Go down the stairs, open the big black door. Be careful, it's dark in here! We stopped by for a quick drink before reservations elsewhere on the Landing. Unfortunately we didn't get to order as no one came To our table, and had to leave. So... This review is for the ambiance only. Pretty dark, a little dusty, but overall intriguing. Later toward nightfall I bet it gets pretty fun. The only staff member I saw was behind the bar. He welcomed people but I didn't see him take any orders. Neon lights, room for dancing it looks like. Booth seating, as well as at the bar. Seat yourself. We will probably be back to see what the drinks and food are like when we have more time! Edit:: thanks for the tip, Trevor! We will be back for sure. Cheers!

Night Train is such a great addition to The Landing! It sounds like it's quite the after-hours spot, but we went early last night and ordered a bunch of takeout for our group of four to share at a table out on The Landing, and it was fantastic and quite a deal! We shared a chopped cheese sandwich (which was my favorite!), a hot dog sandwich (just like my dad used to make!), three sliders, hot wings and two orders of spectacular seasoned fries! It was a feast, and so very easy on the pocketbook!! We will be doing it again soon!

Located below Dana's, is a very mellow, chill and warm atmosphere Bar with both rail and booth seating available. They have very limited seafood options but I did have the shrimp which was a good portion for the price but should have came with fries. I ordered the crinkly fries and those were good without the fries sauce, which is actually Night Trains specialty sauce the fries would have been vegan however I wish in the future that they also veganize alternative to the sauce as it's really good but unfortunately couldn't try much of. The red sauce was really good. Also the playlist is kind of centre towards early Y2K pop alternative music which I felt really didn't go with the atmosphere there so it would be nice if they could rotate music selections of all kinds to really vibe out this cool lil place.

Arrived a little before midnight and the booths were filled and the bar had patrons. I wouldn't say busy. By the time we left at 1am it was packed! We ordered at the bar and lingered until a booth opened. Suggest ordering two drinks as getting a reorder with the crowd requires patience. Bartender was great!! Barback was hustling and somehow managing to move through the throngs of people. First Marg was balanced with a nice smokiness. Second one was a little too sweet for my preference. Great people watching. Definitely a young crowd late. Cool vibe with the brick basement walls.

Awesome service. The night train night shift is all class. They are respectful to everyone and handle drunken crowds with ease. The drinks are strong and the prices are fair. And the music is always bumpin.

Love NT! Always a good vibe. The food is exceptional. The mustard wings and slider are fantastic! And the bartenders are cool. Of course it's difficult to talk when it's busy, but get in there earlier for dinner on a weekday, and they are all fun to chat with!

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.

We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Also, it's supposed to be an upscale place and they were out of paper towels in the bathroom. I feel like that is just basic service they should check on regularly.
