Naked wings / chili lime brussel sprouts
    Curt H.

Looking for a place in my home-town (area) of FWA to catch the Purdue-Maryland game. This place did not disappoint (except for the fact that I didn't see a SINGLE LOCAL BEER on tap or otherwise). Local beers aside... Awesome wings w/ Carribean Jerk sauce and the chili lime brussel sprouts alone were worth coming in for. Add local beers and I am over-the-top. Don't be held hostage by a big beer distributor... Allow local and/or multiple contracts vs a single beer pimp. Support your locals!!!

We love it here! Drinks are delicious. Service and owner are very attentive. Food is good too. Try the Brussel sprouts!

The service at 1802 is excellent. My guy "Dean" kept my friends and I engaged and entertained throughout our visit. Overall, great experience.

I've driven by this place for years and finally decided to stop in. I'm glad I did! 1802 has a very strong sport bar feel . There are games going everywhere. On this occasion there were a lot of patrons having fun, conversation and watching games. The place was clean despite it being a crazy crowded night. Our waitress was friendly and hustled our food and refills as she was very busy. We started with a order of fried pickles. These were outstanding. The breading was thick and uniform. It had a slight Spicey seasoning. The crisp pickle and mild Chipotle dip made for an excellent appetizer! The Ruben sandwich was very tasty. The marbled bread was soft. The meat was piled high and delicious- not many places do the meat that well. The sauerkraut and sauce were spot on! The pizza was also very good. The crust was thin but not over cooked. There were plenty of toppings and the sauce had a slight bit of spicy heat to it. Nicely done with the pizza!! Give 1802 a visit if you are looking for some good bar food, want to watch the game or enjoy a lively crowd!

The place looked cool, menu sounded cool. At the positives end there for the most part. The fried mushrooms and horseradish sauce was a solid good. The Brussels sprouts were decent. The "Nashville" chicken sliders were a joke, stale waffle with two frozen chicken tenders with no sauce or flavor. The fries were just ok. The pizza was a pre made crust with a tasteless sauce. The BLT with fried egg and green tomatoes was ok. Service was incredibly slow, asked for a beer menu and she never came back to take a beer order. Waited forever for our bill. Just not a good visit.

There is never enough parking. The end of the 1st parking lot is a ledge that can mess your car up. Food is alright but way overpriced. Our bill for 2 people was $175.00. Two shots of tequila was $16.00 smh. Fried green tomatoes were overcooked. Mexican street corn was overcooked and watered down. Tacos were not crispy at all. $22.00 for a little piece of salmon and dry Califlower. Our friends that went with us had a bill of $110.00. We all left there and when home and ate bc we were still hungry....

Great service, lots of tvs, and the wraps as well as chicken wings were on point. Great place to watch a game!

She was very patient with members of the party that struggled with decision making. On this occasion we sat in the middle of the facility. This is the most open...and unfortunately the loudest area. It was so loud on this night that we struggled to have dinner conversation. The fry flight was fun for the party to sample. The tots were nice and crisp and meaty. The sweet potato fries had a bold sweet potato taste but were disappointingly limp - first time they have been this way. The flat fries were uniquely thin and crispy. The cheese sauce was a unique blend of different cheeses that didn't taste like cheese. More of a smooth, mild and somewhat plain sauce. The ketchup had a nice bold tomato taste. The ranch dip was fairly unique with very faint ranch and oil taste. My wife loved the Southwest bowl. Very fresh and with lots of healthy add ins. The marinaded chicken was very moist and seasoned nicely. The guacamole was very tasty. The short rib beef stroganoff had an outstanding beef taste. The meat was moist and tender - easily pulled apart. The sauce was very light so that it let the natural beef juices dominate the taste. No heavy sour creme taste here. The noodle were perfectly cooked to a firm consistency.

It's good to have family places, but some people go places to get away from their kids, lol. Duckpin bowling was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, but a little pricey. It's $40 per hour, which is basically one game if you have 4 people playing. I think they should get rid of per hour and just do per game, so people are not waiting around for hours to play. The urban golf was also pricey per hour. Unfortunately, we did not get to try the food, which looked and smelled amazing, but we had some drinks. We got $12 lychee soju spritz cocktails, which were delicious. Our waitress, Nina, was on point and friendly the entire time! She was amazing. They also had free indoor cornhole, but people were letting their kids run around the course, so we couldn't play. That should be watched more. Overall, this place is amazing, and I really want to go Sunday and try their bloody marys, mimosas, and $5 off their buckets.

If love thin crust, then you need to make the trip out to Arena B&G at DuPont & Lima Roads. Arena does have a very good thin crust pizza. The crust is saltine cracker thick. The bottom is cooked so that it is flour white and soft...but stiff enough to pick up an individual square. The edges are cooked with a slight golden brown and crisp. The crust doesn't have any accents like butter, garlic or seasoning. Just plain pizza dough. The sauce the is slightly sweet and has a thicker consistency. Arena apllies a decent amount of sauce covers the pizza well and moistens it up a bit. I like the little bit stronger tomato flavor without a dominating spicy taste. There were enough toppings to create that single layer across the pizza. They aren't piled up such that you toppings on top of toppings on top of toppings. Just the right amount. The veggies were crisp and fresh. I would have liked to had more meat and more of an Italian favoring. Still good stuff! As for the cold pizza test...it was still moist enough to bite into the next day...the crispy crusts were still pleasantly crispy. The toppings tend to lose much of their zippy flavor. Though the veggies are still crisp. We ordered a side of cheese bread. The bread is a slice of Texas toast..so it is thick. They grill it so it has some nice buttery grill marks on the bottom. The edges are still soft. The inside breading has a nice buttery-garlic taste. The mozzarella is piled on nicely. Good cheesy taste overall! Overall, Arena Bar & Grill should be on your destination list if you are a thin crust lover. It's a busy place if you plan to dine in. Service is usually pretty friendly and spot on. Between the excellent wings, the dizzying selection of alcohol, and the top-notch wait staff, this restaurant is permanently enshrined as one of my all-time favorites. I knew that I was addicted when, after walking into the bar during one trip with a friend, the bartender (Michael) recognized us and immediately offered up two Blue Moon schooners, our usual. That extremely impressive level of service is likely possible because this location sees a relatively low amount of foot traffic. Despite patronizing this location dozens of times on different days at different hours, we have not once waited for a table. What can be said about the food that hasn't been said already? The wings are spectacular. You can expect them to be large and swimming in sauce. Speaking of which, the sauce choices are overwhelming: their classic BBQ is a go-to, but try out the Say It Ain't Tso or Me-So-Spicy for something a little different. If its alcohol you're after, its hard to do better on this side of town. Their draft selection isn't quite as extensive as Buffalo Wild Wings down the road but it gets the job done without the large crowds and strange chlorine smell. They will certainly do mixed drinks much better. The first time we visited Wings Etc was during a big game night. Buffalo Wild Wings was completely packed, so we continued down the road a bit to try this other place which ended up having a few open tables and spots at the bar. Life is full of strange mysteries; among them I add "Why will people wait thirty minutes for mediocre wings at BWW when there's Wings Etc a half-mile down the road with better food and better service?" I really can't answer that, but at least I won't count myself among the people who make that sorry mistake.

As a chance of pace...we mixed it up and tried Wings Etc on a Sunday afternoon - living on the edge LOL. This facility is located in the far west end of the strip mall at the corner of Dupont and Coldwater Road. It's opposite the Kroger and more toward Casa's. Easy in and easy out as there is parking close to the store. The store is kinda large (at least seemed that way today as it was empty) clean and in good repair. The team was very friendly. The place was slow so we had very attentive service. The food and drink menu is fairly large. They gave a full bar with lots of TV's. Nice place to relax, talk and watch a game. As for the food...I really don't expect a lot from these type of franchise places. I did find the onion rings to be pretty good. Nice meaty piece of onion with a thick batter. Slight crunchy breading - not too oily. No special sauce served with this. Just ketchup if you need it. My wife really liked the grilled chicken bacon wrap. Fresh ingredients and tasty. My grilled chicken quesadilla was large and thick. Tender chicken, thick bed of cheddar cheese and soft tortillas.
