your wait staff to show a little appreciation to the customer... read more
