This is the first time I've ever played duckpin bowling. This is when the pins are tied to a string. You have three rolls in each frame to knock all ten pins down. Ducky's - duck pin bowling is fun, but is the food good? Ducky's advertises themselves as a scrap kitchen. So...it should be good, right? They don't have a very big menu. There are five entrees to go along with a small amount of burger, chicken tender and appetizer choices. I went with the burger of the month - the pizza burger. The friendly waiter said the pizza sauce was made in house from scratch. The sauce was outstanding! It was thick and sweet with a bold tomato paste taste. The bun was soft and slightly grilled with a buttery flavor - very nice! It is odd that the burger is served in halves and vertical. The burger patty was very thin and cooked to a medium well done consistency - I would prefer medium rare but they didn't ask my preference. I thought the burger was over cooked and a bit tough/crunchy on the edges. It did have and nice high quality meat flavoring as it is sourced locally. The burger was covered with grilled pepperoni. This added a nice "pizza" flavor when combined with a nice bedding of mozzarella cheese. My wife really liked her chicken tenders. They were nice and moist. The breading was unique, tasty and crispy. She said the fries were very good while the best part might have been the house fry dipping sauce. That sauce was a nice combination of southwest and traditional meat flavorings. The side salad, to replace the fries, was fresh yet very small. The salad came in a half-ball type dish that was slightly larger than half a baseball. The half ball was actually unstable to eat out of. I had to cup the bowl with one hand to keep it from tipping over. The salad had a few side tomato and pepper parts added. There just isn't much room for things in this small of a dish. We decided to try the strawberry bread pudding for dessert. This was a fantastic dish! The breading was basically two pieces of fried French toast. It was soft on the inside with a cinnamon swirl and strawberry pieces. The breading was drizzled with a thin moderately sweet strawberry flavored syrup. The syrup was accompanied by some fresh whipped cream also bathed in syrup. Overall, Ducky's does have good food. They have a limited menu at moderately expensive prices. My preference would be to sit down and enjoy the scratch made items versus squeezing them in while you bowl. Also consider dinning at Ducky's and walking across the street the Pearl Arts Center for a program. read more

It's bright and airy but also cozy. Staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and accommodating and the food And drinks were amazing. Went for brunch @ 1pm and some bowling to celebrate a birthday. Lanes are super close together (duh) so the room is limited. I recommend 2 lanes if you're doing more than 6 people. 1 hour was enough time to play one game with six people at a casual pace. Table space while you're bowling is limited so we usually bowl with drinks and a group appetizer and then move back to the tables to have an actual meal. Lots of fun with good food in a friendly atmosphere. Get the blood Mary "all dressed up" (yeah I know it's $24 but it's well worth it) We tried the Crying Johnny Smashburger (tastes like POWERS used to. IYKYK), the chicken TENDIES, and the red velvet pancakes they have for brunch. We drank the PB & J old-fashioned, a Paloma and that bloody Mary that I would seriously consider trading my teenager for. Today was our 2nd time in 2 months and we plan on going back sooner than later. Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. read more

If we weren't visiting in the cold weather I may have walked out, front desk staff def not a vibe. We wanted to bowl and eat but we weren't sure how it worked, never been. Not friendly and no lanes available, okay so we will eat. Mediocre smash burgers, tight seating arrangements legit asked the table next to us if we could join them joking. If you grab a drink at the bar or make a reservation I'm sure it would be a better experience. Server was kind and price was fair. We were in downtown and decided to try this place. It was very quiet and our server quickly took our order. My son had the crying burger and my son didn't like the caramelized onions. I had the Bayou Rigatoni and it was delicious and with plenty of shrimp and andouille. My wife had the buffalo wings and they were huge and delicious. We will try it out again to play bowls with friends. The environment is very relaxing and sporty, where you can watch your favorite games while you eat or play. read more

Where to start? The service was fantastic! Our server, Carly, was attentive, asked about allergies, accommodated the kids well, and was always checking on us. The environment is fun, relaxed, and very family friendly. During our time (we brought our four kids) we noticed several other families with kids and babies. It's a place where you feel your whole family is welcome. The areas for bowling are comfortable, clean, and spacious enough for a family of 6. Now on to the food... Everything we had was 10/10, but my favorite was the chicken tenders. They were moist, well portioned and the seasoning was fantastic. I could talk about them all day. We also had the feta dip which was delicious paired with bread, and chips and guacamole. My husband had a Bloody Mary to drink and I tried one of their NA drinks, which was refreshing and still made me feel like I had a nice mixed drink in my hand. I was a patron last Sunday. We had an eight top which was initially intended as six people, some I did not know, showed up! I want to apologize to our exceptional server "Elise"!! Elise was more than exceptional. Our table included many with food allergies. They failed to notify Elise. Elise ran ragged! She was patient, thoughtful, kind, despite some who did not exhibit kindness nor appreciation toward her. Elise was actually the bar tender we observed! Our table was at the front! This is a long building: Elise also had to tend a lane! What on earth kind of management is this place? Who would force a bartender (one), to tend a table as large as ours at the front, meanwhile this one person must run all the way to the back to ensure all patrons have drinks, all while she must also serve a bowling lane?? This place is governed by illogic! These owners should hide their head in embarrassment! Recently, I brought some business partners on a weekend day and the place was closed for a party! What restaurant/bowling alley closes its door to the general public for a party on the weekend? Lunacy! Thank you Elise! You are the one bright light in this facility! You carried it - ALONE! If they had a negative star. I made an online reservation for an alley. An hour and half before my scheduled time, I get a text that they canceled my reservation. I tried calling three times...they never answered! Called for the forth time and some guy answered and said they overlapped lanes and they canceled my reservation because the online reservations were not keeping up. He offered nothing for my canceled plans. I asked if my 'holding fee' would be refunded, he said yes but why didn't they offer a credit, another time slot, gift card for inconvenience? I now how zero faith in the online reservation for this place. They beg for business then cancel and give preference to others. read more

Great decor and fantastic bar! Quiet evening but make this a stop for duck pin bowling with a group and a few beers with a burger at the bar.
