The menu offers a lot, the bartenders were not rude or pretentious despite their skills. Tables and ambiance were cute and summery. Our drinks were all tasty, and strong. The only downside, was the weather that day was HOT. So you have to be hardcore to go there in summer when they have no indoor option. I suggest sprinklers which really do a lot to cool it off on a patio. Or a big outdoor fan. read more

Such a cool spot for drinks late at night in the heart of Fort Wayne. A few friends and I came by for the first time while in town looking for a decent sit down bar with cool vibes and this was definitely it! They had the whole thing decked out for Halloween and even had spooky themed drinks. Definitely worth the visit! read more

I've been to bars/restaurants all across the states everywhere, and I've never seen something like this so it's a catchy unique spot for me. I love the vibe it has but most importantly, I love love, the international rum list and my country made it on their menu ! Avoid this place! Drink prices were outrageous. I was charged $20 per drink for a vodka tonic! Update: I am from the Dallas-Ft Worth area and visited on business. I have subsequently asked 3 local bartenders and ALL agreed that $20 for a vodka and Tonic is outrageous, even for a double. My favorite bar, Boomer Jacks, charges $7.00 for a double Tito's and tonic. Is Ft Wayne more expensive than Dallas? This drink was not priced on the menu that I was given when I was seated. My total bill for a hamburger, fries, 3 vodka tonics and tip (20%) was $90!! I will NOT be back. read more

What a cute little gem this place is! Conveniently located next to Wine Down, and within view of Parkview Field, this place is the perfect mix of cool and casual. With its tiki-bar theme, and its bevy of strong cocktails, this place is the ideal destination for a fun evening on the town. The first time I went, I was with my mom and we stopped in before our dinner at Wine Down. We both enjoyed the beautiful evening out on the patio. I ordered the Frose and she got the Tradewinds. The tradewinds is certainly the stronger of the 2! The most recent time I went, my coworkers and myself swung through after a Tin Caps game. We ordered a nightcap, and watched the fireworks explode over Parkview Field. If you're looking for a place to relax on a nice weekend evening this is THE place to go. It's right next to the tincaps field which is really nice although on game nights it might get a little busy. I have not tried the food there as I have gone only for cocktails but those are wonderful. I have tried the Paloma, the daquiri, and a few other cocktails and none have disappointed. As a Hispanic, this is the only place I have seen in Fort Wayne that carries 32 oz beers. My friends and I come here as the men in my friend group love it! They have lovely fireplaces and cute little sofa seats on one side for small groups of people. Such a nice touch along with with all the lights and the pretty tiki flowers. It does get a smidge busy so this is definitely a place to go without being in a hurry. It does close in the winter so heads up if you're still thinking of trying it out this year! read more

If you find yourself in Fort Wayne, Do not order the fries. As I write this, I did not know that you can legitimately get high on salt. They oversalted these poor fries. I work in the food industry and they clearly have a cook who is trigger happy on the use of salt. I cannot tell you how good the fries are because my heart is pacing at some beats per minute. Stunned is a good word to use here. However, this does give me an insight on the food and ... the culture here. I am glad that i was able to try the food through curiosity, but for the sake of my health, I will not be coming back. Thats actually a good thing. This spot is amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun being right next to the ball park. However, it is not too loud to where you can't hear the people you're with. They have a variety of seating options for a good amount of party sizes. The menu is a bit small, but the variety of the types of food they have makes up for it. I got the impossible burger and it was amazing! I've had a few impossibles before this one and I'd say this was the best prepared one I have had. My husband got the Nashville chicken and loved it. We had such a pleasant experience here! Our waiter, who was great, recommended the Paloma drink which was so delicious. What a lovely outdoor vibe! Had some time to kill one evening on my recent business trip to Fort Wayne. While walking in the area and trying to decide what for dinner I came across this cute little outdoor bar/cafe with wonderful kitschy tunes playing outside and beautiful decorated patio! Food was good I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries which (the waiter did not tell me they would cost $1.00 more than chips that come with meal) or I wouldn't have got them, he also said steak fries which they were but I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes I did not know they were sweet potatoes until they showed up on my plate. My husband ordered a Budweiser at the cost of $5.00 and was shocked at the high price our son had the IPA beer and it was $8.00 which is normal but the Bud was overpriced. read more

I like the atmosphere. Like the concept, however that only gets them half way. Don't hope to order a Captain or any other traditional island spirit. Food menu is not the same as you see on Facebook, went there for sweet potato fries as seen on Facebook. They don't have them. lastly, they have no hot sauce of any kind! Letdown. What a great new addition to the downtown area. I'm always down for new and fun outdoor restaurants/bars. My first experience here was their opening weekend and they were very backed up in the kitchen but I gave them a second chance recently and wasn't disappointed. The 'Merican burger was very good and also one of the best I've had in a very long time. Drink prices are fair for the atmosphere and company. Service was friendly and helpful but waited quite a bit for our food the first night and very long to be greeted the second night. However, it was opening weekend and busy both times so completely understandable and will definitely seems like won't be an issue in the moving forward. Went here on a not so busy Saturday night. It took almost 45 minutes to get a cocktail and the people in our group who got beers were on their second or third beer. My gf got nachos and they were very good but very sweet which isn't what we expected so I asked for some hot sauce and was told they didn't have any outside. The bar outside is probably closer to the kitchen inside then where we were sitting so I should have just went and asked someone inside myself. I would never go here again. Checked out sidecar this weekend and it was super busy. Things felt a bit chaotic but being its first weekend you have to give them a chance. I loved the tiki influenced cocktail menu. If there's one thing Fort Wayne native's love, it's outside dining and drinking, and this might just be my new favorite spot to do just that! The atmosphere was lively and casual, and I just loved the downtown views of the city. As an added bonus, we had the most amazing seats to enjoy the 3RF fireworks while sipping on our wine slushies! I love a good burger, and this was one of the best I've had in a while...juicy with an amazing bourbon onion jam! Our food was a little slow coming out, but we expected that as it was packed on its opening weekend, and it really didn't hinder our service. Our server was very helpful in being proactive to order drinks since she made it known it might take a little bit for them to arrive. The Blue Lagoon was a standout and worth the wait. I'm looking forward to my next visit as I'm told there will be more features to come, and I'm a little burned out on Fort Wayne's "other" outdoor dining destination. Visiting Ft. Wayne for the week and were jonesing for a hipster place that reminded us of home (Brooklyn, NY) and Sidecar did not disapoint. Strong, inventive tiki drinks for cheap prices (at least to us) and delicious food (we had ceviche, burger and pulled pork sandwich: all delicious). First time here after I have heard some wonderful things about this new establishment. Upon walking up to it this place we realized it has the perfect spot downtown. Right next to Parkview entrance, on Jefferson Blvd and the patio extends around to Parkview field For a perfect view to the ball field They have ample chairs and couches with fire pits and free standing heaters for colder nights. They do have a great menu and the kitchen is open to the patio for guests to watch them cook. They menu boasts homemade cocktails, sauces and an array of appetizers salads and burgers that are unique. Prices are comparable to the area. The beer list is less Impressive and disappointing. On the patio also boasts three TV's but unseeable unless you sit in the wall enclosed tv area that shows limited seating. (The management staff sent me a message explaining this, due to Indiana alcohol laws the bar area has to be enclosed, this explaining the walls around the bar.). I am glad they explained because it makes sense and I know the alcohol laws in IN are very stringent. I had iced tea and it was so good. They also featured a pineapple cider but we're out of it when we ordered it. So we got a beer. Our server was attentive nice and timely with drink orders and delivery. We didn't get food but the plates we saw come out were good portions and looked fresh. We can't wait to come back and try the food and enjoy the amazing ambiance.
