Stopped in for dinner and Jordan was quick to greet us. She was very personable, quick, and friendly. She was very good at her job. The food was hot, fresh, and me a tummy as we ordered it. It was pretty busy but everyone seemed to be in good spirits including the staff and customers. It was clean and decorated like a bar usually is. It was a good visit! read more

Corner Pocket Pub (St. Joe Center Road) - bar eating/drinking on a relaxed outdoor patio Spent a beautiful summer evening relaxing and dinning/hanging with friends of the Corner Pocket Pub patio. They have a very spacious patio. It's clean and well maintained. Chairs and tables are a comfortable wire construction - nothing fancy. And yes...it still feels like a bar as a bouncer will check your ID at the door. You can balance the bar feel with the opportunity to hang out on a warm summer evening...on a patio. Our waitress was very friendly. She hustled as much as she could though she had a lot of tables. The bouncers were all business. The menu is pretty large with pizza, salads, wraps, wings sandwiches and lots of appetizers. Prices are fair. And, to me, the overall food quality is better than your standard bar food. Here is a run down on the things we ordered: -Quesadillas: extraordinarily cheesy. Soft shell. Easy to pull apart. Comes with salsa and sour creme for dipping - nothing special here. -Chef salad: very fresh and piled high with meats and sides. Two breadsticks were also tasty. -Chicken Ranch wrap: fresh tasting. Tender chicken and wrap. Fries were good. -Onion rings: lots of rings in the basket located on the premium side menu. Rings were inconsistent. Some pieces had a very thick onion piece with a softer batter. Others had a thin onion piece and a very crispy outside. In general the rings were fried to a heavier crisp and a bit oily. Not my favorite. -Cole slaw: very smooth, sweet and creamy Mayo based dish. Small slaw pieces. Not soupy. Tastes almost exactly like KFC's cole slaw. Very good taste! -Wings: I ordered grilled teriyaki and spicy buttery ranch wings. About 50% of my wings were tough and chewy. The other 50% were moist, tender and perfect. All white insides and slightly crispy skins. Love the grill marks. I would recommend double dipped as the grilled skin was thinner on flavor. The teriyaki sauce was thin and had a mild teriyaki taste. The spicy buttery ranch sauce had a slight buttery oil taste with a moderately heavier spice taste. No spicy after taste or burn. The ranch flavor seemed to get buried in the spicy flavor. This review focuses on the patio dinning option. Corner Pocket does have a fun and spacious interior, with lots of pool tables, if you want to shoot some billiards with friends. read more

Great place to chat and unwind. Multiple pool tables available (play per game or hourly options available). Service was quick even with high traffic. Bartenders and servers were upbeat and attentive even at peak hours. Wednesday special was Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese Sandwich! Delicious combination of cheese, bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. Tomato soup would have made this the perfect meal! read more

Pretty decent food for the bar scene. The ranch is delicious and many fried options. The deep fried green beans are our favorites! Wings are reasonable price and pretty good flavor choices. Service is quick and friendly. Good prices and good food. It does smell reminiscent of smoke still if you can get over that. read more

Well overdue and because I've heard and seen some shade come their way, I came here a few times last year and absolutely had a blast. From the bartenders Hailey and the servers Stacey and Holly the service was fabulous and these individuals also carried a fantastic energy. My partner and myself were more than happy with our experiences here and looking to create some more in the future. Enjoyed my time so much I'd fill out an application on the spot just to get more time in there lol anyways if you haven't been, go in with intention of having a great moment through and through and it'll be felt and reciprocated. Also...they got a jukebox and some bomb wings! Buy the ticket and enjoy the ride! read more

Best food ever. Jordan, Seth, and Holly the servers do a fantastic job. Love this place sm I wanted to give it a bad review so they stayed less busy! Excellent food and service, and they keep their tables nice, just busy on the weekend days. 10/10 love corner pocket. read more

On February 21st around 8:30pm we visited this establishment to play pool, grab a bite & a beer. After waiting for 17 minutes to be served, the server drops menus on the table and states "we don't serve tacos here before you ask". Two men in my party were Hispanic. Shocked that they both speak perfect English, the server stutters & apologizes. This attracts security for no reason at all because nobody was even raising their voices. If this is the caliber of employees this place chooses to employ, then id seriously consider spending your money somewhere else. If the CP doesn't know they have a blatant racist serving their paying customers, it definitely needs brought to their attention. It's 2024, can we not? We left because F the service & the food is mediocre at best. read more

The evening was fine until last call. We were there for a company event mind you. Everyone was respectful, NOT intoxicated, had tipped well. However, at 1am security became very pushy for everyone to finish up and leave. Whatever. Our group was being compliant, while many others were still at their tables and nursing their last drink. At this point a male African American member of "security" staff unprovokedly engaged with a female member of our party and began rushing her. When she replied that she was finishing her drink, he exclaimed "f***ing a** white people!" When her husband understandably intervened with "hey man, that's not cool" said security guard put hands on him and led him outside. I can't IMAGINE if the race roles had been reversed... seriously. Such an unnecessarily bad and stupid end to an otherwise fine evening. Do not recommend. I have video if management is interested. read more

I really like Corner Pocket! We only ever go there to eat outside. So I can't really speak for the inside. (The one awesome thing I can say about the inside is they have PULL TABS!!!) Anyway, each time my husband and I have been here, we have had an awesome waitress. They are always friendly and helpful if you can't quite choose what to order. We have had their wings, pizza, apps, and grinders. Everything has always been really good!! Depending on the day, you might get a rowdier bunch outside. But nothing uncomfortable feeling or dangerous. Just loud people having a good time. Our favorite time to go in on Sunday evenings. read more

Wings were terrific. Ordered them extra crispy and grilled, some of the best around!

I'm a huge fan of authentic, smaller local bars and Corner Pocket is right up my alley! They had great drink specials and reasonably priced food that was pretty good. Plenty of seating to accommodate large parties and enough TVs to hangout and watch a sporting event. There are also a good amount of pool tables if you want to come here and play a few games. They have decent outdoor seating that is nice when the weather permits. This bar embodies what you imagine when you think of great local bars. This review was written by my wife. Wing Quest - Week 8: This week's wing challenge happened in The Corner Pocket Pub located in Riviera Plaza at the corner of St. Joe & St. Joe Center Roads in Fort Wayne. This establishment is a pub (you can tell from it's name). It's also a pool hall with more pool tables than one can count from any seat in the house. But it also has one of the best floor plans for such an enterprise which allows all patrons to enjoy separate activities without interference from other things going on. It's quite spacious inside but also boasts a large patio out front for seasonal dining or year-'round smoking. Corner Pocket's menu is chock full of interesting and note worthy pub food from Favorites (starter plates) to Burgers, Sandwiches, & Wraps to Platters to Award Winning Wings to Salads, Pizza, and Grinders, plus a fine array of sides. Wings service is unique to Corner Pocket because the customer chooses EXACTLY how their wings are to be prepared. First choice: Bone-in or boneless. Second choice: Normal (13 min. cook-time), Extra Crispy (18 min. cook-time), or Extra Extra Crispy (25 min. cook-time). Third choice: Wet - dipped in sauce, Grilled - dipped and put on grill, or Double Dipped - sauced, grilled, & dipped again. Fourth choice: Medium, Hot, Fire, BBQ, Spicy BBQ, Teriyaki, Sweet Heat, Garlic Parmesan, Hot Honey Garlic, Honey Garlic, Honey Gold, Mango Habanero, or Honey Sriracha sauce(s). Fifth choice: how many wings will be ordered. Our samplings included Wet Spicy BBQ, Grilled Fire, Wet Mango Habanero, and Double Dipped Honey Sriracha; all ordered Extra Crispy and all were done perfectly per our preferences. There was no slimy skin and no resistance in removing meat from bone. There was just chicken, marvelously tender inside and beautifully crisp outside. We tend to have our wings dressed in the spicier rubs and sauces found in the eateries we visit but, though tasty, none we tried on these wings were especially capsaicin heavy (at least to our heat-trained tastebuds). Fire has great flavor with a nicely heated after-affect. Spicy BBQ and Mango Habanero are pretty close in the heat department. They're both slightly sweet with plenty of happiness for the palate with just enough heat to know it's there. Honey Sriracha tastes distinctly of ginger and provides a subtle dance of spice on the tongue. People with particularly sensitive oral linings may want to stick to the other sauces provided. No matter how you choose your prep at The Corner Pocket Pub you will receive the most expertly prepared custom wings on the market. You have our word on that! FYI: Wings may be ordered in increments of 5 starting at $6.99 and going up to $27.99 for 20 pieces. Celery, sides of bleu cheese or ranch, bone receptacles and wet naps are provided. Full bar service is available, Pull tab tickets can be purchased from wall-hung dispensing machines. Service on the day we visited was exceptional. read more

I like the management here. One of the cooks dropped my salad in the kitchen which made my food take longer and they gave me a free drink to compensate. They a really good chicken ceaser salad and their double-dipped wings are delicious! read more

I would give this place 5 stars if the service was just a bit better. Environment is laid back and chill. Lots of pool tables! The music is chosen by customers so there is a lot of variety. The food is a bit pricey so i cant say if its good or not because i havent tried it. The service seem to be under staffed. If there were more servers it wouldnt take so long to be served. It just seems slow and the barely checkbup on you. Many time my friends had to go get their own drinks. read more

Chicken caesar salad had very little chicken and was very dry. 12$ for leaves basically.

Aside from being asked to leave the bar for no reason, we were just sitting at our table having a beer, the security guard man handled my female friend to the point of leaving bruises on her and breaking her jewelry. Never again! Shut up read more

Corner Pocket....what's not to love? They grill their wings which is always a plus for me. Their wing night is on Monday and Wednesday making it different than most in town. Their pocket fries are great but can be shared with 4 people comfortably and the price reflects that. The sandwiches are very good and big enough to share. The only downside is that sometimes they are too busy with to little help. read more

I used to come here ALOT. I love this place. Favorite bar in town. Very chill atmosphere. You can come here during the day and just hang out, or go later at night for a more lively time. Bands don't waste your time here. They don't support live entertainment. Cheap pay and don't care for the band.

Go there regularly an Security will always be on bullshit from I'd'ing to basic respect. I dont go here much but every time I go the wait from the time you sit down and get service is so slow. We waited at least 15m, then they messed up our order and didnt fix it, to top it off it took around 5 - 10m to get our drinks after we ordered them. Only good thing is the waiter who finally helped us was quick but CP needs to stop being cheap and hire more help. The food and drinks were good also. read more

I found this place last year through a recommendation by my 23 year old son. I've only been here during the day, so I can only personally comment on what it's like in the daytime. The food here is ok to good...try to stay away from any of their beef sandwiches: they overcook their beef ("Philly Grinder" or "French Dip"). Their Fish Tacos and Grouper Baskets are very good, also their "Signature" and "Italian Grinder" sandwiches. If you're sitting at one of their tables, it DID take a while for the help to arrive to take our order, and it took a little while for the food to arrive (so we played some pool while waiting). Phone ordering and picking up the food works pretty well. Their estimate of 15-20 minutes to have it ready for pickup is good. They have lots of TVs going behind and around the bar area, so this is definitely the place to go during your favorite sporting event (Superbowl 46 upcoming 2/5/12: Go Giants!) By the way, "Free Pool Day" is Wednesday! read more
