The Deck in Fort Wayne, IN is such a fun spot -- whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth checking out! We came with a big group to celebrate some friends getting married, and even though it was my first time, I was genuinely impressed. Expect it to be busy (and for good reason!) -- the lively atmosphere and riverside setting make it a popular hangout. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but the drink menu was solid! I went with the Squirt Reynolds -- a refreshing mix of tequila, Squirt, grapefruit juice, and lime. Great vibes, friendly service, and scenic views all around!

Siding outside is something I usually do not do but it was a Beautiful ends of summer day. I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the food and quick service. Thank you for a WONDERFUL lunch!

Alyssa B gave very attentive service during a great meal at The Deck! Fantastic afternoon with a rather eclectic crowd. Wonderful variety on the menu. We tried the Cobb salad, club sandwich and The buster burger. All were epic! Bringing friends and family back next time we are in town.

Glad my friends suggested this spot! The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Beautiful view, and I can see why it's so popular. Definitely worth checking out!

The service was absolutely amazing! The drinks were reasonably priced and taste very good! I didn't try the food but I will for sure next time. A great place to sit by the water and enjoy the summer breeze!

We had a bit of trouble finding it but basically it's behind Takoka and the Gas House on E. superior St. We arrived around 1:30 and was told we'd have a 25 minute wait. It's only outside seating but it was mostly cloudy and we had no problem sitting on the waiting benches. They also offer free water for those who wait. We got seated in like 15 to 20 minutes and our waitress came promptly. We put in our drink orders and then ordered the artichoke cheese dip for an appetizer. It was delicious and came with just the right amount of corn tortilla's. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich with tots, which was enormous! He said it was just as delicious as it looked. I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich, which comes with a side of au jus (they don't tell you that on the menu) and it was one of the best I've ever had. Personally, I'd like to see it with a bit more cheese. The roll it is on is light and airy and really compliments this kind of sandwich. I ordered a side of Pit Beans to go with it and they were both unique and yummy! All different kinds of beans, some ground meat and a bit of sweetness. The music in the background is not too loud and this is definitely a family friendly place. Because it's only outside seating it's probably only open a few months a year, but so worth the trip and the wait! They also have an outdoor bar and a beer garden.

This was my first time at The Deck and everything was awesome! I ordered The Danwhich and added a beef patty to it. The sandwich was delicious! 10/10. Also the tater tots are amazing! Crunchy and light. My girlfriend got the Reuben sandwich. She says it was very tasty and salty! The service was amazing and very quick! We went on a Sunday at 12pm and it was adequately busy. I will definitely be coming back to try their lengthy drink menu.

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

From the ambience to the friendly staff with the sense of camaraderie among them, it was wonderful. On to the menu and the food - great variety! My husband very much appreciated the variety of choices to put on his Chicago burger. He chose pimento cheese, roasted red peppers and the LTP (lettuce, tomato and House-made bread and butter pickles). It was served on a toasted Chicago onion roll. We started with the Tots Deluxe. Creative crunchy scrumptious variety of ingredients, that went so well together. The bread that was brought out was amazing - hot, crunchy crust with just the right amount of seasoning and soft on the inside - even the whipped butter that came with it was delicious! There are five entrees to go along with a small amount of burger, chicken tender and appetizer choices. I went with the burger of the month - the pizza burger. The friendly waiter said the pizza sauce was made in house from scratch. The sauce was outstanding! It was thick and sweet with a bold tomato paste taste. The bun was soft and slightly grilled with a buttery flavor - very nice! It is odd that the burger is served in halves and vertical. The burger patty was very thin and cooked to a medium well done consistency - I would prefer medium rare but they didn't ask my preference. I thought the burger was over cooked and a bit tough/crunchy on the edges. It did have and nice high quality meat flavoring as it is sourced locally. The burger was covered with grilled pepperoni. This added a nice "pizza" flavor when combined with a nice bedding of mozzarella cheese. My wife really liked her chicken tenders. They were nice and moist. The breading was unique, tasty and crispy. She said the fries were very good while the best part might have been the house fry dipping sauce. That sauce was a nice combination of southwest and traditional meat flavorings. The side salad, to replace the fries, was fresh yet very small. The salad came in a half-ball type dish that was slightly larger than half a baseball. The half ball was actually unstable to eat out of. I had to cup the bowl with one hand to keep it from tipping over. The salad had a few side tomato and pepper parts added. There just isn't much room for things in this small of a dish. We decided to try the strawberry bread pudding for dessert. This was a fantastic dish! The breading was basically two pieces of fried French toast. It was soft on the inside with a cinnamon swirl and strawberry pieces. The breading was drizzled with a thin moderately sweet strawberry flavored syrup. The syrup was accompanied by some fresh whipped cream also bathed in syrup. Overall, Ducky's does have good food. They have a limited menu at moderately expensive prices. My preference would be to sit down and enjoy the scratch made items versus squeezing them in while you bowl. Also consider dinning at Ducky's and walking across the street the Pearl Arts Center for a program.
