Thank you, Chan! I was very warmly welcomed at opening time on a weekday. They had plenty of beautiful outdoor seating on a pedestrian-only road, something that is likely full often. I opted to dine inside and struck up a conversation with my server, Chan, who filled me in on some of the history of this restaurant. Beautiful Thai fixtures and authentic flavors fused with local flair. A great experience! My server recommended the duck bao buns and the curry sampler. A perfect way to experience a few flavors. The green curry was my favorite, and had just the right amount of kick for this spice wimp. On my way out, Chan recommended I take a walk around to see the rest of the establishment. I'm so glad I looked in the basement, because that's where the bar vibes are at! An umbrella-lined ceiling and tasteful decor make this the place to be!

Another excellent dinning experience at Nawa. The food is amazing and the renovated building is very attractive. Making reservations on line is easy. They no longer have a private parking lot so we used the parking garage. The hosts were all business and not very friendly. Our waitress situation was very confusing. A young man greeted us that table and started us off with water. He didn't introduce himself before he quickly disappeared. We assumed he was the waiter. Then a young lady showed up to take drunk orders. She didn't give us her name or let us know that she would be taking care of us. Given her apron..I assumed she was from the bar taking orders. Eventually I asked her who she was and she let us know that she was the waitress. After that...she was friendly and attentive with the refills. The food at Nawa is outstanding. The Roti flatbread was delicious. It was warm with a soft-moist texture. You could easily pull it apart to dip up sauces. The bread had a slightly oil and garlic taste. It was lightly "toasted" so not had a small crisp. I had the garlic pepper entree. The rice is always cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to a slight crisp. The beef was slight very think and cooked completely through. It came off a bit tough and required a knife to cut. The sauce was delicious. A moderately thin sauce with a mild garlic and pepper taste. The "medium" spice level came off a bit hotter than I expected. The sauce accented the vegetables and beef well. Excellent dish!!

SO.GOOD. A few friends and I went on a Saturday, right around opening, to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was super personable, which always makes a big difference. All four of us loved what we chose; pad thai, bao & pho. For my birthday, I was given a free dessert. I chose mango sticky rice, something I had never had before. Very good! Everything was cooked well, fresh & flavorful. The ambience was modern & a bit moody, very comfortable.

Stopped by for dinner and restaurant is decorated beautifully. I had a small high top table by the bar. Server came right away and I got the lychee martini, absolutely delicious, not too sweet. I had the crab Rangoon for appetizers, also good, lightly fried and lots of filling. For dinner I had the chicken pad Thai. It was cooked perfectly and has the right amount of seasoning! Service was amazing and food was delicious!

Drinks were good, and so were the atmosphere and staff. Unfortunately, my Pad Thai was very disappointing--it lacked flavor and wasn't spicy at all, even though I requested the spiciest option. My husband's dish was just okay, but the duck meat seemed a bit off

We're from out of town and wanted to try some Fort Wayne specialties (non-chains) and let me just say yum. The spring rolls were ok, but the Red curry noodles really sealed the deal . Coconutty, spicy, and just overall feels like a warm umami hug. I highly recommend this place to out of towners and in towners (lol). ps. My only qualm was the parking situation but it's downtown so what do you expect

Loved the menu it's unlike any other Asian restaurant I've tried. Our seating was a bit warm, but the drinks menu was fun and unique. Everything we ordered was devoured quickly, with just a few leftovers. Definitely returning on my visit!

Found a piece of a shrimp tail in my food. I did not order anything with shrimp in it. Told the server about it and I was told that " it's never happened before ". Got my bill with no discount or anything. After saying something again it was discounted. Just thought it would have been taken care of the first time.

Whereas this post is extremely BEIGE in appearance, the complex/advanced flavors of last night's feast danced on my tongue and made me so excited for changes in my hometown of Fort Wayne! The place? Nawa - a beautifully decorated restaurant that serves up extremely high-quality Thai food. The owners (who are longtime NE Indiana residents) have given foodies another reason to #GetLost in downtown Fort Wayne! *Yes, that IS a "curry flight." #Getlostindiana13K https://nawa.live/ @VisitFortWayne

The best road trip lunch ever! The setting was perfect. The staff was impeccable and the food was fantastic! Everything was on point next time in Fort Wayne. we are going to Nawa's located on a pedestrian with an outdoor café for pets with a water bowl welcoming

I had a delicious lunch at Nawa last week! Started out with a refreshing Blueberry Basil Lemonade and ordered the Khao Soi with chicken (it's in the Soups section if you have trouble finding it on the menu!) I ordered it "Extra Hot", and while it was zippy, it wasn't as hot as I hoped. Next time I will specify "Thai Hot"! It was certainly delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive, and you can't go wrong with Nawa's atmosphere, both inside and outside!

We were driving thru Fort Wayne and thought to have Valentine's Day dinner here because the reviews were good. We were seated at the bar because we didn't make reservations and they were booked. We ordered the Basil Fried Rice w/ chicken (spice level 4) and Pad Thai w/ chicken (spice level 4). We were so hungry and so excited only to be disappointed after the first bite. The basil fried rice had no flavor. Literally cooked rice mixed with red chili flakes and steamed chicken. I had to ask for some sauce to add flavor and was given more spice options and soy sauce and then was told about a sweet chili sauce. I added some of that sweet chili sauce and added a little flavor to take a couple more bites but then couldn't eat anymore. This was not a spice level of 4. The pad Thai had a strong fish taste, no flavor, and definitely wasn't a spice level of 4. Both of the dishes were somewhat room temp/cold, while others around us had steaming hot food. We barely ate our meals and just called it a night. We will not be returning to this restaurant again nor would I recommend it to my friends and family. Very disappointed!

Nice Thai restaurant located in Downtown Fort Wayne at The Landing. Parking available next to the building for Nawa and building resident. Otherwise, you can park on the street. Free after 5pm. Inside has nice fine dining ambiance with bar. Service is fast and friendly. Typical Thai menu. Asian inspired as they called so they have some fusion menu and drinks. Ordered the curry flight with 3 different sauces. Have 3 levels of spicy. Ordered the hot or most spicy. The spicy came from chili peppers which are not spicy for me. The sauces taste very good, typical curry sauce. One of them do fell more spicy than others. Guessed it's the Rama in the middle. Drunken Lo Mien noodle tasted ok with the sauce but the chicken is really dried, tasted almost like eating jerky. It is a fine dining Asian restaurant. Missing some kicked of taste for true asian/Thai taste.

She made great recommendations and helped us decide based on our time constraints. She was attentive and gave us a lot of information about the food, live music, DJ and art for sale on all the walls. We weren't super hungry, so we tried the flatbread - sooo good. I will be back because the whole menu, including the drinks, sound wonderful. They offered zero spirit, GL and other substitutions if needed which is nice. The atmosphere has a moody, darker hang out vibe to it. I loved it and can't wait to bring some friends and family back! She recommended reservations on the weekends, especially on "First Fridays" as that's when they do events and an art crawl on Broadway when the weather is nice. We parked on the street in front of the building so I'm not sure if there is a parking lot. They do have outdoor seating as well in the front of the building. I remember when this location was a food co-op waaaaaaay back in the day. They did a great job transforming it into a relaxing bar and restaurant. We will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!

But then you're presented with this shiny chandelier, illuminating this wide chamber, and hovering over a smooth, curved bar. The sides of this huge dining space are lined with dining tables, and walls lined with artwork, making the name quite appropriate. Subtle haloes of light dot the ceiling, and the color palette of the place (besides that big ol' chandelier) is dark, cool, and easy on the eyes. I took a seat at the main bar and was served within minutes. I enjoyed some light pop, rap, and classic rock tunes bumping in the background while I sipped on a delightful Smoked Apple Reserve. Every sip was a punch of sweetness, followed by an air of smokiness, and just a splash of herby aftertaste. It was however, not the kind of drink you could chug, so I sipped slowly throughout my meal. I'll have to come back for the appetizers, as I hear they're the star of the show, but neither the flatbreads nor the traditional bar-fare excited me. Thanks to Yelp though, I learned of the Blueberry and Brie Grilled Cheese, which I'd initially dismissed due to my dislike of Brie - the cheese and her portrayal of Captain Marvel, let's be honest. But I gave it a chance and ~woah~ it was something else. First of all, it's a perfectly cooked grilled cheese, with a flaky, crunchy exterior and addictingly cheesy inside, however I was ~taken aback~ by the flavor. I think I honestly had a Ratatouille moment, where that flavor of berry compote transported me to my childhood, chowing down on blueberry pancakes on Friday morning before school. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the flavor profile - it adds a subtle and satisfying sweetness to the creamy richness of the melted Brie, and it does it oh so well. The plentiful pieces of proscuitto provided some palatable protein, while also being a contrast in flavor and feel to the Berry and Brie. The fries were a little heavy on the straight potato flavor and not so much on seasoning and salt, but some garlic aioli did the trick there. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nothing like I've experienced in this city. I didn't expect to love this place as much as I did, but I can't wait to come back to try more apps, drinks, and return to that beautiful blueberry and brie...

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.
