    Roasted chicken sandwich

I had an amazing late lunch/ early dinner with the young people I know. We talked, ate, drank, enjoyed each other's company. The Deck is a comfortable outside dining experience. The food is good, a solid experience. Our server was cordial and efficient. Our drink glasses stayed full and our table clear, I like that. I had the roasted chicken sandwich which was amazing. Crusty bread, tender roasted chicken, crispy veggies made it a standout sandwich. The spinach dip was cheesy and warm- another solid choice.

The Deck! Beautiful evening to dine outside, gaze over the river, people watch and enjoy some simply tasty food! Expect a wait...no matter what time you go!! The Beer Garden is a nice place to hang out while you wait. Though the seats are all wood and low to the ground. The Philly Steak and cheese was piled high with tender and moist beef. Not a lot of seasoning to the meat. The au jus provided some enhanced beef flavoring. The bun was relatively soft while maintaining a toughness that made it nice to dip without falling apart. I thought the sandwich would come with more peppers and ooze with cheese, but it did not. The Mac & cheese was just kinda there. It didn't do much to ramp up the tastes. The noodles were very soft - almost squishy. There was a mild amount of sauce to the noodles. I would prefer more...enough that you would want to dip the bread in the leftover sauce. The cheddar cheese that laid on top didn't stick to the noddles...it just peaked off. My wife loved her Burrito Americana sandwich. Lots of moist chicken and fresh fillings. Overall there are plenty of simple and diverse things on this menu! The Deck had plenty of help to move people along. Though they didn't push you out. It was nice to just enjoy the food, company, nature and the dinning experience. The Deck is a Fort Wayne icon if you have not been there!l

Do not go here for fear of your life. I followed the confusing sign to the bathroom and when it led nowhere I went through the nearest gate - and was swarmed by one - then about 15 cops. Cuffed and detained while my family tried to explain that I was just going to the bathroom in the restaurant I was eating at. I've been a Halls customer for at least 50 years, since my grandparents took me there as a kid for special occasions. Many of the officers that came out of the woodwork were unhinged and power hungry - several even blatantly lied - and I cannot believe this restaurant would ever invite them onto the property to essentially attack average paying customers. I'm a boring 52 year old writer and have eaten here since I can remember and now I, and all of my family, are "banned for life." The state of the world is beyond recognition now and this is a symptom of all the abuses of power. For your own safety - DO NOT come to any Halls property.

The Deck in Fort Wayne, IN is such a fun spot -- whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth checking out! We came with a big group to celebrate some friends getting married, and even though it was my first time, I was genuinely impressed. Expect it to be busy (and for good reason!) -- the lively atmosphere and riverside setting make it a popular hangout. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but the drink menu was solid! I went with the Squirt Reynolds -- a refreshing mix of tequila, Squirt, grapefruit juice, and lime. Great vibes, friendly service, and scenic views all around!

Siding outside is something I usually do not do but it was a Beautiful ends of summer day. I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the food and quick service. Thank you for a WONDERFUL lunch!

Alyssa B gave very attentive service during a great meal at The Deck! Fantastic afternoon with a rather eclectic crowd. Wonderful variety on the menu. We tried the Cobb salad, club sandwich and The buster burger. All were epic! Bringing friends and family back next time we are in town.

Glad my friends suggested this spot! The food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Beautiful view, and I can see why it's so popular. Definitely worth checking out!

The service was absolutely amazing! The drinks were reasonably priced and taste very good! I didn't try the food but I will for sure next time. A great place to sit by the water and enjoy the summer breeze!

We had a bit of trouble finding it but basically it's behind Takoka and the Gas House on E. superior St. We arrived around 1:30 and was told we'd have a 25 minute wait. It's only outside seating but it was mostly cloudy and we had no problem sitting on the waiting benches. They also offer free water for those who wait. We got seated in like 15 to 20 minutes and our waitress came promptly. We put in our drink orders and then ordered the artichoke cheese dip for an appetizer. It was delicious and came with just the right amount of corn tortilla's. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich with tots, which was enormous! He said it was just as delicious as it looked. I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich, which comes with a side of au jus (they don't tell you that on the menu) and it was one of the best I've ever had. Personally, I'd like to see it with a bit more cheese. The roll it is on is light and airy and really compliments this kind of sandwich. I ordered a side of Pit Beans to go with it and they were both unique and yummy! All different kinds of beans, some ground meat and a bit of sweetness. The music in the background is not too loud and this is definitely a family friendly place. Because it's only outside seating it's probably only open a few months a year, but so worth the trip and the wait! They also have an outdoor bar and a beer garden.

The smell of food hit me before I even got inside. The seats were comfortable and they even had bar searing as well as an event space room. The food really deserves its own review but I can't leave two . Everything I would get again no questions asked! My California chicken was delicious, with just the right amount of lime. My wife ordered a tenders plate. It was all great. The reason for four stars? The consistency of the service was very questionable. We had children with us and their meal came out even before our drinks came. Then our appetizer came out late, just a few minutes before the main course. Server was very friendly. Food was delicious, I will be back.

I loved the Cuban flavors, unique food items and the variety of tacos. Everyone loves tacos and The Hoppy Gnome did (still does, only 4 versions now) them well. However...after about a half dozen visits...I got bored with the same offerings. On line posters and most frequent customers (according to the manager) tend to favor the old menu. I, personally, found the change very refreshing and delicious! I will be back as there are lots of new things to try! The Hoppy Gnome is located downtown on the southeast side of the court house. You can park in the Citizens Center parking lot for free after 5pm. It is safe and right across the street from The Gnome. Making a reservation is easy on Open Table. I would suggest you do that versus walking in. The inside is still appealing with the bright and colorful industrial decor. They have a large private seating area for parties. They also have a street side outdoor patio. We sat outside on this summer evening. The area is spacious with solid high table furniture. People watching is fun but the traffic can be really loud at times. The new menu has a much broader appeal and less emphasis on Cuban only items. You will find lots of appetizer choices. Salads, burgers, flatbreads, pasta, seafood and chicken dishes are available. There are a decent number of specialty entrees and four varieties of tacos. All items pretty reasonably priced. Here is a run down on the food we ordered: -Chicken Flatbread: the crust was a little thicker than a normal thin crust and very soft; the manager said they really researched out this crust to fit their style; lots of delicious grilled chicken and toppings; very tasty! -Miso Honey Wings: 8 medium sized wings that are grilled and dipped; slightly crunchy skins; all white color on the inside but perhaps a little over cooked as the wing meat was tough and a bit dry; very unique sauce - very thick, sticky and rich in consistency; mild amount of sweetness and teriyaki flavors. The manager says about 70% of the people that order wings get the Miso Honey sauce. This dish was very good also! -Side salad: nice sized side salad; very fresh and attractive; no iceberg lettuce here - real greens; nice garnishment of carrots, cucumbers and roasted red peppers The team here was very friendly and professional - per normal. They hustled to serve. We particularly enjoyed sharing our experience with the manager and getting insight on the changes. Give the new menu a try for yourself!!

There are five entrees to go along with a small amount of burger, chicken tender and appetizer choices. I went with the burger of the month - the pizza burger. The friendly waiter said the pizza sauce was made in house from scratch. The sauce was outstanding! It was thick and sweet with a bold tomato paste taste. The bun was soft and slightly grilled with a buttery flavor - very nice! It is odd that the burger is served in halves and vertical. The burger patty was very thin and cooked to a medium well done consistency - I would prefer medium rare but they didn't ask my preference. I thought the burger was over cooked and a bit tough/crunchy on the edges. It did have and nice high quality meat flavoring as it is sourced locally. The burger was covered with grilled pepperoni. This added a nice "pizza" flavor when combined with a nice bedding of mozzarella cheese. My wife really liked her chicken tenders. They were nice and moist. The breading was unique, tasty and crispy. She said the fries were very good while the best part might have been the house fry dipping sauce. That sauce was a nice combination of southwest and traditional meat flavorings. The side salad, to replace the fries, was fresh yet very small. The salad came in a half-ball type dish that was slightly larger than half a baseball. The half ball was actually unstable to eat out of. I had to cup the bowl with one hand to keep it from tipping over. The salad had a few side tomato and pepper parts added. There just isn't much room for things in this small of a dish. We decided to try the strawberry bread pudding for dessert. This was a fantastic dish! The breading was basically two pieces of fried French toast. It was soft on the inside with a cinnamon swirl and strawberry pieces. The breading was drizzled with a thin moderately sweet strawberry flavored syrup. The syrup was accompanied by some fresh whipped cream also bathed in syrup. Overall, Ducky's does have good food. They have a limited menu at moderately expensive prices. My preference would be to sit down and enjoy the scratch made items versus squeezing them in while you bowl. Also consider dinning at Ducky's and walking across the street the Pearl Arts Center for a program.
